1 Kings 8
1 Then King Salomon assembled the Elders of Israel, euen all the heads of the tribes, the chiefe fathers of the children of Israel vnto him in Ierusalem, for to bring vp the Arke of the couenant of the Lord from the citie of Dauid, which is Zion.
Potem Salomon zebrał starszych Izraela i wszystkich naczelników pokoleń, przywódców rodów synów Izraela, u siebie w Jerozolimie, aby przenieść arkę przymierza PANA z miasta Dawida, którym jest Syjon.
2 And all the men of Israel assembled vnto King Salomon at the feast in the moneth of Ethanim, which is the seuenth moneth.
Zebrali się więc u króla Salomona wszyscy mężczyźni Izraela na święto w miesiącu Etanim, to [jest] siódmym miesiącu.
3 And all the Elders of Israel came and the Priests tooke the Arke.
A gdy przybyli wszyscy starsi Izraela, kapłani wzięli arkę.
4 They bare the Arke of the Lord, and they bare the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the Tabernacle: those did the Priestes and Leuites bring vp.
I przenieśli arkę PANA, Namiot Zgromadzenia i wszystkie święte naczynia, które [były] w Namiocie. Przenieśli je kapłani i Lewici.
5 And King Salomon and all the Congregation of Israel, that were assembled vnto him, were with him before the Arke, offering sheepe and beeues, which could not be tolde, nor nombred for multitude.
Król Salomon i całe zgromadzenie Izraela zebrane u niego przed arką złożyli wraz z nim w ofierze owce i woły, których nie można było zliczyć ani spisać z powodu wielkiej liczby.
6 So the Priestes brought the Arke of the couenant of the Lord vnto his place, into the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, euen vnder the wings of the Cherubims.
Następnie kapłani wnieśli arkę przymierza PANA na jej miejsce do wnętrza domu, do Miejsca Najświętszego, pod skrzydła cherubinów.
7 For ye Cherubims stretched out their wings ouer the place of the Arke, and the Cherubims couered the Arke, and the barres thereof aboue.
Cherubiny bowiem miały rozpostarte skrzydła nad miejscem arki i okrywały od góry arkę i jej drążki.
8 And they drewe out the barres, that the endes of the barres might appeare out of the Sanctuarie before the oracle, but they were not seene without: and there they are vnto this day.
I powyciągali drążki, tak że ich końce było widać z Miejsca Świętego przed Miejscem Najświętszym, ale nie były widoczne na zewnątrz. I są tam aż do dziś.
9 Nothing was in the Arke saue the two tables of stone which Moses had put there at Horeb, where the Lord made a couenant with the children of Israel, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.
W arce nie było nic oprócz dwóch kamiennych tablic, które Mojżesz włożył do niej na Horebie, gdy PAN zawarł przymierze z synami Izraela po ich wyjściu z Egiptu.
10 And when the Priestes were come out of the Sanctuarie, the cloude filled the house of the Lord,
A gdy kapłani wyszli z Miejsca Świętego, obłok napełnił dom PANA;
11 So that the Priestes could not stande to minister, because of the cloude: for the glorie of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord.
Tak że kapłani nie mogli pozostać i pełnić służby z powodu tego obłoku, bo chwała PANA napełniła dom PANA.
12 Then spake Salomon, The Lord said, that he woulde dwell in the darke cloude.
Wtedy przemówił Salomon: PAN powiedział, że będzie mieszkać w mroku.
13 I haue built thee an house to dwell in, an habitation for thee to abide in for euer.
Już zbudowałem ci dom na mieszkanie – miejsce, w którym będziesz przebywać na wieki.
14 And the King turned his face, and blessed all the Congregation of Israel: for all the Congregation of Israel stoode there.
Potem król obrócił swą twarz i błogosławił całemu zgromadzeniu Izraela, a całe zgromadzenie Izraela stało.
15 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who spake with his mouth vnto Dauid my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,
I przemówił: Błogosławiony niech będzie PAN, Bóg Izraela, który swymi ustami mówił do mego ojca Dawida i swą ręką wypełnił to, co obiecał:
16 Since the day that I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no citie of all the tribes of Israel, to builde an house that my name might be there: but I haue chosen Dauid to be ouer my people Israel.
Od dnia, w którym wyprowadziłem swój lud Izraela z Egiptu, nie wybrałem żadnego miasta spośród wszystkich pokoleń Izraela do zbudowania domu, by moje imię tam przebywało. Lecz wybrałem Dawida, aby był [postawiony] nad moim ludem Izraela.
17 And it was in ye heart of Dauid my father to builde an house to the Name of the Lord God of Israel.
Dawid, mój ojciec, postanowił w [swoim] sercu, że zbuduje dom dla imienia PANA, Boga Izraela.
18 And the Lord said vnto Dauid my father, Where as it was in thine heart to build an house vnto my Name, thou diddest well, that thou wast so minded:
Lecz PAN powiedział do mego ojca Dawida: Ponieważ postanowiłeś w swoim sercu, by zbudować dom dla mojego imienia, dobrze uczyniłeś, że tak postanowiłeś w sercu.
19 Neuerthelesse thou shalt not builde the house, but thy sonne that shall come out of thy loynes, he shall builde the house vnto my Name.
Nie ty jednak będziesz budował ten dom, ale twój syn, który wyjdzie z twoich bioder, on zbuduje dom dla mego imienia.
20 And the Lord hath made good his worde that he spake: and I am risen vp in the roume of Dauid my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the Lord promised, and haue built the house for the Name of the Lord God of Israel.
PAN wypełnił swoje słowo, które powiedział. A [ja] powstałem w miejsce Dawida, swego ojca, i usiadłem na tronie Izraela, jak PAN zapowiedział, i zbudowałem dom dla imienia PANA, Boga Izraela.
21 And I haue prepared therein a place for the Arke, wherein is the couenant of the Lord which he made with our fathers, whe he brought them out of the lande of Egypt.
I przeznaczyłem tam miejsce dla arki, w której znajduje się przymierze PANA, które zawarł z naszymi ojcami, gdy wyprowadził ich z ziemi Egiptu.
22 Then Salomon stoode before the altar of the Lord in the sight of all the Congregation of Israel, and stretched out his handes towarde heauen,
Następnie Salomon stanął przed ołtarzem PANA wobec całego zgromadzenia Izraela i wyciągnął swoje ręce ku niebu;
23 And sayd, O Lord God of Israel, there is no God like thee in heauen aboue, or in the earth beneath, thou that keepest couenant and mercie with thy seruants that walke before thee with all their heart,
I powiedział: PANIE, Boże Izraela, nie ma Boga w górze na niebie ani w dole na ziemi podobnego tobie, który przestrzegałby przymierza i miłosierdzia wobec swoich sług, którzy postępują przed tobą całym swoim sercem.
24 Thou that hast kept with thy seruant Dauid my father, that thou hast promised him: for thou spakest with thy mouth and hast fulfilled it with thine hande, as appeareth this day.
Dotrzymałeś swojemu słudze Dawidowi, memu ojcu, tego, co mu obiecałeś. Swoimi ustami [to] powiedziałeś i swoją ręką [to] wypełniłeś, jak to jest dziś.
25 Therefore now, Lord God of Israel, keepe with thy seruant Dauid my father that thou hast promised him, saying, Thou shalt not want a man in my sight to sit vpon ye throne of Israel: so that thy childre take heed to their way, that they walke before me; as thou hast walked in my sight
Teraz więc, PANIE, Boże Izraela, dotrzymaj swemu słudze Dawidowi, memu ojcu, obietnicy, którą mu dałeś, kiedy mówiłeś: Nie zabraknie ci przede mną potomka, który zasiadałby na tronie Izraela, jeśli tylko twoi synowie będą strzec swej drogi, postępując przede mną tak, jak ty postępowałeś przede mną.
26 And nowe, O God of Israel, I pray thee, let thy worde be verified, which thou spakest vnto thy seruant Dauid my father.
A teraz, Boże Izraela, proszę, niech będzie potwierdzone twoje słowo, które wypowiedziałeś do swego sługi Dawida, mego ojca.
27 Is it true in deede that God will dwell on the earth? beholde, the heauens, and the heauens of heauens are not able to conteine thee: howe much more vnable is this house that I haue built?
Czyż naprawdę jednak Bóg zamieszka na ziemi? Oto niebiosa i niebiosa niebios nie mogą cię ogarnąć, a cóż dopiero ten dom, który zbudowałem?
28 But haue thou respect vnto the prayer of thy seruant, and to his supplication, O Lord, my God, to heare the cry and prayer which thy seruant prayeth before thee this day:
Zważ na modlitwę swego sługi i na jego prośbę, PANIE, mój Boże, wysłuchaj wołania i modlitwy, które twój sługa zanosi dziś do ciebie;
29 That thine eyes may be open toward this house, night and day, euen towarde the place whereof thou hast said, My Name shalbe there: that thou mayest hearken vnto the prayer which thy seruant prayeth in this place.
Aby twoje oczy były otwarte nad tym domem w nocy i we dnie, nad tym miejscem, o którym powiedziałeś: Tam będzie moje imię; abyś wysłuchał modlitwy, którą w tym miejscu zanosi twój sługa.
30 Heare thou therefore the supplication of thy seruant, and of thy people Israel, which pray in this place, and heare thou in the place of thine habitation, euen in heauen, and when thou hearest, haue mercie.
Wysłuchaj prośby swego sługi i swego ludu Izraela, gdy będą się modlić w tym miejscu. Wysłuchaj z miejsca swojego zamieszkania – z nieba, a gdy wysłuchasz, przebacz.
31 When a man shall trespasse against his neighbour, and he lay vpon him an othe to cause him to sweare, and the swearer shall come before thine altar in this house,

32 Then heare thou in heauen, and doe and iudge thy seruants, that thou condemne the wicked to bring his way vpon his head, and iustifie the righteous, to giue him according to his righteousnesse.

33 When thy people Israel shall be ouerthrowen before the enemie, because they haue sinned against thee, and turne againe to thee, and confesse thy Name, and pray and make supplication vnto thee in this house,

34 Then heare thou in heauen, and be mercifull vnto the sinne of thy people Israel, and bring them againe vnto the lande, which thou gauest vnto their fathers.
Ty wysłuchaj w niebie i przebacz grzech swemu ludowi Izraela, i przyprowadź ich znów do ziemi, którą dałeś ich ojcom.
35 When heauen shalbe shut vp, and there shalbe no raine because they haue sinned against thee, and shall pray in this place, and confesse thy Name, and turne from their sinne, when thou doest afflict them,
Kiedy niebo będzie zamknięte i nie będzie deszczu z powodu tego, że zgrzeszyli przeciwko tobie, ale będą się modlić w tym miejscu i wyznawać twoje imię, i odwrócą się od swoich grzechów, bo ich upokorzyłeś;
36 Then heare thou in heauen, and pardon the sinne of thy seruants and of thy people Israel (when thou hast taught the the good way wherein they may walke) and giue raine vpon the land that thou hast giuen to thy people to inherite.
Ty wysłuchaj z nieba i przebacz grzech swoich sług i swego ludu Izraela, naucz ich dobrej drogi, po której mają kroczyć, i spuść deszcz na swoją ziemię, którą dałeś swojemu ludowi w dziedzictwo.
37 When there shalbe famine in the land, when there shalbe pestilence, when there shall be blasting, mildewe, grashopper or caterpiller, when their enemie shall besiege them in the cities of their lande, or any plague, or any sickenesse,
Jeśli będzie w ziemi głód, jeśli będzie zaraza, susza, rdza, szarańcza lub robactwo, jeśli jego wróg będzie go uciskał w ziemi jego zamieszkania, [jeśli będzie] jakakolwiek plaga [lub] choroba;
38 Then what prayer, and supplication so euer shalbe made of any man or of all thy people Israel, when euery one shall knowe the plague in his owne heart, and stretch foorth his handes in this house,
Wszelkiej modlitwy i wszelkiego błagania, jakie zaniesie jakikolwiek człowiek [lub] cały twój lud Izraela, kto tylko uzna plagę swego serca i wyciągnie swoje ręce ku temu domowi;
39 Heare thou then in heauen, in thy dwelling place, and be mercifull, and doe, and giue euery man according to all his wayes, as thou knowest his heart, (for thou only knowest the heartes of all the children of men)
Wtedy ty wysłuchaj w niebie, w miejscu swego zamieszkania, i przebacz, racz działać i oddaj każdemu według wszystkich jego dróg, bo ty znasz jego serce – gdyż jedynie ty znasz serca wszystkich synów ludzkich;
40 That they may feare thee as long as they liue in ye lad, which thou gauest vnto our fathers.
Aby się ciebie bali po wszystkie dni, które będą żyć na ziemi, którą dałeś naszym ojcom.
41 Moreouer as touching the stranger that is not of thy people Israel, who shall come out of a farre countrey for thy Names sake,
Również i cudzoziemca, który nie jest z twego ludu Izraela, a jednak przybędzie z dalekiej ziemi przez wzgląd na twoje imię;
42 (When they shall heare of thy great name, and of thy mightie hande, and of thy stretched out arme) and shall come and pray in this house,
(Usłyszą bowiem o twoim wielkim imieniu, twojej mocnej ręce i twoim wyciągniętym ramieniu), gdy przyjdzie i będzie się modlić ku temu domowi;
43 Heare thou in heauen thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth for vnto thee: that all the people of the earth may know thy Name, and feare thee, as do thy people Israel: and that they may know, that thy Name is called vpon in this house which I haue built.
Ty wysłuchaj w niebie, w miejscu swego zamieszkania, i uczyń wszystko, o co ten cudzoziemiec będzie do ciebie wołać, aby wszystkie narody ziemi poznały twoje imię i bały się ciebie tak, jak twój lud Izraela, i aby wiedziały, że twoje imię jest wzywane nad tym domem, który zbudowałem.
44 When thy people shall go out to battell against their enemie by the way that thou shalt sende them, and shall pray vnto the Lord towarde the way of the citie which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I haue built for thy Name,
Jeśli twój lud wyruszy na wojnę przeciwko swemu wrogowi drogą, którą go poślesz, i będzie się modlić do PANA, zwracając się ku miastu, które wybrałeś, i ku domowi, który zbudowałem dla twego imienia;
45 Heare thou then in heauen their prayer and their supplication, and iudge their cause.
To wysłuchaj w niebie ich modlitwy i błagania i broń ich sprawy.
46 If they sinne against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not) and thou be angry with them, and deliuer them vnto the enemies, so that they cary them away prisoners vnto the land of the enemies, either farre or neere,
Jeśli zgrzeszą przeciw tobie – bo nie ma człowieka, który by nie zgrzeszył – i rozgniewasz się na nich, i podasz ich wrogowi, który uprowadzi ich w niewolę, do ziemi nieprzyjaciół, dalekiej czy bliskiej;
47 Yet if they turne againe vnto their heart in the lande (to the which they be caryed away captiues) and returne and pray vnto thee in the lande of them that caryed them away captiues, saying, We haue sinned, we haue transgressed, and done wickedly,
Lecz jeśli wezmą to do serca w tej ziemi, do której zostali uprowadzeni w niewolę, i odwrócą się, i będą cię błagać w ziemi tych, którzy ich pojmali, mówiąc: Zgrzeszyliśmy i postąpiliśmy przewrotnie, popełniliśmy niegodziwość;
48 If they turne againe vnto thee with all their heart, and with all their soule in the lande of their enemies, which led them away captiues, and pray vnto thee toward the way of their land, which thou gauest vnto their fathers, and toward the citie which thou hast chosen, and the house, which I haue built for thy Name,
I zawrócą do ciebie całym swym sercem i całą swą duszą, w ziemi swoich wrogów, którzy ich pojmali, i będą się modlić do ciebie zwróceni ku swojej ziemi, którą dałeś ich ojcom, ku miastu, które wybrałeś, i ku domowi, który zbudowałem dla twego imienia;
49 Then heare thou their prayer and their supplication in heauen thy dwelling place, and iudge their cause,
Wtedy wysłuchaj w niebie, w miejscu swego zamieszkania, ich modlitwy i ich prośby i broń ich sprawy;
50 And be mercifull vnto thy people that haue sinned against thee, and vnto all their iniquities (wherein they haue transgressed against thee) and cause that they, which led them away captiues, may haue pitie and compassion on them:
Przebacz swemu ludowi, który zgrzeszył przeciw tobie, i wszystkie ich występki, które popełnili przeciw tobie, a skłoń do miłosierdzia tych, którzy ich pojmali, aby zmiłowali się nad nimi.
51 For they be thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out of Egypt from the middes of the yron fornace.
Są bowiem twoim ludem i twoim dziedzictwem, które wyprowadziłeś z Egiptu, z wnętrza pieca do wytopu żelaza.
52 Let thine eyes be open vnto the prayer of thy seruant, and vnto the prayer of thy people Israel, to hearken vnto them, in all that they call for vnto thee.
Niech twoje oczy będą otwarte na prośbę twego sługi i na prośbę twego ludu Izraela, abyś ich wysłuchał we wszystkim, o co będą wołać do ciebie.
53 For thou diddest separate them to thee from among all people of the earth for an inheritance, as thou saidest by the hand of Moses thy seruant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord God.
Ty bowiem oddzieliłeś ich sobie od wszystkich narodów ziemi na dziedzictwo, jak to powiedziałeś przez swego sługę Mojżesza, gdy wyprowadziłeś naszych ojców z Egiptu, o Panie BOŻE!
54 And when Salomon had made an ende of praying all this prayer and supplication vnto the Lord, he arose from before the altar of the Lord, from kneeling on his knees, and stretching of his handes to heauen,
Gdy Salomon skończył zanosić do PANA wszystkie te modlitwy i prośby, powstał sprzed ołtarza PANA, [gdzie] klęczał, i ręce wyciągał ku niebu;
55 And stoode and blessed all the Congregation of Israel with a loud voyce, saying,
Stanął i błogosławił całe zgromadzenie Izraela, mówiąc donośnym głosem:
56 Blessed be the Lord that hath giuen rest vnto his people Israel, according to all that hee promised: there hath not fayled one word of all his good promise which he promised by the hand of Moses his seruant.
Błogosławiony [niech będzie] PAN, który dał odpoczynek swemu ludowi Izraela, zgodnie z tym wszystkim, co powiedział. Nie uchybił jednemu słowu ze wszystkich swoich dobrych obietnic, które wypowiedział przez swego sługę Mojżesza.
57 The Lord our God be with vs, as he was with our fathers, that he forsake vs not, neither leaue vs,
Niech PAN, nasz Bóg, będzie z nami, jak był z naszymi ojcami. Niech nas nie opuści ani nas nie porzuci;
58 That he may bow our heartes vnto him, that we may walke in all his waies, and keepe his commandements, and his statutes, and his lawes, which he commanded our fathers.
Niech skłoni ku sobie nasze serca, abyśmy kroczyli wszystkimi jego drogami i strzegli jego przykazań, nakazów i praw, które rozkazał naszym ojcom.
59 And these my wordes, which I haue prayed before the Lord, be neere vnto the Lord our God day and night, that he defende the cause of his seruant, and the cause of his people Israel alway as the matter requireth,
A niech te moje słowa, którymi wyraziłem swoje błaganie przed PANEM, będą bliskie PANU, naszemu Bogu we dnie i w nocy, aby bronił sprawy swego sługi i sprawy swego ludu Izraela, według potrzeby każdego dnia;
60 That all the people of ye earth may knowe, that the Lord is God, and none other.
Żeby wszystkie narody ziemi poznały, że PAN jest Bogiem, a innego nie ma.
61 Let your heart therefore be perfit with the Lord our God to walke in his statutes, and to keepe his commandements, as this day.
Niech więc wasze serce będzie doskonałe wobec PANA, naszego Boga, abyście postępowali według jego nakazów i przestrzegali jego przykazań tak jak dzisiaj.
62 Then the King and all Israel with him offred sacrifice before the Lord.
Potem król, a z nim cały Izrael, złożyli ofiary przed PANEM.
63 And Salomon offered a sacrifice of peace offrings which he offered vnto the Lord, to wit, two and twentie thousande beeues, and an hundreth and twentie thousande sheepe: so the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the Lord.
Salomon złożył jako ofiarę pojednawczą, którą ofiarował PANU, dwadzieścia dwa tysiące wołów i sto dwadzieścia tysięcy owiec. Tak król i wszyscy synowie Izraela poświęcili dom PANU.
64 The same day did the King halowe the middle of the court, that was before the house of the Lord: for there he made burnt offerings, and the meate offrings, and the fat of the peace offeringes, because the brasen altar that was before the Lord, was too litle to receiue the burnt offerings, and the meate offerings, and the fat of the peace offrings.
W tym samym dniu król poświęcił środkową część dziedzińca, która była przed domem PANA. Tam bowiem złożył całopalenia, ofiary z pokarmów i tłuszcz ofiar pojednawczych, ponieważ ołtarz z brązu, który znajdował się przed PANEM, był zbyt mały, aby pomieścić całopalenia, ofiary z pokarmów i tłuszcz ofiar pojednawczych.
65 And Salomon made at that time a feast and all Israel with him, a very great Congregation, euen from the entring in of Hamath vnto the riuer of Egypt, before the Lord our God, seuen dayes and seuen dayes, euen fourteene dayes.
W tym czasie Salomon, a wraz z nim cały Izrael, wielkie zgromadzenie od wejścia do Chamat aż do rzeki Egiptu, obchodzili święto przed PANEM, naszym Bogiem, przez siedem dni i przez siedem dni, [razem] czternaście dni.
66 And the eight day he sent the people away: and they thanked the King and went vnto their tentes ioyous and with glad heart, because of al the goodnesse that the Lord had done for Dauid his seruant, and for Israel his people.
A w ósmym dniu odprawił lud. Błogosławili króla i rozeszli się do swoich namiotów radośni i ciesząc się w [swoich] sercach z powodu całego dobra, które PAN wyświadczył Dawidowi, swemu słudze, oraz Izraelowi, swemu ludowi.
