1 Kings 8
1 Then King Salomon assembled the Elders of Israel, euen all the heads of the tribes, the chiefe fathers of the children of Israel vnto him in Ierusalem, for to bring vp the Arke of the couenant of the Lord from the citie of Dauid, which is Zion.

2 And all the men of Israel assembled vnto King Salomon at the feast in the moneth of Ethanim, which is the seuenth moneth.
Dia nivory ho any amin’ i Solomona mpanjaka ny lehilahy rehetra amin’ ny Isiraely tamin’ ny andro firavoravoana tamin’ ny volana Etanima (volana fahafito izany).
3 And all the Elders of Israel came and the Priests tooke the Arke.
Ary tonga ny loholon’ ny Isiraely rehetra, ary ny mpisorona no nitondra ny fiara;
4 They bare the Arke of the Lord, and they bare the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the Tabernacle: those did the Priestes and Leuites bring vp.
ary dia nampakariny ny fiaran’ i Jehovah sy ny trano-lay fihaonana mbamin’ ny fanaka masìna rehetra izay tao amin’ ny lay. Nampakarin’ ny mpisorona sy ny Levita ireo zavatra ireo.
5 And King Salomon and all the Congregation of Israel, that were assembled vnto him, were with him before the Arke, offering sheepe and beeues, which could not be tolde, nor nombred for multitude.

6 So the Priestes brought the Arke of the couenant of the Lord vnto his place, into the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, euen vnder the wings of the Cherubims.
Ary ny fiaran’ ny faneken’ i Jehovah dia nampidirin’ ny mpisorona ho ao amin’ ny fitoerany tao anatin’ ny efi-trano anatiny, dia ny fitoerana masìna indrindra, teo ambanin’ ny elatry ny kerobima,
7 For ye Cherubims stretched out their wings ouer the place of the Arke, and the Cherubims couered the Arke, and the barres thereof aboue.
fa nivelatra teo ambonin’ ny fitoeran’ ny fiara ny elatry ny kerobima ka nanaloka ny fiara sy ny baony.
8 And they drewe out the barres, that the endes of the barres might appeare out of the Sanctuarie before the oracle, but they were not seene without: and there they are vnto this day.

9 Nothing was in the Arke saue the two tables of stone which Moses had put there at Horeb, where the Lord made a couenant with the children of Israel, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.
Ary tsy nisy na inona na inona tao anatin’ ny fiara afa-tsy ny vato fisaka roa, izay nataon’ i Mosesy tao anatiny tany Horeba, fony Jehovah nanao fanekena tamin’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely tamin’ ny nivoahany avy tany amin’ ny tany Egypta.
10 And when the Priestes were come out of the Sanctuarie, the cloude filled the house of the Lord,
Ary nony nivoaka avy tao amin’ ny fitoerana masìna ny mpisorona, dia nameno ny tranon’ i Jehovah ny rahona;
11 So that the Priestes could not stande to minister, because of the cloude: for the glorie of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord.
ka dia tsy nahajanona hanao fanompoam-pivavahana ny mpisorona noho ny rahona, satria ny voninahitr’ i Jehovah nameno ny tranon’ i Jehovah.
12 Then spake Salomon, The Lord said, that he woulde dwell in the darke cloude.
Dia hoy Solomona: Jehovah efa nilaza fa hitoetra ao amin’ ny aizim-pito Izy.
13 I haue built thee an house to dwell in, an habitation for thee to abide in for euer.
Efa nanao trano hitoeranao tokoa aho, dia fitoerana hitoeranao mandrakizay.
14 And the King turned his face, and blessed all the Congregation of Israel: for all the Congregation of Israel stoode there.
Ary ny mpanjaka nitodika ka nitso-drano ny fiangonana, dia ny Isiraely rehetra (nitsangana avokoa ny fiangonana, dia ny Isiraely rehetra),
15 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who spake with his mouth vnto Dauid my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,
ka nanao hoe: Isaorana anie Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, fa ny vavany efa niteny tamin’ i Davida raiko, ary ny tànany no nahatanteraka izany taminy, dia ilay hoe:
16 Since the day that I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no citie of all the tribes of Israel, to builde an house that my name might be there: but I haue chosen Dauid to be ouer my people Israel.
Hatramin’ ny andro nitondrako ny Isiraely oloko nivoaka avy tany Egypta dia tsy mbola nisy tanàna nofidiko tamin’ ny firenen’ Isiraely rehetra hanaovana trano hitoeran’ ny anarako; fa nifidy an’ i Davida Aho hanapaka ny Isiraely oloko.
17 And it was in ye heart of Dauid my father to builde an house to the Name of the Lord God of Israel.
Ary efa mby tao am-pon’ i Davida raiko ny hanao trano ho an’ ny anaran’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely.
18 And the Lord said vnto Dauid my father, Where as it was in thine heart to build an house vnto my Name, thou diddest well, that thou wast so minded:
Nefa hoy Jehovah tamin’ i Davida raiko: Satria tao am-ponao ny fikasana hanao trano ho an’ ny anarako, dia tsara izany fikasanao izany.
19 Neuerthelesse thou shalt not builde the house, but thy sonne that shall come out of thy loynes, he shall builde the house vnto my Name.
Kanefa kosa tsy ianao no hanao ny trano, fa ny zanakao izay haterakao, izy no hanao ny trano ho an’ ny anarako.
20 And the Lord hath made good his worde that he spake: and I am risen vp in the roume of Dauid my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the Lord promised, and haue built the house for the Name of the Lord God of Israel.
Ary Jehovah efa nahatanteraka ny teniny izay nolazainy, koa nitsangana handimby an’ i Davida raiko aho ary mipetraka eo amin’ ny seza fiandrianan’ ny Isiraely tahaka ny efa nolazain’ i Jehovah, sady efa nanao ny trano ho an’ ny anaran’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, aho.
21 And I haue prepared therein a place for the Arke, wherein is the couenant of the Lord which he made with our fathers, whe he brought them out of the lande of Egypt.
Ary nasiako fitoerana teo ho an’ ny fiara izay itoeran’ ny faneken’ i Jehovah, ilay nataony tamin’ ny razantsika fony Izy nitondra azy nivoaka avy tany Egypta.
22 Then Salomon stoode before the altar of the Lord in the sight of all the Congregation of Israel, and stretched out his handes towarde heauen,
Ary Solomona nitsangana teo anoloan ny alitaran’ i Jehovah teo anatrehan’ ny fiangonana, dia ny Isiraely rehetra, ka namelatra ny tànany nanandrify ny lanitra
23 And sayd, O Lord God of Israel, there is no God like thee in heauen aboue, or in the earth beneath, thou that keepest couenant and mercie with thy seruants that walke before thee with all their heart,
ary nanao hoe. Ry Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely ô, tsy misy Andriamanitra tahaka Anao na amin’ ny lanitra ambony na amin’ ny tany ambany, Izay mitandrina ny fanekenao sy ny famindram-ponao ho an’ ny mpanomponao izay mandeha eo anatrehanao amin’ ny fony rehetra,
24 Thou that hast kept with thy seruant Dauid my father, that thou hast promised him: for thou spakest with thy mouth and hast fulfilled it with thine hande, as appeareth this day.
sady efa nahatanteraka tamin’ i Davida raiko mpanomponao ilay nolazainao taminy, fa nolazain’ ny vavanao izany dia notanterahin’ ny tananao tahaka ny amin’ izao anio izao.
25 Therefore now, Lord God of Israel, keepe with thy seruant Dauid my father that thou hast promised him, saying, Thou shalt not want a man in my sight to sit vpon ye throne of Israel: so that thy childre take heed to their way, that they walke before me; as thou hast walked in my sight
Koa tanteraho amin’ i Davida raiko mpanomponao, Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely ô, ilay nolazainao taminy hoe: Tsy ho diso zanakalahy eo anatrehako ianao hipetraka amin’ ny seza fiandrianan’ ny Isiraely, raha ny zanakao mitandrina ny alehany handehanany eo anatrehako tahaka ny nandehananao teo anatrehako.
26 And nowe, O God of Israel, I pray thee, let thy worde be verified, which thou spakest vnto thy seruant Dauid my father.
Koa ankehitriny ry Andriamanitry ny Isiraely ô, mifona aminao aho, aoka ho tò anie ny teninao, izay nolazainao tamin’ i Davida raiko mpanomponao.
27 Is it true in deede that God will dwell on the earth? beholde, the heauens, and the heauens of heauens are not able to conteine thee: howe much more vnable is this house that I haue built?
Andriamanitra va dia honina etỳ an-tany tokoa? He! ny lanitra, ary ny lanitry ny lanitra aza tsy omby Anao, koa mainka fa ity trano nataoko ity!
28 But haue thou respect vnto the prayer of thy seruant, and to his supplication, O Lord, my God, to heare the cry and prayer which thy seruant prayeth before thee this day:
Koa atreho ny fivavaka sy ny fifonan’ ny mpanomponao, Jehovah Andriamanitro ô, mba hohenoinao ny fitarainana sy ny fivavaka izay ataon’ ny mpanomponao eto anatrehanao anio,
29 That thine eyes may be open toward this house, night and day, euen towarde the place whereof thou hast said, My Name shalbe there: that thou mayest hearken vnto the prayer which thy seruant prayeth in this place.
mba hihiratan’ ny masonao andro aman’ alina amin’ ity trano ity, dia amin’ ny fitoerana nolazainao hoe: Ho ao ny anarako hihainoanao ny vavaka izay ataon’ ny mpanomponao manatrika ity fitoerana ity.
30 Heare thou therefore the supplication of thy seruant, and of thy people Israel, which pray in this place, and heare thou in the place of thine habitation, euen in heauen, and when thou hearest, haue mercie.
Ary henoy ny fifonan’ ny mpanomponao sy ny Isiraely olonao, raha mivavaka manatrika ity fitoerana ity izy; dia mihainoa any an-danitra fonenanao Hianao; eny, mihainoa ka mamelà heloka.
31 When a man shall trespasse against his neighbour, and he lay vpon him an othe to cause him to sweare, and the swearer shall come before thine altar in this house,
Raha misy olona manota amin’ ny namany, ary ampianianiny, ka tonga hianiana eo anoloan’ ny alitaranao amin’ ity trano ity izy,
32 Then heare thou in heauen, and doe and iudge thy seruants, that thou condemne the wicked to bring his way vpon his head, and iustifie the righteous, to giue him according to his righteousnesse.
dia mihainoa any an-danitra Hianao, ka manaova, ary mitsarà ny mpanomponao, hanameloka ny ratsy fanahy ka hampitsingerina ny nataony ho amin’ ny lohany, ary hanamarina ny marina kosa ka hanome azy araka ny fahamarinany.
33 When thy people Israel shall be ouerthrowen before the enemie, because they haue sinned against thee, and turne againe to thee, and confesse thy Name, and pray and make supplication vnto thee in this house,
Raha resy eo anoloan’ ny fahavalo ny Isiraely olonao noho ny nanotany taminao, ary miverina aminao sy manaiky ny anaranao indray ka mivavaka sy mifona aminao eto amin’ ity trano ity izy,
34 Then heare thou in heauen, and be mercifull vnto the sinne of thy people Israel, and bring them againe vnto the lande, which thou gauest vnto their fathers.
dia mihainoa any an-danitra Hianao, ka mamelà ny fahotan’ ny Isiraely olonao, ary ampodio amin’ ny tany nomenao ny razany izy.
35 When heauen shalbe shut vp, and there shalbe no raine because they haue sinned against thee, and shall pray in this place, and confesse thy Name, and turne from their sinne, when thou doest afflict them,
Raha mihantona ny andro ka tsy misy ranonorana noho ny nanotan’ ny olona taminao, ka mivavaka manatrika ity fitoerana ity izy ka manaiky ny anaranao sady miala amin’ ny fahotany, satria ampahorinao,
36 Then heare thou in heauen, and pardon the sinne of thy seruants and of thy people Israel (when thou hast taught the the good way wherein they may walke) and giue raine vpon the land that thou hast giuen to thy people to inherite.
dia mihainoa any an-danitra Hianao, ka mamelà ny fahotan’ ny mpanomponao, dia ny Isiraely olonao satria atoronao azy ny lalana tsara izay tokony halehany, ary mandatsaha ranonorana amin’ ny taninao, izay nomenao ho lovan’ ny olonao.
37 When there shalbe famine in the land, when there shalbe pestilence, when there shall be blasting, mildewe, grashopper or caterpiller, when their enemie shall besiege them in the cities of their lande, or any plague, or any sickenesse,
Raha misy mosary amin’ ny tany, na areti-mandringana, na mainan’ ny rivotra ny vary, na maty fotsy, na misy valala sy sompanga, na misy fahavalo manao fahirano azy ao amin’ ny taniny, dia ao amin’ ny tanànany, na inona fahoriana, na inona aretina,
38 Then what prayer, and supplication so euer shalbe made of any man or of all thy people Israel, when euery one shall knowe the plague in his owne heart, and stretch foorth his handes in this house,
izay vavaka rehetra sy fifonana rehetra ataon’ olona, na ny Isiraely olonao rehetra, izay samy mahalala ny fahorian’ ny fony avy, ka mamelatra ny tànany manatrika ity trano ity izy
39 Heare thou then in heauen, in thy dwelling place, and be mercifull, and doe, and giue euery man according to all his wayes, as thou knowest his heart, (for thou only knowest the heartes of all the children of men)
dia mihainoa any an-danitra fonenanao Hianao, ka mamelà heloka, ary manaova, ka omeo ny olonao araka ny alehany rehetra, fa fantatrao ny fony (fa Hianao dia Hianao irery ihany no mahalala ny fon’ ny zanak’ olombelona rehetra),
40 That they may feare thee as long as they liue in ye lad, which thou gauest vnto our fathers.

41 Moreouer as touching the stranger that is not of thy people Israel, who shall come out of a farre countrey for thy Names sake,
Ary henoy koa ny vahiny izay tsy isan’ ny Isiraely olonao, fa tonga avy any amin’ ny tany lavitra noho ny amin’ ny anaranao izy
42 (When they shall heare of thy great name, and of thy mightie hande, and of thy stretched out arme) and shall come and pray in this house,
(fa ho reny ny anaranao lehibe sy ny tananao mahery ary ny sandrinao ahinjitra), koa raha avy izy ka mivavaka manatrika ity trano ity,
43 Heare thou in heauen thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth for vnto thee: that all the people of the earth may know thy Name, and feare thee, as do thy people Israel: and that they may know, that thy Name is called vpon in this house which I haue built.
dia mihainoa any an-danitra fonenanao Hianao, ka manaova araka izay rehetra iantsoan’ ny vahiny Anao, mba ho fantatry ny firenena rehetra ambonin’ ny tany ny anaranao hatahorany Anao tahaka ny ataon’ ny Isiraely olonao ihany, ary mba ho fantany fa ny anaranao no efa nantsoina tamin’ ity trano nataoko ity.
44 When thy people shall go out to battell against their enemie by the way that thou shalt sende them, and shall pray vnto the Lord towarde the way of the citie which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I haue built for thy Name,
Raha mivoaka hiady amin’ ny fahavalon’ ny olonao, na ho aiza na ho aiza no hanirahanao azy, ka mivavaka amin’ i Jehovah manandrify ny tanàna izay nofidinao sy ny trano izay nataoko ho an’ ny anaranao izy,
45 Heare thou then in heauen their prayer and their supplication, and iudge their cause.
dia henoy any an-danitra ny fivavany sy ny fifonany, ka omeo rariny izy.
46 If they sinne against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not) and thou be angry with them, and deliuer them vnto the enemies, so that they cary them away prisoners vnto the land of the enemies, either farre or neere,
Raha manota aminao izy (fa tsy misy olombelona tsy manota), ka tezitra aminy Hianao ary manolotra azy eo anoloan’ ny fahavalony, ka dia ho entin’ ny mpamabo ho babo any amin’ ny tanin’ ny fahavalo izy, na ho lavitra na ho akaiky.
47 Yet if they turne againe vnto their heart in the lande (to the which they be caryed away captiues) and returne and pray vnto thee in the lande of them that caryed them away captiues, saying, We haue sinned, we haue transgressed, and done wickedly,
ary mahatsiaro any amin’ ny tanin’ ireo namabo azy ireo izy, ka mibebaka sy mifona aminao any amin’ ny tany izay nitondrany azy ho babo ary manao hoe: Efa nanota izahay sady efa nanao meloka sy efa nanao ratsy.
48 If they turne againe vnto thee with all their heart, and with all their soule in the lande of their enemies, which led them away captiues, and pray vnto thee toward the way of their land, which thou gauest vnto their fathers, and toward the citie which thou hast chosen, and the house, which I haue built for thy Name,
ka dia miverina aminao amin’ ny fony rehetra sy ny fanahiny rehetra ao amin’ ny tanin’ ny fahavalony izay namabo azy izy, ary mivavaka aminao manandrify ny taniny izay nomenao ny razany sy ny tanàna izay nofidinao ary ny trano izay nataoko ho an’ ny anaranao,
49 Then heare thou their prayer and their supplication in heauen thy dwelling place, and iudge their cause,
dia henoy any an-danitra fonenanao ny fivavany sy ny fifonany, ka omeo rariny izy;
50 And be mercifull vnto thy people that haue sinned against thee, and vnto all their iniquities (wherein they haue transgressed against thee) and cause that they, which led them away captiues, may haue pitie and compassion on them:
eny, mamelà ny heloky ny olonao izay nanota taminao sy ny fahadisoany rehetra izay nataony taminao, ary ataovy mahazo famindram-po amin’ izay mamabo azy izy, dia ny hamindran’ ireo fo aminy;
51 For they be thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out of Egypt from the middes of the yron fornace.
fa olonao sy lovanao izy, izay nentinao nivoaka avy tany Egypta, dia avy tao amin’ ny memy fandrendreham-by,
52 Let thine eyes be open vnto the prayer of thy seruant, and vnto the prayer of thy people Israel, to hearken vnto them, in all that they call for vnto thee.
mba hihiratan’ ny masonao amin’ ny fifonan’ ny mpanomponao sy ny fifonan’ ny Isiraely olonao hihaino azy amin’ izay rehetra iantsoany Anao.
53 For thou diddest separate them to thee from among all people of the earth for an inheritance, as thou saidest by the hand of Moses thy seruant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord God.
Fa Hianao, Jehovah, Tompo ô no nanavaka azy tamin’ ny firenena rehetra ambonin’ ny tany ho lovanao, araka izay nampilazainao an’ i Mosesy mpanomponao tamin’ ny nitondranao ny razanay nivoaka avy tany Egypta.
54 And when Salomon had made an ende of praying all this prayer and supplication vnto the Lord, he arose from before the altar of the Lord, from kneeling on his knees, and stretching of his handes to heauen,
Ary rehefa vita izany vavaka sy fifonana vehetra nataon’ i Solomona tamin’ i Jehovah: any, dia nitsangana niala teo amin’ ny alitaran’ i Jehovah izay efa nandohalehan’ ny lohaliny sy efa namelarany ny tànany ho amin’ ny lanitra izy.
55 And stoode and blessed all the Congregation of Israel with a loud voyce, saying,
Ary nitsangana izy ka nitso-drano ny fiangonana, dia ny Isiraely rehetra, tamin’ ny feo mahery hoe:
56 Blessed be the Lord that hath giuen rest vnto his people Israel, according to all that hee promised: there hath not fayled one word of all his good promise which he promised by the hand of Moses his seruant.
Isaorana anie Jehovah, izay nanome fitsaharana ho an’ ny Isiraely olony araka izay rehetra nolazainy; tsy misy latsaka na dia teny iray aza tamin’ izay teny soa rehetra nampilazainy an’ i Mosesy mpanompony.
57 The Lord our God be with vs, as he was with our fathers, that he forsake vs not, neither leaue vs,
Jehovah Andriamanitsika anie no amintsika, tahaka ny tamin’ ny razantsika; aoka tsy handao na hahafoy antsika Izy,
58 That he may bow our heartes vnto him, that we may walke in all his waies, and keepe his commandements, and his statutes, and his lawes, which he commanded our fathers.
mba hampanatoniny Azy ny fontsika handehanantsika amin’ ny lalany rehetra sy hitandremantsika ny lalàny sy ny didiny ary ny fitsipiny izay nandidiany ny razantsika.
59 And these my wordes, which I haue prayed before the Lord, be neere vnto the Lord our God day and night, that he defende the cause of his seruant, and the cause of his people Israel alway as the matter requireth,
Ary aoka izany teny nifonako teto anatrehan’ i Jehovah izany ho ao amin’ i Jehovah Andriamanitsika andro aman’ alina, mba hanomezany rariny ho ahy mpanompony sy ny Isiraely olony araka izay tandrifiny ho azy isan’ andro,
60 That all the people of ye earth may knowe, that the Lord is God, and none other.
mba ho fantatry ny firenena rehetra ambonin’ ny tany fa Jehovah no Andriamanitra, fa tsy misy afa-tsy Izy.
61 Let your heart therefore be perfit with the Lord our God to walke in his statutes, and to keepe his commandements, as this day.
Ary aoka ho marina amin’ i Jehovah Andriamanitsika anie ny fonareo, handehananareo amin’ ny didiny sy hitandremanareo ny lalàny, tahaka ny amin’ izao anio izao.
62 Then the King and all Israel with him offred sacrifice before the Lord.
Ary ny mpanjaka sy ny Isiraely rehetra teo aminy dia namono zavatra hatao fanatitra eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah.
63 And Salomon offered a sacrifice of peace offrings which he offered vnto the Lord, to wit, two and twentie thousande beeues, and an hundreth and twentie thousande sheepe: so the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the Lord.
Ary Solomona namono zavatra hatao fanati-pihavanana, Izay nateriny ho an’ i Jehovah, dia omby roa arivo amby roa alina sy ondry aman’ osy roa alina amby iray hetsy. Toy izany no nitokanan’ ny mpanjaka sy ny Zanak’ Isiraely rehetra ny tranon’ i Jehovah.
64 The same day did the King halowe the middle of the court, that was before the house of the Lord: for there he made burnt offerings, and the meate offrings, and the fat of the peace offeringes, because the brasen altar that was before the Lord, was too litle to receiue the burnt offerings, and the meate offerings, and the fat of the peace offrings.
Ary androtr’ io ihany no nanamasinan’ ny mpanjaka ny afovoan’ ny kianja izay teo anoloan’ ny tranon’ i Jehovah; fa teo no nanaterany fanatitra dorana sy fanatitra hohanina ary ny saboran’ ny fanati-pihavanana; fa kely loatra ny alitara varahina izay teo anatrehan’ i Jehovah ka tsy omby ny fanatitra dorana sy ny fanatitra hohanina ary ny saboran’ ny fanati-pihavanana.
65 And Salomon made at that time a feast and all Israel with him, a very great Congregation, euen from the entring in of Hamath vnto the riuer of Egypt, before the Lord our God, seuen dayes and seuen dayes, euen fourteene dayes.
