1 Kings 8

1 Then King Salomon assembled the Elders of Israel, euen all the heads of the tribes, the chiefe fathers of the children of Israel vnto him in Ierusalem, for to bring vp the Arke of the couenant of the Lord from the citie of Dauid, which is Zion.

೧ಅನಂತರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ದಾವೀದ ನಗರವಾದ ಚೀಯೋನಿನಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ತರುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಕುಲಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಇವರೇ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಪ್ರಧಾನಪುರುಷರನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.

2 And all the men of Israel assembled vnto King Salomon at the feast in the moneth of Ethanim, which is the seuenth moneth.

೨ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಏಳನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಾದ ಆಶ್ವೀಜ ಮಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾತ್ರೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದರು.

3 And all the Elders of Israel came and the Priests tooke the Arke.

೩ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಿರಿಯರು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ಯಾಜಕರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡರು.

4 They bare the Arke of the Lord, and they bare the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the Tabernacle: those did the Priestes and Leuites bring vp.

೪ಉಳಿದ ಯಾಜಕರೂ ಮತ್ತು ಲೇವಿಯರೂ ದೇವದರ್ಶನದ ಗುಡಾರ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಸ್ತು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡರು.

5 And King Salomon and all the Congregation of Israel, that were assembled vnto him, were with him before the Arke, offering sheepe and beeues, which could not be tolde, nor nombred for multitude.

೫ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೂ ಮಂಜೂಷದ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯವಾದ ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನು ಯಜ್ಞಮಾಡಿದರು.

6 So the Priestes brought the Arke of the couenant of the Lord vnto his place, into the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, euen vnder the wings of the Cherubims.

೬ಯಾಜಕರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಮಹಾಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳವೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಗರ್ಭಗೃಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆರೂಬಿಗಳ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನೇಮಕವಾದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟರು.

7 For ye Cherubims stretched out their wings ouer the place of the Arke, and the Cherubims couered the Arke, and the barres thereof aboue.

೭ಕೆರೂಬಿಗಳ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳು ಮಂಜೂಷವಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಾಚಿದವುಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಮಂಜೂಷವೂ ಅದರ ಕೋಲುಗಳೂ ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಅವುಗಳ ನೆರಳಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವು.

8 And they drewe out the barres, that the endes of the barres might appeare out of the Sanctuarie before the oracle, but they were not seene without: and there they are vnto this day.

೮ಆ ಕೋಲುಗಳು ಬಹಳ ಉದ್ದವಾಗಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಅವುಗಳ ತುದಿಗಳು ಗರ್ಭಗೃಹದ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿದರೂ ಹೊರಗೆ ನಿಂತವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಇವೆ.

9 Nothing was in the Arke saue the two tables of stone which Moses had put there at Horeb, where the Lord made a couenant with the children of Israel, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.

೯ಮಂಜೂಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಲಿಗೆಗಳ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಬೇರೇನೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೊಡನೆ ಹೋರೇಬ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರಿಸಿದನು.

10 And when the Priestes were come out of the Sanctuarie, the cloude filled the house of the Lord,

೧೦ಯಾಜಕರು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಮೇಘವು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡಿತು.

11 So that the Priestes could not stande to minister, because of the cloude: for the glorie of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord.

೧೧ಯೆಹೋವನ ತೇಜಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಮೇಘವು ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯಾಜಕರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಆಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.

12 Then spake Salomon, The Lord said, that he woulde dwell in the darke cloude.

೧೨ತರುವಾಯ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು, “ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೀ.

13 I haue built thee an house to dwell in, an habitation for thee to abide in for euer.

೧೩ನಾನು ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಒಂದು ಮಂದಿರವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅದು ನಿನಗೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಳವಾಗಿರಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡಿದನು.

14 And the King turned his face, and blessed all the Congregation of Israel: for all the Congregation of Israel stoode there.

೧೪ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನು ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಸಮೂಹದವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ,

15 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who spake with his mouth vnto Dauid my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,

೧೫“ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ. ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಬಾಯಿ ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಆತನ ಹಸ್ತವು ಈಗ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದೆ.

16 Since the day that I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no citie of all the tribes of Israel, to builde an house that my name might be there: but I haue chosen Dauid to be ouer my people Israel.

೧೬ಆತನು, ‘ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಆಳುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆನೇ ಹೊರತು ನನ್ನ ನಾಮದ ನಿವಾಸಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಆಲಯ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಕುಲಗಳ ಯಾವ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನು.

17 And it was in ye heart of Dauid my father to builde an house to the Name of the Lord God of Israel.

೧೭ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನು.

18 And the Lord said vnto Dauid my father, Where as it was in thine heart to build an house vnto my Name, thou diddest well, that thou wast so minded:

೧೮ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಒಂದು ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಒಳ್ಳೇದೆ ಸರಿ. ಆದರೂ ನೀನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಬಾರದು.

19 Neuerthelesse thou shalt not builde the house, but thy sonne that shall come out of thy loynes, he shall builde the house vnto my Name.

೧೯ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟುವ ಮಗನು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಬೇಕು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

20 And the Lord hath made good his worde that he spake: and I am risen vp in the roume of Dauid my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the Lord promised, and haue built the house for the Name of the Lord God of Israel.

೨೦ಯೆಹೋವನು ತಾನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದನು. ಆತನ ವಾಗ್ದಾನದಂತೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನಾಗಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಈ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದೆನು.

21 And I haue prepared therein a place for the Arke, wherein is the couenant of the Lord which he made with our fathers, whe he brought them out of the lande of Egypt.

೨೧ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದ ದೊರಕಿದ ನಿಬಂಧನಾಶಾಸನಗಳಿರುವ ಮಂಜೂಷಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿದೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

22 Then Salomon stoode before the altar of the Lord in the sight of all the Congregation of Israel, and stretched out his handes towarde heauen,

೨೨ತರುವಾಯ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತು ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದನು,

23 And sayd, O Lord God of Israel, there is no God like thee in heauen aboue, or in the earth beneath, thou that keepest couenant and mercie with thy seruants that walke before thee with all their heart,

೨೩“ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಸಮಾನನಾದ ದೇವರಿಲ್ಲ. ಪೂರ್ಣಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂಥ ಸೇವಕರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನೂ ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವವನು.

24 Thou that hast kept with thy seruant Dauid my father, that thou hast promised him: for thou spakest with thy mouth and hast fulfilled it with thine hande, as appeareth this day.

೨೪ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನೂ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೂ ಆದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿರುವೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿ ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹಸ್ತವು ಈಗ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದೆ.

25 Therefore now, Lord God of Israel, keepe with thy seruant Dauid my father that thou hast promised him, saying, Thou shalt not want a man in my sight to sit vpon ye throne of Israel: so that thy childre take heed to their way, that they walke before me; as thou hast walked in my sight

೨೫ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ, ‘ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನದವರು ನಿನ್ನಂತೆ ಜಾಗರೂಕತೆಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲೇ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಾದರೆ, ಅವರು ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು’ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದಿಯಲ್ಲಾ ಅದನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸು.

26 And nowe, O God of Israel, I pray thee, let thy worde be verified, which thou spakest vnto thy seruant Dauid my father.

೨೬ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನೂ, ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೂ ಆದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಸಾರ್ಥಕವಾಗಲಿ.

27 Is it true in deede that God will dwell on the earth? beholde, the heauens, and the heauens of heauens are not able to conteine thee: howe much more vnable is this house that I haue built?

೨೭“ದೇವರು ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವನೋ? ಆಕಾಶವೂ ಉನ್ನತೋನ್ನತವಾದ ಆಕಾಶವೂ ನಿನ್ನ ವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಲದು. ಹೀಗಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಈ ಮಂದಿರವು ಹೇಗೆ ಸಾಕಾದೀತು?

28 But haue thou respect vnto the prayer of thy seruant, and to his supplication, O Lord, my God, to heare the cry and prayer which thy seruant prayeth before thee this day:

೨೮ಆದರೂ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗೂ, ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಗೂ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು. ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನ ಮೊರೆಯನ್ನು ಲಾಲಿಸು.

29 That thine eyes may be open toward this house, night and day, euen towarde the place whereof thou hast said, My Name shalbe there: that thou mayest hearken vnto the prayer which thy seruant prayeth in this place.

೨೯ಈ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು, ‘ನನ್ನ ನಾಮಪ್ರಭಾವವು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವುದು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಟಾಕ್ಷವು ಹಗಲಿರುಳು ಈ ಮಂದಿರದ ಮೇಲಿರಲಿ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವಾಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸದುತ್ತರವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸು.

30 Heare thou therefore the supplication of thy seruant, and of thy people Israel, which pray in this place, and heare thou in the place of thine habitation, euen in heauen, and when thou hearest, haue mercie.

೩೦ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ನಾನಾಗಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಾಗಲಿ ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವುದಾದರೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ನಿವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಿನ್ನಹವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ಕ್ಷಮೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸು.

31 When a man shall trespasse against his neighbour, and he lay vpon him an othe to cause him to sweare, and the swearer shall come before thine altar in this house,

೩೧“ನೆರೆಯವನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತಪ್ಪುಮಾಡಿದವನೆಂಬ ಸಂಶಯಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತಾನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯೆಂದು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದಾಗ ಅಂಥವನು ಈ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಈ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡುವುದಾದರೆ,

32 Then heare thou in heauen, and doe and iudge thy seruants, that thou condemne the wicked to bring his way vpon his head, and iustifie the righteous, to giue him according to his righteousnesse.

೩೨ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನೀನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸು. ದುಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅವನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಬರಮಾಡಿ, ಅವನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಯೆಂದು ತೋರಿಸು. ನೀತಿವಂತನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ನೀತಿಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ಅವನು ನೀತಿವಂತನೆಂದೂ ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಡು.

33 When thy people Israel shall be ouerthrowen before the enemie, because they haue sinned against thee, and turne againe to thee, and confesse thy Name, and pray and make supplication vnto thee in this house,

೩೩“ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳ ಫಲವಾಗಿ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ತಗ್ಗಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿನ್ನ ನಾಮವನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿ ಈ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡುವುದಾದರೆ,

34 Then heare thou in heauen, and be mercifull vnto the sinne of thy people Israel, and bring them againe vnto the lande, which thou gauest vnto their fathers.

೩೪ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನೀನು ಅದನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ಬರುವಂತೆಮಾಡು.

35 When heauen shalbe shut vp, and there shalbe no raine because they haue sinned against thee, and shall pray in this place, and confesse thy Name, and turne from their sinne, when thou doest afflict them,

೩೫“ಅವರ ಪಾಪಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಆಕಾಶವು ಮಳೆಗರೆಯದಂತೆ ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿದವನು ನೀನೇ ಎಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ನಾಮವನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿ ಈ ಆಲಯದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವುದಾದರೆ,

36 Then heare thou in heauen, and pardon the sinne of thy seruants and of thy people Israel (when thou hast taught the the good way wherein they may walke) and giue raine vpon the land that thou hast giuen to thy people to inherite.

೩೬ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನೀನು ಆಲಿಸಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರೂ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೂ ಆದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ ಅವರು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗೆ ಸ್ವತ್ತಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸು.

37 When there shalbe famine in the land, when there shalbe pestilence, when there shall be blasting, mildewe, grashopper or caterpiller, when their enemie shall besiege them in the cities of their lande, or any plague, or any sickenesse,

೩೭“ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ಷಾಮ, ಘೋರವ್ಯಾಧಿ, ಬಿಸಿಗಾಳಿ, ಜೊಳ್ಳು, ಮಿಡತೆ, ಜಿಟ್ಟೇಹುಳ, ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ, ಅಂತು ಯಾವ ಉಪದ್ರವದಿಂದಾಗಲಿ, ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯಿಂದಾಗಲಿ ಬಾಧೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುವಾಗ,

38 Then what prayer, and supplication so euer shalbe made of any man or of all thy people Israel, when euery one shall knowe the plague in his owne heart, and stretch foorth his handes in this house,

೩೮ಮನಸ್ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಪೀಡಿತರಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಾಗಲಿ, ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾಗಲಿ ಈ ಆಲಯದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕೈಯೆತ್ತಿ ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನೂ, ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಾದರೆ,

39 Heare thou then in heauen, in thy dwelling place, and be mercifull, and doe, and giue euery man according to all his wayes, as thou knowest his heart, (for thou only knowest the heartes of all the children of men)

೩೯ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲಂಥ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ನಿವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಲಾಲಿಸಿ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪಾಪಪರಿಹಾರವನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸು. ನೀನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲವನಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೂ ಅವನವನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಮಾರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಹಾಗೆ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡು.

40 That they may feare thee as long as they liue in ye lad, which thou gauest vnto our fathers.

೪೦ಆಗ ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿರುವರು.

41 Moreouer as touching the stranger that is not of thy people Israel, who shall come out of a farre countrey for thy Names sake,

೪೧“ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನಲ್ಲದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪರದೇಶದವನು ನಿನ್ನ ನಾಮಸ್ತುತಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದೂರದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬರುವಾಗ

42 (When they shall heare of thy great name, and of thy mightie hande, and of thy stretched out arme) and shall come and pray in this house,

೪೨ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ನಾಮಮಹತ್ತು, ಭುಜಬಲ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಾಹಸ್ತ ಇವುಗಳ ವರ್ತಮಾನವು ಪರರಾಜ್ಯಗಳವರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವುದು. ಅವನು ಈ ಆಲಯದ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವುದಾದರೆ,

43 Heare thou in heauen thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth for vnto thee: that all the people of the earth may know thy Name, and feare thee, as do thy people Israel: and that they may know, that thy Name is called vpon in this house which I haue built.

೪೩ನಿನ್ನ ನಿವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ಅವನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸು. ಆಗ ಪರರಾಜ್ಯದವರೂ, ಲೋಕದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರು ನಿನ್ನ ನಾಮಮಹತ್ತನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದು, ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗಾಗಿ ಈ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಸಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.

44 When thy people shall go out to battell against their enemie by the way that thou shalt sende them, and shall pray vnto the Lord towarde the way of the citie which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I haue built for thy Name,

೪೪ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಶತ್ರುಗಳೊಡನೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಎಲ್ಲಿಗಾದರು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನೀನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಕಡೆಗೂ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಈ ಆಲಯದ ಕಡೆಗೂ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವುದಾದರೆ

45 Heare thou then in heauen their prayer and their supplication, and iudge their cause.

೪೫ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನೀನು ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳಿ, ಅವರ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸು.

46 If they sinne against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not) and thou be angry with them, and deliuer them vnto the enemies, so that they cary them away prisoners vnto the land of the enemies, either farre or neere,

೪೬“ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು. ಪಾಪಮಾಡದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನೀನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದು ದೂರದಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ, ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ ಇರುವ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಒಯ್ದಾಗ,

47 Yet if they turne againe vnto their heart in the lande (to the which they be caryed away captiues) and returne and pray vnto thee in the lande of them that caryed them away captiues, saying, We haue sinned, we haue transgressed, and done wickedly,

೪೭ಸೆರೆಯವರಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಪಟ್ಟು, ನಿನ್ನ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ದೊರಕಿದ ದೇಶದ ಕಡೆಗೂ, ನೀನು ಆರಿಸಕೊಂಡ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಕಡೆಗೂ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಈ ಆಲಯದ ಕಡೆಗೂ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು,

48 If they turne againe vnto thee with all their heart, and with all their soule in the lande of their enemies, which led them away captiues, and pray vnto thee toward the way of their land, which thou gauest vnto their fathers, and toward the citie which thou hast chosen, and the house, which I haue built for thy Name,

೪೮‘ನಾವು ನಿನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿ ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳಾದೆವು’ ಎಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವುದಾದರೆ,

49 Then heare thou their prayer and their supplication in heauen thy dwelling place, and iudge their cause,

೪೯ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ನಿವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಲಾಲಿಸಿ ಅವರ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸು.

50 And be mercifull vnto thy people that haue sinned against thee, and vnto all their iniquities (wherein they haue transgressed against thee) and cause that they, which led them away captiues, may haue pitie and compassion on them:

೫೦ಕಬ್ಬಿಣ ಕರಗಿಸುವ ಕುಲುಮೆಯೋಪಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ನೀನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿದ ಈ ಜನರು ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಕೀಯ ಜನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೆನಪುಮಾಡಿಕೊ.

51 For they be thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out of Egypt from the middes of the yron fornace.

೫೧ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಪರಾಧ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಯೊಯ್ದವರ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ದಯೆಹುಟ್ಟಿಸು.

52 Let thine eyes be open vnto the prayer of thy seruant, and vnto the prayer of thy people Israel, to hearken vnto them, in all that they call for vnto thee.

೫೨ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಕಟಾಕ್ಷವಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವಾಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಲಾಲಿಸು.

53 For thou diddest separate them to thee from among all people of the earth for an inheritance, as thou saidest by the hand of Moses thy seruant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord God.

೫೩ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸುವಾಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಿ, ಸ್ವಕೀಯಜನರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದಿಯಲ್ಲವೇ” ಎಂದು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದನು.

54 And when Salomon had made an ende of praying all this prayer and supplication vnto the Lord, he arose from before the altar of the Lord, from kneeling on his knees, and stretching of his handes to heauen,

೫೪ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕೈಯೆತ್ತಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಮೊಣಕಾಲೂರಿ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತು

55 And stoode and blessed all the Congregation of Israel with a loud voyce, saying,

೫೫ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಸರ್ವಸಮೂಹದವರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ,

56 Blessed be the Lord that hath giuen rest vnto his people Israel, according to all that hee promised: there hath not fayled one word of all his good promise which he promised by the hand of Moses his seruant.

೫೬“ತಾನು ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ. ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅತಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೂ ತಪ್ಪಿ ಹೋಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.

57 The Lord our God be with vs, as he was with our fathers, that he forsake vs not, neither leaue vs,

೫೭ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡಲೂ ಇರಲಿ, ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಡದಿರಲಿ, ನಿರಾಕರಿಸದಿರಲಿ.

58 That he may bow our heartes vnto him, that we may walke in all his waies, and keepe his commandements, and his statutes, and his lawes, which he commanded our fathers.

೫೮ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಆಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಮವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ಆತನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿಲಿ.

59 And these my wordes, which I haue prayed before the Lord, be neere vnto the Lord our God day and night, that he defende the cause of his seruant, and the cause of his people Israel alway as the matter requireth,

೫೯ನಾನು ಈಗ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯು ಹಗಲಿರುಳು ಆತನ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕದಲ್ಲಿರಲಿ.

60 That all the people of ye earth may knowe, that the Lord is God, and none other.

೬೦ಭೂಲೋಕದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಆತನು ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವಾಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬರಲಿ.

61 Let your heart therefore be perfit with the Lord our God to walke in his statutes, and to keepe his commandements, as this day.

೬೧ನೀವಾದರೋ ಈಗಿನಂತೆ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ, ಆತನ ವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ, ಆತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ” ಎಂಬುದೇ.

62 Then the King and all Israel with him offred sacrifice before the Lord.

೬೨ಆನಂತರ ಅರಸನೂ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಜ್ಞಮಾಡಿದರು.

63 And Salomon offered a sacrifice of peace offrings which he offered vnto the Lord, to wit, two and twentie thousande beeues, and an hundreth and twentie thousande sheepe: so the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the Lord.

೬೩ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಮಾಧಾನಯಜ್ಞಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವಧಿಸಿದ ಹೋರಿಗಳು ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೆರಡು ಸಾವಿರ ಮತ್ತು ಕುರಿಗಳು ಲಕ್ಷದ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ, ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅರಸನೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

64 The same day did the King halowe the middle of the court, that was before the house of the Lord: for there he made burnt offerings, and the meate offrings, and the fat of the peace offeringes, because the brasen altar that was before the Lord, was too litle to receiue the burnt offerings, and the meate offerings, and the fat of the peace offrings.

೬೪ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದ ಮುಂದಿರುವ ತಾಮ್ರದ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯು ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮ ದ್ರವ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಧಾನ್ಯ ನೈವೇದ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನಯಜ್ಞದ ಕೊಬ್ಬನ್ನೂ ಹಿಡಿಯಲಾರದಷ್ಟು ‍ಚಿಕ್ಕದಾಗಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಆ ದಿನ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪ್ರಾಕಾರದ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.

65 And Salomon made at that time a feast and all Israel with him, a very great Congregation, euen from the entring in of Hamath vnto the riuer of Egypt, before the Lord our God, seuen dayes and seuen dayes, euen fourteene dayes.

೬೫ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಹಮಾತ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ದಾರಿಯಿಂದ ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಹಳ್ಳದ ವರೆಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಮಹಾ ಸಮೂಹವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೂ ಎರಡು ವಾರ ಅಂದರೆ ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿನಗಳ ವರೆಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಬ್ಬಮಾಡಿದರು.

66 And the eight day he sent the people away: and they thanked the King and went vnto their tentes ioyous and with glad heart, because of al the goodnesse that the Lord had done for Dauid his seruant, and for Israel his people.
