1 Kings 5
1 And Hiram King of Tyrus sent his seruants vnto Salomon, (for he had heard, that they had anoynted him King in the roume of his father) because Hiram had euer loued Dauid.
சாலொமோன் தன் தந்தையின் இடத்தில் அரசனாக அபிஷேகம் செய்யப்பட்டிருக்கிறான் என்று தீருவின் அரசனான ஈராம் கேள்விப்பட்டான். தான் தாவீதுடன் எப்பொழுதும் நட்புறவு கொண்டிருந்தபடியால், தனது தூதுவர்களை அவனிடத்திற்கு அனுப்பியிருந்தான்.
2 Also Salomon sent to Hiram, saying,
சாலொமோன் ஈராமுக்கு அனுப்பிய பதில் செய்தியாவது:
3 Thou knowest that Dauid my father could not build an house vnto the Name of the Lord his God, for the warres which were about him on euery side, vntill the Lord had put them vnder the soles of his feete.
என் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதுக்கு எல்லாப் பக்கங்களிலிருந்தும் யுத்தங்கள் ஏற்பட்டன. அதனால் யெகோவா அவருடைய பகைவர்களை அவரின் காலின்கீழ் அடக்கும் வரைக்கும் தன் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் பெயருக்கு ஒரு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்ட அவரால் முடியவில்லை என்பது உமக்குத் தெரியும்.
4 But now the Lord my God hath giuen me rest on euery side, so that there is neither aduersarie, nor euill to resist.
ஆனால் இப்பொழுதோ என் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா எல்லாப் பக்கத்திலும் எனக்கு சமாதானத்தின் ஆறுதலைத் தந்திருக்கிறார். எனக்கு ஒரு பகைவனோ அல்லது அழிவோ எதுவும் இல்லை.
5 And beholde, I purpose to build an house vnto ye Name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake vnto Dauid my father, saying, Thy sonne, whom I wil set vpon thy throne for thee, he shall build an house vnto my Name.
ஆதலால் என் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதிடம் யெகோவா கூறியபடி, என் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் பெயருக்கு ஒரு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்ட நினைத்திருக்கிறேன். யெகோவா என் தகப்பனிடம், “உன்னுடைய இடத்திலே சிங்காசனத்தில் நான் நியமிக்கும் உன் மகனே என்னுடைய பெயருக்கு ஒரு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவான்” என்று கூறியிருந்தார்.
6 Now therefore commaund, that they hewe me cedar trees out of Lebanon, and my seruants shall be with thy seruants, and vnto thee will I giue the hire for thy seruants, according to all that thou shalt appoynt: for thou knowest that there are none among vs, that can hewe timber like vnto the Sidonians.
“ஆகவே லெபனோனிலுள்ள கேதுரு மரங்களை எனக்காக வெட்டும்படி கட்டளையிடும்; என்னுடைய மனிதரும், உம்முடைய மனிதரோடுகூட வேலை செய்வார்கள். நீர் உமது வேலையாட்களுக்குத் தீர்மானிக்கும் சம்பளம் எவ்வளவு என்றாலும் அதை நான் கொடுப்பேன். சீதோனியரைப்போல காட்டு மரங்களை வெட்டி வீழ்த்துவதற்குரிய திறமையுள்ளவர்கள் எங்களிடம் இல்லை என்பதும் உமக்குத் தெரியும்” என்று கூறி அனுப்பினான்.
7 And when Hiram heard the wordes of Salomon, he reioyced greatly, and sayde, Blessed be the Lord this day, which hath giuen vnto Dauid a wise sonne ouer this mightie people.
சாலொமோனுடைய பதிலைக் கேட்ட ஈராம் மிகவும் சந்தோஷப்பட்டு, “இந்தப் பெரிய இஸ்ரயேல் நாட்டை ஆள்வதற்காக ஒரு ஞானமுள்ள மகனைத் தாவீதுக்குக் கொடுத்த யெகோவாவுக்குத் இன்று துதி உண்டாகட்டும்” என்றான்.
8 And Hiram sent to Salomon, saying, I haue considered the things, for the which thou sentest vnto me, and will accomplish all thy desire, concerning the cedar trees and firre trees.
ஆகவே ஈராம் சாலொமோனுக்கு, “நீர் அனுப்பிய செய்தி எனக்குக் கிடைத்தது. கேதுரு மரத்தையும், தேவதாருமரத் தடிகளையும் நீர் கேட்டபடியே நான் தருவேன்.
9 My seruants shall bring them downe from Lebanon to the sea: and I will conuey them by sea in raftes vnto the place that thou shalt shew me, and wil cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receiue them: nowe thou shalt doe mee a pleasure to minister foode for my familie.
என் மனிதர் லெபனோனிலிருந்து அவைகளைக் கடலுக்கு இழுத்துக்கொண்டு வருவார்கள். அங்கே அவற்றைக் கட்டுமரங்களாகக் கட்டி, மிதக்கப்பண்ணி உமக்குத் தேவைப்பட்ட இடங்களுக்கு அவற்றைக் கடல் வழியாக அனுப்புவேன். அதன்பின் அவற்றை நான் பிரிப்பேன். நீர் அவற்றை எடுத்துச் செல்லலாம். இவற்றைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டு அவற்றுக்குப் பதிலாக என்னுடைய அரச குடும்பத்துக்குத் தேவையான உணவுப் பொருட்களை நீர் அனுப்பி என் விருப்பத்தையும் நிறைவேற்றும்” என்றான்.
10 So Hiram gaue Salomon cedar trees and firre trees, euen his full desire.
அந்தவிதமாகவே ஈராம் சாலொமோனுக்குத் தேவைப்பட்ட கேதுரு மரங்களையும், தேவதாருமரத் தடிகளையும் கொடுத்துக் கொண்டுவந்தான்.
11 And Salomon gaue Hiram twentie thousand measures of wheate for foode to his householde, and twentie measures of beaten oyle. Thus much gaue Salomon to Hiram yere by yere.
சாலொமோன் ஈராமின் வீட்டிற்கு உணவாக 3,600 டன் கோதுமையைக் கொடுத்தான். அத்துடன் 20,000 குடம் பிழிந்த ஒலிவ எண்ணெயையும் கொடுத்தான். வருடாவருடம் சாலொமோன் இவ்வாறு தொடர்ந்து ஈராமுக்குச் செய்து வந்தான்.
12 And the Lord gaue Salomon wisedome as he promised him. And there was peace betweene Hiram and Salomon, and they two made a couenant.
யெகோவா தாம் வாக்குப்பண்ணியபடியே சாலொமோனுக்கு ஞானத்தைக் கொடுத்தார். ஈராமுக்கும், சாலொமோனுக்கு இடையில் சமாதான உறவுகள் இருந்ததோடு அவர்கள் இருவரும் ஒரு ஒப்பந்தமும் செய்துகொண்டார்கள்.
13 And King Salomon raised a summe out of all Israel, and the summe was thirtie thousand men:
இதன்பின் அரசனாகிய சாலொமோன் இஸ்ரயேலின் எல்லாப் பகுதிகளிலிருந்தும் முப்பதாயிரம் வேலையாட்களைக் கட்டாய வேலைக்குச் சேர்த்தெடுத்தான்.
14 Whome he sent to Lebanon, ten thousand a moneth by course: they were a moneth in Lebanon, and two moneths at home. And Adoniram was ouer the summe.
ஒவ்வொரு மாதமும் பத்தாயிரம்பேரை லெபனோனுக்கு மாறிமாறி அனுப்பினான். இந்த முறையினால் அவர்கள் ஒரு மாதம் லெபனோனிலும், இரண்டு மாதங்கள் வீட்டிலும் இருக்கவேண்டியதாயிருந்தது. இந்தக் கட்டாய வேலைக்கு அதோனிராம் பொறுப்பாக இருந்தான்.
15 And Salomon had seuentie thousand that bare burdens, and fourescore thousand masons in the mountaine,
இன்னும் சாலொமோனுக்கு சுமை சுமக்கும் எழுபதாயிரம்பேரும். குன்றுகளில் கல் வெட்டும் எண்பதாயிரம் பேரும்,
16 Besides the princes, whome Salomon appoynted ouer the worke, euen three thousande and three hundreth, which ruled the people that wrought in the worke.
வேலைத்திட்டத்தை மேற்பார்வை செய்து வேலையாளரை நடத்துகின்ற மூவாயிரத்து முந்நூறு மேற்பார்வையாளர்களும் இருந்தார்கள்.
17 And the King commanded them, and they brought great stones and costly stones to make the foundation of the house, euen hewed stones.
மக்கள் அரசனுடைய கட்டளைப்படி ஆலய அஸ்திபாரத்திற்காக, கற்குகையிலிருந்து உயர் சிறந்த கற்பாறைகளைப் பெயர்த்தெடுத்துக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.
18 And Salomons workemen, and the workemen of Hiram, and the masons hewed and prepared timber and stones for the buylding of the house.
சாலொமோனின் ஈராமின் கைவினைஞர்களும், கிபலியிலிருந்து வந்த மனிதரும், மரங்களையும் கற்களையும் வெட்டி ஆலயம் கட்டுவதற்கு ஆயத்தம் செய்தனர்.
