1 Kings 4
1 And King Salomon was King ouer all Israel.
El rey Salomón reinó sobre todo Israel.
2 And these were his princes, Azariah the sonne of Zadok the Priest,
Éstos eran los oficiales que tenía: Azarías, hijo del sacerdote Sadoc,
3 Elihoreph and Ahiah the sonnes of Shisha scribes, Iehoshaphat the sonne of Ahilud, the recorder,
Elihoref y Ahías, hijos de Sisa, eran los escribas. Josafat, hijo de Ahilud era el cronista.
4 And Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada was ouer the hoste, and Zadok and Abiathar Priests,
Benaías, hijo de Joiada, era general del ejército. Sadoc y Abiatar eran los sacerdotes.
5 And Azariah the sonne of Nathan was ouer the officers, and Zabud the sonne of Nathan Priest was the Kings friend,
Azarías, hijo de Natán, era jefe de los oficiales reales. Zabud, hijo de Natán, era ministro principal y consejero del rey.
6 And Ahishar was ouer the houshold: and Adoniram the sonne of Abda was ouer the tribute.
Ahisar tenía a su cargo la casa real y Adoniram, hijo de Abda, el cargo de los tributos.
7 And Salomon had twelue officers ouer all Israel, which prouided vitailes for the King and his housholde: eche man had a moneth in the yeere to prouide vitailes.
Salomón tenía 12 gobernadores en todo Israel que abastecían al rey y a su casa. Cada uno de ellos estaba obligado a abastecerlo un mes del año.
8 And these are their names: the sonne of Hur in mount Ephraim:
Estos eran sus nombres: Ben-Hur, en la región montañosa de Efraín;
9 The sonne of Dekar in Makaz, and in Shaalbim and Beth-shemesh, and Elon and Beth-hanan:
el hijo de Decar, en Macaz, en Saalbim, en Bet-semes, y en Elon hasta Bet-hanán;
10 The sonne of Hesed in Aruboth, to whom perteined Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:
el hijo de Jésed, en Arubot; éste también tenía Soco y toda la tierra de Hefer;
11 The sonne of Abinadab in all the region of Dor, which had Taphath the daughter of Salomon to wife.
el hijo de Abinadab, en toda la región de Dor. Éste tenía como esposa a Tafat, hija de Salomón;
12 Baana the sonne of Ahilud in Taanach, and Megiddo, and in all Beth-shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Izreel, from Beth-shean to Abelmeholah, eue til beyond ouer against Iokmeam:
Baaná, hijo de Ahilud, en Taanac, Meguido y en todo Bet-seán que está junto a Zaretán, más abajo de Jezreel, y desde Bet-seán hasta Abel-mehola y hasta la otra parte de Jocmeam;
13 The sonne of Geber in Ramoth Gilead, and his were the townes of Iair, the sonne of Manasseh, which are in Gilead, and vnder him was the region of Argob, which is in Bashan: threescore great cities with walles and barres of brasse.
el hijo de Geber, en Ramot de Galaad; éste también ejercía en las aldeas de Jaír, hijo de Manasés que estaban en Galaad, y tenía también la región de Argob, que está en Basán, con 60 grandes ciudades amuralladas y con barra de bronce;
14 Ahinadab the sonne of Iddo had to Mahanaim:
Ahinadab, hijo de Ido, en Mahanaim;
15 Ahimaaz in Naphtali, and he tooke Basmath the daughter of Salomon to wife:
Ahimaas, en Neftalí; [Ahimaas] tomó como esposa a Basemat, también hija de Salomón;
16 Baanah the sonne of Hushai in Asher and in Aloth:
Baaná, hijo de Husai, en Aser y en Alot;
17 Iehoshaphat the sonne of Paruah in Issachar.
Josafat, hijo de Parúa, en Isacar;
18 Shimei the sonne of Elah in Beniamin:
Simei, hijo de Ela, en Benjamín;
19 Geber the sonne of Vri in the countrey of Gilead, the land of Sihon King of the Amorites, and of Og King of Bashan, and was officer alone in the land.
y Geber, hijo de Uri, quien era el único gobernador en la tierra de Galaad, tierra [que perteneció] a Sehón, rey de los amorreos, y a Og, rey de Basán. [Geber] gobernaba en toda la región.
20 Iudah and Israel were many, as the sand of the sea in number, eating, drinking, and making merry.
Judá e Israel eran tan numerosos en multitud como la arena que está junto al mar. Comían, bebían y se regocijaban.
21 And Salomon reigned ouer all kingdomes, from the Riuer vnto the lande of the Philistims, and vnto the border of Egypt, and they brought presents, and serued Salomon all the dayes of his life.
Salomón gobernaba sobre todos los reinos, desde el río [Éufrates] hasta la tierra de los filisteos y el límite con Egipto. Llevaban tributo y sirvieron a Salomón todos los días de su vida.
22 And Salomons vitailes for one day were thirtie measures of fine floure, and threescore measures of meale:
Las provisiones diarias de Salomón eran: 6.600 litros de flor de harina, 13.200 litros de harina corriente,
23 Ten fat oxen, and twentie oxen of the pastures, and an hundreth sheepe, beside hartes, and buckes, and bugles, and fat foule.
10 bueyes gordos, 20 bueyes de pasto y 100 ovejas, sin contar los venados, las gacelas, los corzos y las aves gordas.
24 For he ruled in all the region on the other side of the Riuer, from Tiphsah euen vnto Azzah, ouer all the Kings on the other side the Riuer: and he had peace round about him on euery side.
Porque él tenía dominio en toda la región al oeste del río [Éufrates], desde Tifsa hasta Gaza, sobre todos los reyes del lado oeste del río. Tuvo paz por todos lados alrededor de él.
25 And Iudah and Israel dwelt without feare, euery man vnder his vine, and vnder his fig tree, from Dan, euen to Beer-sheba, all the dayes of Salomon.
Así, Judá e Israel vivieron con seguridad todos los días de Salomón, cada cual debajo de su vid y su higuera, desde Dan hasta Beerseba.
26 And Salomon had fourtie thousande stalles of horses for his charets, and twelue thousand horsemen.
Salomón tenía en sus establos 40.000 caballos para sus carruajes y 12.000 jinetes.
27 And these officers prouided vitaile for king Salomon, and for all that came to King Salomons table, euery man his moneth, and they suffred to lacke nothing.
Los gobernadores, cada uno en su mes, proveían al rey Salomón y a todo el que llegaba a la mesa del rey, para que no faltara algo.
28 Barley also and strawe for the horses and mules brought they vnto the place where the officers were, euery man according to his charge.
Llevaban también cebada y pasto para los caballos y las bestias de carga, al lugar donde él estaba, cada uno según su cuota.
29 And God gaue Salomon wisdome and vnderstanding exceeding much, and a large heart, euen as the sand that is on the sea shore,
ʼElohim [le] dio a Salomón sabiduría, gran entendimiento y amplitud de corazón, como la arena que está en la orilla del mar.
30 And Salomons wisdome excelled the wisedome of all the children of the East and all the wisedome of Egypt.
La sabiduría de Salomón sobrepasó la sabiduría de todos los pueblos del oriente y toda la sabiduría de Egipto.
31 For he was wiser then any man: yea, then were Ethan the Ezrahite, the Heman, then Chalcol, then Darda the sonnes of Mahol: and he was famous throughout all nations round about.
Él fue más sabio que todos los hombres: más que Etán ezraíta y Hemán, Calcol y Darda, hijos de Mahol. Su nombre fue conocido en todas las naciones de alrededor.
32 And Salomon spake three thousand prouerbs: and his songs were a thousand and fiue.
Compuso 3.000 proverbios y 5.000 cantares.
33 And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon, euen vnto the hyssope that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of foules, and of creeping thinges, and of fishes.
Habló acerca de los árboles, desde el cedro del Líbano hasta el hisopo que crece en el muro. También habló acerca de los cuadrúpedos, las aves, los reptiles y los peces.
34 And there came of all people to heare the wisedome of Salomon, from all Kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisedome.
Hombres de todos los pueblos llegaban para escuchar la sabiduría de Salomón. Todos los reyes de la tierra oían acerca de su sabiduría.
