1 Kings 4
1 And King Salomon was King ouer all Israel.
IL re Salomone adunque fu re sopra tutto Israele.
2 And these were his princes, Azariah the sonne of Zadok the Priest,
E questi [erano] i principali signori della sua corte: Azaria, figliuolo di Sadoc, [era] Governatore;
3 Elihoreph and Ahiah the sonnes of Shisha scribes, Iehoshaphat the sonne of Ahilud, the recorder,
Elihoref ed Ahia, figliuoli di Sisa, [erano] Segretari; Iosafat, figliuolo di Ahilud, [era] Cancelliere;
4 And Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada was ouer the hoste, and Zadok and Abiathar Priests,
Benaia, figliuolo di Ioiada, [era] Capo dell'esercito; e Sadoc ed Ebiatar [erano] Sacerdoti;
5 And Azariah the sonne of Nathan was ouer the officers, and Zabud the sonne of Nathan Priest was the Kings friend,
ed Azaria, figliuolo di Natan, [era] sopra i commissari; e Zabud, figliuolo di Natan, [era] principale Ufficiale, famigliare del re;
6 And Ahishar was ouer the houshold: and Adoniram the sonne of Abda was ouer the tribute.
ed Ahizar [era] il gran Maestro di casa; e Adoniram, figliuolo di Abda, [era] sopra i tributi.
7 And Salomon had twelue officers ouer all Israel, which prouided vitailes for the King and his housholde: eche man had a moneth in the yeere to prouide vitailes.
Or Salomone avea dodici commissari sopra tutto Israele, i quali provvedevano di vittuaglia il re e la sua casa; ciascuno di essi avea la cura di provvedere di vittuaglia un mese dell'anno.
8 And these are their names: the sonne of Hur in mount Ephraim:
E questi [erano] i nomi loro: Il figliuolo di Ur [era commissario] nel monte di Efraim.
9 The sonne of Dekar in Makaz, and in Shaalbim and Beth-shemesh, and Elon and Beth-hanan:
Il figliuolo di Decher, in Macas, ed in Saalbim, ed in Bet-semes, ed in Elon, [ed] in Bet-hanan.
10 The sonne of Hesed in Aruboth, to whom perteined Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:
Il figliuolo di Hesed, in Arubbot; del suo ripartimento [era] Soco, e tutto il paese di Hefer.
11 The sonne of Abinadab in all the region of Dor, which had Taphath the daughter of Salomon to wife.
Il figliuolo di Abinadab, in tutta la contrada di Dor; costui ebbe per moglie Tafat, figliuola di Salomone.
12 Baana the sonne of Ahilud in Taanach, and Megiddo, and in all Beth-shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Izreel, from Beth-shean to Abelmeholah, eue til beyond ouer against Iokmeam:
Baana, figliuolo di Ahilud, in Taanac, ed in Meghiddo, ed in tutta [la contrada di] Bet-sean, che [è] presso di Sartan, disotto ad Izreel, da Bet-sean fino ad Abel-mehola, fin di là da Iocmeam.
13 The sonne of Geber in Ramoth Gilead, and his were the townes of Iair, the sonne of Manasseh, which are in Gilead, and vnder him was the region of Argob, which is in Bashan: threescore great cities with walles and barres of brasse.
Il figliuolo di Gheber, in Ramot di Galaad; del suo ripartimento [erano] le villate di Iair, figliuol di Manasse, che [sono] in Galaad; ed anche la contrada di Argob che [è] in Basan; sessanta gran città murate, con isbarre di rame.
14 Ahinadab the sonne of Iddo had to Mahanaim:
Ahinadab, figliuolo d'Iddo, in Mahanaim.
15 Ahimaaz in Naphtali, and he tooke Basmath the daughter of Salomon to wife:
Ahimaas, in Neftali; ancora costui prese una figliuola di Salomone, [cioè: ] Basmat, per moglie.
16 Baanah the sonne of Hushai in Asher and in Aloth:
Baana, figliuolo di Husai, in Aser, ed in Alot.
17 Iehoshaphat the sonne of Paruah in Issachar.
Iosafat, figliuolo di Parua, in Issacar.
18 Shimei the sonne of Elah in Beniamin:
Simi, figliuolo di Ela, in Beniamino.
19 Geber the sonne of Vri in the countrey of Gilead, the land of Sihon King of the Amorites, and of Og King of Bashan, and was officer alone in the land.
Gheber, figliuolo di Uri, nel paese di Galaad, [che fu] il paese di Sihon, re degli Amorrei, e di Og, re di Basan; [ed era] solo commissario in quel paese.
20 Iudah and Israel were many, as the sand of the sea in number, eating, drinking, and making merry.
Giuda ed Israele [erano] in gran numero; [erano] come la rena ch'[è] in sul [lito del] mare, in moltitudine; mangiavano, e beveano, e si rallegravano.
21 And Salomon reigned ouer all kingdomes, from the Riuer vnto the lande of the Philistims, and vnto the border of Egypt, and they brought presents, and serued Salomon all the dayes of his life.
E Salomone signoreggiava sopra tutti i regni di qua dal Fiume, infino al paese de' Filistei, ed infino a' confini di Egitto; essi portavano presenti a Salomone, e furono suoi soggetti tutto il tempo della vita sua.
22 And Salomons vitailes for one day were thirtie measures of fine floure, and threescore measures of meale:
Ora la provvisione della vittuaglia di Salomone, per ciascun giorno, era di trenta cori di fior di farina, e di sessanta cori d' [altra] farina;
23 Ten fat oxen, and twentie oxen of the pastures, and an hundreth sheepe, beside hartes, and buckes, and bugles, and fat foule.
di dieci buoi grassi, e di venti buoi di pasco, e di cento montoni, oltre a' cervi, e cavriuoli, e daini, e pollame di stia.
24 For he ruled in all the region on the other side of the Riuer, from Tiphsah euen vnto Azzah, ouer all the Kings on the other side the Riuer: and he had peace round about him on euery side.
Perciocchè egli signoreggiava in tutto [il paese] di qua del Fiume, da Tifsa fino in Gaza, sopra tutti i re [ch'erano] di qua dal Fiume; ed avea pace d'intorno a sè da ogni lato.
25 And Iudah and Israel dwelt without feare, euery man vnder his vine, and vnder his fig tree, from Dan, euen to Beer-sheba, all the dayes of Salomon.
E Giuda ed Israele dimoravano in sicurtà, ciascuno sotto alla sua vite, e sotto al suo fico, da Dan fino in Beerseba, tutto il tempo di Salomone.
26 And Salomon had fourtie thousande stalles of horses for his charets, and twelue thousand horsemen.
Salomone avea ancora quarantamila luoghi da cavalli per li suoi carri, e [per] dodicimila cavalieri.
27 And these officers prouided vitaile for king Salomon, and for all that came to King Salomons table, euery man his moneth, and they suffred to lacke nothing.
E que' commissari, un mese dell'anno per uno, provvedevano di vittuaglia il re Salomone, e tutti quelli che si accostavano alla sua tavola; non lasciavano mancar cosa alcuna.
28 Barley also and strawe for the horses and mules brought they vnto the place where the officers were, euery man according to his charge.
Facevano eziandio venir l'orzo e la paglia, per i cavalli e per i muli, nel luogo dove erano; ciascuno secondo la sua commissione.
29 And God gaue Salomon wisdome and vnderstanding exceeding much, and a large heart, euen as the sand that is on the sea shore,
E IDDIO diede sapienza a Salomone, e grandissimo senno, ed un animo capace di tante cose, quant'[è] la rena ch'[è] in sul lito del mare.
30 And Salomons wisdome excelled the wisedome of all the children of the East and all the wisedome of Egypt.
E la sapienza di Salomone fu maggiore che la sapienza di tutti gli Orientali, e che tutta la sapienza degli Egizi;
31 For he was wiser then any man: yea, then were Ethan the Ezrahite, the Heman, then Chalcol, then Darda the sonnes of Mahol: and he was famous throughout all nations round about.
talchè egli era più savio che alcun [altro] uomo; più ch'Etan Ezrahita, e che Heman, e che Calcol e che Darda, figliuoli di Mahol; e la sua fama andò per tutte le nazioni d'ogn'intorno.
32 And Salomon spake three thousand prouerbs: and his songs were a thousand and fiue.
Ed egli pronunziò tremila sentenze; ed i suoi cantici furono in numero di mille e cinque.
33 And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon, euen vnto the hyssope that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of foules, and of creeping thinges, and of fishes.
Parlò eziandio degli alberi, dal cedro ch'[è] nel Libano, fino all'isopo che nasce nella parete; parlò anche delle bestie, e degli uccelli, e de' rettili, e de' pesci.
34 And there came of all people to heare the wisedome of Salomon, from all Kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisedome.
E da tutti i popoli, da parte di tutti i re della terra, che aveano udito [parlare] della sapienza di Salomone, si veniva per udire la sua sapienza.
