< 1 Kings 3 >

1 Salomon then made affinitie with Pharaoh King of Egypt, and tooke Pharaohs daughter, and brought her into the citie of Dauid, vntill hee had made an ende of buylding his owne house, and the house of the Lord, and the wall of Ierusalem round about.
Nanao filongoañe am-panambaliañe amy Parò mpanjaka’ i Mitsraime t’i Selomò, ie nañenga ty anak’ampela’ i Parò, vaho nendese’e an-drova’ i Davide ampara’ te nifonitse ty anjomba nandranjia’e naho ty anjomba’ Iehovà naho ty kijoli’ Ierosalaime nañarikatoke aze.
2 Only the people sacrificed in the hie places, because there was no house buylt vnto the name of the Lord, vntill those dayes.
Nanao soroñe ankaboañe eñe ondatio, amy t’ie tsy aman’ anjomba rinafitse ho amy tahina’ Iehovày tañ’andro izay.
3 And Salomon loued the Lord, walking in the ordinances of Dauid his father: onely he sacrificed and offred incense in the hie places.
Nikokoa’ i Selomò t’Iehovà naho nañavelo amo fañèn-drae’eo; f’ie nanao soroñe an-kaboañe eo.
4 And the King went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the chiefe hie place: a thousand burnt offrings did Salomon offer vpon that altar.
Nimb’e Gibone añe i mpanjakay hisoroñe amy te izay ty haboañe bey; soroñe arivo ty nengae’ i Selomò amy kitrely zay.
5 In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Salomon in a dreame by night: and God sayd, Aske what I shall giue thee.
Ie te Gibone añe, le nisodehañe amy Selomò haleñe ami’ty nofy t’Iehovà; le hoe t’i Andrianañahare: Mihalalia, Ino ty hatoloko azo?
6 And Salomon sayd, Thou hast shewed vnto thy seruant Dauid my father great mercie, when hee walked before thee in trueth, and in righteousnesse, and in vprightnes of heart with thee: and thou hast kept for him this great mercie, and hast giuen him a sonne, to sit on his throne, as appeareth this day.
Le hoe t’i Selomò: Fañisoham-bey ty natolo’o amy Davide raeko mpitoro’o, ie nañavelo añatrefa’o an-katò naho an-kavantañañe, naho an-kavañonan’ arofo vaho nahaja’o ho aze o fatarihañe ra’elahy zao te tinolo’o anake hiambesatse amy fiambesa’ey manahake henanekeo.
7 And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy seruant King in steade of Dauid my father: and I am but a yong childe, and know not howe to go out and in.
Ie henane zao, ry Iehovà Andrianañahareko, fa nanoe’o mpanjaka handimbe i Davide raeko ty mpitoro’o; izaho mbe anak’ ajaja, tsy mahay miakatse ndra mimoake.
8 And thy seruant is in the mids of thy people, which thou hast chosen, euen a great people which cannot be told nor nobred for multitude.
Le añivo’ ondati’o jinobo’oo ty mpitoro’o, ondaty mitozantozañe tsy lefe iaheñe ami’ty havasiaña’e.
9 Giue therefore vnto thy seruant an vnderstanding heart, to iudge thy people, that I may discerne betweene good and bad: for who is able to iudge this thy mightie people?
Aa le toloro troke mahilala ty mpitoro’o hahafizaka’e ondati’oo, hahafitsakorea’e añivo’ ty soa naho ty raty; fa ia ty hahafizaka ondati’o ra’elahy retoañe?
10 And this pleased the Lord well, that Salomon had desired this thing.
Nisoa ampihaino’ i Talè, i nihalalia’ i Selomòy.
11 And God sayde vnto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thy selfe long life, neyther hast asked riches for thy selfe, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies, but hast asked for thy selfe vnderstanding to heare iudgement,
Le hoe t’i Andrianañahare ama’e: Kanao izay ty nihalalia’o, naho tsy hinalali’o ho azo ty halava-haveloñe, tsy hinalali’o ho azo ty vara-bey, tsy hinalali’o ty fiain-drafelahi’o; fe nihalalie’o ty fahafohinañe hahatsikaritse ty hatò.
12 Beholde, I haue done according to thy wordes: lo, I haue giuen thee a wise and an vnderstanding heart, so that there hath bene none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall arise the like vnto thee.
Inao, nanoeko i sinaontsi’oy: ingo te nitolorako arofo mahihitse naho mahilala; kanao tsy eo ty nanahak’ azo taolo’o, naho tsy ho amam-panonjohy hitroatse hañirinkiriñe azo;
13 And I haue also giuen thee that, which thou hast not asked, both riches and honour, so that among the Kings there shall be none like vnto thee all thy dayes.
vaho natoloko azo ka o tsy nihalalie’oo, ty vara naho ty asiñe, soa tsy eo ty mpanjaka hanahak’ azo amo hene andro’oo.
14 And if thou wilt walke in my wayes, to keepe mine ordinances and my commandements, as thy father Dauid did walke, I will prolong thy dayes.
Aa naho añaveloa’o o lalakoo, hañambeñe o fañèkoo naho o lilikoo, manahake ty fañaveloan-drae’o Davide, le halavaeko o andro’oo.
15 And when Salomon awoke, behold, it was a dreame, and he came to Ierusalem, and stoode before the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, and offred burnt offrings and made peace offrings, and made a feast to all his seruants.
Nivañoñe amy zao t’i Selomò le naheo’e t’ie nofy; nomb’e Ierosalaime mb’eo re, nijohañe añatrefa’ i vatam-pañina’ i Talèy eo le nañenga soroñe naho engam-panintsiñañe, vaho nanoa’e sabadidake o mpitoro’e iabio.
16 Then came two harlots vnto the King, and stoode before him.
Niheo mb’amy mpanjakay amy zao ty karapilo roe, nijohañe añatrefa’e eo
17 And the one woman sayd, Oh my lorde, I and this woman dwell in one house, and I was deliuered of a childe with her in the house.
le hoe ty rakemba raike: O ry talèko, mitrao-pimoneñe an-kibohotse ami’ty rakemba tiañe iraho; vaho nahatoly ajaja t’ie an-traño ao.
18 And the third day after that I was deliuered, this woman was deliuered also: and we were in the house together: no stranger was with vs in the house, saue we twaine.
Aa ie amy andro fahatelo’ i niterahakoiy le nahatoly ka o rakembao, vaho niharo ao zahay; tsy aman’ ambahiny i kibohotsey naho tsy zahay roe avao ty an-traño ao.
19 And this womans sonne died in the night: for she ouerlay him.
Nisimba haleñe ty ana’ i rakembay, amy te nandrea’e.
20 And she rose at midnight, and tooke my sonne from my side, while thine handmaide slept, and layde him in her bosome, and layde her dead sonne in my bosome.
Nitroatse amy haleñey re nandrambe i anadahiko marine ahiy, ie niroro ty anak’ ampata’o, le nampandre’e añ’ araña’e; vaho napo’e añ’ arañako eo i ana’e niopoy.
21 And when I rose in the morning to giue my sonne sucke, beholde, he was dead: and when I had well considered him in the morning, beholde, it was not my sonne, whom I had borne.
Aa izaho nañente te maraindray hampinono i anakoy, hehe te mate; f’ie nibiribirieko amy maraiñey; hete! tsy i ana-dahy naterakoy toke.
22 Then the other woman sayd, Nay, but my sonne liueth, and thy sonne is dead. Againe she sayde, No, but thy sonne is dead, and mine aliue: thus they spake before the King.
Le hoe ka i rakemba raikey: Aiy! i veloñey ro anako, vaho simba i azoy; Fa hoe ka ty asa’ itiañe: Tsie fa toe ana’o i nisimbay, vaho veloñe i anadahiko. Izay ty enta’ iareo añ’ atrefa’ i mpanjakay.
23 Then sayde the King, She sayth, This that liueth is my sonne, and the dead is thy sonne: and the other sayth, Nay, but the dead is thy sonne, and the liuing is my sonne.
Le hoe i mpanjakay: Hoe ty asa’ ty raike: Anadahiko ty veloñe toy, naho mate i ana-dahi’oy; hoe ka i raikey: Aiy! fa i ana’oy ty mate vaho veloñe i anadahikoy.
24 Then the King said, Bring me a sworde: and they brought out a sworde before the King.
Le hoe i mpanjakay: Angalao fibara, le nindesa’ iareo fibara i mpanjakay.
25 And the King sayde, Deuide ye the liuing child in twaine, and giue the one halfe to the one, and the other halfe to the other.
Le hoe i mpanjakay: Tampaho roe i ajaja veloñey, le atoloro amy raikey ty vaki’e naho amy ila’ey ty vaki’e.
26 Then spake the woman, whose the liuing child was, vnto the King, for her compassion was kindled toward her sonne, and she sayde, Oh my lorde, giue her the liuing childe, and slay him not: but the other sayde, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but deuide it.
fe nitoreo amy mpanjakay i rakemba rene’ i ajaja veloñeiy, ie niferenaiñan-tro’e i ana-dahi’ey, ami’ty hoe: O talèko, atoloro aze i ajaja veloñey, ehe tsy vonoeñe, Fa hoe ka i raikey, Tsy ho ahy tsy ho azo; salàho!
27 Then the King answered, and sayde, Giue her the liuing childe, and slay him not: this is his mother.
Aa le hoe ty navale’ i mpanjakay: Atoloro aze i ajaja veloñey le ko vonoeñe! ie ty rene’e.
28 And all Israel heard the iudgement, which the King had iudged, and they feared the King: for they sawe that the wisedome of God was in him to doe iustice.
Jinanji’ Israele iaby i zaka tinaro’ i mpanjakaiy; vaho nañeveñe amy mpanjakay, amy te nioni’ iareo te ama’e ty hihin’ Añahare hahahenefa’e zaka.
