1 Kings 22
1 And they continued three yeere without warre betweene Aram and Israel.
Und es kamen drei Jahre um, daß kein Krieg war zwischen den Syrern und Israel.
2 And in the third yeere did Iehoshaphat the King of Iudah come downe to ye King of Israel.
Im dritten Jahr aber zog Josaphat, der König Judas, hinab zum Könige Israels.
3 (Then the King of Israel saide vnto his seruants, Knowe yee not that Ramoth Gilead was ours? and wee stay, and take it not out of ye hand of the King of Aram?)
Und der König Israels sprach zu seinen Knechten: Wisset ihr nicht, daß Ramoth in Gilead unser ist; und wir sitzen stille und nehmen sie nicht von der Hand des Königs zu Syrien?
4 And he sayde vnto Iehoshaphat, Wilt thou goe with mee to battel against Ramoth Gilead? And Iehoshaphat saide vnto the King of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, and mine horses as thine horses.
Und sprach zu Josaphat: Willst du mit mir ziehen in den Streit gen Ramoth in Gilead? Josaphat sprach zum Könige Israels: Ich will sein wie du und mein Volk wie dein Volk und meine Rosse wie deine Rosse.
5 Then Iehoshaphat saide vnto the King of Israel, Aske counsaile, I pray thee, of the Lord to day.
Und Josaphat sprach zum Könige Israels: Frage doch heute um das Wort des HERRN.
6 Then the King of Israel gathered the prophets vpon a foure hundreth men, and said vnto them, Shal I go against Ramoth Gilead to battel, or shall I let it alone? And they said, Go vp: for ye Lord shall deliuer it into the hands of the King.
Da sammelte der König Israels Propheten bei vierhundert Mann und sprach zu ihnen: Soll ich gen Ramoth in Gilead ziehen zu streiten, oder soll ich's lassen anstehen? Sie sprachen: Zeuch hinauf, der HERR wird's in die Hand des Königs geben.
7 And Iehoshaphat said, Is there here neuer a Prophet of the Lord more, that we might inquire of him?
Josaphat aber sprach: Ist hie kein Prophet mehr des HERRN, daß wir von ihm fragen?
8 And the King of Israel said vnto Iehoshaphat, There is yet one man (Michaiah the sonne of Imlah) by whom we may aske counsel of the Lord, but I hate him: for he doeth not prophecie good vnto me, but euill. And Iehoshaphat sayd, Let not the King say so.
Der König Israels sprach zu Josaphat: Es ist noch ein Mann, Micha, der Sohn Jemlas, von dem man den HERRN fragen mag. Aber ich bin ihm gram; denn er weissaget mir kein Gutes, sondern eitel Böses. Josaphat sprach: Der König rede nicht also!
9 Then the King of Israel called an Eunuche, and sayde, Call quickely Michaiah the sonne of Imlah.
Da rief der König Israels einem Kämmerer und sprach: Bringe eilend her Micha, den Sohn Jemlas!
10 And the King of Israel and Iehoshaphat the King of Iudah sate either of them on his throne in their apparell in the voyde place at the entring in of the gate of Samaria, and all the prophets prophecied before them.
Der König aber Israels und Josaphat, der König Judas, saßen ein jeglicher auf seinem Stuhl, angezogen mit Kleidern, auf dem Platz vor der Tür am Tor Samarias; und alle Propheten weissagten vor ihnen.
11 And Zidkiiah the sonne of Chenaanah made him hornes of yron, and sayd, Thus sayth the Lord, With these shalt thou push the Aramites, vntill thou hast consumed them.
Und Zedekia, der Sohn Knaenas, hatte ihm eiserne Hörner gemacht und sprach: So spricht der HERR: Hiemit wirst du die Syrer stoßen, bis du sie aufräumest.
12 And all the prophets prophecied so, saying, Goe vp to Ramoth Gilead, and prosper: for the Lord shall deliuer it into the Kings hand.
Und alle Propheten weissagten also und sprachen: Zeuch hinauf gen Ramoth in Gilead und fahre glückselig; der HERR wird's in die Hand des Königs geben.
13 And the messenger that was gone to call Michaiah spake vnto him, saying, Beholde now, the wordes of the prophets declare good vnto the King with one accorde: let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like the worde of one of them, and speake thou good.
Und der Bote, der hingegangen war, Micha zu rufen, sprach zu ihm: Siehe, der Propheten Reden sind einträchtiglich gut für den König; so laß nun dein Wort auch sein wie das Wort derselben und rede Gutes!
14 And Michaiah saide, As the Lord liueth, whatsoeuer the Lord sayth vnto me, that will I speake.
Micha sprach: So wahr der HERR lebet, ich will reden, was der HERR mir sagen wird.
15 So he came to the King, and the King said vnto him, Michaiah, shall we go against Ramoth Gilead to battel, or shall we leaue off? And he answered him, Goe vp, and prosper: and the Lord shall deliuer it into the hand of the King.
Und da er zum Könige kam, sprach der König zu ihm: Micha, sollen wir gen Ramoth in Gilead ziehen zu streiten, oder sollen wir's lassen anstehen? Er sprach zu ihm: Ja, zeuch hinauf und fahre glückselig; der HERR wird's in die Hand des Königs geben.
16 And the King said vnto him, How oft shall I charge thee, that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the Name of the Lord?
Der König sprach abermal zu ihm: Ich beschwöre dich, daß du mir nicht anders sagest denn die Wahrheit im Namen des HERRN.
17 Then he said, I sawe all Israel scattered vpon the mountaines, as sheepe that had no shepheard. And the Lord sayde, These haue no master, let euery man returne vnto his house in peace.
Er sprach: Ich sah ganz Israel zerstreuet auf den Bergen wie die Schafe, die keinen Hirten haben. Und der HERR sprach: Haben diese keinen HERRN? Ein jeglicher kehre wieder heim mit Frieden!
18 (And the King of Israel saide vnto Iehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee, that he would prophecie no good vnto me, but euill?)
Da sprach der König Israels zu Josaphat: Habe ich dir nicht gesagt, daß er mir nichts Gutes weissaget, sondern eitel Böses?
19 Againe he said, Heare thou therefore the worde of the Lord. I sawe the Lord sit on his throne, and all the hoste of heauen stood about him on his right hand and on his left hand.
Er sprach: Darum höre nun das Wort des HERRN. Ich sah den HERRN sitzen auf seinem Stuhl und alles himmlische Heer neben ihm stehen zu seiner Rechten und Linken.
20 And the Lord sayd, Who shall entise Ahab that he may go and fall at Ramoth Gilead? And one said on this maner, and another sayd on that maner.
Und der HERR sprach: Wer will Ahab überreden, daß er hinaufziehe und falle zu Ramoth in Gilead? Und einer sagte dies, der andere das.
21 Then there came forth a spirit, and stoode before the Lord, and sayd, I wil entise him. And the Lord sayd vnto him, Wherewith?
Da ging ein Geist heraus und trat vor den HERRN und sprach: Ich will ihn überreden. Der HERR sprach zu ihm: Womit?
22 And he sayd, I will goe out, and be a false spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. Then he sayd, Thou shalt entise him, and shalt also preuayle: goe forth, and doe so.
Er sprach: Ich will ausgehen und will ein falscher Geist sein in aller seiner Propheten Munde. Er sprach: Du sollst ihn überreden und sollst es ausrichten; gehe aus und tue also!
23 Now therefore behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirite in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath appoynted euill against thee.
Nun siehe, der HERR hat einen falschen Geist gegeben in aller dieser deiner Propheten Mund; und der HERR hat Böses über dich geredet.
24 Then Zidkiiah the sonne of Chenaanah came neere, and smote Michaiah on the cheeke and sayd, When went the Spirite of the Lord from me, to speake vnto thee?
Da trat herzu Zedekia, der Sohn Knaenas, und schlug Micha auf den Backen und sprach: Wie? Ist der Geist des HERRN von mir gewichen, daß er mit dir redet?
25 And Michaiah saide, Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt goe from chamber to chamber to hide thee.
Micha sprach: Siehe, du wirst's sehen an dem Tage, wenn du von einer Kammer in die andere gehen wirst, daß du dich verkriechest.
26 And the King of Israel sayd, Take Michaiah, and cary him vnto Amon the gouernour of the citie, and vnto Ioash the Kings sonne,
Der König Israels sprach: Nimm Micha und laß ihn bleiben bei Amon, dem Bürgermeister, und bei Joas, dem Sohn des Königs,
27 And say, Thus saith the King, Put this man in the prison house, and feede him with bread of affliction, and with water of affliction, vntill I returne in peace.
und sprich: So spricht der König: Diesen setzet ein in den Kerker und speiset ihn mit Brot und Wasser der Trübsal, bis ich mit Frieden wiederkomme.
28 And Michaiah sayde, If thou returne in peace, the Lord hath not spoken by me. And he sayd, Hearken all ye people.
Micha sprach: Kommst du mit Frieden wieder, so hat der HERR nicht durch mich geredet. Und sprach: Höret zu, alles Volk!
29 So the King of Israel and Iehoshaphat the King of Iudah went vp to Ramoth Gilead.
Also zog der König Israels und Josaphat, der König Judas, hinauf gen Ramoth in Gilead.
30 And the King of Israel sayde to Iehoshaphat, I will change mine apparell, and will enter into the battell, but put thou on thine apparell. And the King of Israel changed himselfe, and went into the battel.
Und der König Israels sprach zu Josaphat: Verstelle dich und komm in den Streit mit deinen Kleidern angetan. Der König Israels aber verstellete sich auch und zog in den Streit.
31 And the King of Aram commanded his two and thirtie captaines ouer his charets, saying, Fight neither with small, nor great, saue onely against the King of Israel.
Aber der König zu Syrien gebot den Obersten über seine Wagen, der waren zweiunddreißig, und sprach: Ihr sollt nicht streiten wider Kleine noch Große, sondern wider den König Israels allein.
32 And when the captaines of the charets saw Iehoshaphat, they sayd, Surely it is the King of Israel, and they turned to fight against him: and Iehoshaphat cryed.
Und da die Obersten der Wagen Josaphat sahen, meineten sie, er wäre der König Israels, und fielen auf ihn mit Streiten; aber Josaphat schrie.
33 And when the captaines of the charets saw that he was not the King of Israel, they turned backe from him.
Da aber die Obersten der Wagen sahen, daß er nicht der König Israels war, wandten sie sich hinten von ihm.
34 Then a certaine man drewe a bow mightily and smote the King of Israel betweene the ioyntes of his brigandine. Wherefore he sayde vnto his charet man, Turne thine hand and cary me out of the hoste: for I am hurt.
Ein Mann aber spannete den Bogen ohngefähr und schoß den König Israels zwischen den Panzer und Hengel. Und er sprach zu seinem Fuhrmann: Wende deine Hand und führe mich aus dem Heer, denn ich bin wund.
35 And the battel encreased that day, and the King stoode still in his charet against the Aramites, and dyed at euen: and the blood ran out of the wound into the middes of the charet.
Und der Streit nahm überhand desselben Tages; und der König stund auf dem Wagen gegen die Syrer und starb des Abends. Und das Blut floß von den Wunden mitten in den Wagen.
36 And there went a proclamation thorowout the hoste about the going downe of the sunne, saying, Euery man to his citie, and euery man to his owne countrey.
Und man ließ ausrufen im Heer, da die Sonne unterging, und sagen: Ein jeglicher gehe in seine Stadt und in sein Land!
37 So the King died, and was brought to Samaria, and they buried the King in Samaria.
Also starb der König und ward gen Samaria gebracht. Und sie begruben ihn zu Samaria.
38 And one washed the charet in the poole of Samaria, and the dogs licked vp his blood (and they washed his armour) according vnto the word of the Lord which he spake.
Und da sie den Wagen wuschen bei dem Teiche Samarias, leckten die Hunde sein Blut (es wuschen ihn aber die Huren) nach dem Wort des HERRN, das er geredet hatte.
39 Concerning the rest of the actes of Ahab and all that he did, and the yuorie house which he built, and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
Was mehr von Ahab zu sagen ist, und alles, was er getan hat, und das elfenbeinerne Haus, das er bauete, und alle Städte, die er gebauet hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Israels.
40 So Ahab slept with his fathers, and Ahaziah his sonne reigned in his stead.
Also entschlief Ahab mit seinen Vätern; und sein Sohn Ahasja ward König an seiner Statt.
41 And Iehoshaphat the sonne of Asa began to reigne vpon Iudah in the fourth yeere of Ahab King of Israel.
Und Josaphat, der Sohn Assas, ward König über Juda im vierten Jahr Ahabs, des Königs Israels.
42 Iehoshaphat was fiue and thirty yere olde, when he began to reigne, and reigned fiue and twentie yeere in Ierusalem. And his mothers name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.
Und war fünfunddreißig Jahre alt, da er König ward, und regierte fünfundzwanzig Jahre zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Asuba, eine Tochter Silhis.
43 And he walked in all the wayes of Asa his father, and declined not therefrom, but did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord. Neuerthelesse the hie places were not taken away: for the people offred still and burnt incense in the hie places.
Und wandelte in allem Wege seines Vaters Assa und wich nicht davon; und er tat, das dem HERRN wohlgefiel. Doch tat er die Höhen nicht weg, und das Volk opferte und räucherte noch auf den Höhen.
44 And Iehoshaphat made peace with the King of Israel.
Und hatte Frieden mit dem Könige Israels.
45 Concerning the rest of the actes of Iehoshaphat, and his worthy deedes that he did, and his battels which he fought, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?
Was aber mehr von Josaphat zu sagen ist, und die Macht, was er getan, und wie er gestritten hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Judas.
46 And the Sodomites, which remayned in the dayes of his father Asa, he put cleane out of the land.
Auch tat er aus dem Lande, was noch übriger Hurer waren, die zu der Zeit seines Vaters Assa waren überblieben.
47 There was then no King in Edom: the deputie was King.
Und es war kein König in Edom.
48 Iehoshaphat made shippes of Tharshish to sayle to Ophir for golde, but they went not, for the shippes were broken at Ezion Gaber.
Und Josaphat hatte Schiffe lassen machen aufs Meer, die in Ophir gehen sollten, Gold zu holen. Aber sie gingen nicht; denn sie wurden zerbrochen zu Ezeon-Geber.
49 Then sayde Ahaziah the sonne of Ahab vnto Iehoshaphat, Let my seruants goe with thy seruants in the ships, But Iehoshaphat would not.
Dazumal sprach Ahasja, der Sohn Ahabs, zu Josaphat: Laß meine Knechte mit deinen Knechten in Schiffen fahren. Josaphat aber wollte nicht.
50 And Iehoshaphat did sleepe with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the citie of Dauid his father, and Iehoram his sonne reigned in his stead.
Und Josaphat entschlief mit seinen Vätern und ward begraben mit seinen Vätern in der Stadt Davids, seines Vaters; und Joram, sein Sohn, ward König an seiner Statt.
51 Ahaziah the sonne of Ahab began to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, the seuenteenth yeere of Iehoshaphat King of Iudah, and reigned two yeeres ouer Israel.
Ahasja, der Sohn Ahabs, ward König über Israel zu Samaria im siebenzehnten Jahr Josaphats, des Königs Judas, und regierte über Israel zwei Jahre.
52 But he did euill in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.
Und tat, das dem HERRN übel gefiel, und wandelte in dem Wege seines Vaters und seiner Mutter und in dem Wege Jerobeams, des Sohns Nebats, der Israel sündigen machte.
53 For he serued Baal and worshipped him, and prouoked the Lord God of Israel vnto wrath, according vnto all that his father had done.
