< 1 Kings 20 >
1 Then Ben-hadad the King of Aram assembled all his armie, and two and thirtie Kings with him, with horses, and charets, and went vp and besieged Samaria, and fought against it.
Inummong ni Ben Hadad nga ari ti Aram iti amin nga armadana; adda tallopulo ket dua a basbassit ti iturturayanna nga ar-ari a kaduana, ken dagiti kabalio ken karwahe. Napan isuna, pinalawlawanda ti Samaria, ket nakirangetda.
2 And he sent messengers to Ahab King of Israel, into the citie,
Nangibaon isuna kadagiti mensahero a mapan iti siudad kenni Ahab nga ari ti Israel, ket kinunada kenkuana, “Pinaibaga ni Ben Hadad daytoy:
3 And sayd vnto him, Thus sayth Ben-hadad, Thy siluer and thy golde is mine: also thy women, and thy fayre children are mine.
'Kukuak ti pirak ken balitokmo. Kasta met dagiti assawa ken annakmo, dagiti kasasayaatan, ket kukuak itan.'”
4 And the King of Israel answered, and sayd, My lord King, according to thy saying, I am thine, and all that I haue.
Insungbat ti ari ti Israel ket kinunana, “Matungpal ti imbagam, amok, nga ari. Siak ken amin nga adda kaniak ket kukuam.”
5 And when the messengers came againe, they said, Thus commandeth Ben-hadad, and saith, When I shall send vnto thee, and command, thou shalt deliuer me thy siluer and thy golde, and thy women, and thy children,
Immay manen dagiti mensahero ket kinunada, “Pinaibaga ni Ben Hadad daytoy, 'Nangipatulodak kenka iti sao a mangibagbaga a nasken nga iyawatmo kaniak ti pirakmo, ti balitokmo, dagiti assawam, ken dagiti annakmo.
6 Or els I will sende my seruants vnto thee by to morow this time: and they shall search thine house, and the houses of thy seruants: and whatsoeuer is pleasant in thine eyes, they shall take it in their handes, and bring it away.
Ngem ibaonkonto kenka dagiti adipenko inton bigat iti kastoy met laeng nga oras, ket sukimatendanto ti balaymo ken dagiti balay dagiti adipenmo. Alaen ken ipanawdanto ti aniaman a makaay-ayo iti imatangda.”'
7 Then the King of Israel sent for all the Elders of the land, and sayd, Take heede, I pray you, and see how he seeketh mischiefe: for he sent vnto me for my wiues, and for my children, and for my siluer, and for my golde, and I denyed him not.
Ket pinaayaban ti ari ti Israel dagiti amin a panglakayen ti daga ket kinunana, ““Pangngaasiyo ta tandaanan ken kitaenyo no kasano nga agbirbirok iti riribuk daytoy a tao. Nangipatulod isuna iti sao kaniak tapno alaenna dagiti assawak, dagiti annakko, ken ti pirak, ken balitok, ket saanak a nagkedked kenkuana.”
8 And all the Elders, and all the people sayd to him, Hearken not vnto him, nor consent.
Kinuna dagiti amin a panglakayen ken dagiti amin a tattao kenni Ahab, “Saanka a dumngeg kenkuana wenno patgan ti dawdawatenna.
9 Wherefore hee sayde vnto the messengers of Ben-hadad, Tell my lorde the King, All that thou didddest sende for to thy seruant at the first time, that I will doe, but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and brought him an answere.
Kinuna ngarud ni Ahab kadagiti mensahero ni Ben Hadad, “Ibagayo iti amok nga ari, 'Umanamongak iti amin nga immuna nga impaibagam iti adipenmo nga aramiden, ngem saanko a mapatgan daytoy maikadua a kiddawmo.”' Pimmanaw ngarud dagiti mensahero ket indanonda daytoy a sungbat kenni Ben Hadad.
10 And Ben-hadad sent vnto him, and sayde, The gods do so to me and more also, if the dust of Samaria be ynough to all the people that follow me, for euery man an handfull.
Ket impatulod ni Ben Hadad kadagiti mensaherona ti sungbatna kenni Ahab, ket kinunana, “Patayendak koma dagiti dios ken ad-adda pay iti dakes nga aramidenda kaniak, no uray dagiti dapo iti Samaria ket umanayto a rakemen dagiti tattao a sumursurot kaniak.”
11 And the King of Israel answered, and sayd, Tell him, Let not him that girdeth his harneis, boast himselfe, as he that putteth it off.
Insungbat ti ari ti Israel ket kinunana, “Ibagam kenni Ben Hadad, 'Awan ti siasinoman nga agpangas a mangisusuot pay laeng iti kabalna a kasla us-usubennan daytoy.'”
12 And when he heard that tidings, as he was with the Kings drinking in the pauilions, he sayd vnto his seruants, Bring forth your engines, and they set them against the citie.
Nagsaganada ngarud a makigubat tapno rautenda ti siudad.
13 And beholde, there came a Prophet vnto Ahab King of Israel, saying, Thus sayeth the Lord, Hast thou seene all this great multitude? beholde, I will deliuer it into thine hande this day, that thou mayest knowe, that I am the Lord.
Ket adtoy, immay ti maysa a profeta kenni Ahab nga ari ti Israel ket kinunana. “Ibagbaga ni Yahweh, 'Makitam kadi daytoy nabileg nga armada? Kitaem, iyawatko kenka ita nga aldaw, ket maammoamto a siak ni Yahweh.”'
14 And Ahab sayd, By whome? And he sayde, Thus sayth the Lord, By the seruants of the princes of the prouinces. He sayde againe, Who shall order the battel? And he answered, Thou.
Insungbat ni Ahab, “Siasino ti mangparmek?” Insungbat ni Yahweh ket kinunana, “Babaen kadagiti agtutubo nga opisial nga agserserbi kadagiti gobernador dagiti distrito.” Ket kinuna ni Ahab, “Siasino ti mangirugi iti gubat?” Simmungbat ni Yahweh, “Sika.”
15 Then he nombred the seruantes of the princes of the prouinces, and they were two hundreth, two and thirtie: and after them he nombred the whole people of all the children of Israel, euen seuen thousand.
Ket inummong ni Ahab dagiti agtutubo nga opisial nga agserserbi kadagiti gobernador dagiti distrito. Dua gasut ken tallopulo ket dua ti bilangda. Kalpasanda, inummongna met amin a soldado, amin ti armada ti Israel, pito ribu amin ti bilangda.
16 And they went out at noone: but Ben-hadad did drinke till he was drunken in the tentes, both he and the Kings: for two and thirtie Kings helped him.
Rimmuarda iti katengngaan ti aldaw. Madama nga agbarbartek ni Ben Hadad iti toldana, kaduana dagiti tallopulo ket dua a basbassit ti iturturayanna nga ar-ari a mangtultulong kenkuana.
17 So the seruants of the princes of the prouinces went out first: and Ben-hadad sent out, and they shewed him, saying, There are men come out of Samaria.
Immuna a napan dagiti agtutubo nga opisial nga agserserbi kadagiti gobernador dagiti distrito. Ket napakaammoan ni Ben Hadad babaen kadagiti agsawsawar nga imbaonna, “Um-umay dagiti lallaki a naggapu iti Samaria.”
18 And he sayde, Whether they be come out for peace, take them aliue: or whether they bee come out to fight, take them yet aliue.
Kinuna ni Ben Hadad, “Tiliwenyo ida a sibibiag uray no umayda a makikapia wenno makigubat.”
19 So they came out of the citie, to wit, the seruants of the princes of the prouinces, and the hoste which followed them.
Rimmuar ngarud iti siudad dagiti agtutubo nga opisial nga agserserbi kadagiti gobernador dagiti distrito, ket sinurot ida ti armada.
20 And they slew euery one his enemie: and the Aramites fled, and Israel pursued them: but Ben-hadad ye King of Aram escaped on an horse with his horsemen.
Pinatay ti tunggal maysa ti kabusorna, ket naglibas dagiti taga-Aram; kinamat ida ti Israel. Nagkabalio a naglibas ni Ben Hadad nga ari ti Aram a kaduana dagiti sumagmamano a nakakabalio.
21 And the King of Israel went out, and smote the horses and charets, and with a great slaughter slew he the Aramites.
Ket rimmuar ti ari ti Israel ken dinarupna dagiti nakakabalio ken nakakarwahe, ket adu ti pinapatayna a taga- Aram.
22 (For there had come a Prophet to the King of Israel, and had sayd vnto him, Goe, be of good courage, and consider, and take heede what thou doest: for when the yeere is gone about, the King of Aram wil come vp against thee)
Isu nga immay ti maysa a profeta iti ari ti Israel ket kinunana kenkuana, “Mapanka, papigsaem ti bagim, ket adalem ken planoem ti aramidem, gapu ta iti sumaruno a tawen agsubli manen ti ari ti Aram a bumusor kenka.”
23 Then the seruants of the King of Aram said vnto him, Their gods are gods of the moutaines, and therefore they ouercame vs: but let vs fight against them in the playne, and doubtlesse we shall ouercome them.
Kinuna kenkuana dagiti adipen ti ari ti Aram, “Ti diosda ket dios ti katurturodan. Isu a napigpigsada ngem datayo. Ngem ita makirangettayo kadakuada iti patad, ket awan dua dua a sadiay, napigpigsatayo ngem isuda.
24 And this doe, Take the Kings away, euery one out of his place, and place captaines for them.
Ket aramidem pay daytoy: ikkatem dagiti ari, tunggal maysa iti idadauloanna, ket sukatam ida kadagiti kapitan ti armada.
25 And nomber thy selfe an armie, like the armie that thou hast lost, with such horses, and such charets, and we wil fight against them in the plaine, and doubtlesse we shall ouercome them: and he hearkened vnto their voyce, and did so.
Mangbuangayka iti armada a kas iti armada a napukawmo, kabalio iti kabalio ken karwahe iti karwahe, ket makirangettayo kadakuada iti patad. Ket awan dua dua a napigpigsatayo ngem isuda.” Demngeg ngarud ni Ben Hadad iti balakadda ket inaramidna ti insingasingda.
26 And after the yeere was gone about, Ben-hadad nombred the Aramites, and went vp to Aphek to fight against Israel.
Iti sumaruno a tawen, inummong ni Ben Hadad dagiti taga-Aram ket napanda idiay Afek tapno makirangetda iti Israel.
27 And the children of Israel were nombred, and were all assembled and went against them, and the children of Israel pitched before them, like two litle flockes of kiddes: but the Aramites filled the countrey.
Nagu-ummong dagiti tattao ti Israel ket naipaay kadakuada dagiti banbanag a kasapulanda a makiranget kadagiti taga-Aram. Nagkampo dagiti tattao ti Israel iti sangoananda a kasla dua a babassit nga arban dagiti kalding, ngem pinunno dagiti taga-Aram ti away.
28 And there came a man of God, and spake vnto the King of Israel, saying, Thus sayeth the Lord, Because the Aramites haue sayd, The Lord is the God of the mountaines, and not God of the valleis, therefore will I deliuer all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
Ket immasideg ti maysa a tao ti Dios ket nakitungtong iti ari ti Israel a kunana, “Ibagbaga ni Yahweh: 'Gapu ta imbaga dagiti taga-Aram a ni Yahweh ket dios dagiti turod, ngem saan isuna a dios dagiti tanap, iyawatko daytoy nabileg nga armada kadagita imam, ket maammoamto a Siak ni Yahweh.”'
29 And they pitched one ouer against the other seuen dayes, and in the seuenth day the battel was ioyned: and the children of Israel slew of the Aramites an hundreth thousand footemen in one day.
Nagkampo ngarud a nagsinnango dagiti armada iti pito nga aldaw. Ket iti maikapito nga aldaw nangrugin ti gubat. Pinapatay dagiti tattao ti Israel ti sangagasut a ribu a soldado dagiti taga-Aram iti maysa laeng nga aldaw.
30 But the rest fled to Aphek into the citie: and there fel a wall vpon seuen and twentie thousand men that were left: and Ben-hadad fled into the citie, and came into a secret chamber.
Naglibas dagiti nabatbati idiay Afek, iti siudad, ket narba a naigabur ti pader kadagiti dua pulo ket pito a ribu a nabatbati a lallaki. Naglibas ni Ben Hadad ket napan iti siudad, iti akin uneg a siled.
31 And his seruants sayd vnto him, Beholde nowe, we haue heard say that the Kings of the house of Israel are mercifull Kings: we pray thee, let vs put sacke cloth about our loynes, and ropes about our heads, and goe out to the King of Israel: it may be that he will saue thy life.
Kinuna dagiti adipen ni Ben Hadad kenkuana, “Dumngegka, nangngegmi a dagiti ari iti balay ti Israel ket manangngaasi nga ar-ari. Pangngaasim ta palubosanakami a mangibidang iti nakirsang a lupot ken bedbedanmi iti tali ti ulomi, ket mapankami iti ari ti Israel. Barbareng no saannaka a papatayen.”
32 Then they gyrded sackecloth about their loynes, and put ropes about their heads, and came to the King of Israel, and sayd, Thy seruant Ben-hadad sayth, I pray thee, let me liue: and he sayd, Is he yet aliue? he is my brother.
Nangibidangda ngarud iti nakirsang a lupot ken binedbedanda ti uloda iti tali ket napanda iti ari ti Israel ket kinunada, “Imbaga ti adipenmo a ni Ben Hadad, 'Pangngaasim ta palubusannak nga agbiag.”' Kinuna ni Ahab, “Sibibiag pay kadi isuna? Kabsatko isuna.”
33 Now the men tooke diliget heede, if they could catch any thing of him, and made haste, and sayd, Thy brother Ben-hadad. And he sayd, Go, bring him. So Ben-hadad came out vnto him, and he caused him to come vp vnto the chariot.
Ita dumdumngeg dagiti lallaki iti aniaman a pagilasinan manipud kenni Ahab, isu nga insungbatda a dagus kenkuana, “Wen, sibibiag ti kabsatmo a ni Ben Hadad.” Ket kinuna ni Ahab, “Mapankayo ket iyegyo isuna.” Ket napan ni Ben Hadad kenkuana, ket pinaglugan isuna ni Ahab iti karwahena.
34 And Ben-hadad sayd vnto him, The cities, which my father tooke from thy father, I wil restore, and thou shalt make streetes for thee in Damascus, as my father did in Samaria. Then said Ahab, I will let thee goe with this couenant. So he made a couenant with him, and let him goe.
Kinuna ni Ben Hadad kenni Ahab, “Isublik kenka dagiti siudad nga inagaw ti amak iti amam, ket mabalinmo iti aglako idiay Damasco, a kas iti inaramid ti amak idiay Samaria. Insungbat ni Ahab, “Palubosanka babaen iti daytoy a katulagan.” Nakitulag ngarud ni Ahab kenkuana ket kalpasanna pinalubosanna isuna a mapan.
35 Then a certaine man of the children of the Prophets sayd vnto his neighbour by the comandement of the Lord, Smite me, I pray thee. But the man refused to smite him.
Adda maysa a lalaki, maysa kadagiti annak a lallaki dagiti profeta, a kinunana iti padana a profeta babaen iti sao ni Yahweh, “Pangngaasim ta kabilennak.” Ngem nagkedked ti lalaki a mangkabil kenkuana.
36 Then sayd he vnto him, Because thou hast not obeyed the voyce of the Lord, beholde, as soone as thou art departed from me, a lyon shall slay thee. So when he was departed from him, a lyon found him and slew him.
Ket kinuna ti profeta iti padana a profeta, “Gapu ta saanka a nagtulnog iti timek ni Yahweh, apaman a panawannak, patayennakanto ti maysa a leon.” Ket apaman a pinanawan isuna dayta a tao, nasarakan isuna ti leon ket pinatay isuna ti leon.
37 Then he founde another man, and sayde, Smite mee, I pray thee. And the man smote him, and in smiting wounded him.
Ket nakasarak ti profeta iti sabali pay a tao ket kinunana, “Pangngaasim ta kabilennak.” Isu a kinabil isuna ti lalaki ket sinugatanna isuna.
38 So the Prophet departed, and wayted for the King by the way, and disguised himselfe with ashes vpon his face.
Ket pimmanaw ti profeta ket inurayna ti ari iti igid ti dalan; nanglimlimo isuna nga adda bedbed iti ngatoen dagiti matana.
39 And when the King came by, he cried vnto the King, and said, Thy seruant went into the middes of the battel: and beholde, there went away a man, whom another man brought vnto me, and sayd, Keepe this man: if he be lost, and want, thy life shall go for his life, or els thou shalt pay a talent of siluer.
Idi lumabasen ti ari, pinukkawan ti profeta ti ari ket kinunana, “Napan ti adipenmo iti kangitingitan ti gubat, ket nagsardeng iti maysa a soldado ket inyegna ti maysa a kabusor kaniak ket kinunana, 'Bantayam daytoy a tao. No mapukaw daytoy iti aniaman a wagas, ti biagmo ngarud ti kasukat ti biagna, wenno agmultaka iti maysa a talento ti pirak.'
40 And as thy seruant had here and there to do, he was gone: And the King of Israel said vnto him, So shall thy iudgement be: thou hast giuen sentence.
Ngem gapu ta adu ti pakakumikoman ti adipenmo, nakalibas ti kabusor a soldado.” Ket kinuna ti ari ti Israel kenkuana, “Daytoyto ti dusam-sika a mismo ti nangikeddeng iti daytoy.”
41 And hee hasted, and tooke the ashes away from his face: and the King of Israel knewe him that he was of the Prophets:
Inikkat a dagus ti profeta ti bedbed dagiti matana, ket nabigbig ti ari ti Israel nga isuna ket maysa kadagiti profeta.
42 And he said vnto him, Thus saith the Lord, Because thou hast let goe out of thine handes a man whom I appoynted to dye, thy life shall goe for his life, and thy people for his people.
Kinuna ti profeta iti ari, “Ibagbaga ni Yahweh, 'Gapu ta pinalubosam ti tao nga inkeddengko a matay, ti biagmo ti kasukat ti biagna, ken dagiti tattaom kadagiti tattaona.'”
43 And the King of Israel went to his house heauie and in displeasure, and came to Samaria.
Napan ngarud ti ari ti Israel iti balayna a nasakit ti nakemna ken makapungtot, ket nakasangpet idiay Samaria.
