1 Kings 16

1 Then the word of the Lord came to Iehu the sonne of Hanani against Baasha, saying,

Så kom Herrans ord till Jehu, Hanani son, emot Baesa, och sade:

2 Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee captaine ouer my people Israel, and thou hast walked in the way of Ieroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sinne, to prouoke me with their sinnes,

Derföre, att jag dig utu stoftet upphäfvit hafver, och gjort dig till en Första öfver mitt folk Israel, och du vandrar i Jerobeams väg, och kommer mitt folk Israel till att synda, så att du mig förtörnar genom deras synder;

3 Beholde, I will take away the posteritie of Baasha, and the posteritie of his house, and will make thine house like the house of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat.

Si, så vill jag borttaga Baesa efterkommande, och hans hus efterkommande, och vill sätta ditt hus såsom Jerobeams hus, Nebats sons.

4 He that dyeth of Baashas stocke in the citie, him shall the dogs eate: and that man of him which dyeth in the fieldes, shall the foules of the ayre eate.

Den af Baesa dör i staden, honom skola hundar uppäta; och den af honom dör på markene, honom skola himmelens foglar uppäta.

5 And the rest of the actes of Baasha and what he did, and his power, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?

Hvad nu mer om Baesa sägandes är, och hvad han gjort hafver, och hans magt, si, det är skrifvet uti Israels Konungars Chrönico.

6 So Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buryed in Tirzah, and Elah his sonne reigned in his steade.

Och Baesa afsomnade med sina fäder, och vardt begrafven i Thirza; och hans son Ela vardt Konung i hans stad.

7 And also by the hande of Iehu the sonne of Hanani the Prophet, came the worde of the Lord to Baasha, and to his house, that he shoulde be like the house of Ieroboam, euen for all the wickednes that he did in the sight of the Lord, in prouoking him with the worke of his hands, and because he killed him.

Och Herrans ord kom genom Propheten Jehu, Hanani son, öfver Baesa, och öfver hans hus, och emot allt det onda, som han för Herranom gjort hade, till att förtörna honom genom sina händers verk, att det skulle varda såsom Jerobeams hus, och derföre, att han denna slagit hade.

8 In the sixe and twentie yeere of Asa king of Iudah began Elah ye sonne of Baasha to reigne ouer Israel in Tirzah, and reigned two yeere.

Uti sjette och tjugonde årena Asa, Juda Konungs, vardt Ela, Baesa son, Konung öfver Israel i Thirza, i tu år.

9 And his seruant Zimri, captaine of halfe his charets, conspired against him, as he was in Tirzah drinking, til he was drunken in the house of Arza steward of his house in Tirzah.

Men hans tjenare Simri, en öfverste öfver hälften af vagnarna, gjorde ett förbund emot honom; men han var i Thirza, drack och var drucken i Arza hus, fogdans i Thirza.

10 And Zimri came and smote him and killed him, in the seuen and twentie yeere of Asa king of Iudah, and reigned in his stead.

Och Simri kom derin, och slog honom ihjäl, uti sjunde och tjugonde årena Asa, Juda Konungs; och blef Konung i hans stad.

11 And when he was King, and sate on his throne, he slew al the house of Baasha, not leauing thereof one to pisse against a wall, neither of his kinsfolkes nor of his friendes.

Och då han var Konung, och satt på sin stol, slog han hela Baesa hus, och lät intet qvart blifva, icke den som på väggena pissar; dertill hans fränder och vänner.

12 So did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasha, according to the word of the Lord which he spake against Baasha by the hande of Iehu the Prophet,

Alltså förgjorde Simri hela Baesa hus, efter Herrans ord, som han om Baesa talat hade, genom den Propheten Jehu;

13 For all the sinnes of Baasha, and sinnes of Elah his sonne, which they sinned and made Israel to sinne, and prouoked the Lord God of Israel with their vanities.

För alla Baesa och hans sons Ela synders skull, som de gjort hade, och kommo Israel till att synda, och förtörnade Herran Israels Gud i deras afguderi.

14 And the rest of the actes of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

Hvad nu mer af Ela sägandes är, och allt det han gjorde, si, det är skrifvet uti Israels Konungars Chrönico.

15 In the seuen and twentie yeere of Asa King of Iudah did Zimri reigne seuen dayes in Tirzah, and the people was then in campe against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistims.

Uti sjunde och tjugonde årena Asa, Juda Konungs, vardt Simri Konung i sju dagar i Thirza; ty folket låg för Gibbethon de Philisteers.

16 And the people of the hoste heard saye, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also slayne the King. Wherefore all Israel made Omri the captaine of the hoste, king ouer Israel that same day, euen in the hoste.

Då nu folket i lägret hörde sägas, att Simri hade gjort ett förbund, och slagit Konungen ihjäl, gjorde hele Israel på samma dagen Amri, härhöfvitsmannen, till Konung öfver Israel i lägrena.

17 Then Omri went vp from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.

Och Amri drog upp, och hele Israel med honom, ifrå Gibbethon, och belade Thirza.

18 And when Zimri saw, that the citie was taken, he went into the palace of the Kings house, and burnt himselfe, and the Kings house with fire, and so dyed,

Då nu Simri såg, att staden skulle varda vunnen, gick han uti palatset i Konungshusena, och brände sig upp med Konungshusena, och blef död;

19 For his sinnes which hee sinned, in doing that which is euil in the sight of the Lord, in walking in the way of Ieroboam, and in his sinnes which he did, causing Israel to sinne.

För sina synders skull, som han gjort hade, så att han hade gjort det ondt var för Herranom, och vandrade uti Jerobeams väg, och i hans synd, som han gjorde, och kom Israel till att synda.

20 And the rest of the actes of Zimri, and his treason that hee wrought, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kinges of Israel?

Hvad nu mer af Simri sägandes är, och huru han gjorde ett förbund, si, det är skrifvet i Israels Konungars Chrönico.

21 Then were the people of Israel deuided into two partes: for halfe the people followed Tibni the sonne of Ginath to make him King, and the other halfe followed Omri.

På den tiden söndrade sig folket Israel i två delar: en hälften höll sig intill Thibni, Ginaths son, och gjorde honom till Konung; den andra hälften höll sig intill Amri.

22 But the people that folowed Omri, preuayled against the people that followed Tibni the sonne of Ginath: so Tibni dyed, and Omri reigned.

Men det folk, som höll sig intill Amri, vardt starkare än det folk, som höll sig intill Thibni, Ginaths son. Och Thibni blef död, och så blef Amri Konung.

23 In the one and thirtie yeere of Asa King of Iudah bega Omri to reigne ouer Israel, and reigned twelue yeere. Sixe yeere reigned he in Tirzah.

Uti första och tretionde årena Asa, Juda Konungs, vardt Amri Konung öfver Israel i tolf år; och regerade i Thirza i sex år.

24 And he bought the mountaine Samaria of one Shemer for two talents of siluer, and buylt in the mountaine, and called the name of the citie, which he buylt, after the name of Shemer lord of the mountaine, Samaria.

Han köpte Samarie berg af Semer, för två centener silfver; och byggde uppå bergena, och kallade staden, som han byggde, efter Semers namn, som herre var på Samarie berg.

25 But Omri did euil in the eyes of the Lord, and did worse then all that were before him.

Och Amri gjorde det ondt var för Herranom, och var argare än alla de för honom varit hade;

26 For he walked in all the way of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, and in his sinnes wherewith he made Israel to sinne in prouoking the Lord God of Israel with their vanities.

Och vandrade i alla Jerobeams vägar, Nebats sons, och i hans synder, dermed han kom Israel till att synda, så att de förtörnade Herran Israels Gud uti deras afguderi.

27 And the rest of the actes of Omri, that hee did, and his strength that he shewed, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

Hvad nu mer af Amri sägandes är, och allt det han gjort hafver, och om hans magt som han bedref, si, det är skrifvet uti Israels Konungars Chrönico.

28 And Omri slept with his fathers, and was buryed in Samaria: and Ahab his sonne reigned in his stead.

Och Amri afsomnade med sina fäder, och vardt begrafven i Samarien; och Achab hans son vardt Konung i hans stad.

29 Nowe Ahab the sonne of Omri began to reigne ouer Israel, in the eyght and thirtie yeere of Asa king of Iudah: and Ahab the sonne of Omri reigned ouer Israel in Samaria two and twenty yere.

Uti åttonde och tretionde årena Asa, Juda Konungs, vardt Achab, Amri son, Konung öfver Israel; och regerade öfver Israel i Samarien tu och tjugu år;

30 And Ahab the sonne of Omri did worse in ye sight of the Lord then al that were before him.

Och gjorde det ondt var för Herranom, öfver alla dem som för honom varit hade.

31 For was it a light thing for him to walke in the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, except hee tooke Iezebel also the daughter of Ethbaal King of the Zidonians to wife, and went and serued Baal, and worshipped him?

Och var honom icke nog, att han vandrade i Jerobeams, Nebats sons, synder; utan tog dertill Isebel, EthBaals dotter, Konungens i Zidon, till hustru, och gick bort, och tjente Baal, och tillbad honom;

32 Also he reared vp an altar to Baal in the house of Baal, which he had buylt in Samaria.

Och uppsatte Baal ett altare uti Baals hus, det han honom byggde i Samarien;

33 And Ahab made a groue, and Ahab proceeded, and did prouoke the Lord God of Israel more then all the kings of Israel that were before him.

Och gjorde en lund; så att Achab mer gjorde till att förtörna Herran Israels Gud, än alle Israels Konungar, som för honom varit hade.

34 In his dayes did Hiel the Bethelite buylde Iericho: he layed the foundation thereof in Abiram his eldest sonne, and set vp the gates thereof in his yongest sonne Segub, according to the worde of the Lord which he spake by Ioshua the sonne of Nun.

På samma tid byggde Hiel af BethEl Jericho. Det kostade honom hans första son Abiram, då han grundvalen lade; och hans yngsta son Segub, då han satte portarna derföre, efter Herrans ord, som han sagt hade genom Josua, Nuns son.
