1 Kings 16
1 Then the word of the Lord came to Iehu the sonne of Hanani against Baasha, saying,
Entonces la palabra de Yahvé fue dirigida a Jehú, hijo de Hananí, contra Baasá, en estos términos:
2 Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee captaine ouer my people Israel, and thou hast walked in the way of Ieroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sinne, to prouoke me with their sinnes,
“Yo te levanté del polvo, y te he hecho caudillo de Israel, mi pueblo, pero tú has andado en el camino de Jeroboam y has hecho pecar a mi pueblo Israel, provocándome a ira con sus pecados.
3 Beholde, I will take away the posteritie of Baasha, and the posteritie of his house, and will make thine house like the house of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat.
Por eso he aquí que voy a barrer la posteridad de Baasá y la posteridad de su casa, y haré tu casa como la casa de Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat.
4 He that dyeth of Baashas stocke in the citie, him shall the dogs eate: and that man of him which dyeth in the fieldes, shall the foules of the ayre eate.
El que de Baasá muriere en la ciudad, será devorado por los perros, y aquel de los suyos que muriere en el campo, será pasto de las aves del cielo.”
5 And the rest of the actes of Baasha and what he did, and his power, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
Los demás hechos de Baasá, y lo que hizo, y su poderío, ¿no está esto escrito en el libro de los anales de los reyes de Israel?
6 So Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buryed in Tirzah, and Elah his sonne reigned in his steade.
Y se durmió Baasá con sus padres y fue sepultado en Tirsá. En su lugar reinó su hijo Elá.
7 And also by the hande of Iehu the sonne of Hanani the Prophet, came the worde of the Lord to Baasha, and to his house, that he shoulde be like the house of Ieroboam, euen for all the wickednes that he did in the sight of the Lord, in prouoking him with the worke of his hands, and because he killed him.
La palabra de Yahvé, emitida por medio del profeta Jehú, hijo de Hananí, había sido dirigida contra Baasá y su casa no solo por todo el mal que había hecho a los ojos de Yahvé, irritándolo con la obra de sus manos y haciéndose semejante a la casa de Jeroboam, sino también porque había extirpado la casa de este.
8 In the sixe and twentie yeere of Asa king of Iudah began Elah ye sonne of Baasha to reigne ouer Israel in Tirzah, and reigned two yeere.
El año veinte y seis de Asá, rey de Judá, empezó a reinar Elá, hijo de Baasá, sobre Israel en Tirsá (y reinó) dos años.
9 And his seruant Zimri, captaine of halfe his charets, conspired against him, as he was in Tirzah drinking, til he was drunken in the house of Arza steward of his house in Tirzah.
Conspiró contra él su siervo Zambrí, jefe de la mitad de los carros de guerra. Estaba él en Tirsá, bebiendo y emborrachándose en casa de Arsá, mayordomo del palacio de Tirsá,
10 And Zimri came and smote him and killed him, in the seuen and twentie yeere of Asa king of Iudah, and reigned in his stead.
cuando entró Zambrí y lo hirió a muerte, el año veinte y siete de Asá, rey de Judá, y reinó en su lugar.
11 And when he was King, and sate on his throne, he slew al the house of Baasha, not leauing thereof one to pisse against a wall, neither of his kinsfolkes nor of his friendes.
Después de hacerse rey y sentarse sobre el trono, exterminó a toda la casa de Baasá, no dejándole varón alguno, ni pariente, ni amigo.
12 So did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasha, according to the word of the Lord which he spake against Baasha by the hande of Iehu the Prophet,
Así exterminó Zambrí a toda la casa de Baasá, según la palabra que Yahvé había proferido contra Baasá por medio del profeta Jehú,
13 For all the sinnes of Baasha, and sinnes of Elah his sonne, which they sinned and made Israel to sinne, and prouoked the Lord God of Israel with their vanities.
a causa de todos los pecados que Baasá y Elá, su hijo, habían cometido, y que habían hecho cometer a Israel, irritando con sus ídolos a Yahvé, el Dios de Israel.
14 And the rest of the actes of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
Los demás hechos de Elá, y todo lo que hizo, ¿no está escrito en el libro de los anales de los reyes de Israel?
15 In the seuen and twentie yeere of Asa King of Iudah did Zimri reigne seuen dayes in Tirzah, and the people was then in campe against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistims.
El año veinte y siete de Asá, rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Zambrí (y reinó) siete días en Tirsá. Estaba el pueblo sitiando a Gebetón, que pertenecía a los filisteos.
16 And the people of the hoste heard saye, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also slayne the King. Wherefore all Israel made Omri the captaine of the hoste, king ouer Israel that same day, euen in the hoste.
Y oyó decir el pueblo en el campamento: Zambrí ha hecho conspiración y también ha dado muerte al rey. En aquel mismo día todo Israel hizo rey sobre Israel a Amrí, jefe del ejército, en medio del campamento.
17 Then Omri went vp from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.
Subió, pues, Amrí, y todo Israel con él, desde Gebetón, y pusieron sitio a Tirsá.
18 And when Zimri saw, that the citie was taken, he went into the palace of the Kings house, and burnt himselfe, and the Kings house with fire, and so dyed,
Viendo Zambrí que era tomada la ciudad, se retiró a la ciudadela del palacio real, e incendió sobre sí el palacio. Así murió,
19 For his sinnes which hee sinned, in doing that which is euil in the sight of the Lord, in walking in the way of Ieroboam, and in his sinnes which he did, causing Israel to sinne.
a causa de los pecados que había cometido, haciendo lo malo a los ojos de Yahvé, y andando en el camino de Jeroboam y en el pecado que este cometió, induciendo a Israel a pecar.
20 And the rest of the actes of Zimri, and his treason that hee wrought, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kinges of Israel?
Los demás hechos de Zambrí, y la conspiración que tramó, ¿no está escrito en el libro de los anales de los reyes de Israel?
21 Then were the people of Israel deuided into two partes: for halfe the people followed Tibni the sonne of Ginath to make him King, and the other halfe followed Omri.
Entonces se dividió el pueblo de Israel en dos partidos, siguiendo la mitad del pueblo a Tební, hijo de Ginet, para hacerle rey, mientras la otra mitad estaba con Amrí.
22 But the people that folowed Omri, preuayled against the people that followed Tibni the sonne of Ginath: so Tibni dyed, and Omri reigned.
Pero la gente que estaba con Amrí, prevaleció contra la gente que estaba con Tební, hijo de Ginet, de manera que murió Tební y Amrí subió al trono.
23 In the one and thirtie yeere of Asa King of Iudah bega Omri to reigne ouer Israel, and reigned twelue yeere. Sixe yeere reigned he in Tirzah.
El año treinta y uno de Asá, rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Amrí sobre Israel (y reinó) doce años; seis de ellos reinó en Tirsá.
24 And he bought the mountaine Samaria of one Shemer for two talents of siluer, and buylt in the mountaine, and called the name of the citie, which he buylt, after the name of Shemer lord of the mountaine, Samaria.
Compró a Sémer el monte de Samaria, por dos talentos de plata, y edificó sobre el monte, dando a la ciudad que edificó el nombre de Samaria, según el nombre de Sémer, dueño del monte.
25 But Omri did euil in the eyes of the Lord, and did worse then all that were before him.
Amrí hizo lo que era malo a los ojos de Yahvé, y cometió más maldades que todos sus antecesores.
26 For he walked in all the way of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, and in his sinnes wherewith he made Israel to sinne in prouoking the Lord God of Israel with their vanities.
Imitó todos los caminos de Jeroboam, hijo de Nabar, y en el pecado que este había hecho cometer a Israel, irritando con sus ídolos a Yahvé, el Dios de Israel.
27 And the rest of the actes of Omri, that hee did, and his strength that he shewed, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
Los demás hechos de Amrí, y las hazañas que hizo, ¿no está esto escrito en el libro de los anales de los reyes de Israel?
28 And Omri slept with his fathers, and was buryed in Samaria: and Ahab his sonne reigned in his stead.
Amrí se durmió con sus padres y fue sepultado en Samaria, reinando en su lugar su hijo Acab.
29 Nowe Ahab the sonne of Omri began to reigne ouer Israel, in the eyght and thirtie yeere of Asa king of Iudah: and Ahab the sonne of Omri reigned ouer Israel in Samaria two and twenty yere.
Acab, hijo de Amrí, comenzó a reinar sobre Israel el año treinta y ocho de Asá, rey de Judá; y reinó Acab, hijo de Amrí, sobre Israel en Samaria veintidós años.
30 And Ahab the sonne of Omri did worse in ye sight of the Lord then al that were before him.
Acab, hijo de Amrí, hizo muchas maldades a los ojos de Yahvé, más que todos sus antecesores.
31 For was it a light thing for him to walke in the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, except hee tooke Iezebel also the daughter of Ethbaal King of the Zidonians to wife, and went and serued Baal, and worshipped him?
Pareciéndole poca cosa andar en los pecados de Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, tomó por mujer a Jezabel, hija de Etbaal, rey de los sidonios, y fue a dar culto a Baal y se prosternó ante él.
32 Also he reared vp an altar to Baal in the house of Baal, which he had buylt in Samaria.
Erigió también un altar a Baal en el templo de Baal que había edificado en Samaria.
33 And Ahab made a groue, and Ahab proceeded, and did prouoke the Lord God of Israel more then all the kings of Israel that were before him.
Acab hizo, además, una aschera, y así hizo más para irritar a Yahvé, el Dios de Israel, que todos los reyes de Israel que le habían precedido.
34 In his dayes did Hiel the Bethelite buylde Iericho: he layed the foundation thereof in Abiram his eldest sonne, and set vp the gates thereof in his yongest sonne Segub, according to the worde of the Lord which he spake by Ioshua the sonne of Nun.
En sus días, Hiél de Betel reedificó a Jericó. Sobre Abiram, su primogénito, echó los cimientos de ella, y sobre Segub, su hijo menor, puso las puertas, según la palabra que Yahvé había dicho por boca de Josué, hijo de Nun.
