1 Kings 14
1 At that time Abiiah the sonne of Ieroboam fell sicke.
Naquele tempo Abias filho de Jeroboão caiu enfermo,
2 And Ieroboam saide vnto his wife, Vp, I pray thee, and disguise thy selfe, that they know not that thou art the wife of Ieroboam, and goe to Shiloh: for there is Ahiiah the Prophet, which tolde mee that I shoulde bee King ouer this people,
E disse Jeroboão à sua mulher: Levanta-te agora, disfarça-te, porque não te conheçam que és a mulher de Jeroboão, e vai a Siló; que ali está Aías profeta, o que me disse que eu havia de ser rei sobre este povo.
3 And take with thee tenne loaues and craknels, and a bottell of honie, and go to him: hee shall tell thee what shall become of the yong man.
E toma em tua mão dez pães, e bolos, e uma botija de mel, e vai a ele; que te declare o que será deste jovem.
4 And Ieroboams wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahiiah: but Ahiiah could not see, for his sight was decayed for his age.
E a mulher de Jeroboão o fez assim; e levantou-se, e foi a Siló, e veio à casa de Aías. E não podia já ver Aías, que seus olhos se haviam escurecido à causa de sua velhice.
5 Then the Lord saide vnto Ahiiah, Beholde, the wife of Ieroboam commeth to aske a thing of thee for her sonne, for he is sicke: thus and thus shalt thou say vnto her: for when shee commeth in, shee shall feine her selfe to be another.
Mas o SENHOR havia dito a Aías: Eis que a mulher de Jeroboão virá a consultar-te por seu filho, que está enfermo: assim e assim lhe responderás; pois será que quando ela vier, virá dissimulada.
6 Therefore when Ahiiah heard the sounde of her feete as shee came in at the doore, hee saide, Come in, thou wife of Ieroboam: why feinest thou thus thy selfe to bee an other? I am sent to thee with heauie tidings.
E quando Aías ouviu o som de seus pés quando entrava pela porta, disse: Entra, mulher de Jeroboão; por que te finges outra? Porém eu sou enviado a ti com revelação dura.
7 Goe, tel Ieroboam, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Forasmuch as I haue exalted thee from among the people, and haue made thee prince ouer my people Israel,
Vai, e dize a Jeroboão: Assim disse o SENHOR Deus de Israel: Porquanto eu te levantei de em meio do povo, e te fiz príncipe sobre meu povo Israel,
8 And haue rent the kingdome away from the house of Dauid, and haue giuen it thee, and thou hast not bene as my seruant Dauid, which kept my commandements, and followed mee with all his heart, and did onely that which was right in mine eyes,
E rompi o reino da casa de Davi, e o entreguei a ti; e tu não foste como Davi meu servo, que guardou meus mandamentos e andou após o mim com todo seu coração, fazendo somente o direito diante de meus olhos;
9 But hast done euil aboue al that were before thee (for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to prouoke me, and hast cast me behinde thy backe)
Antes fizeste o mau sobre todos os que foram antes de ti: que foste e te fizeste deuses alheios e de fundição para irar-me, e a mim me lançaste atrás tuas costas:
10 Therefore beholde, I will bring euill vpon the house of Ieroboam, and will cut off from Ieroboam him that pisseth against the wall, aswell him that is shut vp, as him that is left in Israel, and will sweepe away the remnant of the house of Ieroboam, as a man sweepeth away doung, till it be all gone.
Portanto, eis que eu trago mal sobre a casa de Jeroboão, e eu exterminarei de Jeroboão todo macho, tanto o escravo como o livre em Israel; e varrerei a posteridade da casa de Jeroboão, como é varrido o lixo, até que seja acabada.
11 The dogges shall eate him of Ieroboams stocke that dyeth in the citie, and the foules of the aire shall eate him that dyeth in the fielde: for the Lord hath said it.
O que morrer dos de Jeroboão na cidade, lhe comerão os cães; e o que morrer no campo, as aves do céu o comerão; porque o SENHOR o disse.
12 Vp therefore and get thee to thine house: for when thy feete enter into the citie, the childe shall die.
E tu levanta-te, e vai-te à tua casa; que em entrando teu pé na cidade, morrerá o jovem.
13 And al Israel shall mourne for him, and burie him: for he onely of Ieroboam shall come to the graue, because in him there is found some goodnes towarde the Lord God of Israel in the house of Ieroboam.
E todo Israel o lamentará, e lhe enterrarão; porque somente ele dos de Jeroboão entrará em sepultura; porquanto se achou nele alguma coisa boa do SENHOR Deus de Israel, na casa de Jeroboão.
14 Moreouer, the Lord shall stirre him vp a King ouer Israel, which shall destroy the house of Ieroboam in that day: what? yea, euen nowe.
E o SENHOR se levantará um rei sobre Israel, o qual exterminará a casa de Jeroboão neste dia; e que, se agora?
15 For the Lord shall smite Israel, as when a reede is shaken in the water, and hee shall weede Israel out of his good lad, which he gaue to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the Riuer, because they haue made them groues, prouoking the Lord to anger.
E o SENHOR sacudirá a Israel, ao modo que a cana se agita nas águas: e ele arrancará a Israel desta boa terra que havia dado a seus pais, e os dispersará da outra parte do rio, porquanto fizeram seus bosques, irando ao SENHOR.
16 And he shall giue Israel vp, because of the sinnes of Ieroboam, who did sinne, and made Israel to sinne.
E ele entregará a Israel pelos pecados de Jeroboão, o qual pecou, e fez pecar a Israel.
17 And Ieroboams wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah, and when shee came to the threshold of the house, the yong man dyed,
Então a mulher de Jeroboão se levantou, e se foi, e veio a Tirsa: e entrando ela pelo umbral da casa, o jovem morreu.
18 And they buried him, and all Israel lamented him; according to the word of the Lord, which hee spake by the hand of his seruant Ahiiah the Prophet.
E enterraram-no, e lamentaram-no todo Israel, conforme à palavra do SENHOR, que ele havia falado por mão de seu servo Aías profeta.
19 And the rest of Ieroboams actes, how hee warred, and howe hee reigned, beholde, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
Os outros feitos de Jeroboão, que guerras fez, e como reinou, tudo está escrito no livro das histórias dos reis de Israel.
20 And the dayes which Ieroboam reigned, were two and twentie yeere: and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his sonne reigned in his steade.
O tempo que reinou Jeroboão foram vinte e dois anos; e havendo descansado com seus pais, reinou em seu lugar Nadabe seu filho.
21 Also Rehoboam the sonne of Salomon reigned in Iudah. Rehoboam was one and fourtie yere olde, when he began to reigne, and reigned seuenteene yere in Ierusalem, the citie which the Lord did chuse out of al the tribes of Israel, to put his Name there: and his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonite.
E Roboão filho de Salomão reinou em Judá. De quarenta e um anos era Roboão quando começou a reinar, e dezessete anos reinou em Jerusalém, cidade que o SENHOR elegeu de todas as tribos de Israel para pôr ali seu nome. O nome de sua mãe foi Naamá, amonita.
22 And Iudah wrought wickednesse in the sight of the Lord: and they prouoked him more with their sinnes, which they had committed, then all that which their fathers had done.
E Judá fez o que era mau aos olhos do SENHOR, e iraram-lhe mais que tudo o que seus pais haviam feito em seus pecados que cometeram.
23 For they also made them hie places, and images, and groues on euery hie hill, and vnder euery greene tree.
Porque eles também se edificaram altos, estátuas, e bosques, em todo morro alto, e debaixo de toda árvore frondosa:
24 There were also Sodomites in the lande, they did according to all the abominations of the nations, which the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.
E havia também sodomitas na terra, e fizeram conforme a todas as abominações das nações que o SENHOR havia lançado diante dos filhos de Israel.
25 And in the fift yere of King Rehoboam, Shishak King of Egypt came vp against Ierusale,
Ao quinto ano do rei Roboão subiu Sisaque rei do Egito contra Jerusalém.
26 And tooke the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the Kings house, and tooke away all: also he caried away all the shields of golde which Salomon had made.
E tomou os tesouros da casa do SENHOR, e os tesouros da casa real, e saqueou-o tudo: levou-se também todos os escudos de ouro que Salomão havia feito.
27 And King Rehoboam made for them brasen shieldes, and committed them vnto ye hands of the chiefe of the garde, which wayted at the doore of the Kings house.
E em lugar deles fez o rei Roboão escudos de bronze, e deu-os em mãos dos capitães dos da guarda, os quais guardavam a porta da casa real.
28 And when the King went into the house of the Lord, the garde bare them, and brought them againe into the gard chamber.
E quando o rei entrava na casa do SENHOR, os da guarda os levavam; e punham-nos depois na câmara dos da guarda.
29 And the rest of the actes of Rehoboam, and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?
Os demais dos feitos de Roboão, e todas as coisas que fez, não estão escritas nas crônicas dos reis de Judá?
30 And there was warre betweene Rehoboam and Ieroboam continually.
E havia guerra entre Roboão e Jeroboão todos os dias.
31 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the citie of Dauid: his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonite. And Abiiam his sonne reigned in his stead.
E descansou Roboão com seus pais, e foi sepultado com seus pais na cidade de Davi. O nome de sua mãe foi Naamá, amonita. E reinou em seu lugar Abião seu filho.
