1 Kings 14
1 At that time Abiiah the sonne of Ieroboam fell sicke.
W tym czasie zachorował Abiasz, syn Jeroboama.
2 And Ieroboam saide vnto his wife, Vp, I pray thee, and disguise thy selfe, that they know not that thou art the wife of Ieroboam, and goe to Shiloh: for there is Ahiiah the Prophet, which tolde mee that I shoulde bee King ouer this people,
I Jeroboam powiedział do swojej żony: Wstań teraz, przebierz się, aby nie poznano, że jesteś żoną Jeroboama, i idź do Szilo. [Jest] tam prorok Achiasz, który mi powiedział, że będę królem nad tym ludem.
3 And take with thee tenne loaues and craknels, and a bottell of honie, and go to him: hee shall tell thee what shall become of the yong man.
Weź ze sobą dziesięć chlebów, placki i dzban miodu i idź do niego. On ci oznajmi, co się stanie z dzieckiem.
4 And Ieroboams wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahiiah: but Ahiiah could not see, for his sight was decayed for his age.
Żona Jeroboama tak uczyniła. Wstała i poszła do Szilo, i przybyła do domu Achiasza. Lecz Achiasz już nie widział, gdyż jego oczy osłabły z powodu jego starości.
5 Then the Lord saide vnto Ahiiah, Beholde, the wife of Ieroboam commeth to aske a thing of thee for her sonne, for he is sicke: thus and thus shalt thou say vnto her: for when shee commeth in, shee shall feine her selfe to be another.
A PAN powiedział do Achiasza: Oto żona Jeroboama nadchodzi, aby dowiedzieć się czegoś od ciebie o swoim synu, gdyż jest chory. Powiesz jej tak i tak, bo gdy wejdzie, będzie udawała kogoś innego.
6 Therefore when Ahiiah heard the sounde of her feete as shee came in at the doore, hee saide, Come in, thou wife of Ieroboam: why feinest thou thus thy selfe to bee an other? I am sent to thee with heauie tidings.
Gdy więc Achiasz usłyszał odgłos jej kroków, gdy wchodziła przez drzwi, powiedział: Wejdź, żono Jeroboama. Dlaczego udajesz kogoś innego? Zostałem posłany do ciebie z przykrą nowiną.
7 Goe, tel Ieroboam, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Forasmuch as I haue exalted thee from among the people, and haue made thee prince ouer my people Israel,
Idź, powiedz Jeroboamowi: Tak mówi PAN, Bóg Izraela: Mimo że wywyższyłem cię spośród ludu i ustanowiłem cię księciem nad moim ludem Izraelem;
8 And haue rent the kingdome away from the house of Dauid, and haue giuen it thee, and thou hast not bene as my seruant Dauid, which kept my commandements, and followed mee with all his heart, and did onely that which was right in mine eyes,
Wyrwałem domowi Dawida królestwo i dałem je tobie, ty jednak nie byłeś jak mój sługa Dawid, który przestrzegał moich przykazań i który chodził za mną całym swym sercem, czyniąc tylko to, co jest prawe w moich oczach;
9 But hast done euil aboue al that were before thee (for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to prouoke me, and hast cast me behinde thy backe)
Lecz postępowałeś gorzej niż wszyscy, którzy byli przed tobą. Ty bowiem poszedłeś i uczyniłeś sobie obcych bogów i odlane posągi, aby mnie pobudzić do gniewu, mnie zaś rzuciłeś za plecy.
10 Therefore beholde, I will bring euill vpon the house of Ieroboam, and will cut off from Ieroboam him that pisseth against the wall, aswell him that is shut vp, as him that is left in Israel, and will sweepe away the remnant of the house of Ieroboam, as a man sweepeth away doung, till it be all gone.
Dlatego sprowadzę nieszczęście na dom Jeroboama i wytępię z Jeroboama każdego, aż do najmniejszego szczenięcia, każdego więźnia i opuszczonego w Izraelu, i usunę ostatki domu Jeroboama, jak usuwa się gnój, aż do końca.
11 The dogges shall eate him of Ieroboams stocke that dyeth in the citie, and the foules of the aire shall eate him that dyeth in the fielde: for the Lord hath said it.
Tego, kto [z domu] Jeroboama umrze w mieście, zjedzą psy, a tego, kto umrze na polu, zjedzą powietrzne ptaki, ponieważ tak powiedział PAN.
12 Vp therefore and get thee to thine house: for when thy feete enter into the citie, the childe shall die.
Ty zaś wstań i idź do swego domu, [a] gdy wejdziesz do miasta, dziecko umrze.
13 And al Israel shall mourne for him, and burie him: for he onely of Ieroboam shall come to the graue, because in him there is found some goodnes towarde the Lord God of Israel in the house of Ieroboam.
I cały Izrael będzie je opłakiwał, i pogrzebie je, bo jedynie ono [z domu] Jeroboama zejdzie do grobu, gdyż w nim znalazło się [coś] dobrego względem PANA, Boga Izraela, w domu Jeroboama.
14 Moreouer, the Lord shall stirre him vp a King ouer Israel, which shall destroy the house of Ieroboam in that day: what? yea, euen nowe.
PAN zaś ustanowi sobie króla nad Izraelem, który wytępi dom Jeroboama w tym samym dniu. A co [mówię, wzbudzi]? I owszem, już [wzbudził].
15 For the Lord shall smite Israel, as when a reede is shaken in the water, and hee shall weede Israel out of his good lad, which he gaue to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the Riuer, because they haue made them groues, prouoking the Lord to anger.
I PAN uderzy Izraela [tak], że [się zachwieje], jak się chwieje trzcina w wodzie, i wykorzeni Izraela z tej dobrej ziemi, którą dał ich ojcom, i rozproszy ich za rzeką za to, że uczynili sobie gaje, pobudzając PANA do gniewu.
16 And he shall giue Israel vp, because of the sinnes of Ieroboam, who did sinne, and made Israel to sinne.
I tak porzuci on Izraela z powodu grzechów Jeroboama, który grzeszył i skłonił Izraela do grzechu.
17 And Ieroboams wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah, and when shee came to the threshold of the house, the yong man dyed,
Wtedy żona Jeroboama wstała, wyruszyła i przybyła do Tirsy. Gdy przekroczyła próg domu, dziecko umarło.
18 And they buried him, and all Israel lamented him; according to the word of the Lord, which hee spake by the hand of his seruant Ahiiah the Prophet.
I pogrzebali je, i cały Izrael je opłakiwał zgodnie ze słowem PANA, które zapowiedział przez swego sługę, proroka Achiasza.
19 And the rest of Ieroboams actes, how hee warred, and howe hee reigned, beholde, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
Pozostałe zaś dzieje Jeroboama, jak walczył i jak królował, są zapisane w kronikach o królach Izraela.
20 And the dayes which Ieroboam reigned, were two and twentie yeere: and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his sonne reigned in his steade.
A czas, który królował Jeroboam, wynosił dwadzieścia dwa lata. Potem zasnął ze swoimi ojcami, a jego syn Nadab królował w jego miejsce.
21 Also Rehoboam the sonne of Salomon reigned in Iudah. Rehoboam was one and fourtie yere olde, when he began to reigne, and reigned seuenteene yere in Ierusalem, the citie which the Lord did chuse out of al the tribes of Israel, to put his Name there: and his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonite.
Roboam zaś, syn Salomona, królował w Judzie. Roboam [miał] czterdzieści jeden lat, gdy zaczął królować, a królował siedemnaście lat w Jerozolimie, w mieście, które PAN wybrał spośród wszystkich pokoleń Izraela, aby tam przebywało jego imię. Jego matka miała na imię Naama, [była] Ammonitką.
22 And Iudah wrought wickednesse in the sight of the Lord: and they prouoked him more with their sinnes, which they had committed, then all that which their fathers had done.
I Juda czynił to, co złe w oczach PANA, i swoimi grzechami, które popełniali, pobudzali go do zazdrości bardziej niż to wszystko, co czynili ich ojcowie.
23 For they also made them hie places, and images, and groues on euery hie hill, and vnder euery greene tree.
Pobudowali sobie bowiem wyżyny, posągi i gaje na każdym wysokim wzgórzu i pod każdym zielonym drzewem.
24 There were also Sodomites in the lande, they did according to all the abominations of the nations, which the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.
Byli też w tej ziemi sodomici. Postępowali oni według wszystkich obrzydliwości pogan, których PAN wypędził sprzed synów Izraela.
25 And in the fift yere of King Rehoboam, Shishak King of Egypt came vp against Ierusale,
A w piątym roku króla Roboama, przeciw Jerozolimie nadciągnął Sziszak, król Egiptu.
26 And tooke the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the Kings house, and tooke away all: also he caried away all the shields of golde which Salomon had made.
I zabrał skarby domu PANA oraz skarby domu królewskiego, zabrał wszystko. Zabrał też wszystkie złote tarcze, które wykonał Salomon.
27 And King Rehoboam made for them brasen shieldes, and committed them vnto ye hands of the chiefe of the garde, which wayted at the doore of the Kings house.
Zamiast nich król Roboam wykonał spiżowe tarcze i powierzył je dowódcy straży przybocznej, która strzegła drzwi domu królewskiego.
28 And when the King went into the house of the Lord, the garde bare them, and brought them againe into the gard chamber.
Ilekroć król wchodził do domu PANA, straż je nosiła, a potem odnosiła do wartowni.
29 And the rest of the actes of Rehoboam, and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?
A pozostałe dzieje Roboama i wszystko, co czynił, czyż nie są zapisane w kronikach królów Judy?
30 And there was warre betweene Rehoboam and Ieroboam continually.
I trwała wojna między Roboamem a Jeroboamem po wszystkie dni.
31 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the citie of Dauid: his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonite. And Abiiam his sonne reigned in his stead.
Potem Roboam zasnął ze swoimi ojcami i został pogrzebany z nimi w mieście Dawida. A jego matka miała na imię Naama, [była] Ammonitką. I jego syn Abijam królował w jego miejsce.
