1 Kings 14
1 At that time Abiiah the sonne of Ieroboam fell sicke.
Ved den Tid blev Jeroboams Søn Abija syg.
2 And Ieroboam saide vnto his wife, Vp, I pray thee, and disguise thy selfe, that they know not that thou art the wife of Ieroboam, and goe to Shiloh: for there is Ahiiah the Prophet, which tolde mee that I shoulde bee King ouer this people,
Da sagde Jeroboam til sin Hustru: "Tag og forklæd dig, så man ikke kan kende, at du er Jeroboams Hustru, og begiv dig til Silo, thi der bor Profeten Ahija, som kundgjorde mig, at jeg skulde blive Konge over dette Folk;
3 And take with thee tenne loaues and craknels, and a bottell of honie, and go to him: hee shall tell thee what shall become of the yong man.
tag ti Brød, noget Bagværk og en Krukke Honning med og henvend dig til ham, så vil han sige dig, hvorledes det skal gå Drengen!"
4 And Ieroboams wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahiiah: but Ahiiah could not see, for his sight was decayed for his age.
Jeroboams Hustru gjorde nu således; hun begav sig til Silo og gik ind i Ahijas Hus. Ahija kunde ikke se, da hans Øjne var sløve af Alderdom;
5 Then the Lord saide vnto Ahiiah, Beholde, the wife of Ieroboam commeth to aske a thing of thee for her sonne, for he is sicke: thus and thus shalt thou say vnto her: for when shee commeth in, shee shall feine her selfe to be another.
men HERREN havde sagt til Ahija: "Se, Jeroboams Hustru kommer til dig for at høre sig for hos dig angående sin Søn, da han er syg; det og det skal du svare hende; men når hun kommer, er hun forklædt."
6 Therefore when Ahiiah heard the sounde of her feete as shee came in at the doore, hee saide, Come in, thou wife of Ieroboam: why feinest thou thus thy selfe to bee an other? I am sent to thee with heauie tidings.
Da nu Ahija hørte Lyden af hendes Trin, som hun gik ind ad Døren, sagde han: "Kom kun ind, Jeroboams Hustru! Hvorfor er du forklædt? Mig er det pålagt at bringe dig en tung Tidende.
7 Goe, tel Ieroboam, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Forasmuch as I haue exalted thee from among the people, and haue made thee prince ouer my people Israel,
Gå hen og sig til Jeroboam: Så siger HERREN, Israels Gud: Jeg ophøjede dig af Folkets Midte og gjorde dig til Fyrste over mit Folk Israel
8 And haue rent the kingdome away from the house of Dauid, and haue giuen it thee, and thou hast not bene as my seruant Dauid, which kept my commandements, and followed mee with all his heart, and did onely that which was right in mine eyes,
og rev Riget fra Davids Hus og gav dig det; dog har du ikke været som min Tjener David, der holdt mine Bud og fulgte mig af hele sit Hjerte og kun gjorde, hvad der er ret i mine Øjne,
9 But hast done euil aboue al that were before thee (for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to prouoke me, and hast cast me behinde thy backe)
men du har handlet værre end alle dine Forgængere; du gik hen og krænkede mig og gjorde dig andre Guder og støbte Billeder, men mig kastede du bag din Ryg;
10 Therefore beholde, I will bring euill vpon the house of Ieroboam, and will cut off from Ieroboam him that pisseth against the wall, aswell him that is shut vp, as him that is left in Israel, and will sweepe away the remnant of the house of Ieroboam, as a man sweepeth away doung, till it be all gone.
se, derfor vil jeg bringe Ulykke over Jeroboams Hus og udrydde hvert mandligt Væsen, hver og en af Jeroboams Slægt i Israel, og jeg vil feje Jeroboams Hus bort, som man fejer Skarn bort, til der ikke er Spor tilbage!
11 The dogges shall eate him of Ieroboams stocke that dyeth in the citie, and the foules of the aire shall eate him that dyeth in the fielde: for the Lord hath said it.
Den af Jeroboams Slægt, som dør i Byen, skal Hundene æde, og den, som dør på Marken, skal Himmelens Fugle æde, thi det er HERREN, der har talet!
12 Vp therefore and get thee to thine house: for when thy feete enter into the citie, the childe shall die.
Men gå nu hjem! Når din Fod betræder Byen, skal Barnet dø;
13 And al Israel shall mourne for him, and burie him: for he onely of Ieroboam shall come to the graue, because in him there is found some goodnes towarde the Lord God of Israel in the house of Ieroboam.
og hele Israel skal holde Dødeklage over ham og jorde ham, thi han er den eneste af Jeroboams Slægt, der skal komme i en Grav; thi hos ham fandtes dog noget, der vandt HERREN Israels Guds Behag inden for Jeroboams Slægt.
14 Moreouer, the Lord shall stirre him vp a King ouer Israel, which shall destroy the house of Ieroboam in that day: what? yea, euen nowe.
Men HERREN vil oprejse sig en Konge over Israel, der skal udrydde Jeroboams Hus på den Dag.
15 For the Lord shall smite Israel, as when a reede is shaken in the water, and hee shall weede Israel out of his good lad, which he gaue to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the Riuer, because they haue made them groues, prouoking the Lord to anger.
Men også siden vil HERREN slå Israel, så at de svajer hid og did som Sivet i Vandet, og rykke Israel op fra dette herlige Land, som han gav deres Fædre, og sprede dem hinsides Floden, fordi de har lavet sig Asjerastøtter og krænket HERREN;
16 And he shall giue Israel vp, because of the sinnes of Ieroboam, who did sinne, and made Israel to sinne.
og han vil give Israel til Pris for de Synders Skyld, Jeroboam har begået og forledt Israel til."
17 And Ieroboams wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah, and when shee came to the threshold of the house, the yong man dyed,
Da gav Jeroboams Hustru sig på Vej og kom til Tirza; og da hun betrådte Husets Tærskel, døde Drengen;
18 And they buried him, and all Israel lamented him; according to the word of the Lord, which hee spake by the hand of his seruant Ahiiah the Prophet.
og man jordede ham, og hele Israel holdt Dødeklage over ham efter det Ord, HERREN havde talet ved sin Tjener, Profeten Ahija.
19 And the rest of Ieroboams actes, how hee warred, and howe hee reigned, beholde, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
Hvad der ellers er at fortælle om Jeroboam, hvorledes han førte Krig, og hvorledes han herskede står jo optegnet i Israels kongers Krønike.
20 And the dayes which Ieroboam reigned, were two and twentie yeere: and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his sonne reigned in his steade.
Jeroboams Regeringstid udgjorde to og tyve År. Så lagde han sig til Hvile hos sine Fædre, og hans Søn Nadab blev Konge i hans Sted.
21 Also Rehoboam the sonne of Salomon reigned in Iudah. Rehoboam was one and fourtie yere olde, when he began to reigne, and reigned seuenteene yere in Ierusalem, the citie which the Lord did chuse out of al the tribes of Israel, to put his Name there: and his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonite.
Rehabeam, Salomos Søn, blev Kongei Juda. Rehabeam var een og fyrretyve År gammel, da han blev Konge, og han herskede sytten År i Jerusalem, den By, HERREN havde udvalgt af alle Israels Stammer for der at stedfæste sit Navn. Hans Moder var en ammonitisk Kvinde ved Navn Na'ama.
22 And Iudah wrought wickednesse in the sight of the Lord: and they prouoked him more with their sinnes, which they had committed, then all that which their fathers had done.
Og Juda gjorde, hvad der var ondt i HERRENs Øjne, og med de Synder, de begik, vakte de hans Nidkærhed, mere end deres Fædre havde gjort.
23 For they also made them hie places, and images, and groues on euery hie hill, and vnder euery greene tree.
Også de byggede sig Offerhøje, Stenstøtter og Asjerastøtter på alle høje Steder og under alle grønne Træer;
24 There were also Sodomites in the lande, they did according to all the abominations of the nations, which the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.
ja, der var endog Mandsskøger i Landet. De øvede alle de Vederstyggeligheder, som var begået af de Folk, HERREN havde drevet bort foran Israeliterne.
25 And in the fift yere of King Rehoboam, Shishak King of Egypt came vp against Ierusale,
Men i Kong Rebabeams femte Regeringsår drog Ægypterkongen Sjisjak op imod Jerusalem
26 And tooke the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the Kings house, and tooke away all: also he caried away all the shields of golde which Salomon had made.
og tog Skattene i HERRENs Hus og i Kongens Palads; alt tog han, også de Guldskjolde, Salomo havde ladet lave.
27 And King Rehoboam made for them brasen shieldes, and committed them vnto ye hands of the chiefe of the garde, which wayted at the doore of the Kings house.
Kong Rehabeam lod da i Stedet lave Kobberskjolde og gav dem i Forvaring hos Høvedsmændene for Livvagten, der holdt Vagt ved Indgangen til Kongens Palads;
28 And when the King went into the house of the Lord, the garde bare them, and brought them againe into the gard chamber.
og hver Gang Kongen begav sig til HERRENs Hus, bentede Livvagten dem, og bagefter bragte de dem tilbage til Vagtstuen.
29 And the rest of the actes of Rehoboam, and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?

30 And there was warre betweene Rehoboam and Ieroboam continually.
Rehabeam og Jeroboam lå i Krig med hinanden hele Tiden.
31 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the citie of Dauid: his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonite. And Abiiam his sonne reigned in his stead.
Så lagde Rehabeam sig til Hvile hos sine Fædre og blev jordet hos sine Fædre i Davidsbyen. Hans Moder var en ammonitisk Kvinde ved Navn Na'ama. Og hans Søn Abija blev Konge i hans Sted.
