1 Kings 13
1 And beholde, there came a man of God out of Iudah (by the commandement of the Lord) vnto Beth-el, and Ieroboam stoode by the altar to offer incense.
੧ਵੇਖੋ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਬੰਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ।
2 And he cryed against the altar by the comandement of the Lord, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the Lord, Beholde, a child shalbe borne vnto the house of Dauid, Iosiah by name, and vpon thee shall he sacrifice the Priestes of the hie places that burne incense vpon thee, and they shall burne mens bones vpon thee.
੨ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਨਾਲ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਉੱਚੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ, ਹੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵੇਖ, ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਯੋਸ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਨਾਮੇ ਇੱਕ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਜੰਮੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉੱਚਿਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਾੜੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
3 And he gaue a signe the same time, saying, This is the signe, that the Lord hath spoken, Behold, the altar shall rent, and the ashes that are vpon it, shall fall out.
੩ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਇੱਕ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵੇਖੋ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਪਾਟ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸੁਆਹ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਢਿਲਕ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
4 And when the King had heard the saying of the man of God, which he had cryed against the altar in Beth-el, Ieroboam stretched out his hand from the altar, saying, Lay holde on him: but his hande which he put foorth against him, dryed vp, and he could not pull it in againe to him.
੪ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਉੱਚੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਾਂਹ ਲੰਮੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਲਓ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਬਾਂਹ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਲੰਮੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਸੁੱਕ ਗਈ ਸੋ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੱਲ ਖਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਸਕਿਆ।
5 The altar also claue asunder, and the ashes fell out from the altar, according to the signe, which the man of God had giuen by the commandement of the Lord.
੫ਤਾਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਵੀ ਪਾਟ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਆਹ ਉਸ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਢਿਲਕ ਪਈ ਉਸ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਨਾਲ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।
6 Then the King answered, and saide vnto the man of God, I beseeche thee, pray vnto ye Lord thy God, and make intercession for me, that mine hand may bee restored vnto me. And the man of God besought the Lord, and the Kings hand was restored, and became as it was afore.
੬ਤਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੱਥ ਫੇਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਚੰਗਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਚੰਗਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
7 Then the King sayde vnto the man of God, Come home with mee, that thou mayest dyne, and I will giue thee a reward.
੭ਤਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਉਸ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਹਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਭੋਜਣ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਾਨ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
8 But the man of God saide vnto the King, If thou wouldest giue me halfe thine house, I would not goe in with thee, neither woulde I eate bread nor drinke water in this place.
੮ਪਰ ਉਸ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਅੱਧਾ ਮਹਿਲ ਵੀ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗਾ ਨਾ ਇੱਥੇ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਵਾਂਗਾ।
9 For so was it charged mee by the worde of the Lord, saying, Eate no bread nor drinke water, nor turne againe by the same way that thou camest.
੯ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਨਾ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਵੀਂ ਨਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਵੀਂ ਨਾ ਇਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਮੁੜੀਂ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਇਆ।
10 So he went another way and returned not by the way that he came to Beth-el.
੧੦ਸੋ ਉਹ ਦੂਜੇ ਰਾਹ ਥਾਣੀ ਮੁੜ ਗਿਆ ਉਸ ਰਾਹੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਸ ਥਾਣੀ ਉਹ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ।
11 And an olde Prophet dwelt in Beth-el, and his sonnes came and tolde him all ye woorkes, that the man of God had done that day in Beth-el, and the wordes which he had spoken vnto the King, tolde they their father.
੧੧ਬੈਤਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਨਬੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਣ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਦੱਸੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ।
12 And their father sayde vnto them, What way went he? and his sonnes shewed him what waye the man of God went, which came from Iudah.
੧੨ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲਿਆ, ਉਹ ਕਿਸ ਰਾਹ ਗਿਆ? ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਰਾਹ ਗਿਆ।
13 And hee saide vnto his sonnes, Saddle mee the asse. Who sadled him the asse, and hee rode thereon,
੧੩ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਗਧੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਾਠੀ ਕੱਸ ਦਿਓ ਸੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਗਧੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਾਠੀ ਕੱਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ।
14 And went after the man of God, and found him sitting vnder an oke: and he saide vnto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Iudah? And he sayd, Yea.
੧੪ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚੱਲ ਪਿਆ ਸੋ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਲੂਤ ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਲੱਭਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਉਹੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਆਇਆ ਹੈਂ? ਉਸ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਹਾਂ।
15 Then he said vnto him, Come home with me, and eate bread.
੧੫ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਹ।
16 But he answered, I may not returne with thee, nor go in with thee, neither wil I eate bread nor drinke water with thee in this place.
੧੬ਪਰ ਉਸ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ਨਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਨਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਥੇ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਨਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਵਾਂਗਾ।
17 For it was charged me by the word of the Lord, saying, Thou shalt eate no bread, nor drinke water there, nor turne againe to goe by the way that thou wentest.
੧੭ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਨਾ ਉੱਥੇ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਵੀਂ ਨਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਵੀਂ ਨਾ ਉਸ ਰਾਹ ਥਾਣੀ ਮੁੜੀ ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਦੀ ਤੂੰ ਗਿਆ।
18 And he said vnto him, I am a Prophet also as thou art, and an Angel spake vnto me by the worde of the Lord, saying, Bring him againe with thee into thine house, that hee may eate bread and drinke water: but he lyed vnto him.
੧੮ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਿਹਾ ਇੱਕ ਨਬੀ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਤ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਵੇ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਝੂਠ ਮਾਰਿਆ।
19 So he went againe with him, and did eate bread in his house, and dranke water.
੧੯ਸੋ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੜ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਤਾ।
20 And as they sate at the table, the worde of the Lord came vnto the Prophet, that brought him againe.
੨੦ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਮੇਜ਼ ਕੋਲ ਬੈਠ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਉਸ ਨਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਸੀ ਆਇਆ।
21 And hee cried vnto the man of God that came from Iudah, saying, Thus sayeth the Lord, Because thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the Lord, and hast not kept the commandement which the Lord thy God commanded thee,
੨੧ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਾਕ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
22 But camest backe againe, and hast eaten bread and drunke water in the place (whereof he did say vnto thee, Thou shalt eate no bread nor drinke any water) thy carkeis shall not come vnto the sepulchre of thy fathers.
੨੨ਸਗੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਨਾ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਵੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਵੀਂ ਤੂੰ ਰੋਟੀ ਵੀ ਖਾਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵੀ ਪੀਤਾ ਸੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਲੋਥ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਓ ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਜਾਏਗੀ।
23 And when he had eaten bread and drunke, he sadled him the asse, to wit, to the Prophet whome he had brought againe.
੨੩ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਅੰਨ ਜਲ ਖਾ ਪੀ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਧੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਬੀ ਲਈ ਜਿਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਸੀ ਕਾਠੀ ਪਾਈ।
24 And when hee was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slewe him, and his body was cast in the way, and the asse stoode thereby: the lion stood by the corps also.
੨੪ਜਦ ਉਹ ਤੁਰਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾੜ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਸੋ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਲੋਥ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਈ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਧਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਲੋਥ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
25 And beholde, men that passed by, sawe the carkeis cast in the way, and the lion standing by the corps: and they came and tolde it in ye towne where the olde Prophet dwelt.
੨੫ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ ਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਲੋਥ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਗੀ ਪਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਲਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ ਸੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਨਬੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਗੱਲ ਦੱਸੀ।
26 And when the Prophet that brought him backe againe from the waye, hearde thereof, hee sayde, It is the man of God, who hath bene disobedient vnto the commandement of the Lord: therefore the Lord hath deliuered him vnto the lion, which hath rent him and slayne him, according to the worde of the Lord, which hee spake vnto him.
੨੬ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਸੀ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ। ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਸ ਬਚਨ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਸੀ।
27 And he spake to his sonnes, saying, Saddle me the asse. And they sadled him.
੨੭ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਗਧੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਾਠੀ ਪਾ ਦਿਓ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
28 And he went and founde his body cast in the way, and the asse and the lion stoode by the corps: and the lion had not eaten the bodie, nor torne the asse.
੨੮ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਲੋਥ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਗੀ ਪਈ ਲੱਭੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਧਾ ਤੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਲਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਨ। ਸ਼ੇਰ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਲੋਥ ਖਾਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਗਧੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਾੜਿਆ।
29 And the Prophet tooke vp the body of the man of God, and layed it vpon the asse, and brought it againe, and the olde Prophet came to the citie, to lament and burie him.
੨੯ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੀ ਲੋਥ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਧੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਨਬੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਬਣ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਇਆ।
30 And hee layed his bodie in his owne graue, and they lamented ouer him, saying, Alas, my brother.
੩੦ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਲੋਥ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ “ਹਾਏ ਓਏ ਮੇਰਿਆ ਭਰਾਵਾ” ਆਖ ਕੇ ਵਿਰਲਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ।
31 And when he had buried him, hee spake to his sonnes, saying, When I am dead, burie ye mee also in the sepulchre, wherein the man of God is buried: lay my bones beside his bones.
੩੧ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਬ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਮਰਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਬਣਾ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਬਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਰੱਖਣੀਆਂ।
32 For that thing which he cried by the word of the Lord against the altar that is in Beth-el, and against all the houses of the hie places, which are in the cities of Samaria, shall surely come to passe.
੩੨ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਬਚਨ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਉੱਚਿਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਵਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਜੋ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
33 Howbeit after this, Ieroboam conuerted not from his wicked way, but turned againe, and made of the lowest of the people Priests of the hie places. Who would, might consecrate him selfe, and be of the Priestes of the hie places.
੩੩ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਵੀ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਮੁੜਿਆ ਸਗੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਜਾਜਕ ਫੇਰ ਰੱਖ ਲਏ। ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹਿਆ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਥਾਪ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉੱਚਿਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇ।
34 And this thing turned to sinne vnto the house of Ieroboam, euen to roote it out, and destroy it from the face of the earth.
੩੪ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦਾ ਪਾਪ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਿਟਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਣਿਆ।
