1 Kings 13
1 And beholde, there came a man of God out of Iudah (by the commandement of the Lord) vnto Beth-el, and Ieroboam stoode by the altar to offer incense.
Und siehe, ein Mann Gottes kam aus Judah durch das Wort Jehovahs nach Bethel, und Jerobeam stand am Altare, zu räuchern.
2 And he cryed against the altar by the comandement of the Lord, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the Lord, Beholde, a child shalbe borne vnto the house of Dauid, Iosiah by name, and vpon thee shall he sacrifice the Priestes of the hie places that burne incense vpon thee, and they shall burne mens bones vpon thee.
Und er rief wider den Altar durch das Wort Jehovahs und sprach: Altar! Altar! so spricht Jehovah: Siehe, ein Sohn wird geboren dem Hause Davids, Joschijahu ist sein Name, und der opfert auf dir die Priester der Opferhöhen, die auf dir räuchern, und Gebeine von Menschen werden sie auf dir verbrennen.
3 And he gaue a signe the same time, saying, This is the signe, that the Lord hath spoken, Behold, the altar shall rent, and the ashes that are vpon it, shall fall out.
Und er gab an selbigem Tage ein Wahrzeichen und sprach: Dies ist das Wahrzeichen, das Jehovah geredet hat: Siehe, der Altar wird zerrissen und die Fettasche darauf verschüttet werden.
4 And when the King had heard the saying of the man of God, which he had cryed against the altar in Beth-el, Ieroboam stretched out his hand from the altar, saying, Lay holde on him: but his hande which he put foorth against him, dryed vp, and he could not pull it in againe to him.
Und es geschah, wie der König das Wort des Mannes Gottes hörte, das er wider den Altar in Bethel ausrief; da reckte Jerobeam vom Altare seine Hand aus und sprach: Fasset ihn! Und es verdorrte seine Hand, die er wider ihn ausgereckt, und er vermochte nicht, sie an sich zurückzuziehen.
5 The altar also claue asunder, and the ashes fell out from the altar, according to the signe, which the man of God had giuen by the commandement of the Lord.
Und der Altar zerriß und die Fettasche ward verschüttet vom Altar, nach dem Wahrzeichen, das der Mann Gottes gab durch das Wort Jehovahs.
6 Then the King answered, and saide vnto the man of God, I beseeche thee, pray vnto ye Lord thy God, and make intercession for me, that mine hand may bee restored vnto me. And the man of God besought the Lord, and the Kings hand was restored, and became as it was afore.
Und der König antwortete und sprach zu dem Manne Gottes: Flehe doch an das Angesicht Jehovahs, deines Gottes, und bete für mich, daß meine Hand zu mir zurückkomme; und der Mann Gottes flehte an das Angesicht Jehovahs, und die Hand des Königs kam zurück zu ihm und ward wie früher.
7 Then the King sayde vnto the man of God, Come home with mee, that thou mayest dyne, and I will giue thee a reward.
Und der König redete zu dem Manne Gottes: Komm mit mir ins Haus und labe dich, und ich will dir eine Gabe geben.
8 But the man of God saide vnto the King, If thou wouldest giue me halfe thine house, I would not goe in with thee, neither woulde I eate bread nor drinke water in this place.
Und der Mann Gottes sprach zu dem Könige: Wenn du mir die Hälfte deines Hauses gibst, so komme ich nicht mit dir und esse kein Brot und trinke kein Wasser an diesem Orte.
9 For so was it charged mee by the worde of the Lord, saying, Eate no bread nor drinke water, nor turne againe by the same way that thou camest.
Denn so ward mir geboten durch das Wort Jehovahs und gesagt: Du sollst nicht essen Brot und nicht Wasser trinken und nicht zurückkehren auf dem Wege, den du gegangen bist.
10 So he went another way and returned not by the way that he came to Beth-el.
Und er ging einen anderen Weg und kehrte nicht zurück auf dem Wege, auf dem er nach Bethel gekommen war.
11 And an olde Prophet dwelt in Beth-el, and his sonnes came and tolde him all ye woorkes, that the man of God had done that day in Beth-el, and the wordes which he had spoken vnto the King, tolde they their father.
Und es wohnte ein alter Prophet in Bethel. Zu dem kam sein Sohn und erzählte ihm all das Tun, das der Mann Gottes heute in Bethel getan; die Worte, die er zum König geredet, die erzählten sie ihrem Vater.
12 And their father sayde vnto them, What way went he? and his sonnes shewed him what waye the man of God went, which came from Iudah.
Und ihr Vater redete zu ihnen: Welchen Weg ist er gegangen? Seine Söhne aber hatten den Weg gesehen, den der Mann Gottes, der aus Judah gekommen war, ging.
13 And hee saide vnto his sonnes, Saddle mee the asse. Who sadled him the asse, and hee rode thereon,
Und er sprach zu seinen Söhnen: Sattelt mir den Esel! Und sie sattelten ihm den Esel, und er ritt darauf.
14 And went after the man of God, and found him sitting vnder an oke: and he saide vnto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Iudah? And he sayd, Yea.
Und er ging dem Manne Gottes nach und fand ihn sitzend unter der Eiche und sprach zu ihm: Bist du der Mann Gottes, der aus Judah gekommen ist? Und er sprach: Ich bin es.
15 Then he said vnto him, Come home with me, and eate bread.
Und er sprach zu ihm: Komm mit mir nach Haus und iß Brot.
16 But he answered, I may not returne with thee, nor go in with thee, neither wil I eate bread nor drinke water with thee in this place.
Und er sprach: Ich vermag nicht mit dir zurückzukehren und mit dir zu kommen und esse kein Brot und trinke kein Wasser mit dir an diesem Ort.
17 For it was charged me by the word of the Lord, saying, Thou shalt eate no bread, nor drinke water there, nor turne againe to goe by the way that thou wentest.
Denn das Wort war an mich durch das Wort Jehovahs: Du sollst kein Brot essen und kein Wasser allda trinken, du sollst nicht zurückkehren, auf dem Wege zu gehen, auf dem du gegangen bist.
18 And he said vnto him, I am a Prophet also as thou art, and an Angel spake vnto me by the worde of the Lord, saying, Bring him againe with thee into thine house, that hee may eate bread and drinke water: but he lyed vnto him.
Und er sprach zu ihm: Auch ich bin ein Prophet wie du, und ein Engel hat zu mir geredet durch Jehovahs Wort und gesprochen: Bringe ihn mit dir zurück nach deinem Haus, daß er Brot esse und Wasser trinke. Aber er täuschte ihn.
19 So he went againe with him, and did eate bread in his house, and dranke water.
Und er kehrte zurück mit ihm und aß Brot in seinem Haus und trank Wasser.
20 And as they sate at the table, the worde of the Lord came vnto the Prophet, that brought him againe.
Und es geschah, da sie am Tische saßen, da erging das Wort Jehovahs zu dem Propheten, der ihn zurückgebracht hatte.
21 And hee cried vnto the man of God that came from Iudah, saying, Thus sayeth the Lord, Because thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the Lord, and hast not kept the commandement which the Lord thy God commanded thee,
Und er rief dem Manne Gottes, der aus Judah gekommen war, zu und sprach: So spricht Jehovah: Weil du dem Munde Jehovahs widerspenstig geworden bist und nicht gehalten hast das Gebot, das dir Jehovah, dein Gott, geboten hatte;
22 But camest backe againe, and hast eaten bread and drunke water in the place (whereof he did say vnto thee, Thou shalt eate no bread nor drinke any water) thy carkeis shall not come vnto the sepulchre of thy fathers.
Und du zurückkehrtest und Brot aßest und Wasser trankest an dem Orte, von dem Ich zu dir geredet: Du sollst kein Brot essen und kein Wasser trinken, darum soll dein Leichnam nicht zum Grabe deiner Väter kommen.
23 And when he had eaten bread and drunke, he sadled him the asse, to wit, to the Prophet whome he had brought againe.
Und es geschah, nachdem er Brot gegessen und nachdem er getrunken hatte, da sattelte man dem Propheten, den er zurückgeführt hatte, den Esel.
24 And when hee was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slewe him, and his body was cast in the way, and the asse stoode thereby: the lion stood by the corps also.
Und er ging hin, und ein Löwe fand ihn auf dem Wege und tötete ihn, und sein Leichnam ward hingeworfen auf dem Wege, und der Esel stand neben ihm, und der Löwe stand neben dem Leichnam.
25 And beholde, men that passed by, sawe the carkeis cast in the way, and the lion standing by the corps: and they came and tolde it in ye towne where the olde Prophet dwelt.
Und siehe, Männer gingen vorüber und sahen den Leichnam hingeworfen am Wege und den Löwen neben dem Leichnam stehen, und sie kamen und redeten davon in der Stadt, in welcher der alte Prophet wohnte.
26 And when the Prophet that brought him backe againe from the waye, hearde thereof, hee sayde, It is the man of God, who hath bene disobedient vnto the commandement of the Lord: therefore the Lord hath deliuered him vnto the lion, which hath rent him and slayne him, according to the worde of the Lord, which hee spake vnto him.
Und der Prophet, der ihn zurückgeführt vom Wege, hörte es, und er sprach: Dies ist der Mann Gottes, der dem Munde Gottes widerspenstig wurde, und Jehovah gab ihn dem Löwen hin, und der zerbrach ihn und tötete ihn, nach dem Worte Jehovahs, das Er zu ihm redete.
27 And he spake to his sonnes, saying, Saddle me the asse. And they sadled him.
Und er redete zu seinen Söhnen und sprach: Sattelt mir den Esel, und sie sattelten ihn.
28 And he went and founde his body cast in the way, and the asse and the lion stoode by the corps: and the lion had not eaten the bodie, nor torne the asse.
Und er ging hin und fand seinen Leichnam hingeworfen am Wege, und der Esel und der Löwe standen neben dem Leichnam. Der Löwe hatte den Leichnam nicht gefressen und den Esel nicht zerrissen.
29 And the Prophet tooke vp the body of the man of God, and layed it vpon the asse, and brought it againe, and the olde Prophet came to the citie, to lament and burie him.
Und der Prophet hob den Leichnam des Mannes Gottes auf und legte ihn hin auf den Esel und brachte ihn zurück, und er kam zur Stadt des alten Propheten, um ihn zu klagen und ihn zu begraben.
30 And hee layed his bodie in his owne graue, and they lamented ouer him, saying, Alas, my brother.
Und er legte seinen Leichnam hin in sein Grab, und sie klagten über ihn: Wehe, mein Bruder!
31 And when he had buried him, hee spake to his sonnes, saying, When I am dead, burie ye mee also in the sepulchre, wherein the man of God is buried: lay my bones beside his bones.
Und es geschah, nachdem er ihn begraben hatte, da sprach er zu seinen Söhnen und sagte: Wenn ich sterbe, so begrabet mich in dem Grabe, darin der Mann Gottes begraben ist, und legt meine Gebeine hin neben seine Gebeine.
32 For that thing which he cried by the word of the Lord against the altar that is in Beth-el, and against all the houses of the hie places, which are in the cities of Samaria, shall surely come to passe.
Denn es wird geschehen, das Wort, das er durch Jehovahs Wort wider den Altar in Bethel und wider alle die Häuser der Opferhöhen in den Städten Samariens gerufen hat.
33 Howbeit after this, Ieroboam conuerted not from his wicked way, but turned againe, and made of the lowest of the people Priests of the hie places. Who would, might consecrate him selfe, and be of the Priestes of the hie places.
Nach dieser Geschichte kehrte Jerobeam nicht von seinem bösen Wege zurück, sondern kehrte zurück und machte aus den Enden des Volkes Priester der Opferhöhen; nach seiner Lust füllte er ihre Hand, daß sie Priester der Opferhöhen wurden.
34 And this thing turned to sinne vnto the house of Ieroboam, euen to roote it out, and destroy it from the face of the earth.
Und diese Sache ward zur Sünde des Hauses Jerobeams, so daß es vom Boden weggeschafft und vernichtet wurde.
