1 Kings 1
1 Now when King Dauid was olde, and striken in yeeres, they couered him with clothes, but no heate came vnto him.
Und der König David war alt, zu Tagen gekommen, und sie bedeckten ihn mit Kleidern, aber er wurde nicht warm.
2 Wherefore his seruants saide vnto him, Let there be sought for my lord ye King a yong virgin, and let her stand before the king, and cherish him: and let her lie in thy bosome, that my lord the King may get heate.
Und seine Knechte sprachen zu ihm: Lasset sie suchen meinem Herrn, dem König, ein Mädchen, eine Jungfrau, daß sie vor dem König stehe und seine Pflegerin sei, und sie soll an deinem Busen liegen, auf daß mein Herr, der König, warm werde.
3 So they sought for a faire young maide thoroughout all the coastes of Israel, and founde one Abishag a Shunamite, and brought her to the king.
Und sie suchten ein schönes Mädchen in aller Grenze Israels und fanden Abischag, die Schunamitin, und brachten sie zum König herein.
4 And the maid was exceeding faire, and cherished the king, and ministred to him, but the King knew her not.
Und das Mädchen war sehr schön, und sie ward Pflegerin des Königs und bediente ihn, aber der König erkannte sie nicht.
5 Then Adoniiah the sonne of Haggith exalted himselfe, saying, I will be king. And he gate him charets and horsemen, and fiftie men to run before him.
Und Adonjah, der Sohn der Chaggith, erhob sich und sprach: Ich will König werden; und schaffte sich Streitwagen und Reiter an, und fünfzig Männer liefen vor ihm her.
6 And his father would not displease him from his childehood, to say, Why hast thou done so? And hee was a very goodly man, and his mother bare him next after Absalom.
Sein Vater aber wollte ihm nicht wehe tun in seinen Tagen, indem er sagte: Warum tust du also?, und er war auch sehr gut von Gestalt, und er ward ihm nach Absalom geboren.
7 And he tooke counsel of Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah, and of Abiathar the Priest: and they helped forward Adoniiah.
Und er hatte seine Worte mit Joab, dem Sohne Zerujahs, und mit Abjathar, dem Priester; und sie standen dem Adonjah bei.
8 But Zadok the Priest, and Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada, and Nathan the Prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the men of might, which were with Dauid, were not with Adoniiah.
Aber Zadok, der Priester, und Benajahu, Sohn Jehojadas, und Nathan, der Prophet, und Schimei und Rei und die Helden Davids, waren nicht mit Adonjahu.
9 Then Adoniiah sacrificed sheepe and oxen, and fat cattel by the stone of Zoheleth, which is by En-rogel, and called all his brethren the kings sonnes, and al the men of Iudah ye Kings seruants,
Und Adonjahu opferte Kleinvieh und Rinder und Mastvieh beim Steine Socheleth neben der Quelle Rogel und rief alle seine Brüder, die Söhne des Königs, und alle Männer Judahs, die Knechte des Königs;
10 But Nathan the Prophet, and Benaiah, and the mightie men, and Salomon his brother hee called not.
Aber Nathan, den Propheten, und Benajahu und die Helden und Salomoh, seinen Bruder, rief er nicht dazu.
11 Wherefore Nathan spake vnto Bath-sheba the mother of Salomon, saying, Hast thou not heard, that Adoniiah ye sonne of Haggith doeth reigne, and Dauid our lord knoweth it not?
Und Nathan sprach zu Bath-Scheba, der Mutter Salomohs, und sagte: Hast du nicht gehört, daß Adonjahu, der Sohn der Chaggith, König geworden ist, und unser Herr, David, es nicht weiß?
12 Now therefore come, and I will now giue thee counsell, howe to saue thine owne life, and the life of thy sonne Salomon.
Und nun komm, ich rate dir doch einen Rat, wie du deine Seele und deines Sohnes Salomoh Seele retten magst.
13 Go, and get thee in vnto King Dauid, and say vnto him, Didest not thou, my lorde, O King, sweare vnto thine handmaide, saying, Assuredly Salomon thy sonne shall reigne after me, and he shall sit vpon my throne? why is then Adoniiah King?
Gehe hin und komme hinein zum König David und sprich zu ihm: Hast du nicht, mein Herr König, deiner Magd geschworen und gesagt: Salomoh, dein Sohn, soll König sein nach mir, und er soll auf meinem Throne sitzen, und warum ist Adonjahu König?
14 Behold, while thou yet talkest there with the King, I also will come in after thee, and confirme thy wordes.
Siehe, während du allda noch mit dem König redest, will ich hinter dir hineinkommen und deine Worte ausfüllen.
15 So Bath-sheba went in vnto the King into the chamber, and the King was verie olde, and Abishag the Shunammite ministred vnto ye King.
Und Bath-Scheba ging hinein zum König in die Kammer, und der König war sehr alt, und Abischag, die Schunamitin, bediente den König.
16 And Bath-sheba bowed and made obeisance vnto the King. And the King saide, What is thy matter?
Und Bath-Scheba verneigte sich und fiel vor dem Könige nieder, und der König sprach: Was ist dir?
17 And shee answered him, My lorde, thou swarest by the Lord thy God vnto thine handmaide, saying, Assuredly Salomon thy sonne shall reigne after me, and he shall sit vpon my throne.
Und sie sprach zu ihm: Mein Herr, du hast bei Jehovah, deinem Gotte, deiner Magd geschworen: Salomoh, dein Sohn, soll König sein nach mir, und er soll sitzen auf meinem Thron!
18 And beholde, nowe is Adoniiah king, and now, my lord, O King, thou knowest it not.
Nun aber, siehe, Adonjah ist König geworden, und nun, mein Herr, der König, du weißt es nicht.
19 And he hath offred many oxen, and fatte cattel, and sheepe, and hath called all the sonnes of the King, and Abiathar the Priest, and Ioab the captaine of the hoste: but Salomon thy seruant hath he not bidden.
Und er hat Ochsen und Mastvieh und Kleinvieh in Menge geopfert, und alle Söhne des Königs und Abjathar, den Priester, und Joab, den Obersten des Heeres, gerufen, aber Salomoh, deinen Knecht, hat er nicht gerufen.
20 And thou, my lorde, O King, knowest that the eyes of all Israel are on thee, that thou shouldest tell them, who shoulde sit on the throne of my lord the King after him.
Du aber, mein Herr König, auf dir sind die Augen von ganz Israel, auf daß du ihnen ansagst, wer auf dem Throne meines Herrn, des Königs, nach ihm sitzen soll.
21 For els when my lord the King shall sleepe with his fathers, I and my sonne Salomon shalbe reputed vile.
Und es wird geschehen, wenn mein Herr, der König, sich zu seinen Vätern legt, so werden ich und mein Sohn Salomoh die Sünder sein.
22 And lo, while she yet talked with the King, Nathan also the Prophet came in.
Und siehe, sie redete noch mit dem König, und es kam Nathan, der Prophet, herein.
23 And they tolde the King, saying, Beholde, Nathan the Prophet. And when he was come in to the King, hee made obeisance before the King vpon his face to the ground.
Und sie sagten dem König an und sprachen: Siehe, Nathan, der Prophet, ist da. Und er kam hinein vor den König und fiel nieder vor dem König auf sein Antlitz zur Erde.
24 And Nathan saide, My lorde, O King, hast thou said, Adoniiah shall reigne after mee, and he shall sit vpon my throne?
Und Nathan sprach: Mein Herr König, hast du gesprochen: Adonjahu soll König sein nach mir, und er soll auf meinem Throne sitzen?
25 For hee is gone downe this day, and hath slaine many oxen, and fat cattel, and sheepe, and hath called al the Kings sonnes, and the captaines of the hoste, and Abiathar the Priest: and behold, they eate and drinke before him, and say, God saue King Adoniiah.
Denn er ist heute hinabgegangen und hat Ochsen und Mastvieh und Kleinvieh in Menge geopfert, und alle Söhne des Königs, und die Obersten des Heeres und Abjathar, den Priester, gerufen, und siehe, sie essen und trinken vor ihm und sagen: Es lebe König Adonjahu!
26 But me thy seruant, and Zadok the Priest, and Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada, and thy seruant Salomon hath he not called.
Aber mich, deinen Knecht, und Zadok, den Priester, und Benajahu, den Sohn Jehojadas, und Salomoh, deinen Knecht, hat er nicht gerufen.
27 Is this thing done by my lord the King, and thou hast not shewed it vnto thy seruant, who should sitte on the throne of my lorde the King after him?
Ist solches von meinem Herrn, dem Könige, aus geschehen und du hast es deinen Knecht nicht wissen lassen, wer auf dem Throne meines Herrn, des Königs, nach ihm sitzen soll?
28 Then King Dauid answered, and saide, Call me Bath-sheba. And shee came into ye Kings presence, and stoode before the King.
Und der König David antwortete und sprach: Rufet mir Bath-Scheba. Und sie kam herein vor den König und stand vor des Königs Angesicht.
29 And the King sware, saying, As the Lord liueth, who hath redeemed my soule out of all aduersitie,
Und der König schwur und sprach: Beim Leben Jehovahs, Der meine Seele aus aller Drangsal eingelöst hat,
30 That as I sware vnto thee by the Lord God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Salomon thy sonne shall reigne after me, and hee shall sit vpon my throne in my place, so will I certainely doe this day.
Wie ich dir bei Jehovah, dem Gott Israels, geschworen und gesagt: Salomoh, dein Sohn, soll nach mir König sein, und er soll auf meinem Throne sitzen an meiner Stelle: so will ich an diesem Tage tun!
31 Then Bath-sheba bowed her face to the earth, and did reuerence vnto the King, and said, God saue my lord King Dauid for euer.
Und Bath-Scheba verneigte sich mit dem Antlitz zur Erde und fiel nieder vor dem König und sprach: Es lebe mein Herr, der König David, in Ewigkeit.
32 And King Dauid saide, Call mee Zadok the Priest, and Nathan the Prophet, and Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada. And they came before the King.
Und der König David sprach: Rufet mir Zadok, den Priester, und Nathan, den Propheten und Benajahu, den Sohn Jehojadas, und sie kamen hinein vor den König.
33 Then the King said vnto them, Take with you the seruants of your lorde, and cause Salomon my sonne to ride vpon mine owne mule, and carie him downe to Gihon.
Und der König sprach zu ihnen: Nehmt mit euch die Knechte eures Herrn, und lasset Salomoh, meinen Sohn, auf meinem Maultier reiten, und bringt ihn hinab nach Gichon.
34 And let Zadok the Priest and Nathan the Prophet anoint him there King ouer Israel, and blowe ye the trumpet, and say, God saue king Salomon.
Und allda salbe ihn Zadok, der Priester, und Nathan, der Prophet, zum König über Israel; und stoßet in die Posaune und sprechet: Es lebe der König Salomoh!
35 Then come vp after him, that hee may come and sit vpon my throne: and hee shall bee King in my steade: for I haue appointed him to be prince ouer Israel and ouer Iudah.
Und ziehet herauf hinter ihm, und er komme herein und sitze auf meinem Thron, und er soll König sein an meiner Stelle. Und ihn habe ich über Israel und über Judah zum Führer entboten.
36 Then Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada answered the King, and said, So be it, and the Lord God of my lord the King ratifie it.
Und Benajahu, der Sohn Jehojadas, antwortete dem Könige und sprach: Amen! Also spreche Jehovah, der Gott meines Herrn, des Königs!
37 As the Lord hath bene with my lorde the King, so be he with Salomon, and exalt his throne aboue the throne of my lorde king Dauid.
Wie Jehovah war mit meinem Herrn, dem König, also möge Er sein mit Salomoh, und seinen Thron noch größer machen als den Thron meines Herrn, des Königs David.
38 So Zadok the Priest, and Nathan the Prophet, and Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites went downe and caused Salomon to ride vpon king Dauids mule, and brought him to Gihon.
Und Zadok, der Priester, und Nathan, der Prophet, und Benajahu, der Sohn Jehojadas, und die Krethi und Plethi zogen hinab, und sie ließen Salomoh auf dem Maultier des Königs David reiten und ließen ihn hinab nach Gichon ziehen.
39 And Zadok the Priest tooke an horne of oyle out of the Tabernacle, and anointed Salomon: and they blewe the trumpet, and all the people said, God saue king Salomon.
Und Zadok, der Priester, nahm das Horn mit dem Öl aus dem Zelte und salbte Salomoh; und sie stießen in die Posaune, und alles Volk sprach: Es lebe der König Salomoh!
40 And all the people came vp after him, and the people piped with pipes, and reioyced with great ioye, so that the earth rang with the sound of them.
Und alles Volk zog nun hinauf, hinter ihm her, und alles Volk flötete mit Flöten und war froh mit großer Fröhlichkeit, so daß die Erde von ihrem Schalle erdröhnte.
41 And Adoniiah and all the ghestes that were with him, heard it: (and they had made an ende of eating) and when Ioab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said, What meaneth this noise and vprore in the citie?
Und Adonjahu und alle Geladenen, die bei ihm waren, hörten es, und sie hatten das Essen beendigt. Und Joab hörte den Schall der Posaune und sprach: Was soll der Schall der dröhnenden Stadt?
42 And as he yet spake, beholde, Ionathan the sonne of Abiathar the Priest came: and Adoniiah said, Come in: for thou art a worthie man, and bringest good tidings.
Noch redete er, und siehe, da kam Jonathan, der Sohn Abjathars, des Priesters, und Adonjahu sprach: Komm herein, denn du bist ein tapferer Mann und bringst uns gute Kunde.
43 And Ionathan answered, and said to Adoniiah, Verely our lord King Dauid hath made Salomon King.
Und Jonathan antwortete und sprach zu Adonjahu: Ach! unser Herr, der König David, hat Salomoh zum König gemacht.
44 And the King hath sent with him Zadok the Priest, and Nathan the Prophet, and Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and they haue caused him to ride vpon the Kings mule.
Und der König hat mit ihm Zadok, den Priester, und Nathan, den Propheten, und Benajahu, den Sohn Jehojadas, und die Krethi und Plethi gesandt, und sie ließen ihn reiten auf dem Maultier des Königs.
45 And Zadok the Priest, and Nathan ye Prophet haue anointed him King in Gihon: and they are gone vp from thence with ioy, and the citie is moued: this is the noise that ye haue heard.
Und Zadok, der Priester, und Nathan, der Prophet, haben ihn am Gichon zum König gesalbt und sind von da fröhlich heraufgezogen, und die Stadt dröhnte, das ist der Schall, den ihr gehört habt.
46 And Salomon also sitteth on the throne of the kingdome.
Und Salomoh sitzt auch auf dem Throne des Königreichs.
47 And moreouer the Kings seruantes came to blesse our lord King Dauid, saying, God make the name of Salomon more famous then thy name, and exalt his throne aboue thy throne: therefore the King worshipped vpon the bed.
Und es sind auch die Knechte des Königs hineingegangen, unseren Herrn, den König David, zu segnen, indem sie sprachen: Dein Gott mache den Namen Salomohs besser als deinen Namen und lasse seinen Thron größer werden als deinen Thron. Und der König hat sich verbeugt auf dem Lager.
48 And thus sayd the King also, Blessed bee the Lord God of Israel, who hath made one to sit on my throne this day, euen in my sight.
Und der König hat auch also gesprochen: Gesegnet sei Jehovah, der Gott Israels, Der mir heute einen gegeben hat, der auf meinem Throne sitzt, und meine Augen haben es gesehen.
49 Then all the ghestes that were with Adonijah, were afraide, and rose vp, and went euery man his way.
Und es erzitterten alle Geladenen, die bei Adonjahu waren, und standen auf und gingen, jeder Mann seines Weges.
50 And Adonijah fearing the presence of Salomon, arose and went, and tooke holde on the hornes of the altar.
Und Adonjahu fürchtete sich vor Salomoh, und er machte sich auf, ging hin und erfaßte die Hörner des Altars.
51 And one tolde Salomon, saying, Beholde, Adonijah doeth feare King Salomon: for lo, he hath caught holde on the hornes of the altar, saying, Let King Salomon sweare vnto me this day, that he will not slay his seruant with the sword.
Und es ward dem Salomoh angesagt und man sagte: Siehe, Adonjahu fürchtet sich vor dem König Salomoh, und siehe, er hat die Hörner des Altars ergriffen und spricht: Der König Salomoh schwöre mir diesen Tag, daß er seinen Knecht nicht mit dem Schwert töten will.
52 Then Salomon sayd, If he will shewe him selfe a worthy man, there shall not an heare of him fall to the earth, but if wickednes be found in him, he shall dye.
Und Salomoh sprach: Wenn er sich tapfer hält, so soll keines seiner Haare zur Erde fallen! Wird aber Böses an ihm erfunden, so soll er sterben.
53 Then King Salomon sent, and they brought him from the altar, and he came and did obeisance vnto King Salomon. And Salomon sayde vnto him, Go to thine house.
Und der König Salomoh sandte hin und sie brachten ihn vom Altare herab, und er kam herein und fiel vor dem König Salomoh nieder, und Salomoh sprach zu ihm: Gehe nach deinem Hause!
