< 1 John 4 >

1 Dearely beloued, beleeue not euery spirit, but trie the spirits whether they are of God: for many false prophets are gone out into this worlde.
Olùfẹ́, ẹ má ṣe gba gbogbo ẹ̀mí gbọ́, ṣùgbọ́n ẹ dán àwọn ẹ̀mí wò bí wọn ba ń ṣe tí Ọlọ́run, nítorí àwọn wòlíì èké púpọ̀ tí jáde lọ sínú ayé.
2 Hereby shall ye know the Spirit of God, Euery spirit which confesseth that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God.
Èyí ni ẹ ó fi mọ Ẹ̀mí Ọlọ́run. Gbogbo ẹ̀mí tí ó ba jẹ́wọ́ pé, Jesu Kristi wá nínú ara, ti Ọlọ́run ni.
3 And euery spirit that confesseth not that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not of God: but this is the spirit of Antichrist, of whome ye haue heard, how that he should come, and nowe already he is in this world.
Gbogbo ẹ̀mí tí kò si jẹ́wọ́ pé Jesu Kristi wà nínú ara, kì í ṣe tí Ọlọ́run, èyí sì ni ẹ̀mí aṣòdì sí Kristi náà, tí ẹ̀yin ti gbọ́ pé ó ń bọ̀, àti nísinsin yìí ó sì tí de sínú ayé.
4 Litle children, ye are of God, and haue ouercome them: for greater is he that is in you, then he that is in this world.
Ẹ̀yin ọmọ mi, ti Ọlọ́run ni yín, ẹ̀yin sì tí ṣẹ́gun wọn, nítorí ẹni tí ń bẹ nínú yin tóbi jú ẹni tí ń bẹ nínú ayé lọ.
5 They are of this worlde, therefore speake they of this world, and this world heareth them.
Tí ayé ni wọ́n, nítorí náà ni wọn ṣe ń sọ̀rọ̀ bí ẹni ti ayé, ayé sì ń gbọ́ tí wọn.
6 We are of God, he that knoweth God, heareth vs: he that is not of God, heareth vs not. Heereby knowe wee the spirit of trueth, and the spirit of errour.
Ti Ọlọ́run ni àwa: ẹni tí ó bá mọ Ọlọ́run, ó ń gbọ́ tiwa; ẹni tí kì í ṣe ti Ọlọ́run kò ni gbọ́ ti wa. Nípa èyí ni àwa mọ ẹ̀mí òtítọ́, àti ẹ̀mí èké.
7 Beloued, let vs loue one another: for loue commeth of God, and euery one that loueth, is borne of God, and knoweth God.
Olùfẹ́, ẹ jẹ́ kí a fẹ́ràn ara wa, nítorí ìfẹ́ ti ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run wá; àti gbogbo ẹni tí ó bá ní ìfẹ́, a bí i nípa ti Ọlọ́run, ó sì mọ Ọlọ́run.
8 Hee that loueth not, knoweth not God: for God is loue.
Ẹni tí kò bá ní ìfẹ́ kò mọ Ọlọ́run: nítorí pé ìfẹ́ ni Ọlọ́run.
9 Herein was that loue of God made manifest amongst vs, because God sent that his onely begotten sonne into this world, that we might liue through him.
Nípa èyí ni a gbé fi ìfẹ́ Ọlọ́run hàn nínú wa, nítorí tí Ọlọ́run rán ọmọ bíbí rẹ̀ nìkan ṣoṣo sì ayé, kí àwa lè yè nípasẹ̀ rẹ̀.
10 Herein is that loue, not that we loued God, but that he loued vs, and sent his Sonne to be a reconciliation for our sinnes.
Nínú èyí ni ìfẹ́ wà, kì í ṣe pé àwa fẹ́ Ọlọ́run, ṣùgbọ́n òun fẹ́ wá, ó sì rán Ọmọ rẹ̀ láti jẹ́ ètùtù fún ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wa.
11 Beloued, if God so loued vs, we ought also to loue one another.
Olùfẹ́, bí Ọlọ́run bá fẹ́ wa báyìí, ó yẹ kí a fẹ́ràn ara wa pẹ̀lú.
12 No man hath seene God at any time. If we loue one another, God dwelleth in vs, and his loue is perfect in vs.
Ẹnikẹ́ni kò ri Ọlọ́run nígbà kan rí. Bí àwa bá fẹ́ràn ara wa, Ọlọ́run ń gbé inú wa, a sì mú ìfẹ́ rẹ̀ pé nínú wa.
13 Hereby know we, that we dwell in him, and he in vs: because he hath giuen vs of his Spirit.
Nípa èyí ni àwa mọ̀ pé àwa ń gbé inú rẹ̀, àti Òun nínú wa, nítorí tí ó ti fi Ẹ̀mí rẹ̀ fún wa.
14 And we haue seene, and doe testifie, that the Father sent that Sonne to be ye Sauiour of the world.
Àwa tí rí, a sì jẹ́rìí pé Baba rán Ọmọ rẹ̀ láti jẹ́ Olùgbàlà fún aráyé.
15 Whosoeuer confesseth that Iesus is the Sone of God, in him dwelleth God, and he in God.
Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá jẹ́wọ́ pé Jesu Ọmọ Ọlọ́run ni, Ọlọ́run ń gbé inú rẹ̀, àti òun nínú Ọlọ́run.
16 And we haue knowen, and beleeued ye loue that God hath in vs. God is loue, and he that dwelleth in loue, dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Báyìí ni àwa mọ̀, tí a sì gba ìfẹ́ tí Ọlọ́run ní sí wa gbọ́. Ìfẹ́ ni Ọlọ́run; ẹni tí ó bá sì ń gbé inú ìfẹ́, ó ń gbé inú Ọlọ́run, àti Ọlọ́run nínú rẹ̀.
17 Herein is that loue perfect in vs, that we should haue boldnes in the day of iudgement: for as he is, euen so are we in this world.
Nínú èyí ni a mú ìfẹ́ tí ó wà nínú wa pé, kí àwa bà á lè ni ìgboyà ní ọjọ́ ìdájọ́: nítorí pé bí òun tí rí, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni àwa sì rí ni ayé yìí.
18 There is no feare in loue, but perfect loue casteth out feare: for feare hath painefulnesse: and he that feareth, is not perfect in loue.
Ìbẹ̀rù kò sí nínú ìfẹ́; ṣùgbọ́n ìfẹ́ tí ó pé ń lé ìbẹ̀rù jáde; nítorí tí ìbẹ̀rù ni ìyà nínú. Ẹni tí ó bẹ̀rù kò pé nínú ìfẹ́.
19 We loue him, because he loued vs first.
Àwa fẹ́ràn rẹ̀ nítorí òun ni ó kọ́ fẹ́ràn wa.
20 If any man say, I loue God, and hate his brother, he is a liar: for how can he that loueth not his brother whom he hath seene, loue God whom he hath not seene?
Bí ẹnikẹ́ni bá wí pé, “Èmi fẹ́ràn Ọlọ́run,” tí ó sì kórìíra arákùnrin rẹ̀, èké ni: nítorí ẹni tí kò fẹ́ràn arákùnrin rẹ̀ tí ó rí, báwo ni yóò tí ṣe lè fẹ́ràn Ọlọ́run tí òun kò rí?
21 And this commandement haue we of him, that he that loueth God, should loue his brother also.
Òfin yìí ni àwa sì rí gbà láti ọwọ́ rẹ̀ wá, pé ẹni tí ó bá fẹ́ràn Ọlọ́run kí ó fẹ́ràn arákùnrin rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú.
