1 John 4

1 Dearely beloued, beleeue not euery spirit, but trie the spirits whether they are of God: for many false prophets are gone out into this worlde.

പ്രിയരേ, എല്ലാ ആത്മാക്കളെയും വിശ്വസിക്കരുത്. കാരണം, അനേകം വ്യാജപ്രവാചകർ ലോകത്തിൽ വ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ആ ആത്മാക്കൾ ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ളവ ആണോ എന്നു പരിശോധിക്കുക.

2 Hereby shall ye know the Spirit of God, Euery spirit which confesseth that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God.

ദൈവാത്മാവിനെ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇങ്ങനെ തിരിച്ചറിയാം: യേശുക്രിസ്തു സമ്പൂർണമനുഷ്യനായി അവതരിച്ചു എന്ന് അംഗീകരിക്കുന്ന ഏതൊരാത്മാവും ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ളതാകുന്നു.

3 And euery spirit that confesseth not that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not of God: but this is the spirit of Antichrist, of whome ye haue heard, how that he should come, and nowe already he is in this world.

യേശുവിനെ അംഗീകരിക്കാത്ത ഒരാത്മാവും ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഉള്ളതല്ല; വരുന്നെന്നു നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടിട്ടുള്ള എതിർക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ആത്മാവാണത്. അത് ലോകത്തിൽ ഇപ്പോഴേ ഉണ്ട്.

4 Litle children, ye are of God, and haue ouercome them: for greater is he that is in you, then he that is in this world.

കുഞ്ഞുമക്കളേ, നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ളവരാണ്; നിങ്ങൾ വ്യാജപ്രവാചകന്മാരെ പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; കാരണം, നിങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം ലോകത്തിലുള്ളവനെക്കാൾ ശക്തനാണ്.

5 They are of this worlde, therefore speake they of this world, and this world heareth them.

ലോകത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ളവർ ആയതിനാൽ അവർ ലൗകികമായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നു. ലോകം അവരെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നു.

6 We are of God, he that knoweth God, heareth vs: he that is not of God, heareth vs not. Heereby knowe wee the spirit of trueth, and the spirit of errour.

ഞങ്ങൾ ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ളവരാണ്; ദൈവത്തെ അറിയുന്നവരെല്ലാം ഞങ്ങളെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നു. ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്നല്ലാത്തവർ ആരും ഞങ്ങളെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല. സത്യാത്മാവിനെയും വ്യാജാത്മാവിനെയും ഇങ്ങനെയാണ് നാം തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നത്.

7 Beloued, let vs loue one another: for loue commeth of God, and euery one that loueth, is borne of God, and knoweth God.

പ്രിയരേ, നമുക്ക് പരസ്പരം സ്നേഹിക്കാം; സ്നേഹം ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ളതാണ്. സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരെല്ലാം ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്നു ജനിച്ചവരും ദൈവത്തെ അറിഞ്ഞവരും ആണ്.

8 Hee that loueth not, knoweth not God: for God is loue.

സ്നേഹിക്കാത്തവർ ദൈവത്തെ അറിയുന്നില്ല; ദൈവം സ്നേഹമാണ്.

9 Herein was that loue of God made manifest amongst vs, because God sent that his onely begotten sonne into this world, that we might liue through him.

നാം ദൈവപുത്രനിലൂടെ ജീവൻ പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിനാണ് ദൈവം തന്റെ നിസ്തുലപുത്രനെ ലോകത്തിലേക്ക് അയച്ചത്. ഇങ്ങനെ ദൈവം തന്റെ സ്നേഹം നമുക്കു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി.

10 Herein is that loue, not that we loued God, but that he loued vs, and sent his Sonne to be a reconciliation for our sinnes.

ഇതാണ് സാക്ഷാൽ സ്നേഹം: നാം ദൈവത്തെ സ്നേഹിച്ചതല്ല, അവിടന്നു നമ്മെ സ്നേഹിച്ച് അവിടത്തെ പുത്രനെ നമ്മുടെ പാപനിവാരണയാഗത്തിനായി അയച്ചു.

11 Beloued, if God so loued vs, we ought also to loue one another.

പ്രിയരേ, ദൈവം നമ്മെ സ്നേഹിച്ചത് ഇപ്രകാരമാണെങ്കിൽ നാമും പരസ്പരം സ്നേഹിക്കാൻ കടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

12 No man hath seene God at any time. If we loue one another, God dwelleth in vs, and his loue is perfect in vs.

ദൈവത്തെ ആരും ഒരിക്കലും കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല; എന്നാൽ നാം പരസ്പരം സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ദൈവം നമ്മിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു; അവിടത്തെ സ്നേഹം നമ്മിൽ സമ്പൂർണമാകുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

13 Hereby know we, that we dwell in him, and he in vs: because he hath giuen vs of his Spirit.

നാം ദൈവത്തിലും അവിടന്ന് നമ്മിലും വസിക്കുന്നെന്നു നമുക്കു നിശ്ചയമുണ്ട്: ദൈവം തന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ നമുക്കു നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നല്ലോ.

14 And we haue seene, and doe testifie, that the Father sent that Sonne to be ye Sauiour of the world.

പിതാവ് അവിടത്തെ പുത്രനെ ലോകരക്ഷകനായി അയച്ചത് ഞങ്ങൾ കാണുകയും സാക്ഷ്യപ്പെടുത്തുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു.

15 Whosoeuer confesseth that Iesus is the Sone of God, in him dwelleth God, and he in God.

യേശു ദൈവപുത്രൻ, എന്ന് അംഗീകരിക്കുന്നവരിൽ ദൈവം വസിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ദൈവത്തിലും വസിക്കുന്നു.

16 And we haue knowen, and beleeued ye loue that God hath in vs. God is loue, and he that dwelleth in loue, dwelleth in God, and God in him.

ദൈവം നമ്മെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നെന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുകയും വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. ദൈവം സ്നേഹമാണ്. സ്നേഹത്തിൽ വസിക്കുന്നവർ ദൈവത്തിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു. ദൈവം അവരിലും വസിക്കുന്നു.

17 Herein is that loue perfect in vs, that we should haue boldnes in the day of iudgement: for as he is, euen so are we in this world.

നാം ദൈവത്തിൽ വസിക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ നമ്മുടെ സ്നേഹം പൂർണതയിലേക്കു വളരുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ ന്യായവിധിദിവസത്തിൽ ഭയരഹിതരായി, ദൈവത്തെ ആത്മവിശ്വാസത്തോടെ അഭിമുഖീകരിക്കാൻ നമുക്ക് കഴിയും. കാരണം ഈ ലോകത്തിൽ നാം ജീവിക്കുന്നത് യേശുവിനെപ്പോലെ ആണല്ലോ.

18 There is no feare in loue, but perfect loue casteth out feare: for feare hath painefulnesse: and he that feareth, is not perfect in loue.

സ്നേഹത്തിൽ ഭയമില്ല. സമ്പൂർണസ്നേഹം ഭയത്തെ ഇല്ലാതാക്കുന്നു. കാരണം, ഭയം ശിക്ഷയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ഭയപ്പെടുന്ന വ്യക്തി സ്നേഹത്തിൽ സമ്പൂർണനല്ല.

19 We loue him, because he loued vs first.

അവിടന്ന് നമ്മെ ആദ്യം സ്നേഹിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടാണ് നാം സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നത്.

20 If any man say, I loue God, and hate his brother, he is a liar: for how can he that loueth not his brother whom he hath seene, loue God whom he hath not seene?

ആരെങ്കിലും ദൈവത്തെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയുകയും സഹോദരങ്ങളെ വെറുക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നെങ്കിൽ അയാൾ അസത്യവാദിയാണ്; കാരണം, താൻ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ള സഹോദരങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കാത്തവർക്ക് കണ്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ദൈവത്തെ സ്നേഹിക്കുക അസാധ്യമാണ്.

21 And this commandement haue we of him, that he that loueth God, should loue his brother also.

ദൈവത്തെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവർ തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരങ്ങളെയും സ്നേഹിക്കണം. ഈ കൽപ്പനയാണ് അവിടന്നു നമുക്കു നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.
