1 John 3
1 Behold, what loue the Father hath giuen to vs, that we should be called the sonnes of God: for this cause this world knoweth you not, because it knoweth not him.
Nu akka ijoollee Waaqaa jedhamnee waamamnuuf jaalalli Abbaan nurratti dhangalaase akkam guddaa dha! Nus akkasuma ijoollee isaa ti! Addunyaan waan isa hin beekiniif nu hin beeku.
2 Dearely beloued, nowe are we the sonnes of God, but yet it is not made manifest what we shall be: and we know that when he shalbe made manifest, we shalbe like him: for we shall see him as he is.
Yaa michoota jaallatamoo, nu amma ijoollee Waaqaa ti; gara fuula duraatti immoo maal akka taanu amma hin ibsamne. Garuu yommuu inni mulʼatutti sababii akkuma inni jirutti isa arginuuf nu akkuma isaa akka taanu ni beekna.
3 And euery man that hath this hope in him, purgeth himselfe, euen as he is pure.
Namni akkasitti isa abdatu hundinuu akkuma inni qulqulluu taʼe sana of qulqulleessa.
4 Whosoeuer committeth sinne, transgresseth also the Law: for sinne is the transgression of the Lawe.
Namni cubbuu hojjetu kam iyyuu seeratti ni fincila; cubbuun finciluudhaatii.
5 And ye knowe that hee was made manifest, that he might take away our sinnes, and in him is no sinne.
Isin garuu akka inni cubbuu keenya balleessuudhaaf mulʼate ni beektu. Isa keessa cubbuun hin jiru.
6 Whosoeuer abideth in him, sinneth not: whosoeuer sinneth, hath not seene him, neither hath knowen him.
Namni isaan jiraatu kam iyyuu cubbuu hin hojjetu. Namni cubbuu hojjetu kam iyyuu isa hin argine yookaan isa hin beekne.
7 Litle children, let no man deceiue you: he that doeth righteousnes, is righteous, as hee is righteous.
Yaa ijoolle, namni tokko iyyuu isin hin gowwoomsin. Akkuma inni qajeelaa taʼe sana namni waan qajeelaa hojjetus qajeelaa dha.
8 He that comitteth sinne, is of the deuil: for the deuill sinneth from the beginning: for this purpose was made manifest that Sonne of God, that he might loose the workes of the deuil.
Namni cubbuu hojjetu kan diiyaabiloos; diiyaabiloos jalqabumaa kaasee cubbuu hojjetaatii. Ilmi Waaqaa hojii diiyaabiloos diiguudhaaf mulʼateetii.
9 Whosoeuer is borne of God, sinneth not: for his seede remaineth in him, neither can hee sinne, because he is borne of God.
Namni Waaqa irraa dhalate kam iyyuu waan sanyiin Waaqaa isa keessa jiraatuuf cubbuu hojjechuutti hin fufu; inni waan Waaqa irraa dhalateef cubbuu hojjechuu hin dandaʼu.
10 In this are the children of God knowen, and the children of the deuil: whosoeuer doeth not righteousnesse, is not of God, neither he that loueth not his brother.
Ijoolleen Waaqaatii fi ijoolleen diiyaabiloos kanaan gargar baafamanii beekamu: Namni waan qajeelaa hin hojjenne yookaan obboleessa isaa hin jaallanne kam iyyuu kan Waaqaa miti.
11 For this is the message, that ye heard from the beginning, that we should loue one another,
Ergaan isin jalqabaa kaaftanii dhageessan isa, “Nu wal jaallachuu qabna” jedhuu dha.
12 Not as Cain which was of that wicked one, and slewe his brother: and wherefore slewe he him? because his owne workes were euill, and his brothers good.
Isin akka Qaayin isa kan isa hamaa sanaa taʼee obboleessa isaa ajjeese sanaa hin taʼinaa; inni maaliif obboleessa isaa ajjeese? Sababii hojiin isaa jalʼaa taʼee, kan obboleessa isaa immoo qajeelaa taʼeef.
13 Marueile not, my brethren, though this world hate you.
Yaa obboloota ko, yoo addunyaan isin jibbe isin hin dinqin.
14 We know that we are translated from death vnto life, because we loue the brethren: he that loueth not his brother, abideth in death.
Nu sababii obboloota jaallannuuf duʼa keessaa gara jireenyaatti akka ceene ni beekna. Namni obboleessa isaa hin jaallanne duʼa keessa jiraata.
15 Whosoeuer hateth his brother, is a manslayer: and ye know that no manslayer hath eternall life abiding in him. (aiōnios g166)
Namni obboleessa isaa jibbu kam iyyuu nama nama ajjeesuu dha; isinis akka namni nama ajjeesu jireenya bara baraa of keessaa hin qabne beektu. (aiōnios g166)
16 Hereby haue we perceiued loue, that he layde downe his life for vs: therefore we ought also to lay downe our liues for the brethren.
Yesuus Kiristoos lubbuu isaa dabarsee nuuf kenneera: Jaalalli maal akka taʼes kanaan beekna; nus akkasuma lubbuu keenya dabarsinee obboloota keenyaaf kennuu qabna.
17 And whosoeuer hath this worlds good, and seeth his brother haue neede, and shutteth vp his compassion from him, howe dwelleth the loue of God in him?
Namni qabeenya addunyaa qabu kam iyyuu yoo obboleessa isaa rakkataa argee garaa itti jabaate jaalalli Waaqaa akkamitti isa keessa jiraachuu dandaʼa?
18 My litle children, let vs not loue in worde, neither in tongue onely, but in deede and in trueth.
Yaa ijoollee jaallatamoo, kottaa dubbiin yookaan afaan qofaan utuu hin taʼin hojii fi dhugaadhaan jaallannaa.
19 For thereby we know that we are of the trueth, and shall before him assure our hearts.
Nus kan dhugaa taʼuu keenya kanaan beekna; fuula isaa durattis garaa keenya boqochiifna.
20 For if our heart condemne vs, God is greater then our heart, and knoweth all things.
Yeroo garaan keenya nutti murutti Waaqni garaa keenya caalaa guddaa akka taʼe ni beeknaatii; inni waan hunda ni beeka.
21 Beloued, if our heart condemne vs not, then haue we boldnes toward God.
Yaa michoota, yoo garaan keenya nutti muruu baate nu fuula Waaqaa duratti ija jabina qabna.
22 And whatsoeuer we aske we receiue of him, because we keepe his commandements, and do those things which are pleasing in his sight.
Nus sababii ajaja isaa eegnuu fi sababii waan isa gammachiisu hojjennuuf waan kadhannu hunda isa irraa ni arganna.
23 This is then his commandement, That we beleeue in the Name of his Sonne Iesus Christ, and loue one another as hee gaue commandement.
Ajajni isaas kana: kunis nu maqaa Ilma isaa Yesuus Kiristoositti akka amannuu fi akkuma inni nu ajajetti akka wal jaallannuuf.
24 For hee that keepeth his commandements, dwelleth in him, and he in him: and hereby we knowe that hee abideth in vs, euen by that Spirit which he hath giuen vs.
Namni ajaja isaa eegu isa keessa jiraata; innis isa keessa jiraata. Kanaanis akka inni nu keessa jiraatu nu Hafuura inni nuu kenneen ni beekna.
