1 Corinthians 15
1 Moreouer brethren, I declare vnto you the Gospel, which I preached vnto you, which ye haue also receiued, and wherein ye continue,
এখন ভাইবোনেরা, আমি যে সুসমাচার তোমাদের কাছে প্রচার করেছি, তা আমি তোমাদের স্মরণ করিয়ে দিতে চাই, যা তোমরা গ্রহণ করেছিলে এবং যার উপরে তোমরা প্রতিষ্ঠিত আছ।
2 And whereby ye are saued, if ye keepe in memorie, after what maner I preached it vnto you, except ye haue beleeued in vaine.
এই সুসমাচারের দ্বারা তোমরা পরিত্রাণ পেয়েছ, যদি তোমরা তোমাদের কাছে আমার প্রচারিত বাক্য দৃঢ়ভাবে ধারণ করে থাকো। অন্যথায়, তোমরা বৃথাই বিশ্বাস করেছ।
3 For first of all, I deliuered vnto you that which I receiued, how that Christ died for our sinnes, according to the Scriptures,
কারণ আমি যে বিষয়ে শিখেছি তা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বলে প্রথমেই তোমাদের কাছে তা সমর্পণ করেছি যে, শাস্ত্র অনুসারে খ্রীষ্ট আমাদের পাপের কারণে মৃত্যুবরণ করেছেন,
4 And that he was buried, and that he arose the third day, according to the Scriptures,
তিনি সমাধিপ্রাপ্ত হয়েছেন ও শাস্ত্র অনুসারেই তিনি তৃতীয় দিনে উত্থাপিত হয়েছেন
5 And that he was seene of Cephas, then of the twelue.
এবং পরে কৈফা ও সেই বারোজনকে দর্শন দিয়েছেন।
6 After that, he was seene of more then fiue hudreth brethren at once: whereof many remaine vnto this present, and some also are asleepe.
এরপরে তিনি ভাইদের মধ্যে পাঁচশোরও বেশিজনকে একবারে দর্শন দিয়েছেন, যাদের মধ্যে কয়েকজন নিদ্রাগত হলেও, অধিকাংশ জনই এখনও জীবিত আছেন।
7 After that, he was seene of Iames: then of all the Apostles.
তারপর তিনি যাকোবকে ও পরে সমস্ত প্রেরিতশিষ্যকে দর্শন দিয়েছেন;
8 And last of all he was seene also of me, as of one borne out of due time.
সবশেষে, আমার মতো অকালজাতের কাছেও তিনি দর্শন দিয়েছেন।
9 For I am the least of the Apostles, which am not meete to be called an Apostle, because I persecuted the Church of God.
কারণ, আমি প্রেরিতশিষ্যদের মধ্যে নগণ্যতম, এমনকি, প্রেরিতশিষ্যরূপে অভিহিত হওয়ারও যোগ্যতা আমার নেই, কারণ আমি ঈশ্বরের মণ্ডলীকে নির্যাতন করতাম।
10 But by the grace of God, I am that I am: and his grace which is in me, was not in vaine: but I laboured more aboundantly then they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which is with me.
কিন্তু এখন আমি যা হয়েছি তা ঈশ্বরের অনুগ্রহেই হয়েছি এবং আমার প্রতি তাঁর অনুগ্রহ নিরর্থক হয়নি। বরং, আমি তাঁদের সকলের চেয়ে বেশি পরিশ্রম করেছি—তবুও আমি নই, কিন্তু ঈশ্বরের অনুগ্রহ আমার সহবর্তী ছিল।
11 Wherefore, whether it were I, or they, so we preach, and so haue ye beleeued.
অতএব, আমি হই বা তাঁরা হন, একথাই আমরা প্রচার করি এবং তোমরা একথাই বিশ্বাস করেছ।
12 Now if it be preached, that Christ is risen from the dead, how say some among you, that there is no resurrection of the dead?
কিন্তু একথা যদি প্রচার করা হয়ে থাকে যে, খ্রীষ্টকে মৃতলোক থেকে উত্থাপিত করা হয়েছে, তাহলে তোমাদের মধ্যে কেউ কীভাবে বলে যে, মৃতদের পুনরুত্থান নেই?
13 For if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
যদি মৃতদের পুনরুত্থান নেই, তাহলে তো খ্রীষ্টও উত্থাপিত হননি!
14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vaine, and your faith is also vaine.
আবার খ্রীষ্ট যদি উত্থাপিত না হয়ে থাকেন তবে আমাদের প্রচার করা ও তোমাদের বিশ্বাস করা, সব অর্থহীন হয়েছে।
15 And we are found also false witnesses of God: for we haue testified of God, that he hath raised vp Christ: whome he hath not raised vp, if so be the dead be not raised.
তার চেয়েও বড়ো কথা, আমরা তখন ঈশ্বর সম্পর্কে মিথ্যাসাক্ষী বলে প্রমাণিত হব, কারণ ঈশ্বর সম্পর্কে আমরা এই সাক্ষ্য দিয়েছি যে, তিনি খ্রীষ্টকে মৃতলোক থেকে উত্থাপিত করেছেন।
16 For if the dead be not raised, then is Christ not raised.
কারণ মৃতদের উত্থাপন যদি না হয়, তাহলে খ্রীষ্টকেও উত্থাপিত করা হয়নি।
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vaine: ye are yet in your sinnes.
আর যদি খ্রীষ্ট উত্থাপিত না হয়েছেন, তোমাদের বিশ্বাস নিরর্থক, তোমরা এখনও তোমাদের পাপের মধ্যে রয়েছ।
18 And so they which are a sleepe in Christ, are perished.
সুতরাং, যারা খ্রীষ্টে নিদ্রাগত হয়েছে, তারাও বিনষ্ট হয়েছে।
19 If in this life onely wee haue hope in Christ, we are of all men the most miserable.
কেবলমাত্র এই জীবনের জন্য যদি আমাদের খ্রীষ্টে প্রত্যাশা থাকে, তাহলে সব মানুষের চেয়ে আমরাই বেশি দুর্ভাগ্যপূর্ণ।
20 But nowe is Christ risen from the dead, and was made the first fruites of them that slept.
কিন্তু খ্রীষ্ট সত্যিই মৃতদের মধ্য থেকে উত্থাপিত হয়েছেন, যারা নিদ্রাগত হয়েছে, তাদের মধ্যে তিনিই প্রথম ফলস্বরূপ।
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
কারণ মৃত্যু যেহেতু একজন মানুষের মাধ্যমে এসেছিল, মৃতদের পুনরুত্থানও তেমনই একজন মানুষের মাধ্যমেই আসে।
22 For as in Adam all die, euen so in Christ shall all be made aliue,
কারণ আদমে যেমন সকলের মৃত্যু হয়, তেমনই খ্রীষ্টে সকলেই পুনর্জীবিত হবে।
23 But euery man in his owne order: the first fruites is Christ, afterward, they that are of Christ, at his comming shall rise againe.
কিন্তু প্রত্যেকেই তার নিজ নিজ পর্যায়ক্রমে: প্রথম ফসল খ্রীষ্ট, পরে যখন তিনি আসবেন, তাঁর আপনজনেরা।
24 Then shalbe the end, when he hath deliuered vp the kingdome to God, euen the Father, when he hath put downe all rule, and all authoritie and power.
তারপর সবকিছুর শেষ সময় উপস্থিত হবে যখন তিনি সমস্ত শাসনভার, কর্তৃত্ব ও পরাক্রম ধ্বংস করার পর, পিতা ঈশ্বরের হাতে রাজ্যের ভার হস্তান্তর করবেন।
25 For he must reigne till hee hath put all his enemies vnder his feete.
কারণ যতক্ষণ না তিনি তাঁর সমস্ত শত্রুকে তাঁর পদানত করেন, তাঁকে রাজত্ব করতেই হবে।
26 The last enemie that shalbe destroyed, is death.
সর্বশেষ শত্রু যে মৃত্যু, তাও ধ্বংস করা হবে।
27 For he hath put downe all things vnder his feete. (And when he saith that all things are subdued to him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put downe all things vnder him.)
কারণ, “তিনি সবকিছুই তাঁর পায়ের নিচে রেখেছেন।” এখন, যখন বলা হচ্ছে, “সবকিছুই” তাঁর বশ্যতাধীন করা হয়েছে, এ বিষয় সুস্পষ্ট যে, এতে স্বয়ং ঈশ্বর অন্তর্ভুক্ত নন, যিনি সবকিছুই খ্রীষ্টের অধীন করেছেন।
28 And when all things shalbe subdued vnto him, then shall the Sonne also himselfe be subiect vnto him, that did subdue all things vnder him, that God may be all in all.
তিনি যখন এরকম করবেন, তখন পুত্রও স্বয়ং তাঁর বশ্যতাধীন হবেন, যিনি সবকিছুই তাঁর বশ্যতাধীন করেন, যেন ঈশ্বরই সর্বেসর্বা হন।
29 Els what shall they doe which are baptized for dead? if the dead rise not at all, why are they then baptized for dead?
এখন পুনরুত্থান যদি না থাকে, তাহলে যারা মৃতদের জন্য বাপ্তিষ্ম গ্রহণ করে, তারা কী করবে? মৃতেরা যদি আদৌ উত্থাপিত না হয়, লোকেরা কেন তাদের জন্য বাপ্তিষ্ম গ্রহণ করে?
30 Why are wee also in ieopardie euery houre?
আর আমাদের প্রসঙ্গে বলতে হলে, আমরাই বা কেন প্রতি মুহূর্তে নিজেদের বিপদগ্রস্ত করে তুলি?
31 By your reioycing which I haue in Christ Iesus our Lord, I die dayly.
ভাইবোনেরা, আমাদের প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টতে তোমাদের বিষয়ে আমার যা গর্ব, তারই দোহাই দিয়ে আমি বলছি যে আমি প্রতিদিনই মৃত্যুর মুখোমুখি হচ্ছি।
32 If I haue fought with beastes at Ephesus after ye maner of men, what aduantageth it me, if the dead be not raised vp? let vs eate and drinke: for to morowe we shall die.
শুধুমাত্র মানবিক কারণেই যদি আমি ইফিষে বন্যপশুদের সঙ্গে লড়াই করে থাকি, তাহলে আমি কী লাভ করেছি? মৃতেরা যদি উত্থাপিত না হয়, তাহলে, “এসো আমরা ভোজন ও পান করি, কারণ আগামীকাল আমরা মারা যাব।”
33 Be not deceiued: euill speakings corrupt good maners.
তোমরা বিভ্রান্ত হোয়ো না। “অসৎ সঙ্গ ভালো চরিত্রকে কলুষিত করে।”
34 Awake to liue righteously, and sinne not: for some haue not ye knowledge of God, I speake this to your shame.
তোমাদের যেমন হওয়া উচিত, চেতনায় ফিরে এসো এবং পাপ করা থেকে ক্ষান্ত হও; কারণ এমন কিছু লোক আছে, যাদের ঈশ্বরজ্ঞান নেই; তোমাদের লজ্জা দেওয়ার জন্য আমি একথা বলছি।
35 But some man will say, Howe are the dead raised vp? and with what body come they foorth?
কিন্তু, কেউ হয়তো প্রশ্ন করবে, “কীভাবে মৃতদের উত্থাপিত করা হয়? কোন প্রকারের দেহ নিয়ে তারা উপস্থিত হবে?”
36 O foole, that which thou sowest, is not quickened, except it die.
কী মূর্খতা! তোমরা যা বপন করো, তা না মরলে জীবিত হয় না।
37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shalbe, but bare corne as it falleth, of wheat, or of some other.
যখন তোমরা কিছু বপন করো, যে গাছ উৎপন্ন হবে, তা কিন্তু তোমরা বপন করো না, কিন্তু একটি বীজবপন করো; তা হয়তো গমের বা অন্য কিছুর।
38 But God giueth it a body at his pleasure, euen to euery seede his owne body,
কিন্তু ঈশ্বর যেমন নির্ধারণ করেছেন, তেমনই তার দেহ দান করেন এবং প্রত্যেক প্রকারের বীজকে তার নিজ নিজ দেহ দান করেন।
39 All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, and another flesh of beastes, and another of fishes, and another of birdes.
সব মাংসই এক প্রকারের নয়: মানুষের এক প্রকার মাংস আছে, পশুদের অন্য প্রকার; পাখিদের এক প্রকার এবং মাছের আর এক প্রকার;
40 There are also heauenly bodies, and earthly bodies: but the glorie of the heauenly is one, and the glorie of the earthly is another.
এছাড়াও আছে স্বর্গীয় দেহ এবং আছে পার্থিব দেহ; কিন্তু স্বর্গীয় দেহগুলির ঔজ্জ্বল্য এক প্রকার, পার্থিব দেহগুলির অন্য প্রকার।
41 There is another glorie of the sunne, and another glorie of the moone, and another glorie of the starres: for one starre differeth from another starre in glorie.
সূর্যের আছে এক ধরনের ঔজ্জ্বল্য, চাঁদের আর এক ধরনের ও তারার আর এক ধরনের; আর ঔজ্জ্বল্যের দিক দিয়ে এক তারা অন্য তারার থেকে ভিন্ন।
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The bodie is sowen in corruption, and is raysed in incorruption.
মৃতদের পুনরুত্থানের ক্ষেত্রেও এরকমই হবে। ক্ষয়ে বপন করা হয়, কিন্তু অক্ষয়তায় উত্থাপিত করা হবে;
43 It is sowen in dishonour, and is raysed in glory: it is sowen in weakenesse, and is raysed in power.
অনাদরে বপন করা হয়, মহিমায় তা উত্থাপিত করা হবে; দুর্বলতায় তা বপন করা হয়, পরাক্রমে তা উত্থাপিত হবে;
44 It is sowen a naturall body, and is raysed a spirituall body: there is a naturall body, and there is a spirituall body.
স্বাভাবিক দেহ বপন করা হয়, আত্মিক দেহ উত্থাপিত হবে। যদি স্বাভাবিক দেহ থাকে, তাহলে আত্মিক দেহও থাকে।
45 As it is also written, The first man Adam was made a liuing soule: and the last Adam was made a quickening Spirit.
তাই এরকম লেখা আছে: “প্রথম মানুষ আদম হলেন এক জীবিত প্রাণী”; শেষ আদম হলেন এক জীবনদায়ী আত্মা।
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spirituall: but that which is naturall, and afterward that which is spirituall.
আত্মিক প্রথমে আসেনি, কিন্তু এসেছে স্বাভাবিক, তারপর আত্মিক।
47 The first man is of the earth, earthly: the second man is the Lord from heauen.
প্রথম মানুষ ছিলেন পৃথিবীর ধুলি থেকে, দ্বিতীয় মানুষ স্বর্গ থেকে।
48 As is the earthly, such are they that are earthly: and as is the heauenly, such are they also that are heauenly.
পার্থিব সব ব্যক্তি সেই পার্থিব ব্যক্তির মতো এবং স্বর্গীয় সকলে সেই স্বর্গ থেকে আগত ব্যক্তির মতোই।
49 And as we haue borne the image of the earthly, so shall we beare the image of the heauenly.
আর যেমন আমরা পার্থিব ব্যক্তির স্বরূপ ধারণ করেছি, তেমনই আমরা স্বর্গ থেকে আগত ব্যক্তির রূপও ধারণ করব।
50 This say I, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherite the kingdome of God, neither doeth corruption inherite incorruption.
ভাইবোনেরা, আমি তোমাদের কাছে ঘোষণা করছি যে, রক্তমাংসের দেহ ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যের অধিকারী হতে পারে না, কিংবা ক্ষয়প্রাপ্ত দেহ অক্ষয়তার অধিকারী হয় না।
51 Behold, I shewe you a secret thing, We shall not all sleepe, but we shall all be changed,
শোনো, আমি তোমাদের এক গুপ্তরহস্য বলি: আমরা সকলে নিদ্রাগত হব না, কিন্তু আমরা সকলেই রূপান্তরিত হব—
52 In a moment, in the twinckling of an eye at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall blow, and the dead shalbe raysed vp incorruptible, and we shalbe changed.
এক নিমেষে, চোখের পলকে, শেষ তূরীধ্বনির সঙ্গে তা ঘটবে। কারণ তূরীধ্বনি হবে, মৃতেরা অক্ষয়তায় উত্থাপিত হবে এবং আমরা রূপান্তরিত হব,
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption: and this mortall must put on immortalitie.
কারণ এই ক্ষয়প্রাপ্তকে অক্ষয়তা পরিধান করতে হবে এবং এই মরদেহকে অমরতা পরিধান হতে হবে।
54 So when this corruptible hath put on incorruption, and this mortall hath put on immortalitie, then shalbe brought to passe the saying that is written, Death is swallowed vp into victorie.
আর এই ক্ষয়প্রাপ্ত যখন অক্ষয়তা পরিধান করবে ও এই মরদেহ অমরতা পরিধান করবে, তখন এই যে কথা লেখা আছে, তা সত্য প্রমাণিত হবে: “চিরকালের জন্য মৃত্যুকে গ্রাস করা হয়েছে।”
“মৃত্যু, তোমার জয় কোথায়? মৃত্যু, তোমার হুল কোথায়?” (Hadēs g86)
56 The sting of death is sinne: and ye strength of sinne is the Lawe.
মৃত্যুর হুল পাপ ও পাপের পরাক্রম হল বিধান।
57 But thankes be vnto God, which hath giuen vs victorie through our Lord Iesus Christ.
কিন্তু ঈশ্বরের ধন্যবাদ হোক! তিনি প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের মাধ্যমে আমাদের বিজয় দান করেন।
58 Therefore my beloued brethren, be ye stedfast, vnmoueable, aboundant alwayes in the worke of the Lord, forasmuch as ye knowe that your labour is not in vaine in the Lord.
তাই, আমার প্রিয় ভাইবোনেরা, সুস্থির থাকো। কোনো কিছুই তোমাদের বিচলিত না করুক। প্রভুর কাজে তোমরা সর্বদা নিজেদের সম্পূর্ণ উৎসর্গ করো, কারণ তোমরা জানো যে, প্রভুতে তোমাদের পরিশ্রম ব্যর্থ হবে না।
