1 Corinthians 13
1 Though I speake with the tongues of men and Angels, and haue not loue, I am as sounding brasse, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And though I had the gift of prophecie, and knewe all secrets and all knowledge, yea, if I had all faith, so that I could remooue mountaines and had not loue, I were nothing.
apara nca yadyaham ii"svariiyaade"saa. dhya. h syaa. m sarvvaa. ni guptavaakyaani sarvvavidyaa nca jaaniiyaa. m puur. navi"svaasa. h san "sailaan sthaanaantariikarttu. m "saknuyaa nca kintu yadi premahiino bhaveya. m tarhyaga. naniiya eva bhavaami|
3 And though I feede the poore with all my goods, and though I giue my body, that I be burned, and haue not loue, it profiteth me nothing.
apara. m yadyaham annadaanena sarvvasva. m tyajeya. m daahanaaya sva"sariira. m samarpayeya nca kintu yadi premahiino bhaveya. m tarhi tatsarvva. m madartha. m ni. sphala. m bhavati|
4 Loue suffreth long: it is bountifull: loue enuieth not: loue doeth not boast it selfe: it is not puffed vp:
prema cirasahi. s.nu hitai. si ca, prema nirdve. sam a"sa. tha. m nirgarvva nca|
5 It doeth no vncomely thing: it seeketh not her owne things: it is not prouoked to anger: it thinketh not euill:
apara. m tat kutsita. m naacarati, aatmace. s.taa. m na kurute sahasaa na krudhyati paraani. s.ta. m na cintayati,
6 It reioyceth not in iniquitie, but reioyceth in the trueth:
adharmme na tu. syati satya eva santu. syati|
7 It suffreth all things: it beleeueth all things: it hopeth all things: it endureth all things.
tat sarvva. m titik. sate sarvvatra vi"svasiti sarvvatra bhadra. m pratiik. sate sarvva. m sahate ca|
8 Loue doeth neuer fall away, though that prophecyings be abolished, or the tongues cease, or knowledge vanish away.
premno lopa. h kadaapi na bhavi. syati, ii"svariiyaade"sakathana. m lopsyate parabhaa. saabhaa. sa. na. m nivartti. syate j naanamapi lopa. m yaasyati|
9 For we knowe in part, and we prophecie in part.
yato. asmaaka. m j naana. m kha. n.damaatram ii"svariiyaade"sakathanamapi kha. n.damaatra. m|
10 But when that which is perfect, is come, then that which is in part, shalbe abolished.
kintvasmaasu siddhataa. m gate. su taani kha. n.damaatraa. ni lopa. m yaasyante|
11 When I was a childe, I spake as a childe, I vnderstoode as a childe, I thought as a childe: but when I became a man, I put away childish thinges.
baalyakaale. aha. m baala ivaabhaa. se baala ivaacintaya nca kintu yauvane jaate tatsarvva. m baalyaacara. na. m parityaktavaan|
12 For nowe we see through a glasse darkely: but then shall wee see face to face. Nowe I know in part: but then shall I know euen as I am knowen.
idaaniim abhramadhyenaaspa. s.ta. m dar"sanam asmaabhi rlabhyate kintu tadaa saak. saat dar"sana. m lapsyate| adhunaa mama j naanam alpi. s.tha. m kintu tadaaha. m yathaavagamyastathaivaavagato bhavi. syaami|
13 And nowe abideth faith, hope and loue, euen these three: but the chiefest of these is loue.
idaanii. m pratyaya. h pratyaa"saa prema ca trii. nyetaani ti. s.thanti te. saa. m madhye ca prema "sre. s.tha. m|
