1 Chronicles 9
1 Thus all Israel were nombred by their genealogies: and beholde, they are written in the booke of the Kings of Israel and of Iudah, and they were caried away to Babel for their transgression.
Waisraeli wote waliorodheshwa katika koo zilizoandikwa kwenye kitabu cha wafalme wa Israeli. Watu wa Yuda walichukuliwa mateka kwenda Babeli kwa sababu ya kukosa uaminifu kwa Mungu.
2 And the chiefe inhabitants that dwelt in their owne possessions, and in their owne cities, euen Israel the Priestes, the Leuites, and the Nethinims.
Basi watu wa kwanza kurudi kukaa kwenye milki zao katika miji yao walikuwa baadhi ya Waisraeli, makuhani, Walawi na watumishi wa Hekalu.
3 And in Ierusalem dwelt of the children of Iudah, and of the children of Beniamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh.
Wale waliotoka Yuda, Benyamini, Efraimu na Manase ambao waliishi Yerusalemu walikuwa:
4 Vthai the sonne of Amihud the sonne of Omri, the sonne of Imri, the sonne of Bani: of the children of Pharez, the sonne of Iudah.
Uthai mwana wa Amihudi, mwana wa Omri, mwana wa Imri, mwana wa Bani, wa wana wa Peresi, mwana wa Yuda.
5 And of Shiloni, Asaiah the eldest, and his sonnes.
Wazao wa Washiloni waliorudi ni: Asaya mzaliwa wa kwanza na wanawe.
6 And the sonnes of Zerah, Ieuel, and their brethren sixe hundreth and ninetie.
Kwa wana wa Zera: Yeueli. Watu wa Yuda jumla yao walikuwa watu 690.
7 And of the sonnes of Beniamin, Sallu the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Hodauiah, the sonne of Hasenuah,
Kwa Benyamini walikuwa: Salu mwana wa Meshulamu, mwana wa Hodavia, mwana wa Hasenua;
8 And Ibneiah the sonne of Ieroham, and Elah the sonne of Vzzi, the sonne of Michri, and Meshullam the sonne of Shephatiah, the sonne of Reuel, the sonne of Ibniiah.
Ibneya mwana wa Yerohamu, Ela mwana wa Uzi, mwana wa Mikri; na Meshulamu mwana wa Shefatia, mwana wa Reueli, mwana wa Ibniya.
9 And their brethren according to their generations nine hundreth, fiftie and sixe: all these men were chiefe fathers in the housholdes of their fathers.
Watu kutoka Benyamini kama walivyoorodheshwa katika koo zao jumla yao ni 956. Watu hawa wote walikuwa viongozi wa jamaa zao.
10 And of the Priestes, Iedaiah, and Iehoiarib, and Iachin,
Wa jamaa za makuhani walikuwa: Yedaya, Yehoyaribu na Yakini;
11 And Azariah the sonne of Hilkiah, ye sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Zadok, the sonne of Meraioth, the sonne of Ahitub the chiefe of the house of God,
Azaria mwana wa Hilkia, mwana wa Meshulamu, mwana wa Sadoki, mwana wa Merayothi, mwana wa Ahitubu aliyekuwa afisa kiongozi wa nyumba ya Mungu.
12 And Adaiah the sonne of Ieroham, ye sonne of Pashur, the sonne of Malchiiah, and Maasai the sonne of Adiel, the sonne of Iahzerah, the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Meshillemith, the sonne of Immer.
Adaya mwana wa Yerohamu, mwana wa Pashuri, mwana wa Malkiya; Maasai, mwana wa Adieli, mwana wa Yahzera, mwana wa Meshulamu, mwana wa Meshilemithi, mwana wa Imeri.
13 And their brethre the chiefe of the households of their fathers a thousand, seuen hundreth and three score valiant men, for the worke of the seruice of the house of God.
Makuhani waliokuwa viongozi wa jamaa zao walikuwa 1,760. Walikuwa watu wenye uwezo, waliowajibika kuhudumu katika nyumba ya Mungu.
14 And of the Leuites, Shemaiah the sonne of Hasshub, the sonne of Azrikam, the sonne of Hashabiah of the sonnes of Merari,
Jamaa za Walawi walikuwa: Shemaya, mwana wa Hashubu, mwana wa Azrikamu, mwana wa Hashabia, wa wana wa Merari.
15 And Bakbakkar, Heresh and Galal, and Mattaniah the sonne of Micha, the sonne of Zichri, the sonne of Asaph,
Bakbakari, Hereshi, Galali na Matania mwana wa Mika, mwana wa Zikri, mwana wa Asafu.
16 And Obadiah the sonne of Shemaiah, the sonne of Galal, the sonne of Ieduthun, and Berechiah, the sonne of Asa, the sonne of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
Obadia mwana wa Shemaya, mwana wa Galali, mwana wa Yeduthuni. Berekia mwana wa Asa, mwana wa Elikana, ambao waliishi katika vijiji vya Wanetofathi.
17 And the porters were Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren: Shallum was the chiefe.
Mabawabu katika Hekalu la Bwana waliorudi walikuwa: Shalumu, Akubu, Talmoni, Ahimani na ndugu zao. Shalumu alikuwa mlinzi wao mkuu.
18 For they were porters to this time by companies of the children of Leui vnto the Kinges gate eastward.
Walikuwa wamewekwa katika lango la mfalme lililokuwa upande wa mashariki, mpaka wakati huu. Hawa walikuwa mabawabu wa kutoka kwenye kambi ya Walawi.
19 And Shallum the sonne of Kore the sonne of Ebiasaph the sonne of Korah, and his brethren the Korathites (of the house of their father) were ouer the worke, and office to keepe the gates of the Tabernacle: so their families were ouer the hoste of the Lord, keeping the entrie.
Shalumu mwana wa Kore, mwana wa Ebiasafu, mwana wa Kora, pamoja na mabawabu wenzake kutoka jamaa yake ya Kora waliwajibika kulinda malango ya Hema, kama vile baba zao walivyokuwa wamewajibika kulinda ingilio la Maskani ya Bwana.
20 And Phinehas ye sonne of Eleazar was their guide, and the Lord was with him.
Hapo zamani Finehasi mwana wa Eleazari alikuwa kiongozi wa mabawabu, naye Bwana alikuwa pamoja naye:
21 Zechariah the sonne of Meshelemiah was the porter of the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
Zekaria mwana wa Meshelemia alikuwa bawabu katika ingilio la Hema la Kukutania.
22 All these were chosen for porters of the gates, two hundreth and twelue, which were nombred according to their genealogies by their townes. Dauid established these and Samuel the Seer in their perpetuall office.
Jumla ya waliochaguliwa kuwa mabawabu katika sakafu za kupuria nafaka walikuwa watu 212. Waliandikishwa kwa koo zao kwenye vijiji vyao. Mabawabu hawa waliwekwa katika nafasi zao za kuaminiwa na Daudi pamoja na mwonaji Samweli.
23 So they and their children had the ouersight of the gates of the house of the Lord, euen of the house of the Tabernacle by wardes.
Wao na wazao wao walikuwa viongozi wa kulinda malango ya nyumba ya Bwana, nyumba iliyoitwa Hema.
24 The porters were in foure quarters Eastward, Westward, Northward and Southward.
Mabawabu walikuwa pande zote nne: mashariki, magharibi, kaskazini na kusini.
25 And their brethren, which were in their townes, came at seuen dayes from time to time with them.
Ndugu zao katika vijiji vyao walikuwa wakija mara kwa mara na kuwasaidia katika kazi zao kwa vipindi mbalimbali vya siku saba.
26 For these foure chiefe porters were in perpetuall office, and were of the Leuites and had charge of the chambers, and of the treasures in the house of God.
Lakini mabawabu wanne wakuu, waliokuwa Walawi, walikabidhiwa wajibu kwa ajili ya vyumba na hazina katika nyumba ya Mungu.
27 And they lay rounde about the house of God, because the charge was theirs, and they caused it to be opened euery morning.
Walikesha mahali walipowekwa kuizunguka nyumba ya Mungu, kwa sababu iliwapasa kuilinda. Pia walitunza funguo kwa ajili ya kufungua mlango kila siku asubuhi.
28 And certaine of them had the rule of the ministring vessels: for they brought them in by tale, and brought them out by tale.
Baadhi yao walikuwa viongozi wa kutunza vifaa vilivyotumika katika huduma ndani ya Hekalu; walivihesabu kila vilipoingizwa ndani na kila vilipotolewa.
29 Some of them also were appoynted ouer the instruments, and ouer all the vessels of the Sanctuarie, and of the floure, and the wine, and the oyle, and the incense, and the sweete odours.
Wengine walipangiwa kutunza mapambo na vifaa vingine vya patakatifu, pamoja na unga, divai, mafuta, uvumba na vikolezo.
30 And certaine of the sonnes of the Priestes made oyntments of sweete odours.
Lakini baadhi ya makuhani walifanya kazi ya kuchanganya vikolezo.
31 And Mattithiah one of the Leuites which was the eldest sonne of Shallum the Korhite, had the charge of the things that were made in the frying panne.
Mlawi aliyeitwa Matithia, mwana mzaliwa wa kwanza wa Shalumu, wa ukoo wa Kora, alikabidhiwa wajibu kwa ajili ya kuoka mikate ya sadaka.
32 And other of their brethren the sonnes of Kohath had the ouersight of the shewbread to prepare it euery Sabbath.
Baadhi ya ndugu zao wa ukoo wa Kohathi walikuwa viongozi wa kuandaa mikate ya Wonyesho kwa ajili ya kila Sabato, mikate iliyokuwa inawekwa mezani.
33 And these are the singers, the chiefe fathers of the Leuites, which dwelt in the chambers, and had none other charge: for they had to do in that busines day and night:
Wale waliokuwa waimbaji, viongozi wa jamaa za Walawi, waliishi katika vyumba vya Hekalu, nao hawakufanya shughuli nyingine yoyote kwa sababu iliwapasa kuwajibika kwa kazi hiyo usiku na mchana.
34 These were the chiefe fathers of the Leuites according to their generations, and the principall which dwelt at Ierusalem.
Hawa wote walikuwa viongozi wa jamaa za Walawi, wakuu kama walivyoorodheshwa katika koo zao, nao waliishi Yerusalemu.
35 And in Gibeon dwelt ye father of Gibeon, Ieiel, and the name of his wife was Maachah.
Yeieli alikuwa baba yake Gibeoni naye aliishi huko Gibeoni. Mke wake aliitwa Maaka,
36 And his eldest sonne was Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,
mwanawe mzaliwa wa kwanza alikuwa Abdoni, akafuatiwa na Suri, Kishi, Baali, Neri, Nadabu,
37 And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.
Gedori, Ahio, Zekaria na Miklothi.
38 And Mikloth begate Shimeam: they also dwelt with their brethren at Ierusalem, euen by their brethren.
Miklothi akamzaa Shimeamu. Wao pia waliishi karibu na jamaa zao huko Yerusalemu.
39 And Ner begate Kish, and Kish begate Saul, and Saul begate Ionathan and Malchishua, and Abinadab and Eshbaal.
Neri akamzaa Kishi, Kishi akamzaa Sauli. Sauli akamzaa Yonathani, Malki-Shua, Abinadabu na Esh-Baali.
40 And the sonne of Ionathan was Merib-baal: and Merib-baal begate Micah.
Yonathani akamzaa Merib-Baali, naye Merib-Baali akamzaa Mika.
41 And the sonnes of Micah were Pithon, and Melech and Tahrea.
Wana wa Mika walikuwa: Pithoni, Meleki, Tarea, na Ahazi.
42 And Ahaz begate Iarah, and Iarah begat Alemeth, and Azmaueth, and Zimri, and Zimri begate Moza.
Ahazi akamzaa Yara, Yara akawazaa Alemethi, Azmawethi na Zimri, naye Zimri akamzaa Mosa.
43 And Moza begate Binea, whose sonne was Rephaiah, and his sonne was Eleasah, and his sonne Azel.
Mosa akamzaa Binea, Binea akamzaa Refaya, na mwanawe huyo ni Eleasa, na mwanawe huyo ni Aseli.
44 And Azel had sixe sonnes, whose names are these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ismael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these are the sonnes of Azel.
Aseli alikuwa na wana sita, na haya ndiyo majina yao: Azrikamu, Bokeru, Ishmaeli, Shearia, Obadia na Hanani. Hawa ndio waliokuwa wana wa Aseli.
