1 Chronicles 9
1 Thus all Israel were nombred by their genealogies: and beholde, they are written in the booke of the Kings of Israel and of Iudah, and they were caried away to Babel for their transgression.
Tous les Israélites avaient été immatriculés et enregistrés dans les livres des rois d’Israël. Ceux de Juda avaient été déportés à Babylone à cause de leurs méfaits.
2 And the chiefe inhabitants that dwelt in their owne possessions, and in their owne cities, euen Israel the Priestes, the Leuites, and the Nethinims.
Les premiers habitants qui rentrèrent en possession de leurs immeubles, dans leurs anciennes villes, étaient Israélites, prêtres, lévites et serviteurs du temple.
3 And in Ierusalem dwelt of the children of Iudah, and of the children of Beniamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh.
A Jérusalem s’établirent des descendants de Juda, de Benjamin, d’Ephraïm et de Manassé:
4 Vthai the sonne of Amihud the sonne of Omri, the sonne of Imri, the sonne of Bani: of the children of Pharez, the sonne of Iudah.
Outaï, fils d’Ammihoud, fils d’Omri, fils d’Imri, fils de Bâni, issus des fils de Péreç, fils de Juda.
5 And of Shiloni, Asaiah the eldest, and his sonnes.
Des Silonites: Assaïa, l’aîné, et ses fils.
6 And the sonnes of Zerah, Ieuel, and their brethren sixe hundreth and ninetie.
Des Zérahites: Yeouêl; leurs frères étaient six cent quatre-vingt-dix.
7 And of the sonnes of Beniamin, Sallu the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Hodauiah, the sonne of Hasenuah,
Des Benjaminites: Sallou, fils de Mechoullam, fils de Hodavia, fils de Hassenoua;
8 And Ibneiah the sonne of Ieroham, and Elah the sonne of Vzzi, the sonne of Michri, and Meshullam the sonne of Shephatiah, the sonne of Reuel, the sonne of Ibniiah.
Yibneya, fils de Yeroham; Ela, fils d’Ouzzi, fils de Mikhri, et Mechoullam, fils de Chefatia, fils de Reouêl, fils de Yibniya.
9 And their brethren according to their generations nine hundreth, fiftie and sixe: all these men were chiefe fathers in the housholdes of their fathers.
Leurs frères, selon leurs généalogies, étaient au nombre de neuf cent cinquante-six. Tous ces hommes étaient chefs de clans de leurs familles.
10 And of the Priestes, Iedaiah, and Iehoiarib, and Iachin,
Des prêtres: Yedaïa, Yoyarib, Yakhîn,
11 And Azariah the sonne of Hilkiah, ye sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Zadok, the sonne of Meraioth, the sonne of Ahitub the chiefe of the house of God,
Azaria, fils de Hilkia, fils de Mechoullam, fils de Çadok, fils de Meraïot, fils d’Ahitoub, préposé à la maison de Dieu,
12 And Adaiah the sonne of Ieroham, ye sonne of Pashur, the sonne of Malchiiah, and Maasai the sonne of Adiel, the sonne of Iahzerah, the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Meshillemith, the sonne of Immer.
Adaïa, fils de Yeroham, fils de Pachhour, fils de Malkiya, et Massaï, fils d’Adiêl, fils de Yahzêra, fils de Mechoullam, fils de Mechillêmit, fils d’Immer.
13 And their brethre the chiefe of the households of their fathers a thousand, seuen hundreth and three score valiant men, for the worke of the seruice of the house of God.
Leurs frères, chefs de leurs familles, étaient mille sept cent soixante, gens résolus, voués au service du culte de la maison de Dieu.
14 And of the Leuites, Shemaiah the sonne of Hasshub, the sonne of Azrikam, the sonne of Hashabiah of the sonnes of Merari,
Des Lévites: Chemaïa, fils de Hachoub, fils d’Azrikâm, fils de Hachabia, voilà pour les descendants de Merari;
15 And Bakbakkar, Heresh and Galal, and Mattaniah the sonne of Micha, the sonne of Zichri, the sonne of Asaph,
Bakbakkar, Hérech, Galal, Mattania, fils de Mikha, fils de Zikhri, fils d’Assaph;
16 And Obadiah the sonne of Shemaiah, the sonne of Galal, the sonne of Ieduthun, and Berechiah, the sonne of Asa, the sonne of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
Obadia, fils de Chemaïa, fils de Galal, fils de Yedouthoun, et Bérékhia, fils d’Assa, fils d’Elkana, qui habitait les villages de Netofa.
17 And the porters were Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren: Shallum was the chiefe.
Les portiers: Challoum, Akkoub, Talmôn, Ahimân et leurs frères. Challoum était leur chef.
18 For they were porters to this time by companies of the children of Leui vnto the Kinges gate eastward.
Ils sont encore maintenant établis à la Porte du Roi, à l’Est. Ce sont là les portiers des camps des Lévites.
19 And Shallum the sonne of Kore the sonne of Ebiasaph the sonne of Korah, and his brethren the Korathites (of the house of their father) were ouer the worke, and office to keepe the gates of the Tabernacle: so their families were ouer the hoste of the Lord, keeping the entrie.
Et Challoum, fils de Korê, fils d’Ebiassaf, fils de Coré, ainsi que ses frères issus de la famille paternelle les Korahites étaient préposés aux travaux du service; c’étaient les gardiens des entrées du Tabernacle. Leurs ancêtres avaient le service du camp de l’Eternel, en gardaient les avenues.
20 And Phinehas ye sonne of Eleazar was their guide, and the Lord was with him.
Phinéas, fils d’Eléazar, était autrefois leur chef; l’Eternel était avec lui.
21 Zechariah the sonne of Meshelemiah was the porter of the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
Zacharie, fils de Méchélémia, était le portier de l’entrée de la Tente d’assignation.
22 All these were chosen for porters of the gates, two hundreth and twelue, which were nombred according to their genealogies by their townes. Dauid established these and Samuel the Seer in their perpetuall office.
Tous ceux qui avaient été choisis pour être portiers aux seuils étaient au nombre de deux cent douze. Ils demeuraient dans leurs villages inscrits dans un rôle; David et Samuel le Voyant les avaient installés dans leurs fonctions permanentes.
23 So they and their children had the ouersight of the gates of the house of the Lord, euen of the house of the Tabernacle by wardes.
C’Étaient eux et leurs descendants qui étaient préposés aux portes de la maison de l’Eternel, du Tabernacle, selon leur tour de garde.
24 The porters were in foure quarters Eastward, Westward, Northward and Southward.
Les portiers étaient postés aux quatre points cardinaux, à l’Est, à l’Ouest, au Nord et au Sud.
25 And their brethren, which were in their townes, came at seuen dayes from time to time with them.
Leurs frères, qui étaient dans leurs villages, venaient alternativement les rejoindre pour sept jours.
26 For these foure chiefe porters were in perpetuall office, and were of the Leuites and had charge of the chambers, and of the treasures in the house of God.
Car les quatre chefs des portiers, qui étaient Lévites, demeuraient là, eux, d’une manière permanente. Ils étaient préposés aussi aux salles et aux magasins dans la maison de Dieu.
27 And they lay rounde about the house of God, because the charge was theirs, and they caused it to be opened euery morning.
Ils passaient la nuit autour de la maison de Dieu, car ils étaient de garde; et c’étaient eux qui détenaient la clef pour chaque matin.
28 And certaine of them had the rule of the ministring vessels: for they brought them in by tale, and brought them out by tale.
D’Autres avaient la garde des vases du culte: ils les comptaient à l’entrée et à la sortie.
29 Some of them also were appoynted ouer the instruments, and ouer all the vessels of the Sanctuarie, and of the floure, and the wine, and the oyle, and the incense, and the sweete odours.
D’Autres étaient préposés aux ustensiles, à tous ceux du Sanctuaire, à la fleur de farine, au vin, à l’huile, à l’encens et aux aromates.
30 And certaine of the sonnes of the Priestes made oyntments of sweete odours.
Mais c’étaient des prêtres qui préparaient les onctions avec ces aromates.
31 And Mattithiah one of the Leuites which was the eldest sonne of Shallum the Korhite, had the charge of the things that were made in the frying panne.
Mattitia, un des Lévites, l’aîné de Challoum, le Korahite, avait la charge permanente de la confection des gâteaux faits à la poêle.
32 And other of their brethren the sonnes of Kohath had the ouersight of the shewbread to prepare it euery Sabbath.
C’Étaient des Kehatites, leurs frères, qui étaient préposés aux pains de proposition, pour les préparer semaine par semaine.
33 And these are the singers, the chiefe fathers of the Leuites, which dwelt in the chambers, and had none other charge: for they had to do in that busines day and night:
Tels sont les chantres, chefs de familles lévitiques, demeurant dans les chambres, exemptés de tout autre service, car jour et nuit ils avaient à faire.
34 These were the chiefe fathers of the Leuites according to their generations, and the principall which dwelt at Ierusalem.
Tels sont les chefs des familles lévitiques, selon leur généalogie; eux, ils demeuraient à Jérusalem.
35 And in Gibeon dwelt ye father of Gibeon, Ieiel, and the name of his wife was Maachah.
A Gabaon demeuraient le "père" de Gabaon, Yeïêl, dont la femme s’appelait Maakha,
36 And his eldest sonne was Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,
son fils aîné Abdôn, Çour, Kich, Baal, Ner, Nadab,
37 And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.
Ghedor, Ahio, Zekharia et Miklôt.
38 And Mikloth begate Shimeam: they also dwelt with their brethren at Ierusalem, euen by their brethren.
Miklôt engendra Chimeâm. Ceux-là aussi, à l’encontre de leurs frères, habitaient Jérusalem avec leurs frères.
39 And Ner begate Kish, and Kish begate Saul, and Saul begate Ionathan and Malchishua, and Abinadab and Eshbaal.
Ner engendra Kich, celui-ci Saül, celui-ci Jonathan, Malki-Choua, Abinadab et Echbaal.
40 And the sonne of Ionathan was Merib-baal: and Merib-baal begate Micah.
Le fils de Jonathan était Merib-Baal, qui donna le jour à Mikha.
41 And the sonnes of Micah were Pithon, and Melech and Tahrea.
Les fils de Mikha furent: Pitôn, Méléc et Tahrêa.
42 And Ahaz begate Iarah, and Iarah begat Alemeth, and Azmaueth, and Zimri, and Zimri begate Moza.
Ahaz engendra Yara, celui-ci Alémet, Azmavet et Zimri. Zimri engendra Moça,
43 And Moza begate Binea, whose sonne was Rephaiah, and his sonne was Eleasah, and his sonne Azel.
celui-ci Binea, celui-ci Refaïa, celui-ci Elassa, celui-ci Acêl.
44 And Azel had sixe sonnes, whose names are these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ismael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these are the sonnes of Azel.
Acêl eut six fils, dont voici les noms: Azrikâm, Bokhrou, Ismaël, Chearia, Obadia et Hanân. Tels étaient les fils d’Acêl.
