1 Chronicles 6

1 The sonnes of Leui were Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

2 And the sonnes of Kohath, Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Vzziel.

3 And the children of Amram, Aaron, and Moses and Miriam. And the sonnes of Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.

4 Eleazar begate Phinehas. Phinehas begate Abishua,

Naʻe tupu ʻia ʻEliesa ʻa Finiasi, pea tupu ʻia Finiasi ʻa ʻApisua,

5 And Abishua begate Bukki, and Bukki begate Vzzi,

Pea tupu ʻia ʻApisua ʻa Puki, pea tupu ʻia Puki ʻa Usi,

6 And Vzzi begate Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begate Meraioth.

Pea tupu ʻia Usi ʻa Silaia, pea tupu ʻia Silaia ʻa Milaioti,

7 Meraioth begate Amariah, and Amariah begate Ahitub,

Pea naʻe tupu ʻia Milaioti ʻa ʻAmalia, pea tupu ʻia ʻAmalia ʻa ʻAhitupe,

8 And Ahitub begate Zadok, and Zadok begate Ahimaaz,

Pea tupu ʻia ʻAhitupe ʻa Satoki, pea tupu ʻia Satoki ʻa ʻAhimeasi,

9 And Ahimaaz begate Azariah, and Azariah begate Iohanan,

10 And Iohanan begate Azariah (it was hee that was Priest in the house that Salomon built in Ierusalem)

11 And Azariah begate Amariah, and Amariah begate Ahitub,

12 And Ahitub begate Zadok, and Zadok begate Shallum,

13 And Shallum begate Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begate Azariah,

14 And Azariah begate Seraiah, and Seraiah begate Iehozadak,

15 And Iehozadak departed when the Lord caried away into captiuitie Iudah and Ierusalem by the hand of Nebuchad-nezzar.

16 The sonnes of Leui were Gershom, Kohath and Merari.

17 And these be the names of the sonnes of Gershom, Libni, and Shimei.

18 And the sonnes of Kohath were Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron and Vzziel.

19 The sonnes of Merari, Mahli and Mushi: and these are the families of Leui concerning their fathers.

20 Of Gershom, Libni his sonne, Iahath his sonne, Zimmah his sonne,

‌ʻIa Kesomi; ko Lipinai ko hono foha, mo Sehati ko hono foha ʻoʻona, mo Sima ko hono foha ʻoʻona,

21 Ioah his sonne, Iddo his sonne, Zerah his sonne, Ieaterai his sonne.

Mo Soa ko hono foha ʻoʻona, mo Ito ko hono foha ʻoʻona, mo Selaa ko hono foha ʻoʻona, mo Siatelai ko hono foha ʻoʻona.

22 The sonnes of Kohath, Aminadab his sonne, Korah his sonne, Assir his sonne,

23 Elkanah his sonne, and Ebiasaph his sonne, and Assir his sonne,

24 Tahath his sonne, Vriel his sonne, Vzziah his sonne, and Shaul his sonne,

25 And the sonnes of Elkanah, Amasai, and Ahimoth.

26 Elkanah. the sonnes of Elkanah, Zophai his sonne, and Nahath his sonne,

Pea ko ʻElikena: ko e ngaahi foha ʻo ʻElikena; ko Sofei ko hono foha, mo Nehati ko hono foha,

27 Eliab his sonne, Ieroham his sonne, Elkanah his sonne,

Mo ʻIliapi ko hono foha, mo Siloami ko hono foha, mo ʻElikena ko hono foha.

28 And the sonnes of Shemuel, the eldest Vashni, then Abiah.

Pea ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Samuela; ko e ʻuluaki fānau ko Vasini pea mo Epia.

29 The sonnes of Merari were Mahli, Libni his sonne, Shimei his sonne, Vzzah his sonne,

30 Shimea his sonne, Haggiah his sonne, Asaiah his sonne.

31 And these be they whom Dauid set for to sing in the house of the Lord, after that the Arke had rest.

32 And they ministred before the Tabernacle, euen the Tabernacle of the Congregation with singing, vntill Salomon had built ye house of the Lord in Ierusalem: then they continued in their office, according to their custome.

34 The sonne of Elkanah, the sonne of Ieroham, the sonne of Eliel, the sonne of Toah,

Ko e foha ʻo ʻElikena, ko e foha ʻo Siholami, ko e foha ʻo Ilieli, ko e foha ʻo Toa,

35 The sonne of Zuph, the sonne of Elkanah, the sonne of Mahath, the sonne of Amasai,

Ko e foha ʻo Sufi, ko e foha ʻo ʻElikena, ko e foha ʻo Mehati, ko e foha ʻo ʻAmasai,

36 The sonne of Elkanah, the sonne of Ioel, the sonne of Azariah, the sonne of Zephaniah,

Ko e foha ʻo ʻElikena, ko e foha ʻo Soeli, ko e foha ʻo ʻAsalia, ko e foha ʻo Sefania,

37 The sonne of Tahath, the sonne of Assir, the sonne of Ebiasaph, the sonne of Korah,

Ko e foha ʻo Tehati, ko e foha ʻo ʻAsili, ko e foha ʻo Epiasafi, ko e foha ʻo Kola,

38 The sonne of Izhar, the sonne of Kohath, the sonne of Leui, the sonne of Israel.

Ko e foha ʻo ʻIsa, ko e foha ʻo Kohate, ko e foha ʻo Livai, ko e foha ʻo ʻIsileli.

39 And his brother Asaph stoode on his right hand: and Asaph was the sonne of Berechiah, the sonne of Shimea,

Pea ko hono tokoua ko ʻAsafi, ʻaia naʻe tuʻu ki hono nima toʻomataʻu, ʻio, ʻa ʻAsafi ko e foha ʻo Pelekia ko e foha ʻo Simia,

40 The sonne of Michael, the sonne of Baaseiah, the sonne of Malchiah,

Ko e foha ʻo Mikaeli, ko e foha ʻo Peaseia, ko e foha ʻo Malikia,

41 The sonne of Ethni, the sonne of Zerah, the sonne of Adaiah,

Ko e foha ʻo Etini, ko e foha ʻo Sela, ko e foha ʻo ʻAtaia,

42 The sonne of Ethan, the sonne of Zimmah, the sonne of Shimei,

Ko e foha ʻo Etani, ko e foha ʻo Sima, ko e foha ʻo Simi,

43 The sonne of Iahath, the sonne of Gershom, the sonne of Leui.

Ko e foha ʻo Sehati, ko e foha ʻo Kesomi, ko e foha ʻo Livai.

44 And their brethren the sonnes of Merari were on the left hand, euen Ethan the sonne of Kishi, the sonne of Abdi, the sonne of Malluch,

Pea naʻe tutuʻu ʻa honau ngaahi tokoua ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Melali ki he nima toʻohema: ko Etani ko e foha ʻo Kisi, ko e foha ʻo ʻApiti, ko e foha ʻo Maluki,

45 The sonne of Hashabiah, the sonne of Amaziah, the sonne of Hilkiah,

Ko e foha ʻo Hesapia, ko e foha ʻo ʻAmasia, ko e foha ʻo Hilikia,

46 The sonne of Amzi, the sonne of Bani, the sonne of Shamer,

Ko e foha ʻo ʻAmisi, ko e foha ʻo Pani, ko e foha ʻo Sameli,

47 The sonne of Mahli, the sonne of Mushi, the sonne of Merari, the sonne of Leui.

Ko e foha ʻo Mali, ko e foha ʻo Musi, ko e foha ʻo Melali, ko e foha ʻo Livai.

48 And their brethren the Leuites were appointed vnto all the seruice of the Tabernacle of the house of God,

49 But Aaron and his sonnes burnt incense vpon the altar of burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, for all that was to do in the most holy place, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the seruant of God had commanded.

50 These are also the sonnes of Aaron, Eleazar his sonne, Phinehas his sonne, Abishua his sonne,

Pea ko e ngaahi foha eni ʻo ʻElone ko hono foha ko ʻEliesa, mo hono foha ko Finiasi, mo hono foha ko ʻApisua,

51 Bukki his sonne, Vzzi his sonne, Zerahiah his sonne,

Ko hono foha ko Puki, mo hono foha ko Usi, mo hono foha ko Silaia,

52 Meraioth his sonne, Amariah his sonne, Ahitub his sonne,

Mo Milaioti ko hono foha, mo ʻAmalia ko hono foha, mo ʻAhitupe ko hono foha,

53 Zadok his sonne, and Ahimaaz his sonne.

Ko Satoki ko hono foha, mo ʻAhimeasi ko hono foha.

54 And these are the dwelling places of them throughout their townes and coastes, euen of the sonnes of Aaron for the familie of the Kohathites, for the lot was theirs.

Pea ko eni ia ʻa honau ngaahi nofoʻanga ʻi honau ngaahi kolo mālohi ʻo honau fonua, ʻi he ngaahi foha ʻo ʻElone, mo e ngaahi faʻahinga ʻoe kakai Kohate: he naʻe ʻonautolu ʻae tohi ʻoe talotalo.

55 So they gaue them Hebron in the lande of Iudah and the suburbes thereof rounde about it.

Pea naʻa nau foaki ʻa Hepeloni kiate kinautolu ʻi he fonua ʻo Siuta, pea mo e ngaahi potu naʻe tuʻu takatakai ʻo ofi ki ai.

56 But the fielde of the citie, and the villages thereof they gaue to Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh.

Ka ko e ngaahi ngoue ʻoe kolo, mo hono ngaahi potu kakai siʻi, naʻa nau foaki ia kia Kelepi ko e foha ʻo Sifune.

57 And to the sonnes of Aaron they gaue the cities of Iudah for refuge, euen Hebron and Libna with their suburbes, and Iattir, and Eshtemoa with their suburbes,

Pea ki he ngaahi foha ʻo ʻElone naʻa nau foaki ʻae ngaahi kolo ʻo Siuta, ʻio, ʻa Hepeloni, ko e [kolo ]hūfanga, mo Lipina mo hono ngaahi potu ofi ʻo ia, mo Satili, mo Esitimoa, mo honau ngaahi potu ofi,

58 And Hilen with her suburbes, and Debir with her suburbes,

Mo Heleni mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo Tipa mo hono ngaahi potu ofi,

59 And Ashan and her suburbes, and Bethshemesh and her suburbes:

Mo ʻAsani mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo Pete-Semesi mo hono ngaahi potu ofi:

60 And of the tribe of Beniamin, Geba and her suburbes, and Alemeth with her suburbes, and Anathoth with her suburbes: all their cities were thirteene cities by their families.

Pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Penisimani; ko Kepa mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo ʻAlemeti mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo ʻAnatoti mo hono ngaahi potu ofi. Ko honau ngaahi kolo ki honau faʻahinga kotoa pē ko e kolo ʻe hongofulu ma tolu.

61 And vnto the sonnes of Kohath the remnant of the familie of the tribe, euen of the halfe tribe of the halfe of Manasseh, by lot ten cities.

Pea [naʻe foaki ]ʻae kolo ʻe hongofulu ʻo tatau mo e tohi ʻoe talotalo, mei hono vaheua ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Manase, ki he ngaahi foha ʻo Kohate, ʻakinautolu naʻe kei toe ʻi he fānau ʻoe faʻahinga ko ia.

62 And to the sonnes of Gershom according to their families out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteene cities.

Pea [naʻe foaki ]ʻae kolo ʻe hongofulu ma tolu ki he ngaahi foha ʻo Kesomi ʻi honau ngaahi faʻahinga kotoa pē, mei he faʻahinga ʻo ʻIsaka, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo ʻAseli, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Nafitali, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Manase ʻi Pesani.

63 Vnto the sonnes of Merari according to their families out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, by lot twelue cities.

[Naʻe foaki ]ʻae kolo ʻe hongofulu ma ua ki he ngaahi foha ʻo Melali ʻi he talotalo, ki honau ngaahi faʻahinga, mei he faʻahinga ʻo Lupeni, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Kata, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Sepuloni.

64 Thus the children of Israel gaue to the Leuites cities with their suburbes.

Pea naʻe foaki ʻe he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ki he kau Livai ʻae ngaahi kolo ni mo e ngaahi potu ofi ki ai.

65 And they gaue by lot out of the tribe of the children of Iudah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Beniamin, these cities, which they called by their names.

Pea naʻa nau foaki ʻi he talotalo, mei he faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Siuta, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Simione, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Penisimani, ʻae ngaahi kolo ko eni, ʻaia ʻoku ui ʻaki ʻa honau hingoa.

66 And they of the families of the sonnes of Kohath, had cities and their coastes out of the tribe of Ephraim.

Pea ko hono toe ʻoe ngaahi faʻahinga ʻoe ngaahi foha ʻo Kohate naʻe ʻonautolu ʻae ngaahi kolo ʻo honau fonua mei he faʻahinga ʻo ʻIfalemi.

67 And they gaue vnto them cities of refuge, Shechem in mount Ephraim, and her suburbes, and Gezer and her suburbes,

Pea naʻa nau foaki kiate kinautolu, mei he ngaahi kolo hūfanga, ʻa Sikemi ʻi he moʻunga ko ʻIfalemi mo e ngaahi potu ofi ki ai; pea [naʻa nau foaki ]foki ʻa Kesa mo hono ngaahi potu ofi,

68 Iokmeam also and her suburbes, and Bethhoron with her suburbes,

Mo Sokimiami mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo Pete-Holoni mo hono ngaahi potu ofi,

69 And Aialon and her suburbes, and Gath Rimmon and her suburbes,

Pea mo ʻAsaloni mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo Kati-Limoni mo hono ngaahi potu ofi:

70 And out of the halfe tribe of Manasseh, Aner and her suburbes, and Bileam and her suburbes, for the families of the remnant of the sonnes of Kohath.

Pea mei hono vaheua ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Manase; ko ʻAneli mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo Piliami mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, ki he fānau naʻe toe ʻoe ngaahi foha ʻo Kohate.

71 Vnto the sonnes of Gershom out of the familie of the halfe tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan, and her suburbes, and Ashtaroth with her suburbes,

[Naʻe foaki ]ki he ngaahi foha ʻo Kesomi mei he fānau ʻoe vaheua ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Manase, ʻa Kolani ʻi Pesani mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo ʻAsitelote mo hono ngaahi potu ofi:

72 And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kedesh and her suburbes, Daberath and her suburbes,

Pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo ʻIsaka; ko Ketesi mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo Tapilati mo hono ngaahi potu ofi,

73 Ramoth also and her suburbes, and Anem with her suburbes,

Mo Lemoti mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo ʻAnemi mo hono ngaahi potu ofi:

74 And out of the tribe of Asher, Mashal and her suburbes, and Abdon and her suburbes,

Pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo ʻAseli; ko Masali mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo ʻApitoni mo hono ngaahi potu ofi,

75 And Hukok and her suburbs, and Rehob and her suburbes,

Mo Hukoki mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo Lehopi mo hono ngaahi potu ofi:

76 And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilea and her suburbes, and Hammon and her suburbes, and Kiriathaim and her suburbes.

Pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Nafitali; ko Ketesi ʻi Kāleli mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo Hamoni mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo Kesatemi mo hono ngaahi potu ofi.

77 Vnto the rest of the children of Merari were giuen out of ye tribe of Zebulun Rimmon and her suburbes, Tabor and her suburbes,

Pea ki hono toe ʻoe fānau ʻa Melali [naʻe foaki ]mei he faʻahinga ʻa Sepuloni, ʻa Limoni mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo Tepoa mo hono ngaahi potu ofi:

78 And on the other side Iorden by Iericho, euen on the Eastside of Iorden, out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wildernesse with her suburbes, and Iahzah with her suburbes,

Pea ʻi he kau vai ʻe taha ʻo Soatani ʻo ofi ki Seliko, ʻi he kau vai ʻa Soatani ki he feituʻu hahake, [naʻe ]foaki mei he faʻahinga ʻa Lupeni, ʻa Peseli ʻi he toafa mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo Sasa mo hono ngaahi potu ofi,

79 And Kedemoth with her suburbes, and Mephaath with her suburbes,

Ko Ketimote foki mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo Mefata mo hono ngaahi potu ofi:

80 And out of the tribe of Gad Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbes, and Mahanaim with her suburbes,

Pea mei he faʻahinga ʻa Kata; ko Lemoti ʻi Kiliati mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo Mehanemi mo hono ngaahi potu ofi,

81 And Heshbon with her suburbes, and Iaazer with her suburbes.

Mo Hesiponi mo hono ngaahi potu ofi, mo Saseli mo hono ngaahi potu ofi.
