1 Chronicles 6
1 The sonnes of Leui were Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
filii Levi Gersom Caath Merari
2 And the sonnes of Kohath, Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Vzziel.
filii Caath Amram Isaar Hebron et Ozihel
3 And the children of Amram, Aaron, and Moses and Miriam. And the sonnes of Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.

4 Eleazar begate Phinehas. Phinehas begate Abishua,
Eleazar genuit Finees et Finees genuit Abisue
5 And Abishua begate Bukki, and Bukki begate Vzzi,
Abisue vero genuit Bocci et Bocci genuit Ozi
6 And Vzzi begate Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begate Meraioth.
Ozi genuit Zaraiam et Zaraias genuit Meraioth
7 Meraioth begate Amariah, and Amariah begate Ahitub,
porro Meraioth genuit Amariam et Amarias genuit Ahitob
8 And Ahitub begate Zadok, and Zadok begate Ahimaaz,
Ahitob genuit Sadoc Sadoc genuit Achimaas
9 And Ahimaaz begate Azariah, and Azariah begate Iohanan,
Achimaas genuit Azariam Azarias genuit Iohanan
10 And Iohanan begate Azariah (it was hee that was Priest in the house that Salomon built in Ierusalem)
Iohanan genuit Azariam ipse est qui sacerdotio functus est in domo quam aedificavit Salomon in Hierusalem
11 And Azariah begate Amariah, and Amariah begate Ahitub,
genuit autem Azarias Amariam et Amarias genuit Ahitob
12 And Ahitub begate Zadok, and Zadok begate Shallum,
Ahitob genuit Sadoc et Sadoc genuit Sellum
13 And Shallum begate Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begate Azariah,
Sellum genuit Helciam et Helcias genuit Azariam
14 And Azariah begate Seraiah, and Seraiah begate Iehozadak,
Azarias genuit Saraiam et Saraias genuit Iosedec
15 And Iehozadak departed when the Lord caried away into captiuitie Iudah and Ierusalem by the hand of Nebuchad-nezzar.
porro Iosedec egressus est quando transtulit Dominus Iudam et Hierusalem per manus Nabuchodonosor
16 The sonnes of Leui were Gershom, Kohath and Merari.

17 And these be the names of the sonnes of Gershom, Libni, and Shimei.
et haec nomina filiorum Gersom Lobeni et Semei
18 And the sonnes of Kohath were Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron and Vzziel.

19 The sonnes of Merari, Mahli and Mushi: and these are the families of Leui concerning their fathers.
filii Merari Mooli et Musi hae autem cognationes Levi secundum familias eorum
20 Of Gershom, Libni his sonne, Iahath his sonne, Zimmah his sonne,
Gersom Lobeni filius eius Iaath filius eius Zamma filius eius
21 Ioah his sonne, Iddo his sonne, Zerah his sonne, Ieaterai his sonne.
Ioaa filius eius Addo filius eius Zara filius eius Iethrai filius eius
22 The sonnes of Kohath, Aminadab his sonne, Korah his sonne, Assir his sonne,
filii Caath Aminadab filius eius Core filius eius Asir filius eius
23 Elkanah his sonne, and Ebiasaph his sonne, and Assir his sonne,
Helcana filius eius Abiasaph filius eius Asir filius eius
24 Tahath his sonne, Vriel his sonne, Vzziah his sonne, and Shaul his sonne,
Thaath filius eius Urihel filius eius Ozias filius eius Saul filius eius
25 And the sonnes of Elkanah, Amasai, and Ahimoth.

26 Elkanah. the sonnes of Elkanah, Zophai his sonne, and Nahath his sonne,
Helcana filii Helcana Sophai filius eius Naath filius eius
27 Eliab his sonne, Ieroham his sonne, Elkanah his sonne,
Heliab filius eius Hieroam filius eius Helcana filius eius
28 And the sonnes of Shemuel, the eldest Vashni, then Abiah.
filii Samuhel primogenitus Vasseni et Abia
29 The sonnes of Merari were Mahli, Libni his sonne, Shimei his sonne, Vzzah his sonne,
filii autem Merari Mooli Lobeni filius eius Semei filius eius Oza filius eius
30 Shimea his sonne, Haggiah his sonne, Asaiah his sonne.
Samaa filius eius Aggia filius eius Asaia filius eius
31 And these be they whom Dauid set for to sing in the house of the Lord, after that the Arke had rest.
isti sunt quos constituit David super cantores domus Domini ex quo conlocata est arca
32 And they ministred before the Tabernacle, euen the Tabernacle of the Congregation with singing, vntill Salomon had built ye house of the Lord in Ierusalem: then they continued in their office, according to their custome.
et ministrabant coram tabernaculo testimonii canentes donec aedificaret Salomon domum Domini in Hierusalem stabant autem iuxta ordinem suum in ministerio
33 And these ministred with their children: of the sonnes of Kohath, Heman a singer, the sonne of Ioel, the sonne of Shemuel,
hii vero sunt qui adsistebant cum filiis suis de filiis Caath Heman cantor filius Iohel filii Samuhel
34 The sonne of Elkanah, the sonne of Ieroham, the sonne of Eliel, the sonne of Toah,
filii Helcana filii Hieroam filii Helihel filii Thou
35 The sonne of Zuph, the sonne of Elkanah, the sonne of Mahath, the sonne of Amasai,
filii Suph filii Helcana filii Maath filii Amasai
36 The sonne of Elkanah, the sonne of Ioel, the sonne of Azariah, the sonne of Zephaniah,
filii Helcana filii Iohel filii Azariae filii Sophoniae
37 The sonne of Tahath, the sonne of Assir, the sonne of Ebiasaph, the sonne of Korah,
filii Thaath filii Asir filii Abiasaph filii Core
38 The sonne of Izhar, the sonne of Kohath, the sonne of Leui, the sonne of Israel.
filii Isaar filii Caath filii Levi filii Israhel
39 And his brother Asaph stoode on his right hand: and Asaph was the sonne of Berechiah, the sonne of Shimea,
et fratres eius Asaph qui stabat a dextris eius Asaph filius Barachiae filii Samaa
40 The sonne of Michael, the sonne of Baaseiah, the sonne of Malchiah,
filii Michahel filii Basiae filii Melchiae
41 The sonne of Ethni, the sonne of Zerah, the sonne of Adaiah,
filii Athnai filii Zara filii Adaia
42 The sonne of Ethan, the sonne of Zimmah, the sonne of Shimei,
filii Ethan filii Zamma filii Semei
43 The sonne of Iahath, the sonne of Gershom, the sonne of Leui.

44 And their brethren the sonnes of Merari were on the left hand, euen Ethan the sonne of Kishi, the sonne of Abdi, the sonne of Malluch,
filii autem Merari fratres eorum ad sinistram Ethan filius Cusi filii Abdi filii Maloch
45 The sonne of Hashabiah, the sonne of Amaziah, the sonne of Hilkiah,
filii Asabiae filii Amasiae filii Helciae
46 The sonne of Amzi, the sonne of Bani, the sonne of Shamer,
filii Amasai filii Bonni filii Somer
47 The sonne of Mahli, the sonne of Mushi, the sonne of Merari, the sonne of Leui.
filii Mooli filii Musi filii Merari filii Levi
48 And their brethren the Leuites were appointed vnto all the seruice of the Tabernacle of the house of God,
fratres quoque eorum Levitae qui ordinati sunt in cunctum ministerium tabernaculi domus Domini
49 But Aaron and his sonnes burnt incense vpon the altar of burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, for all that was to do in the most holy place, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the seruant of God had commanded.
Aaron vero et filii eius adolebant incensum super altare holocausti et super altare thymiamatis in omne opus sancti sanctorum et ut precarentur pro Israhel iuxta omnia quae praecepit Moses servus Dei
50 These are also the sonnes of Aaron, Eleazar his sonne, Phinehas his sonne, Abishua his sonne,
hii sunt autem filii Aaron Eleazar filius eius Finees filius eius Abisue filius eius
51 Bukki his sonne, Vzzi his sonne, Zerahiah his sonne,
Bocci filius eius Ozi filius eius Zaraia filius eius
52 Meraioth his sonne, Amariah his sonne, Ahitub his sonne,
Meraioth filius eius Amaria filius eius Ahitob filius eius
53 Zadok his sonne, and Ahimaaz his sonne.
Sadoc filius eius Achimaas filius eius
54 And these are the dwelling places of them throughout their townes and coastes, euen of the sonnes of Aaron for the familie of the Kohathites, for the lot was theirs.
et haec habitacula eorum per vicos atque confinia filiorum scilicet Aaron iuxta cognationes Caathitarum ipsis enim sorte contigerat
55 So they gaue them Hebron in the lande of Iudah and the suburbes thereof rounde about it.
dederunt igitur eis Hebron in terra Iuda et suburbana eius per circuitum
56 But the fielde of the citie, and the villages thereof they gaue to Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh.
agros autem civitatis et villas Chaleb filio Iephonne
57 And to the sonnes of Aaron they gaue the cities of Iudah for refuge, euen Hebron and Libna with their suburbes, and Iattir, and Eshtemoa with their suburbes,
porro filiis Aaron dederunt civitates ad confugiendum Hebron et Lobna et suburbana eius
58 And Hilen with her suburbes, and Debir with her suburbes,
Iether quoque et Esthmo cum suburbanis suis sed et Helon et Dabir cum suburbanis suis
59 And Ashan and her suburbes, and Bethshemesh and her suburbes:
Asan quoque et Bethsemes et suburbana eorum
60 And of the tribe of Beniamin, Geba and her suburbes, and Alemeth with her suburbes, and Anathoth with her suburbes: all their cities were thirteene cities by their families.
de tribu autem Beniamin Gabee et suburbana eius et Almath cum suburbanis suis Anathoth quoque cum suburbanis suis omnes civitates tredecim per cognationes suas
61 And vnto the sonnes of Kohath the remnant of the familie of the tribe, euen of the halfe tribe of the halfe of Manasseh, by lot ten cities.
filiis autem Caath residuis de cognatione sua dederunt ex dimidia tribu Manasse in possessionem urbes decem
62 And to the sonnes of Gershom according to their families out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteene cities.
porro filiis Gersom per cognationes suas de tribu Isachar et de tribu Aser et de tribu Nepthali et de tribu Manasse in Basan urbes tredecim
63 Vnto the sonnes of Merari according to their families out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, by lot twelue cities.
filiis autem Merari per cognationes suas de tribu Ruben et de tribu Gad et de tribu Zabulon dederunt sorte civitates duodecim
64 Thus the children of Israel gaue to the Leuites cities with their suburbes.
dederunt quoque filii Israhel Levitis civitates et suburbana earum
65 And they gaue by lot out of the tribe of the children of Iudah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Beniamin, these cities, which they called by their names.
dederuntque per sortem ex tribu filiorum Iuda et ex tribu filiorum Symeon et ex tribu filiorum Beniamin urbes has quas vocaverunt nominibus suis
66 And they of the families of the sonnes of Kohath, had cities and their coastes out of the tribe of Ephraim.
et his qui erant ex cognatione filiorum Caath fueruntque civitates in terminis eorum de tribu Ephraim
67 And they gaue vnto them cities of refuge, Shechem in mount Ephraim, and her suburbes, and Gezer and her suburbes,
dederunt ergo eis urbes ad confugiendum Sychem cum suburbanis suis in monte Ephraim et Gazer cum suburbanis suis
68 Iokmeam also and her suburbes, and Bethhoron with her suburbes,
Hicmaam quoque cum suburbanis suis et Bethoron similiter
69 And Aialon and her suburbes, and Gath Rimmon and her suburbes,
necnon et Helon cum suburbanis suis et Gethremmon in eundem modum
70 And out of the halfe tribe of Manasseh, Aner and her suburbes, and Bileam and her suburbes, for the families of the remnant of the sonnes of Kohath.
porro ex dimidia tribu Manasse Aner et suburbana eius Balaam et suburbana eius his videlicet qui de cognatione filiorum Caath reliqui erant
71 Vnto the sonnes of Gershom out of the familie of the halfe tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan, and her suburbes, and Ashtaroth with her suburbes,
filiis autem Gersom de cognatione dimidiae tribus Manasse Gaulon in Basan et suburbana eius et Astharoth cum suburbanis suis
72 And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kedesh and her suburbes, Daberath and her suburbes,
de tribu Isachar Cedes et suburbana eius et Dabereth cum suburbanis suis
73 Ramoth also and her suburbes, and Anem with her suburbes,
Ramoth quoque et suburbana illius et Anem cum suburbanis suis
74 And out of the tribe of Asher, Mashal and her suburbes, and Abdon and her suburbes,
de tribu vero Aser Masal cum suburbanis suis et Abdon similiter
75 And Hukok and her suburbs, and Rehob and her suburbes,
Acac quoque et suburbana eius et Roob cum suburbanis suis
76 And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilea and her suburbes, and Hammon and her suburbes, and Kiriathaim and her suburbes.
porro de tribu Nepthali Cedes in Galilea et suburbana eius Amon cum suburbanis suis et Cariathaim et suburbana eius
77 Vnto the rest of the children of Merari were giuen out of ye tribe of Zebulun Rimmon and her suburbes, Tabor and her suburbes,
filiis autem Merari residuis de tribu Zabulon Remmono et suburbana eius et Thabor cum suburbanis suis
78 And on the other side Iorden by Iericho, euen on the Eastside of Iorden, out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wildernesse with her suburbes, and Iahzah with her suburbes,
trans Iordanem quoque ex adverso Hiericho contra orientem Iordanis de tribu Ruben Bosor in solitudine cum suburbanis suis et Iasa cum suburbanis suis
79 And Kedemoth with her suburbes, and Mephaath with her suburbes,
Cademoth quoque et suburbana eius et Miphaath cum suburbanis suis
80 And out of the tribe of Gad Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbes, and Mahanaim with her suburbes,
necnon de tribu Gad Ramoth in Galaad et suburbana eius et Manaim cum suburbanis suis
81 And Heshbon with her suburbes, and Iaazer with her suburbes.
