1 Chronicles 5
1 The sonnes also of Reuben the eldest sonne of Israel (for he was the eldest, but had defiled his fathers bed, therefore his birthright was giuen vnto the sonnes of Ioseph the sonne of Israel, so that the genealogie is not rekoned after his birthright.
OR [questi furono] i figliuoli di Ruben, primogenito d'Israele (perciocchè egli [era] il primogenito; ma dopo ch'ebbe contaminato il letto di suo padre, la sua primogenitura fu data a' figliuoli di Giuseppe, figliuolo d'Israele; non però per tenere il luogo della primogenitura nella genealogia.
2 For Iudah preuailed aboue his brethren, and of him came the prince, but the birthright was Iosephs)
Perciocchè Giuda ebbe la maggioranza sopra i suoi fratelli; e di lui [sono] usciti i conduttori; ma [il diritto del]la primogenitura [fu dato] a Giuseppe).
3 The sonnes of Reuben the eldest sonne of Israel, were Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi.
I figliuoli, [dico], di Ruben, primogenito d'Israele, [furono] Hanoc, e Pallu, Hesron, e Carmi.
4 The sonnes of Ioel, Shemaiah his sonne, Gog his sonne, and Shimei his sonne,
Il figliuolo di Ioel [fu] Semaia, di cui [fu] figliuolo Gog, di cui [fu] figliuolo Simi,
5 Michah his sonne, Reaiah his sonne, and Baal his sonne,
di cui [fu] figliuolo Mica, di cui [fu] figliuolo Reaia, di cui [fu] figliuolo Baal,
6 Beerah his sonne: whom Tilgath Pilneeser King of Asshur caryed away: he was a prince of the Reubenites.
di cui [fu] figliuolo Beera, il quale Tilgat-pilneser, re degli Assiri, meno in cattività. Esso [fu] capo principale de' Rubeniti.
7 And when his brethren in their families rekoned the genealogie of their generations, Ieiel and Zechariah were the chiefe,
E de' suoi fratelli, per le lor famiglie, quando la lor genealogia fu composta per le lor generazioni, i capi [furono] Ieiel, e Zaccaria, e Bela,
8 And Bela the sonne of Azaz, the sonne of Shema, the sonne of Ioel, which dwelt in Aroer, euen vnto Nebo and Baal meon.
figliuolo di Azaz, figliuolo di Sema, figliuolo di Ioel. Esso abitò in Aroer, fino a Nebo, ed a Baal-meon.
9 Also Eastwarde he inhabited vnto the entring in of the wildernes from the riuer Perath for they had much cattel in the land of Gilead.
Dipoi egli abitò verso il Levante, dal fiume Eufrate, fino all'entrata del deserto; perciocchè i lor bestiami erano moltiplicati nel paese di Galaad.
10 And in the dayes of Saul they warred with the Hagarims, which fell by their hands: and they dwelt in their tentes in all the East partes of Gilead.
Laonde, al tempo di Saulle, fecero guerra contro agli Hagareni, i quali caddero uccisi per le lor mani; ed essi abitarono nelle loro stanze, lungo tutta la parte orientale di Galaad.
11 And the children of Gad dwelt ouer against them in the land of Bashan, vnto Salchah.
E I figliuoli di Gad abitarono dirimpetto a loro, nel paese di Basan, fino a Salca.
12 Ioel was the chiefest, and Shapham the second, but Iaanai and Shaphat were in Bashan.
Ioel [fu] il capo principale in Basan, e Safan, il secondo; poi Ianai, poi Safat.
13 And their brethren of the house of their fathers were Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Sorai, and Iacan, and Zia and Eber, seuen.
E i lor fratelli, secondo le famiglie loro paterne, [furono] Micael, e Mesullam, e Seba, e Iorai, e Iacan, e Zia, ed Eber; sette [in tutto].
14 These are the childre of Abihail, the sonne of Huri, the sonne of Iaroah, the sonne of Gilead, the sonne of Michael, the sonne of Ieshishai, the sonne of Iahdo, the sonne of Buz.
Questi [erano] figliuoli di Abihail, figliuolo di Huri, figliuolo di Iaroa, figliuolo di Galaad, figliuolo di Micael, figliuolo di Iesisai, figliuolo di Iado, figliuolo di Buz.
15 Ahi the sonne of Abdiel, the sonne of Guni was chiefe of the houshold of their fathers.
Ahi, figliuolo di Abdiel, figliuolo di Guni, [fu] il capo principale delle famiglie loro paterne.
16 And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in the townes thereof, and in all the suburbes of Sharon by their borders.
Ed essi abitarono in Galaad, ed in Basan, e nelle terre del suo territorio, ed in tutto il contado di Saron, fino alle sue uscite.
17 All these were rekoned by genealogies in the dayes of Iotham King of Iudah, and in the dayes of Ieroboam King of Israel.
La genealogia di tutti costoro fu composta per le lor generazioni al tempo di Giotam, re di Giuda, ed al tempo di Geroboamo, re d'Israele.
18 The sonnes of Reuben and of Gad, and of halfe the tribe of Manasseh of those that were viliant men, able to beare shield, and sworde, and to draw a bowe, exercised in warre, were foure and fourtie thousand, seuen hundreth and three score, that went out to the warre.
I figliuoli di Ruben, e i Gaditi, e la mezza tribù di Manasse, [in numero di] quarantaquattromila settecensessanta d'infra gli uomini prodi, che portavano scudo e spada, e tiravano l'arco, ed erano ammaestrati alla guerra, per uscir fuori in battaglia,
19 And they made warre with the Hagarims, with Ietur, and Naphish, and Nodab.
fecero guerra agli Hagareni, ed a Ietur, ed a Nafis, ed a Nodab.
20 And they were holpen against them, and the Hagarims were deliuered into their hande, and all that were with them: for they cryed to God in the battel, and he heard them, because they trusted in him.
Ed ebbero soccorso contro a loro; talchè gli Hagareni, e tutti quelli che [erano] con loro furono dati nelle lor mani; perciocchè essi gridarono a Dio nella battaglia, ed egli li esaudì; perciocchè si erano confidati in lui.
21 And they led away their cattel, euen their camels fiftie thousand, and two hundreth, and fiftie thousand sheepe, and two thousand asses, and of persons an hundreth thousand.
E presero i lor bestiami, [in numero di] cinquantamila cammelli, e dugencinquantamila pecore, duemila asini, e centomila anime umane.
22 For many fel downe wounded, because the warre was of God. And they dwelt in their steads vntill the captiuitie.
Perciocchè molti erano caduti uccisi; perchè quella battaglia [era] da Dio; ed essi abitarono in luogo loro fino al tempo della cattività.
23 And the children of the halfe tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land, from Baashan vnto Baal Hermon, and Senir, and vnto mount Hermon: for they increased.
I FIGLIUOLI della mezza tribù di Manasse abitarono anch'essi in quel paese; e moltiplicarono da Basan fino a Baal-hermon, ed a Senir, ed alla montagna di Hermon.
24 And these were the heads of the housholds of their fathers, euen Epher and Ishi, and Eliel and Azriel, and Ieremiah, and Hodauiah, and Iahdiel, strong men, valiant and famous, heades of the housholdes of their fathers.
E questi [furono] i capi delle lor famiglie paterne: Efer, ed Isi, ed Eliel, ed Azriel, e Geremia, ed Hodavia, e Iadiel, uomini di valore, e famosi, capi delle lor famiglie paterne.
25 But they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the lande, whome God had destroyed before them.
Ma essi commisero misfatto contro all'Iddio de' lor padri, e fornicarono dietro agl'iddii de' popoli del paese, i quali il Signore avea distrutti d'innanzi a loro.
26 And the God of Israel stirred vp the spirit of Pul king of Asshur, and the spirite of Tilgath Pilneeser king of Asshur, and he caryed them away: euen the Reubenites and the Gadites, and the halfe tribe of Manasseh, and brought them vnto Halah and Habor, and Hara, and to the riuer Gozan, vnto this day.
Laonde l'Iddio d'Israele eccitò lo spirito di Pul, re degli Assiri; e lo spirito di Tilgat-pilneser, re degli Assiri, i quali ne menarono in cattività i Rubeniti, e i Gaditi, e la mezza tribù di Manasse; e li condussero in Hala, ed in Habor, ed in Hara, e [presso al] fiume Gozan, [dove son] restati fino al dì d'oggi.
