1 Chronicles 5
1 The sonnes also of Reuben the eldest sonne of Israel (for he was the eldest, but had defiled his fathers bed, therefore his birthright was giuen vnto the sonnes of Ioseph the sonne of Israel, so that the genealogie is not rekoned after his birthright.
Anak-anak Ruben, anak sulung Israel. Dialah anak sulung, tetapi karena ia telah melanggar kesucian petiduran ayahnya, maka hak kesulungannya diberikan kepada keturunan dari Yusuf, anak Israel juga, sekalipun tidak tercatat dalam silsilah sebagai anak sulung.
2 For Iudah preuailed aboue his brethren, and of him came the prince, but the birthright was Iosephs)
Memang Yehudalah yang melebihi saudara-saudaranya, bahkan salah seorang dari antaranya menjadi raja, tetapi hak sulung itu ada pada Yusuf.
3 The sonnes of Reuben the eldest sonne of Israel, were Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi.
Anak-anak Ruben, anak sulung Israel, ialah Henokh, Palu, Hezron dan Karmi.
4 The sonnes of Ioel, Shemaiah his sonne, Gog his sonne, and Shimei his sonne,
Keturunan Yoel ialah Semaya, anaknya; anak orang ini ialah Gog, anak orang ini ialah Simei;
5 Michah his sonne, Reaiah his sonne, and Baal his sonne,
anak orang ini ialah Mikha; anak orang ini ialah Reaya; anak orang ini ialah Baal;
6 Beerah his sonne: whom Tilgath Pilneeser King of Asshur caryed away: he was a prince of the Reubenites.
anak orang ini ialah Beera yang diangkut ke dalam pembuangan oleh Tilgat-Pilneser, raja Asyur; dialah pemimpin orang Ruben.
7 And when his brethren in their families rekoned the genealogie of their generations, Ieiel and Zechariah were the chiefe,
Saudara-saudaranya menurut kaum-kaumnya, seperti tercatat dalam silsilah menurut keturunan mereka, ialah Yeiel, kepala, lalu Zakharia,
8 And Bela the sonne of Azaz, the sonne of Shema, the sonne of Ioel, which dwelt in Aroer, euen vnto Nebo and Baal meon.
dan Bela bin Azas bin Sema bin Yoel; dialah yang diam di Aroer dan wilayahnya sampai ke Nebo dan Baal-Meon.
9 Also Eastwarde he inhabited vnto the entring in of the wildernes from the riuer Perath for they had much cattel in the land of Gilead.
Dan ke sebelah timur wilayahnya sampai ke pinggir padang gurun yang terbentang mulai dari sungai Efrat, sebab ternak mereka telah bertambah banyak di tanah Gilead.
10 And in the dayes of Saul they warred with the Hagarims, which fell by their hands: and they dwelt in their tentes in all the East partes of Gilead.
Di zaman Saul mereka melakukan perang melawan orang Hagri; setelah orang-orang ini jatuh ke dalam tangan mereka, maka mereka diam di kemah-kemah orang-orang itu di seluruh sisi timur Gilead.
11 And the children of Gad dwelt ouer against them in the land of Bashan, vnto Salchah.
Bani Gad diam berbatasan dengan mereka di tanah Basan sampai Salkha.
12 Ioel was the chiefest, and Shapham the second, but Iaanai and Shaphat were in Bashan.
Yoel adalah kepala dan Safam orang kedua; juga Yaenai dan Safat diam di Basan.
13 And their brethren of the house of their fathers were Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Sorai, and Iacan, and Zia and Eber, seuen.
Saudara-saudara mereka menurut puak-puak mereka ialah Mikhael, Mesulam, Syeba, Yorai, Yakan, Ziya dan Eber, tujuh orang.
14 These are the childre of Abihail, the sonne of Huri, the sonne of Iaroah, the sonne of Gilead, the sonne of Michael, the sonne of Ieshishai, the sonne of Iahdo, the sonne of Buz.
Itulah anak-anak Abihail bin Huri bin Yaroah bin Gilead bin Mikhael bin Yesisai bin Yahdo bin Bus.
15 Ahi the sonne of Abdiel, the sonne of Guni was chiefe of the houshold of their fathers.
Ahi bin Abdiel bin Guni ialah salah seorang kepala puak mereka.
16 And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in the townes thereof, and in all the suburbes of Sharon by their borders.
Mereka diam di Gilead, di Basan, dan di segala anak kotanya dan di segala tanah penggembalaan Saron sampai ke ujung-ujungnya.
17 All these were rekoned by genealogies in the dayes of Iotham King of Iudah, and in the dayes of Ieroboam King of Israel.
Mereka sekalian dicatat dalam silsilah pada zaman Yotam, raja Yehuda, dan pada zaman Yerobeam, raja Israel.
18 The sonnes of Reuben and of Gad, and of halfe the tribe of Manasseh of those that were viliant men, able to beare shield, and sworde, and to draw a bowe, exercised in warre, were foure and fourtie thousand, seuen hundreth and three score, that went out to the warre.
Dari bani Ruben, orang Gad dan setengah suku Manasye ada empat puluh empat ribu tujuh ratus enam puluh orang yang sanggup berperang, orang-orang yang tangkas, yang dapat memanggul perisai dan pedang dan melentur busur panah, yang terlatih dalam bertempur.
19 And they made warre with the Hagarims, with Ietur, and Naphish, and Nodab.
Mereka itu melakukan perang melawan orang Hagri, Yetur, Nafish dan Nodab.
20 And they were holpen against them, and the Hagarims were deliuered into their hande, and all that were with them: for they cryed to God in the battel, and he heard them, because they trusted in him.
Mereka mendapat bantuan melawan orang-orang itu, sehingga orang Hagri itu dengan semua orang yang mengikutinya menyerahkan diri ke dalam tangan mereka, sebab mereka telah berseru kepada Allah dalam pertempuran itu. Maka Ia mengabulkan permintaan mereka, sebab mereka percaya kepada-Nya.
21 And they led away their cattel, euen their camels fiftie thousand, and two hundreth, and fiftie thousand sheepe, and two thousand asses, and of persons an hundreth thousand.
Mereka mengangkut ternak orang-orang itu sebagai jarahan: untanya lima puluh ribu ekor, kambing domba dua ratus lima puluh ribu ekor dan keledai dua ribu ekor, juga manusia seratus ribu jiwa.
22 For many fel downe wounded, because the warre was of God. And they dwelt in their steads vntill the captiuitie.
Banyak orang yang tewas karena mati terbunuh, sebab pertempuran itu adalah dari pada Allah. Lalu mereka menduduki tempat orang-orang itu sampai waktu pembuangan.
23 And the children of the halfe tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land, from Baashan vnto Baal Hermon, and Senir, and vnto mount Hermon: for they increased.
Setengah suku Manasye diam di negeri itu mulai dari Basan sampai Baal-Hermon, Senir dan gunung Hermon. Mereka sudah banyak jumlahnya.
24 And these were the heads of the housholds of their fathers, euen Epher and Ishi, and Eliel and Azriel, and Ieremiah, and Hodauiah, and Iahdiel, strong men, valiant and famous, heades of the housholdes of their fathers.
Inilah para kepala puak-puak mereka: Hefer, Yisei, Eliel, Azriel, Yeremia, Hodawya dan Yahdiel, orang-orang pahlawan yang gagah perkasa, orang-orang yang kenamaan, para kepala puak-puak mereka.
25 But they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the lande, whome God had destroyed before them.
Tetapi ketika mereka berubah setia terhadap Allah nenek moyang mereka dan berzinah dengan mengikuti segala allah bangsa-bangsa negeri yang telah dimusnahkan Allah dari depan mereka,
26 And the God of Israel stirred vp the spirit of Pul king of Asshur, and the spirite of Tilgath Pilneeser king of Asshur, and he caryed them away: euen the Reubenites and the Gadites, and the halfe tribe of Manasseh, and brought them vnto Halah and Habor, and Hara, and to the riuer Gozan, vnto this day.
maka Allah Israel menggerakkan hati Pul, yakni Tilgat-Pilneser, raja Asyur, lalu raja itu mengangkut mereka ke dalam pembuangan, yaitu orang Ruben, orang Gad dan setengah suku Manasye. Ia membawa mereka ke Halah, Habor, Hara dan sungai negeri Gozan; demikianlah mereka ada di sana sampai hari ini.
