1 Chronicles 4
1 The sonnes of Iudah were Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
Con trai của Giu-đa là Phê-rết, Hết-rôn, Cạt-mi, Hu-rơ và Sô-banh.
2 And Reaiah the sonne of Shobal begat Iahath, and Iahath begate Ahumai, and Lahad: these are the families of the Zoreathites.
Rê-a-gia, con trai Sô-banh sanh Gia-hát; Gia-hát sanh A-hu-mai và La-hát. Aáy là các họ hàng của dân Xô-ra-tít.
3 And these were of the father of Etam, Izreel, and Ishma and Idbash: and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi.
Đây là con cháu của A-bi-Ê-tam: Gít-rê-ên, Dít-ma và Di-ba; em gái họ là Ha-sê-lê-bô-ni.
4 And Penuel was the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah: these are the sonnes of Hur the eldest sonne of Ephratah, the father of Beth-lehem.
Lại có Phê-nu-ên, là tổ phụ của Ghê-đô, và Ê-xe, tổ phụ của Hu-sa. Aáy là con cháu của Hu-rơ, con trưởng nam của Eùp-ra-ta, tổ phụ của Bết-lê-hem.
5 But Asher the father of Tekoa had two wiues, Heleah, and Naarah.
A-su-rơ, tổ phụ của Thê-cô-a, lấy hai vợ là Hê-lê-a và Na-a-ra.
6 And Naarah bare him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Temeni and Haashtari: these were the sonnes of Naarah.
Na-a-ra sanh A-hu-xam, Hê-phe, Thê-mê-ni, và A-hách-tha-ri.
7 And the sonnes of Heleah were Zereth, Iezohar and Ethnan.
Aáy là các con trai của Na-a-ra. Con trai của Hê-lê-a là Xê-rết, Xô-ha, và Eát-nan.
8 Also Coz begate Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the sonne of Harum.
Ha-cốt sanh A-núp, Hát-xô-bê-ba, và dòng A-ha-hên, con Ha-rum.
9 But Iabez was more honourable then his brethren: and his mother called his name Iabez, saying, Because I bare him in sorowe.
Gia-bê được tôn trọng hơn anh em mình; mẹ người đặt tên là Gia-bê, vì nói rằng: Ta sanh nó trong sự đau đớn.
10 And Iabez called on the God of Israel, saying, If thou wilt blesse me in deede, and enlarge my coastes, and if thine hand be with me, and thou wilt cause me to be deliuered from euill, that I be not hurt. And God graunted the thing that he asked.
Gia-bê khấn nguyện với Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên rằng: Chớ chi Chúa ban phước cho tôi, mở bờ cõi tôi rộng lớn; nguyện tay Chúa phù giúp tôi, giữ tôi được khỏi sự dữ, hầu cho tôi chẳng buồn rầu! Đức Chúa Trời bèn ban cho y như sự người cầu nguyện.
11 And Chelub the brother of Shuah begate Mehir, which was the father of Eshton.
Kê-lúp, anh em của Su-ha, sanh Mê-hia, tổ phụ của Ê-tôn.
12 And Eshton begate Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of the citie of Nahash: these are the men of Rechah.
Ê-tôn sanh nhà Ra-pha, Pha-sê-a, và Tê-hi-na, tổ tiên của dân thành Na-hách. Aáy là những người Rê-ca.
13 And the sonnes of Kenaz were Othniel and Zeraiah, and the sonne of Othniel, Hathath.
Con trai của Kê-na là Oát-ni-ên và Sê-ra-gia. Con trai của Oát-ni-ên là Ha-thát.
14 And Meonothai begate Ophrah. And Seraiah begate Ioab the father of the valley of craftesmen: for they were craftesmen.
Mê-ô-nô-thai sanh Oùp-ra; Sê-ra-gia sanh Giô-áp, tổ phụ của các người ở trũng thợ mộc, vì họ đều là thợ mộc.
15 And the sonnes of Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh were Iru, Elah, and Naam. And the sonne of Elah was Kenaz.
Các con trai của Ca-lép, cháu của Giê-phu-nê, là Y-ru, Ê-la, và Na-am, cùng những con trai của Ê-la và Kê-na.
16 And the sonnes of Iehaleel were Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.
Con trai của Giê-ha-lê-le là Xíp, Xi-pha, Thi-ria, và A-sa-rên.
17 And the sonnes of Ezrah were Iether and Mered, and Epher, and Ialon, and he begate Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.
Con trai của E-xơ-ra là Giê-the, Mê-rết, Ê-phe, và Gia-lôn. Vợ của Mê-rết sanh Mi-ri-am, Sa-mai, và Dít-bác, tổ phụ của Eách-tê-mô-a.
18 Also his wife Iehudiiah bare Iered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Iekuthiel the father of Zanoah: and these are the sonnes of Bithiah ye daughter of Pharaoh which Mered tooke.
Vợ người là dân Giu-đa, sanh Giê-rệt, tổ phụ của Ghê-đô, Hê-be, tổ phụ của Sô-cô, và Giê-cu-ti-ên, tổ phụ của Xa-nô-a. Aáy là con cháu của Bi-thia, con gái của Pha-ra-ôn, mà Mê-rết cưới lấy.
19 And the sonnes of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham the father of Keilah were the Garmites, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.
Con trai của vợ Hô-đia, chị em Na-ham, là cha của Kê-hi-la, người Gạc-mít, và Eách-tê-mô-a, người Ma-ca-thít.
20 And the sonnes of Shimon were Amnon and Rinnah, Ben-hanam and Tilon. And the sonnes of Ishi were Zoheth, and Benzoheth.
Con trai của Si-môn là Am-nôn, Ri-na, Bên-Ha-nan, và Ti-lôn. Con trai của Di-si là Xô-hết và Bên-Xô-hết.
21 The sonnes of Shelah, the sonne of Iudah were Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the householdes of them that wrought fine linnen in the house of Ashbea.
Con cháu Sê-la, con trai Giu-đa, là Ê-rơ, tổ phụ của Lê-ca, La-ê-đa, tổ phụ của Ma-rê-sa, và các họ hàng về dòng dõi Aùch-bê-a, là kẻ dệt vải gai mịn;
22 And Iokim and the men of Chozeba and Ioash, and Saraph, which had the dominion in Moab, and Iashubi Lehem. These also are auncient things.
lại có Giô-kim, và những người Cô-xê-ba, Giô-ách, và Sa-ráp, là người cai trị đất Mô-áp, cùng Gia-su-bi-Lê-chem. Aáy là điều cổ tích.
23 These were potters, and dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his worke.
Những người nầy là thợ gốm, ở tại Nê-ta-im, và Ghê-đê-ra; chúng ở gần vua mà làm công việc người.
24 The sonnes of Simeon were Nemuel, and Iamin, Iarib, Zerah, and Shaul,
Con trai của Si-mê-ôn là Nê-mu-ên, Gia-min, Gia-ríp, Xê-ra, Sau-lơ;
25 Whose sonne was Shallum, and his sonne, Mibsam, and his sonne Mishma.
Sa-lum, con trai của Sau-lơ, Míp-sam, con trai của Sa-lum, và Mích-ma, con trai của Míp-sam.
26 And the sonnes of Mishma, Hamuel was his sonne, Zacchur his sonne, and Shimei his sonne.
Con trai của Mích-ma là Ham-mu-ên, con trai của Ham-mu-ên là Xa-cu, con trai của Xa-cu là Si-mê-i.
27 And Shimei had sixteene sonnes, and sixe daughters, but his brethren had not many children, neither was all their familie like to the children of Iudah in multitude.
Còn Si-mê-i có mười sáu con trai và sáu con gái; song anh em người không đông con; cả họ hàng chúng sánh với số người Giu-đa thì kém.
28 And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and at Moladah, and at Hazar Shual,
Chúng ở tại Bê-e-Sê-ba, tại Mô-la-đa, tại Ha-xa-Sua,
29 And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,
tại Bi-la, tại Ê-xem, và tại Tô-lát;
30 And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,
lại ở tại Bê-tu-ên, Họt-ma, và Xiếc-lác;
31 And at Beth-marcaboth, and at Hazar Susim, at Beth-birei, and at Shaaraim, these were their cities vnto the reigne of Dauid.
ở tại Bết-Ma-ca-bốt, Hát-sa-Su-sim, Bết-Bi-rê, và tại Sa-a-ra-im. Aáy là các thành của chúng cho đến đời vua Đa-vít.
32 And their townes were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, fiue cities.
Chúng cũng có năm hương thôn, là Ê-tam, A-in, Rim-môn, Tô-ken, và A-san,
33 And all their townes that were rounde about these cities vnto Baal, These are their habitations and the declaration of their genealogie,
cùng các thôn ấp bốn phía của các hương thôn nầy cho đến Ba-anh. Aáy là chỗ ở và gia phổ của chúng.
34 And Meshobab, and Iamlech, and Ioshah the sonne of Amashiah,
Lại, Mê-sô-báp, Giam-léc, Giô-sa, con trai của A-ma-xia;
35 And Ioel and Iehu the sonne of Ioshibiah, the sonne of Seraiah, the sonne of Asiel,
Giô-ên và Giê-hu, là con trai Giô-xơ-bia, cháu Sê-ra-gia, chắt A-si-ên;
36 And Elionai, and Iaakobah, and Ieshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Iesimiel, and Benaiah,
lại có Ê-li-ô-ê-nai, Gia-cô-ba, Giê-sô-hai-gia, A-sa-gia, A-đi-ên, Giê-si-mi-ên, Bê-na-gia,
37 And Ziza the sonne of Shiphei, the sonne of Allon, the sonne of Iedaiah, the sonne of Shimri, the sonne of Shemaiah.
Xi-xa, con trai của Si-phi, cháu của A-lôn, chắt của Giê-đa-gia, chít của Sim-ri, là con trai của Sê-ma-gia.
38 These were famous princes in their families, and increased greatly their fathers houses.
Những người kể từng tên nầy là trưởng tộc trong họ mình, tông tộc chúng thì thêm lên rất nhiều.
39 And they went to the entring in of Gedor, euen vnto the East side of the valley, to seeke pasture for their sheepe.
Chúng sang qua Ghê-đô, đến bên phía đông của trũng, để kiếm đồng cỏ cho đoàn súc vật mình.
40 And they found fat pasture and good, and a wide land, both quiet and fruitfull: for they of Ham had dwelt there before.
Chúng bèn thấy đồng cỏ tươi tốt; còn đất thì rộng rãi, yên lặng và bình an; khi trước dòng dõi Cham ở đó.
41 And these described by name, came in the dayes of Hezekiah king of Iudah, and smote their tents, and the inhabitants that were found there, and destroyed them vtterly vnto this day, and dwelt in their roume, because there was pasture there for their sheepe.
Những người đã kể tên trước đây, trong đời Ê-xê-chia, vua nước Giu-đa, kéo đến đánh các trại quân của chúng, và những người Ma-ô-nít ở đó, tuyệt hết họ, chiếm lấy đất, và ở thay vào cho đến ngày nay; bởi vì tại đó có đồng cỏ để nuôi bầy súc vật của họ.
42 And besides these, fiue hundreth men of the sonnes of Simeon went to mount Seir, and Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rophaiah, and Vzziel the sonnes of Ishi were their captaines,
Trong dòng Si-mê-ôn có năm trăm người tiến đến núi Sê-i-rơ; các quan-cai họ là Phê-la-tia, Nê-a-ria, Rê-pha-gia, và U-xi-ên; ấy là các con trai của Di-si.
43 And they smote the rest of Amalek that had escaped, and they dwelt there vnto this day.
Chúng đánh người A-ma-léc còn sót lại, rồi ở đó cho đến ngày nay.
