1 Chronicles 4
1 The sonnes of Iudah were Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
Judas Söhne sind Peres, Chesron, Karmi, Chur und Sobal.
2 And Reaiah the sonne of Shobal begat Iahath, and Iahath begate Ahumai, and Lahad: these are the families of the Zoreathites.
Sobals Sohn Reaja zeugte Jachat und Jachat den Achumai und den Lahad. Dies sind die Geschlechter der Soratiter.
3 And these were of the father of Etam, Izreel, and Ishma and Idbash: and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi.
Diese haben Etam zum Vater: Jezreel, Sima und Idbas. Ihre Schwester heißt Haslelponi.
4 And Penuel was the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah: these are the sonnes of Hur the eldest sonne of Ephratah, the father of Beth-lehem.
Ferner Penuel, Gedors Vater, und Husas Vater Ezer. Dies sind die Söhne Churs, des Erstgeborenen Ephrats, des Vaters von Bethlehem.
5 But Asher the father of Tekoa had two wiues, Heleah, and Naarah.
Tekoas Vater Aschur hatte zwei Weiber, Chela und Naara.
6 And Naarah bare him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Temeni and Haashtari: these were the sonnes of Naarah.
Naara gebar ihm Achuzam, Chepher, Temni und die Achastariter. Dies sind Naaras Söhne.
7 And the sonnes of Heleah were Zereth, Iezohar and Ethnan.
Der Chela Söhne sind Seret, Ischar und Etnan.
8 Also Coz begate Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the sonne of Harum.
Kos zeugte Anub und Sobeba sowie die Sippen des Acharchel, des Harumsohnes.
9 But Iabez was more honourable then his brethren: and his mother called his name Iabez, saying, Because I bare him in sorowe.
Jabes aber war vornehmer als seine Brüder. Seine Mutter hatte ihn Jabes genannt; sie sprach: "Ich habe ihn ja mit Schmerzen geboren."
10 And Iabez called on the God of Israel, saying, If thou wilt blesse me in deede, and enlarge my coastes, and if thine hand be with me, and thou wilt cause me to be deliuered from euill, that I be not hurt. And God graunted the thing that he asked.
Und Jabes rief zu Israels Gott: "Daß Du mich segnest und mein Gebiet vergrößerst und daß Deine Hand mit mir sei und Du Unheil ablenkest, auf daß ich keinen Verdruß habe!" Und Gott erfüllte das, worum er bat.
11 And Chelub the brother of Shuah begate Mehir, which was the father of Eshton.
Suchas Bruder Kelub zeugte Mechir. Das ist der Vater von Eston.
12 And Eshton begate Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of the citie of Nahash: these are the men of Rechah.
Eston zeugte Bet Rapha, Paseach und Techinna, den Vater der Stadt Nachas. Dies sind die Männer von Reka.
13 And the sonnes of Kenaz were Othniel and Zeraiah, and the sonne of Othniel, Hathath.
Des Kenat Söhne sind Otniel und Seraja. Otniels Söhne sind: Chatat.
14 And Meonothai begate Ophrah. And Seraiah begate Ioab the father of the valley of craftesmen: for they were craftesmen.
Meonotai zeugte Ophra, und Seraja den Joabs den Vater des Tales der Zimmerer. Denn sie waren Zimmerleute.
15 And the sonnes of Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh were Iru, Elah, and Naam. And the sonne of Elah was Kenaz.
Des Jephunnesohnes Kaleb Söhne sind Ir, Ela und Naam, und der Sohn des Ela ist Kenaz.
16 And the sonnes of Iehaleel were Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.
Des Jehallel Söhne sind Ziph, Zipha, Tirja und Asarel.
17 And the sonnes of Ezrah were Iether and Mered, and Epher, and Ialon, and he begate Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.
Ezras Sohn ist Jeter; Mered aber heiratete Jalon. Und sie gebar Mirjam, Sammai und Isbach, des Estemoa Vater.
18 Also his wife Iehudiiah bare Iered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Iekuthiel the father of Zanoah: and these are the sonnes of Bithiah ye daughter of Pharaoh which Mered tooke.
Sein jüdisches Weib aber hat Jered, den Vater Gedors, geboren, ferner Cheber, Sokos Vater, und Jekutiel, den Vater von Zanoach. Dies sind die Söhne der wirklichen Pharaotochter, die Mered geheiratet hat.
19 And the sonnes of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham the father of Keilah were the Garmites, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.
Die Söhne der Schwester Rachams und der Frau des Hodia sind der Garmiter, Kegilas Vater, und der Maakatiter Estemoa.
20 And the sonnes of Shimon were Amnon and Rinnah, Ben-hanam and Tilon. And the sonnes of Ishi were Zoheth, and Benzoheth.
Simons Söhne sind Ammon, Rinna, Ben Chanan und Tilon. Iseis Söhne sind: Zochet und des Zochet Sohn.
21 The sonnes of Shelah, the sonne of Iudah were Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the householdes of them that wrought fine linnen in the house of Ashbea.
Des Judasohnes Sela Söhne sind Er, der Vater von Leka, und Lada, der Vater von Maresa, sowie die Sippen des Hauses der Baumwollarbeiter zu Bet Asbe,
22 And Iokim and the men of Chozeba and Ioash, and Saraph, which had the dominion in Moab, and Iashubi Lehem. These also are auncient things.
ferner Jokim und die Männer von Kozeba, sowie Joas und Saraph, die Moab erobert haben, und Jasubi Lechem. Die Geschichten aber sind alt.
23 These were potters, and dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his worke.
Dies sind die Töpfer und Bewohner von Netaim und Gedera. Sie haben dort beim König in seinem Dienste gewohnt.
24 The sonnes of Simeon were Nemuel, and Iamin, Iarib, Zerah, and Shaul,
Simeons Söhne sind Nemuel und Jamin, Jarib, Zerach und Saul,
25 Whose sonne was Shallum, and his sonne, Mibsam, and his sonne Mishma.
dessen Sohn war Sallum, dessen Sohn Mibsam und dessen Sohn Misma.
26 And the sonnes of Mishma, Hamuel was his sonne, Zacchur his sonne, and Shimei his sonne.
Mismas Söhne sind: sein Sohn Chammuel, dessen Sohn Zakkur und dessen Sohn Simei.
27 And Shimei had sixteene sonnes, and sixe daughters, but his brethren had not many children, neither was all their familie like to the children of Iudah in multitude.
Simei aber besaß sechzehn Söhne und sechs Töchter. Seine Brüder aber hatten nicht viele Söhne. Und ihre ganze Sippe mehrte sich nicht so, daß sie den Judäern gleichgekommen wäre.
28 And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and at Moladah, and at Hazar Shual,
Sie wohnten in Beerseba, Molada, Chasar Sual,
29 And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,
in Bilha, Esem, Tolad,
30 And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,
in Betuel, Chorma, Siklag,
31 And at Beth-marcaboth, and at Hazar Susim, at Beth-birei, and at Shaaraim, these were their cities vnto the reigne of Dauid.
in Bet Markabot, Chasar Susim, in Bet Biri und Saarim. Dies waren ihre Städte, bis David König ward.
32 And their townes were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, fiue cities.
Ihre Dörfer waren Etam, Ajin, Rimmon, Token und Asan, fünf Städte.
33 And all their townes that were rounde about these cities vnto Baal, These are their habitations and the declaration of their genealogie,
Dazu all ihre Dörfer rings um diese Städte bis nach Baal hin. Dies waren ihre Wohnsitze. Sie hatten auch ihre eigene Sippenliste.
34 And Meshobab, and Iamlech, and Ioshah the sonne of Amashiah,
Ferner: Mesobab, Jamlek und des Amasja Sohn Josab.
35 And Ioel and Iehu the sonne of Ioshibiah, the sonne of Seraiah, the sonne of Asiel,
Joel, Jehu, des Josibja Sohn und Enkel des Asielsohnes Seraja,
36 And Elionai, and Iaakobah, and Ieshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Iesimiel, and Benaiah,
und Eljoënai, Jaakoba, Jesochaja, Asaja, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaja
37 And Ziza the sonne of Shiphei, the sonne of Allon, the sonne of Iedaiah, the sonne of Shimri, the sonne of Shemaiah.
und Ziza, Siphis Sohn, Allons Enkel und Urenkel des Jedaja, des Sohnes des Simri und Enkels des Semaja.
38 These were famous princes in their families, and increased greatly their fathers houses.
Diese mit Namen Aufgeführten sind in ihren Sippen Fürsten, und das Haus ihrer Väter ist weit verbreitet.
39 And they went to the entring in of Gedor, euen vnto the East side of the valley, to seeke pasture for their sheepe.
Sie zogen vom Zugange nach Gedor, bis östlich vom Tal, um für ihre Herden Weiden zu suchen.
40 And they found fat pasture and good, and a wide land, both quiet and fruitfull: for they of Ham had dwelt there before.
Sie fanden auch eine fette und gute Weide. Das Land war geräumig, ruhig und friedlich; denn die früheren Bewohner gehörten zu Cham.
41 And these described by name, came in the dayes of Hezekiah king of Iudah, and smote their tents, and the inhabitants that were found there, and destroyed them vtterly vnto this day, and dwelt in their roume, because there was pasture there for their sheepe.
Diese namentlich Aufgeführten kamen in den Tagen des Judakönigs Ezechias und schlugen Chams Gezelte und die der Mëuniter, die dort waren, und rotteten sie aus bis auf den heutigen Tag. Dann wohnten sie dort an ihrer Stelle. Denn dort war für ihre Herden Weide.
42 And besides these, fiue hundreth men of the sonnes of Simeon went to mount Seir, and Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rophaiah, and Vzziel the sonnes of Ishi were their captaines,
Ein Teil davon aber, von Simeons Söhnen, zog auf das Gebirge Sëir, fünfhundert Mann. An ihrer Spitze Pelatja, Nearja, Rephaja und Uziel, Iseis Söhne.
43 And they smote the rest of Amalek that had escaped, and they dwelt there vnto this day.
Sie schlugen Amaleks letzten Rest und wohnten dort bis auf diesen Tag.
