1 Chronicles 24
1 These are also the diuisions of the sonnes of Aaron: The sonnes of Aaron were Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Vedkommende Arons sønner, så var deres skifter de som nu skal nevnes: Arons sønner var Nadab og Abihu, Eleasar og Itamar.
2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the Priestes office.
Men Nadab og Abihu døde før sin far; de hadde ingen sønner, og bare Eleasar og Itamar blev prester.
3 And Dauid distributed them, euen Zadok of the sonnes of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sonnes of Ithamar according to their offices in their ministration.
Sammen med Sadok av Eleasars sønner og Akimelek av Itamars sønner inndelte David dem efter deres embede i tjeneste-klasser.
4 And there were found more of the sonnes of Eleazar by the number of men, then of the sonnes of Ithamar. and they deuided them, to wit, among the sonnes of Eleazar, sixteene heads, according to the houshould of their fathers, and among ye sonnes of Ithamar, according to the housholde of their fathers, eight.
Da det viste sig at Eleasars sønner hadde flere overhoder enn Itamars sønner, inndelte de dem således at Eleasars sønner fikk seksten overhoder for sine familier og Itamars sønner åtte for sine familier.
5 Thus they distributed them by lot the one from the other, and so the rulers of the Sanctuarie and the rulers of the house of God were of the sonnes of Eleazar and of the sonnes of Ithamar.
Og de inndelte dem ved loddkasting, begge ætter; for det fantes fyrster for helligdommen og Guds fyrster både blandt Eleasars sønner og blandt Itamars sønner.
6 And Shemaiah the sonne of Nethaneel the scribe of the Leuites, wrote them before ye King and the princes, and Zadok the Priest, and Ahimelech the sonne of Abiathar, and before ye chiefe fathers of the Priests and of the Leuites, one familie being reserued for Eleazar, and another reserued for Ithamar.
Skriveren Semaja, Netanels sønn, av Levi stamme, skrev dem op, mens kongen og høvdingene og presten Sadok og Akimelek, Ebjatars sønn, og familiehodene for prestene og levittene så på det; de tok ut en familie for Eleasar og derefter skiftevis en for Itamar.
7 And the first lot fell to Iehoiarib, and the second to Iedaiah,
Det første lodd kom ut for Jojarib, det annet for Jedaja,
8 The third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,
det tredje for Harim, det fjerde for Seorim,
9 The fifth to Malchiiah, the sixt to Miiamin,
det femte for Malkia, det sjette for Mijamin,
10 The seuenth to Hakkoz, the eight to Abiiah,
det syvende for Hakkos, det åttende for Abia,
11 The ninth to Ieshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,
det niende for Jesua, det tiende for Sekanja,
12 The eleuenth to Eliashib, the twelft to Iakim,
det ellevte for Eljasib, det tolvte for Jakim,
13 The thirteenth to Huppa, the fouretenth to Ieshebeab,
det trettende for Huppa, det fjortende for Jesebab,
14 The fiftenth to Bilgah, the sixtenth to Immer,
det femtende for Bilga, det sekstende for Immer,
15 The seuententh to Hezir, the eightenth to Happizzer,
det syttende for Hesir, det attende for Happisses,
16 The ninetenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Iehezekel,
det nittende for Petahja, det tyvende for Esekiel,
17 The one and twentie to Iachin, the two and twentie to Gamul,
det en og tyvende for Jakin, det to og tyvende for Gamul,
18 The three and twentie to Deliah, the foure and twentie to Maaziah.
det tre og tyvende for Delaja, det fire og tyvende for Ma'asja.
19 These were their orders according to their offices, when they entred into the house of the Lord according to their custome vnder the hande of Aaron their father, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded him.
Dette var den orden som de skulde gjøre tjeneste i, når de gikk inn i Herrens hus, således som det var foreskrevet dem av Aron, deres far, efter den befaling Herren, Israels Gud, hadde gitt ham.
20 And of the sonnes of Leui that remained of the sonnes of Amram, was Shubael, of the sonnes of Shubael, Iedeiah,

21 Of Rehabiah. euen of the sonnes of Rehabiah, the first Isshiiah,
Av Rehabjas sønner var Jissia overhodet.
22 Of Izhari, Shelomoth, of the sonnes of Shelomoth, Iahath,
Til jisharittene hørte Selomot, til Selomots sønner Jahat.
23 And his sonnes Ieriah the first, Amariah the second, Iahaziel the thirde, and Iekameam the fourth,
Og Hebrons sønner var Jeria, Amarja - hans annen sønn - Jahasiel, den tredje, Jekamam, den fjerde.
24 The sonne of Vzziel was Michah, ye sonne of Michah was Shamir,
Ussiels sønn var Mika; til Mikas sønner hørte Samur.
25 The brother of Michah was Isshiiah, the sonne of Isshiiah, Zechariah,
Jissia var Mikas bror; til Jissias sunner hørte Sakarja.
26 The sonnes of Merari, were Mahli and Mushi, the sonne of Iaaziiah was Beno,
Meraris sønner var Mahli og Musi, sønner av hans sønn Ja'asia.
27 The sonnes of Merari of Iahaziah were Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur and Ibri.
Meraris sønner gjennem hans sønn Ja'asia var også Soham og Sakkur og Ibri.
28 Of Mahli came Eleazar, which had no sonnes.
Mahlis sønn var Eleasar; men han hadde ingen sønner.
29 Of Kish. the sonne of Kish was Ierahmeel,
Til Kis, det er Kis' sønner, hørte Jerahme'el.
30 And the sonnes of Mushi were Mahli, and Eder, and Ierimoth: these were sonnes of the Leuites after the houshold of their fathers.
Musis sønner var Mahli og Eder og Jerimot. Dette var levittenes sønner efter sine familier.
31 And these also cast lots with their brethren the sonnes of Aaron before King Dauid, and Zadok and Ahimelech and the chiefe fathers of the Priests, and of the Leuites, euen the chiefe of the families against their yonger brethren.
De kastet og lodd likesom deres brødre Arons sønner, mens kong David og Sadok og Akimelek og prestenes og levittenes familiehoder var til stede - overhodene for familiene like så vel som deres yngste brødre.
