1 Chronicles 24
1 These are also the diuisions of the sonnes of Aaron: The sonnes of Aaron were Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Et les fils d'Aaron étaient: Nadab, Abiud, Eléazar et Ithamar.
2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the Priestes office.
Or, Nadab et Abiud moururent sous les yeux de leur père, et ils n'avaient point de fils; Eléazar et Ithamar, fils d'Aaron, eurent donc le sacerdoce.
3 And Dauid distributed them, euen Zadok of the sonnes of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sonnes of Ithamar according to their offices in their ministration.
Et David distingua les fils d'Eléazar, de qui descendait Sadoc, des fils d'Ithamar, de qui était issu Achimélech, selon leur recensement, et leurs services, et leurs familles paternelles.
4 And there were found more of the sonnes of Eleazar by the number of men, then of the sonnes of Ithamar. and they deuided them, to wit, among the sonnes of Eleazar, sixteene heads, according to the houshould of their fathers, and among ye sonnes of Ithamar, according to the housholde of their fathers, eight.
Et il se trouva, parmi ces hommes forts, plus de chefs des fils d'Eléazar que des fils d'Ithamar, et David mit les premiers à la tête de seize familles, les seconds à la tête de huit familles seulement.
5 Thus they distributed them by lot the one from the other, and so the rulers of the Sanctuarie and the rulers of the house of God were of the sonnes of Eleazar and of the sonnes of Ithamar.
Et il leur distribua leurs services par le sort; car, parmi les uns comme parmi les autres, il y avait des chefs des choses saintes, et des chefs du Seigneur.
6 And Shemaiah the sonne of Nethaneel the scribe of the Leuites, wrote them before ye King and the princes, and Zadok the Priest, and Ahimelech the sonne of Abiathar, and before ye chiefe fathers of the Priests and of the Leuites, one familie being reserued for Eleazar, and another reserued for Ithamar.
Et le scribe Samaïas, fils de Nathanakl de la tribu de Lévi, écrivit la liste en présence du roi et des chefs, aidé de Sadoc le prêtre, et d'Abimélech, fils d'Abiathar, et des chefs des familles paternelles des prêtres et des lévites, inscrivant tour à tour un nom provenant d'Eléazar, un nom provenant d'Ithamar.
7 And the first lot fell to Iehoiarib, and the second to Iedaiah,
Le sort désigna en premier lieu Joarim; le second fut Jedia,
8 The third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,
Le troisième Harib, le quatrième Séorim,
9 The fifth to Malchiiah, the sixt to Miiamin,
Le cinquième Melchias, le sixième Meïamin,
10 The seuenth to Hakkoz, the eight to Abiiah,
Le septième Cos, le huitième Abias,
11 The ninth to Ieshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,
Le neuvième Jésua, le dixième Sechénias,
12 The eleuenth to Eliashib, the twelft to Iakim,
Le onzième Eliabi, le douzième Jacim,
13 The thirteenth to Huppa, the fouretenth to Ieshebeab,
Le treizième Opha, le quatorzième Jezbaal,
14 The fiftenth to Bilgah, the sixtenth to Immer,
Le quinzième Belga, le seizième Hemmer,
15 The seuententh to Hezir, the eightenth to Happizzer,
Le dix-septième Hézin, le dix-huitième Aphésé,
16 The ninetenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Iehezekel,
Le dix-neuvième Phetaïe, le vingtième Ezecel,
17 The one and twentie to Iachin, the two and twentie to Gamul,
Le vingt et unième Achim, le vingt-deuxième Gamul,
18 The three and twentie to Deliah, the foure and twentie to Maaziah.
Le vingt-troisième Abdallé, le vingt-quatrième Maasé.
19 These were their orders according to their offices, when they entred into the house of the Lord according to their custome vnder the hande of Aaron their father, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded him.
Tel fut leur recensement, selon leurs services, pour pénétrer dans le tabernacle du Seigneur, d'après le règlement d'Aaron, leur père, tel que le Seigneur l'avait prescrit.
20 And of the sonnes of Leui that remained of the sonnes of Amram, was Shubael, of the sonnes of Shubael, Iedeiah,
Voici le reste des fils de Lévi: Fils d'Amram: Sobael. Fils de Sobael: Jedia.
21 Of Rehabiah. euen of the sonnes of Rehabiah, the first Isshiiah,
Le chef des fils de Raabia:
22 Of Izhari, Shelomoth, of the sonnes of Shelomoth, Iahath,
Salomoth, fils de Isaar; Jath, des fils de Salomoth.
23 And his sonnes Ieriah the first, Amariah the second, Iahaziel the thirde, and Iekameam the fourth,
Les fils d'Ecdiu: Amadias le second, Jaziel le troisième, Jecmoam le quatrième.
24 The sonne of Vzziel was Michah, ye sonne of Michah was Shamir,
Des fils d'Oziel: Micha. Des fils de Micha: Samer.
25 The brother of Michah was Isshiiah, the sonne of Isshiiah, Zechariah,
Le frère de Micha: Isia. Fils de Micha: Zacharie.
26 The sonnes of Merari, were Mahli and Mushi, the sonne of Iaaziiah was Beno,
Les descendants des fils de Mérari: Mooli et Musi. Les fils d'Ozia.
27 The sonnes of Merari of Iahaziah were Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur and Ibri.
Fils de Mérari: Joram, et Sacchur, et Abaï.
28 Of Mahli came Eleazar, which had no sonnes.
Mooli avait eu encore Eléazar et Ithamar; mais Eléazar était mort sans laisser de fils.
29 Of Kish. the sonne of Kish was Ierahmeel,
Jeraméel, issu des fils de Cis,
30 And the sonnes of Mushi were Mahli, and Eder, and Ierimoth: these were sonnes of the Leuites after the houshold of their fathers.
Et Mooli, Eder et Jerimoth, issus de Musi. Tels étaient les fils des lévites par familles paternelles.
31 And these also cast lots with their brethren the sonnes of Aaron before King Dauid, and Zadok and Ahimelech and the chiefe fathers of the Priests, and of the Leuites, euen the chiefe of the families against their yonger brethren.
Et ils tirèrent au sort, comme leurs frères les fils d'Aaron, en présence du roi, de Sadoc, d'Achimélech, et des chefs de familles des prêtres et des lévites; aussi bien les plus anciens chefs de familles que leurs frères les plus jeunes.
