1 Chronicles 22
1 And Dauid saide, This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar for the burnt offring of Israel.
Ndipo Daudi akasema, “Nyumba ya Bwana Mungu itakuwa mahali hapa, pia pamoja na madhabahu ya sadaka ya kuteketezwa kwa ajili ya Israeli.”
2 And Dauid commanded to gather together the strangers that were in the lande of Israel, and he set masons to hewe and polish stones to builde the house of God.
Kwa hiyo Daudi akatoa amri wakusanyike wageni wote waliokuwa wanaishi Israeli, na kutoka miongoni mwao akaweka waashi ili kuchonga mawe kwa ajili ya kujenga nyumba ya Mungu.
3 Dauid also prepared much yron for the nayles of the doores and of the gates, and for the ioynings, and abundance of brasse passing weight,
Daudi akatoa chuma tele ili kutengenezea misumari kwa ajili ya mafungo ya malango ya nyumba na shaba tele isiyopimika.
4 And cedar trees without nomber: for the Zidonians and they of Tyrus brought much cedar wood to Dauid.
Pia akatoa magogo ya mierezi yasiyohesabika, kwa kuwa Wasidoni na Watiro walikuwa wamemletea Daudi idadi kubwa ya mierezi.
5 And Dauid saide, Salomon my sonne is yong and tender, and we must builde an house for the Lord, magnificall, excellent and of great fame and dignitie throughout all countreyes. I will therefore nowe prepare for him. So Dauid prepared very much before his death.
Daudi akasema, “Mwanangu Solomoni bado ni mdogo wa umri na hana uzoefu. Nyumba itakayojengwa kwa ajili ya Bwana inatakiwa iwe yenye uzuri mwingi na sifa na fahari mbele ya mataifa yote. Kwa hiyo nitaifanyia matayarisho.” Daudi akafanya matayarisho makubwa kabla ya kifo chake.
6 Then he called Salomon his sonne, and charged him to builde an house for the Lord God of Israel.
Kisha akamwita Solomoni mwanawe akamwagiza kujenga nyumba kwa ajili ya Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli.
7 And Dauid said to Salomon, My sonne, I purposed with my selfe to builde an house to the Name of the Lord my God,
Daudi akamwambia Solomoni: “Mwanangu, nilikuwa na jambo hili ndani ya moyo wangu kujenga nyumba kwa ajili ya Jina la Bwana Mungu wangu.
8 But the worde of the Lord came to me, saying, Thou hast shed much blood, and hast made great battels: thou shalt not builde an house vnto my Name: for thou hast shead much blood vpon the earth in my sight.
Lakini neno hili la Bwana likanijia, kusema: ‘Wewe umemwaga damu nyingi na kupigana vita vingi. Wewe hutajenga nyumba kwa ajili ya Jina langu, kwa sababu umemwaga damu nyingi juu ya nchi machoni pangu.
9 Beholde, a sonne is borne to thee, which shalbe a man of rest, for I will giue him rest from all his enemies rounde about: therefore his name is Salomon: and I will sende peace and quietnes vpon Israel in his dayes.
Lakini utakuwa na mwana ambaye atakuwa mtu wa amani na utulivu nami nitampa utulivu mbele ya adui zake wote pande zote. Jina lake ataitwa Solomoni, nami nitawapa Israeli amani na utulivu wakati wa utawala wake.
10 Hee shall builde an house for my Name, and he shalbe my sonne, and I will be his father, and I will establish the throne of his kingdome vpon Israel for euer.
Yeye ndiye atakayejenga nyumba kwa ajili ya Jina langu. Yeye atakuwa mwanangu, nami nitakuwa baba yake. Nami nitakifanya imara kiti chake cha enzi cha utawala wake katika Israeli milele.’
11 Nowe therefore my sonne, the Lord shalbe with thee, and thou shalt prosper, and thou shalt builde an house to the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken of thee.
“Sasa, mwanangu, Bwana awe pamoja nawe, nawe uwe na mafanikio upate kuijenga nyumba ya Bwana Mungu wako, kama alivyosema utafanya.
12 Onely the Lord giue thee wisedome and vnderstanding, and giue thee charge ouer Israel, euen to keepe the Lawe of the Lord thy God.
Bwana na akupe hekima na ufahamu wakati atakuweka juu ya Israeli, ili uweze kuishika sheria ya Bwana Mungu wako.
13 Then thou shalt prosper, if thou take heede to obserue the statutes and the iudgements which the Lord commanded Moses for Israel: be strong and of good courage: feare not, neither bee afraide.
Ndipo utakapofanikiwa, ikiwa utakuwa na bidii kutii amri na sheria Bwana alizompa Mose kwa ajili ya Israeli. Uwe hodari na ushujaa. Usiogope wala usikate tamaa.
14 For beholde, according to my pouertie haue I prepared for the house of the Lord an hundreth thousand talents of golde, and a thousand thousande talents of siluer, and of brasse and of yron passing weight: for there was abundance: I haue also prepared timber and stone, and thou mayest prouide more thereto.
“Nimejitaabisha sana ili kupata mahitaji kwa ajili ya Hekalu la Bwana: talanta 100,000 za dhahabu, talanta 1,000,000 za fedha na kiasi kisichopimika cha shaba na chuma, pia mbao na mawe. Nawe waweza kuviongeza.
15 Moreouer thou hast workmen with thee enough, hewers of stone, and workemen for timber, and all men expert in euery worke.
Unao wafanyakazi wengi: Wachonga mawe, waashi na maseremala, pamoja na watu walio na ustadi katika kila kazi
16 Of golde, of siluer, and of brasse, and of yron there is no nomber: Vp therefore, and be doing, and the Lord wilbe with thee.
wa kufua dhahabu, fedha, shaba na chuma, mafundi wasiohesabika. Sasa basi anza kazi hii, naye Bwana awe pamoja nawe.”
17 Dauid also commanded all the princes of Israel to helpe Salomon his sonne, saying,
Kisha Daudi akawaamuru viongozi wote wa Israeli wamsaidie Solomoni mwanawe.
18 Is not the Lord your God with you, and hath giuen you rest on euerie side? for hee hath giuen the inhabitants of the land into mine hand, and the land is subdued before the Lord and before his people.
Akawaambia, “Je, Bwana Mungu wenu si yuko pamoja na ninyi? Pia si amewapa raha pande zote? Kwa maana amewatia wenyeji wa nchi mkononi mwangu, nayo nchi iko chini ya Bwana na watu wake.
19 Nowe set your hearts and your soules to seeke the Lord your God, and arise, and builde the Sanctuarie of the Lord God to bring the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, and the holy vessels of God into the house built for the Name of the Lord.
Sasa itoeni mioyo yenu na nafsi zenu katika kumtafuta Bwana Mungu wenu. Anzeni kujenga Maskani ya Bwana Mungu, ili mweze kulileta Sanduku la Agano la Bwana na vyombo vitakatifu vya Mungu katika Hekalu litakalojengwa kwa ajili ya Jina la Bwana.”
