1 Chronicles 22
1 And Dauid saide, This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar for the burnt offring of Israel.
Potem je David rekel: »To je hiša Gospoda Boga in to je oltar žgalne daritve za Izraela.«
2 And Dauid commanded to gather together the strangers that were in the lande of Israel, and he set masons to hewe and polish stones to builde the house of God.
David je zapovedal, da zberejo skupaj tujce, ki so bili v Izraelovi deželi in postavil je zidarje, da izklesajo kamne, da zgradijo Božjo hišo.
3 Dauid also prepared much yron for the nayles of the doores and of the gates, and for the ioynings, and abundance of brasse passing weight,
David je pripravil železa v obilju za žeblje za duri velikih vrat in za vezi in brona v obilju, brez teže.
4 And cedar trees without nomber: for the Zidonians and they of Tyrus brought much cedar wood to Dauid.
Tudi cedrovih dreves v obilju, kajti Sidónci in tisti iz Tira so Davidu prinesli veliko cedrovega lesa.
5 And Dauid saide, Salomon my sonne is yong and tender, and we must builde an house for the Lord, magnificall, excellent and of great fame and dignitie throughout all countreyes. I will therefore nowe prepare for him. So Dauid prepared very much before his death.
David je rekel: »Moj sin Salomon je mlad in nežen, hiša, ki naj se zgradi za Gospoda, pa mora biti silno prekrasna od slovesa in od slave po vseh deželah, zato bom torej naredil priprave zanjo.« Tako je David pred svojo smrtjo [vsega] obilno pripravil.
6 Then he called Salomon his sonne, and charged him to builde an house for the Lord God of Israel.
Potem je dal poklicati svojega sina Salomona in ga zadolžil, da zgradi hišo za Gospoda, Izraelovega Boga.
7 And Dauid said to Salomon, My sonne, I purposed with my selfe to builde an house to the Name of the Lord my God,
David je rekel Salomonu: »Moj sin, kar se mene tiče, je bilo v mojih mislih, da zgradim hišo imenu Gospoda, svojega Boga,
8 But the worde of the Lord came to me, saying, Thou hast shed much blood, and hast made great battels: thou shalt not builde an house vnto my Name: for thou hast shead much blood vpon the earth in my sight.
toda k meni je prišla Gospodova beseda, rekoč: ›Obilno si prelival kri in storil velike vojne. Ne boš gradil hiše mojemu imenu, ker si v mojem pogledu na zemlji prelil mnogo krvi.
9 Beholde, a sonne is borne to thee, which shalbe a man of rest, for I will giue him rest from all his enemies rounde about: therefore his name is Salomon: and I will sende peace and quietnes vpon Israel in his dayes.
Glej, rojen ti bo sin, ki bo mož počitka in dal mu bom počitek pred vsemi njegovimi sovražniki naokoli, kajti njegovo ime bo Salomon in jaz bom v njegovih dneh Izraelu dal mir in spokojnost.
10 Hee shall builde an house for my Name, and he shalbe my sonne, and I will be his father, and I will establish the throne of his kingdome vpon Israel for euer.
Zgradil bo hišo za moje ime in on bo moj sin in jaz bom njegov oče in jaz bom vzpostavil prestol njegovega kraljestva nad Izraelom na veke.‹
11 Nowe therefore my sonne, the Lord shalbe with thee, and thou shalt prosper, and thou shalt builde an house to the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken of thee.
Sedaj moj sin, Gospod naj bo s teboj in bodi uspešen in zgradi hišo Gospoda, svojega Boga, kakor je govoril o tebi.
12 Onely the Lord giue thee wisedome and vnderstanding, and giue thee charge ouer Israel, euen to keepe the Lawe of the Lord thy God.
Samo Gospod naj ti da modrost in razumevanje in te zadolži glede Izraela, da se boš lahko držal postave Gospoda, svojega Boga.
13 Then thou shalt prosper, if thou take heede to obserue the statutes and the iudgements which the Lord commanded Moses for Israel: be strong and of good courage: feare not, neither bee afraide.
Potem boš uspel, če paziš, da izpolnjuješ zakone in sodbe, ki jih je Gospod zapovedal Mojzesu glede Izraela. Bodi močan in odločnega poguma. Ne boj se niti ne bodi zaprepaden.
14 For beholde, according to my pouertie haue I prepared for the house of the Lord an hundreth thousand talents of golde, and a thousand thousande talents of siluer, and of brasse and of yron passing weight: for there was abundance: I haue also prepared timber and stone, and thou mayest prouide more thereto.
Torej glej, v svoji stiski sem za Gospodovo hišo pripravil sto tisoč talentov zlata in milijon talentov srebra, brona in železa pa brez teže, kajti tega je v obilju. Tudi les in kamenje sem pripravil in ti lahko k temu dodaš.
15 Moreouer thou hast workmen with thee enough, hewers of stone, and workemen for timber, and all men expert in euery worke.
Poleg tega je tam s teboj delavcev v obilju, kamnosekov in obdelovalcev kamna in lesa, in vseh vrst spretnih mož za vsako vrsto dela.
16 Of golde, of siluer, and of brasse, and of yron there is no nomber: Vp therefore, and be doing, and the Lord wilbe with thee.
Zlatu, srebru, bronu in železu ni števila. Vstani torej in delaj in Gospod naj bo s teboj.«
17 Dauid also commanded all the princes of Israel to helpe Salomon his sonne, saying,
David je tudi vsem Izraelovim princem zapovedal, da pomagajo njegovemu sinu Salomonu, rekoč:
18 Is not the Lord your God with you, and hath giuen you rest on euerie side? for hee hath giuen the inhabitants of the land into mine hand, and the land is subdued before the Lord and before his people.
» Mar ni z vami Gospod, vaš Bog? In ali vam ni dal počitka na vsaki strani? Kajti prebivalce dežele je izročil v mojo roko in dežela je podjarmljena pred Gospodom in pred njegovim ljudstvom.
19 Nowe set your hearts and your soules to seeke the Lord your God, and arise, and builde the Sanctuarie of the Lord God to bring the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, and the holy vessels of God into the house built for the Name of the Lord.
Pripravite torej svoje srce in svojo dušo, da iščete Gospoda, svojega Boga. Vstanite torej in zgradite svetišče Gospodu Bogu, da se prinese skrinja Gospodove zaveze in svete Božje posode v hišo, ki naj bo zgrajena Gospodovemu imenu.«
