< 1 Chronicles 21 >

1 And Satan stoode vp against Israel, and prouoked Dauid to nomber Israel.
Ekwensu biliri megide Izrel, mgbe ọ kpaliri Devid ka ọ gụọ Izrel ọnụ.
2 Therefore Dauid said to Ioab, and to the rulers of the people, Go, and nomber Israel from Beer-sheba euen to Dan, and bring it to me, that I may knowe the nomber of them.
Ya mere, Devid gwara Joab na ndịisi agha okwu sị, “Gaa gụọ ụmụ Izrel niile ọnụ, site na Bịasheba ruo Dan. Emesịa, bịa gwa m ihe ị gụtara ka m mata ole ọnụọgụgụ ha dị.”
3 And Ioab answered, The Lord increase his people an hundreth times so many as they be, O my lord the King: are they not all my lords seruats? wherefore doeth my lord require this thing? why should he be a cause of trespasse to Israel?
Ma Joab zaghachiri, “Ka Onyenwe anyị mee ka ndị agha ya mụbaa, otu onye narị ụzọ karịa. Ma onyenwe m eze, ọ bụ na ndị a niile abụghị ndị nọ nʼokpuru ọchịchị onyenwe m? Nʼihi gịnị ka onyenwe m ji na-achọ ime ihe a? Nʼihi gịnị ka ọ ga-eji wetara Izrel ikpe ọmụma?”
4 Neuerthelesse the Kings word preuailed against Ioab. And Ioab departed and went thorowe all Israel, and returned to Ierusalem.
Ma okwu eze dị ike karịa nke Joab. Ya mere, Joab pụrụ gagharịa nʼIzrel niile, mechaa lọghachikwa na Jerusalem.
5 And Ioab gaue the nomber and summe of the people vnto Dauid: and all Israel were eleuen hundreth thousande men that drewe sword: and Iudah was foure hundreth and seuentie thousande men that drewe sword.
Joab nyere Devid ngụkọta ọnụọgụgụ nke ndị agha Izrel niile. NʼIzrel niile, ha dị otu nde, na narị puku ndị ikom ndị tozuru iji mma agha buo agha, tinyekwara narị puku ndị ikom anọ na iri asaa nʼala Juda ndị na-amịpụta mma agha.
6 But the Leuites and Beniamin counted he not among them: for the Kings worde was abominable to Ioab.
Ma Joab agụnyeghị ndị Livayị, na ndị Benjamin nʼọnụọgụgụ ahụ, nʼihi na iwu eze amasịghị ya nʼobi nʼụzọ ọbụla.
7 And God was displeased with this thing: therefore he smote Israel.
Iwu banyere ọnụọgụgụ a adịghịkwa Chineke mma nʼanya. Ya mere, ọ tara ndị Izrel ahụhụ nʼihi ya.
8 Then Dauid saide vnto God, I haue sinned greatly, because I haue done this thing: but now, I beseech thee, remooue the iniquitie of thy seruant: for I haue done very foolishly.
Mgbe ahụ, Devid sịrị Chineke, “Emehiela m nke ukwuu site nʼihe a m mere. Ma ugbu a, biko, arịọ m gị, wezuga ikpe ọmụma dịịrị ohu gị; nʼihi na emeela m ihe nzuzu dị ukwuu.”
9 And the Lord spake vnto Gad Dauids Seer, saying,
Onyenwe anyị gwara Gad, onye ọhụ ụzọ Devid, sị,
10 Goe and tell Dauid, saying, Thus saith the Lord, I offer thee three thinges: choose thee one of them, that I may doe it vnto thee.
“Gaa gwa Devid, ‘Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị na-ekwu: Ụzọ ihe atọ ka m na-eche gị nʼihu. Họrọ otu nʼime ha nke m ga-eme ka ọ bịakwasị gị.’”
11 So Gad came to Dauid, and sayde vnto him, Thus saith the Lord, Take to thee
Ya mere Gad jekwuuru Devid sị ya, “Ihe a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, Họrọ nke dị gị mma.
12 Either three yeeres famine, or three moneths to be destroyed before thine aduersaries, and the sworde of thine enemies to take thee, or els the sworde of the Lord and pestilence in the lande three dayes, that the Angel of the Lord may destroy throughout all the coastes of Israel: nowe therefore aduise thee, what word I shall bring againe to him that sent me.
Oke ụnwụ nke ga-adị afọ atọ, ka ọ bụ ọnwa atọ nke mkpochapụ nʼihu ndị iro unu, site na mma agha ha ga-eru unu ahụ, ka ọ bụ ụbọchị atọ nke mma agha Onyenwe anyị, bụ ajọ ọrịa na-efe efe ịda nʼala a, nke mmụọ ozi Onyenwe anyị ga-eme ka ọ bịakwasị ala Izrel niile. Ugbu a, chee echiche, kpebie ọsịsa ị chọrọ ka m weghachiri onye ahụ zitere m.”
13 And Dauid said vnto Gad, I am in a wonderfull strait. let me nowe fall into the hande of the Lord: for his mercies are exceeding great, and let me not fall into the hande of man.
14 So the Lord sent a pestilence in Israel, and there fell of Israel seuentie thousande men.
Nʼihi ya, Onyenwe anyị zitere ajọ ọrịa na-efe efe nʼala Izrel, iri puku ndị ikom asaa dara nwụọ.
15 And God sent the Angel into Ierusalem to destroy it. And as he was destroying, the Lord behelde, and repented of the euill and sayde to the Angel that destroyed, It is nowe ynough, let thine hande cease. Then the Angel of the Lord stoode by the thresshing floore of Ornan the Iebusite.
Chineke zipụrụ mmụọ ozi ị ga bibie Jerusalem, ma dịka mmụọ ozi ahụ na-eme nke a, Onyenwe anyị hụrụ ya, o wutere ya nʼihi mbibi ahụ. Ọ sịrị mmụọ ozi ahụ nke na-ebibi ndị mmadụ, “O zuola! Seghachi aka gị.” Mgbe ahụ, mmụọ ozi Onyenwe anyị na-eguzo nʼebe ịzọcha ọka Arauna onye Jebus.
16 And Dauid lift vp his eyes, and sawe the Angel of the Lord stande betweene the earth and the heauen with his sworde drawen in his hand, and stretched out towarde Ierusalem. Then Dauid and the Elders of Israel, which were clothed in sacke, fell vpon their faces.
Mgbe Devid leliri anya elu hụ mmụọ ozi Onyenwe anyị ka o guzo nʼetiti mbara eluigwe na ụwa, hụkwa mma agha o ji, nke o chere ihu ya na Jerusalem, ya na ndị okenye Izrel yi akwa mkpe, dara nʼala kpuo ihu nʼala.
17 And Dauid said vnto God, Is it not I that commanded to nomber the people? It is euen I that haue sinned and haue committed euil, but these sheepe what haue they done? O Lord my God, I beseech thee, let thine hande be on me and on my fathers house, and not on thy people for their destruction.
Devid sịrị Chineke, “Ọ bụghị m nyere iwu ka a gụọ ndị tozuru ibu agha ọnụ? Ọ bụ mụ onwe m, mụ bụ onye ọzụzụ atụrụ, mehiere mee ajọ omume. Ma ndị a bụ naanị ụmụ atụrụ, gịnị kwanụ ka ha mere? Onyenwe anyị Chineke m, biko ekwela ka ọrịa a na-efe efe nọgide nʼahụ ndị gị, ka aka gị dịgide naanị nʼahụ m, dịgidekwa nʼahụ ndị ụlọ m.”
18 Then the Angel of the Lord commanded Gad to say to Dauid, that Dauid should goe vp, and set vp an altar vnto the Lord in the thresshing floore of Ornan the Iebusite.
Mgbe ahụ, mmụọ ozi Onyenwe anyị nyere Gad iwu ka ọ gwa Devid, ka ọ gaa wuore Onyenwe anyị ebe ịchụ aja nʼebe ịzọcha ọka Arauna, onye Jebus.
19 So Dauid went vp according to the saying of Gad, which he had spoken in the Name of the Lord.
Ya mere, Devid rubere isi gaa dịka okwu ahụ Gad kwuru nʼaha Onyenwe anyị.
20 And Ornan turned about, and sawe the Angel, and his foure sonnes, that were with him, hid them selues, and Ornan thresshed wheat.
Mgbe Arauna nọ nʼebe ịzọcha ọka, ọ tụgharịrị hụ mmụọ ozi ahụ, ụmụ ya ndị ikom anọ ndị so ya guzo nʼebe ahụ zoro onwe ha.
21 And as Dauid came to Ornan, Ornan looked and sawe Dauid, and went out of the thresshing floore, and bowed himselfe to Dauid with his face to the grounde.
Mgbe Devid bịakwutere Arauna, Arauna weliri anya hụ ya, ọ hapụrụ ebe ịzọcha ọka ahụ, bịa kpọọ isiala nye Devid, kpudokwa ihu ya nʼala.
22 And Dauid saide to Ornan, Giue me the place of thy thresshing floore, that I may builde an altar therein vnto the Lord: giue it me for sufficient money, that the plague may be stayed from the people.
Devid sịrị ya, “Nye m ebe a, bụ ala ebe ịzọcha ọka gị, ka m nwee ike wuore Onyenwe anyị ebe ịchụ aja, ka akwụsị ọrịa a na-efe efe dakwasịrị ndị mmadụ. Resi m ya nʼọnụ ahịa o ruru.”
23 Then Ornan saide vnto Dauid, Take it to thee, and let my lord the King do that which seemeth him good: loe, I giue thee bullockes for burnt offrings, and thresshing instruments for wood, and wheat for meate offring, I giue it all.
Ma Arauna zara sị Devid, “Were ya ka onyenwe m eze mee ihe ọbụla dị ya nʼobi. Aga m enye ehi maka iji chụọ aja nsure ọkụ, ihe nzọcha ọka niile ka ha bụrụ nkụ na ọka wiiti maka ịchụ aja mkpụrụ ọka. Aga m enye ha niile.”
24 And King Dauid saide to Ornan, Not so: but I will bye it for sufficient money: for I wil not take that which is thine for the Lord, nor offer burnt offrings without cost.
Ma eze Devid zaghachiri Arauna, “ee, aghaghị m ịkwụzu gị ọnụahịa ya. Nʼihi na agaghị m ewere ihe bụ nke gị nye ya Onyenwe anyị, maọbụ chụọ aja nsure ọkụ nke na-agaghị efu m ihe ọbụla.”
25 So Dauid gaue to Ornan for that place sixe hundreth shekels of golde by weight.
Ya mere, Devid kwụrụ Arauna narị shekel ọlaedo isii iji zụrụ ebe ahụ.
26 And Dauid built there an altar vnto the Lord, and offred burnt offrings, and peace offrings, and called vpon the Lord, and he answered him by fire from heauen vpon the altar of burnt offring.
Devid wuru ebe ịchụrụ Onyenwe anyị aja nʼebe ahụ, chụọkwa aja nsure ọkụ na aja udo. Ọ kpọkuru Onyenwe anyị, Onyenwe anyị zakwara ya, site nʼọkụ nke si nʼeluigwe daa nʼelu ebe ịchụ aja nke aja nsure ọkụ ahụ.
27 And when the Lord had spoken to the Angel, he put vp his sworde againe into his sheath.
Mgbe ahụ, Onyenwe anyị nyere mmụọ ozi ahụ iwu ka o tinyekwa mma agha ya nʼọbọ ya.
28 At that time when Dauid sawe that the Lord had heard him in the thresshing floore of Ornan the Iebusite, then he sacrificed there.
Mgbe Devid hụrụ na Onyenwe anyị azala ekpere ya nʼebe ịzọcha ọka nke Arauna onye Jebus, ọ chụkwara aja ọzọ nye Onyenwe anyị.
29 (But the Tabernacle of the Lord which Moses had made in the wildernesse, and the altar of burnt offring were at that season in the hie place at Gibeon.
Ụlọ ikwu Onyenwe anyị na ebe ịchụ aja nke aja nsure ọkụ ahụ Mosis wuru nʼọzara dị nʼebe dị elu Gibiọn, nʼoge ahụ.
30 And Dauid could not go before it to aske counsel at God: for he was afraide of the sworde of the Angel of the Lord.)
Ma Devid ejerughị ebe ahụ ịjụta Chineke ase, nʼihi na ụjọ tụrụ ya mgbe ọ hụrụ mma agha ahụ dị nʼaka mmụọ ozi Onyenwe anyị.
