1 Chronicles 20
1 And when the yere was expired, in the time that Kings goe out a warfare, Ioab caryed out the strength of the armie, and destroyed the countrey of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah (but Dauid taryed at Ierusalem) and Ioab smote Rabbah and destroyed it.
Y aconteció a la vuelta del año, en el tiempo que suelen los reyes salir a la guerra, que Joab sacó las fuerzas del ejército, y destruyó la tierra de los hijos de Ammón, y vino y cercó a Rabba. Y David estaba en Jerusalem: y Joab hirió a Rabba, y destruyóla.
2 Then Dauid tooke the crowne of their King from off his head, and founde it the weight of a talent of golde, with precious stones in it: and it was set on Dauids head, and he brought away the spoyle of the citie exceeding much.
Y David tomó la corona de su rey de encima de su cabeza, y hallóla de peso de un talento de oro, y había en ella piedras preciosas, y fue puesta sobre la cabeza de David. Y además de esto sacó de la ciudad un muy gran despojo.
3 And he caryed away the people that were in it, and cut them with sawes, and with harowes of yron, and with axes: euen thus did Dauid with all the cities of the children of Ammon. Then Dauid and all the people came againe to Ierusalem.
Y sacó al pueblo, que estaba en ella, y aserrólos con sierras, y con trillos de hierro, y segures. Lo mismo hizo David a todas las ciudades de los hijos de Ammón: y David con todo el pueblo se volvió a Jerusalem.
4 And after this also there arose warre at Gezer with the Philistims: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slewe Sippai, of the children of Haraphah, and they were subdued.
Después de esto aconteció que se levantó guerra en Gazer con los Filisteos; e hirió Sobocai Husatita a Safai de los hijos de los gigantes, y fueron humillados.
5 And there was yet another battell with the Philistims: and Elhanan the sonne of Iair slewe Lahmi, the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spearestaffe was like a weauers beame.
Y volvió a levantarse guerra con los Filisteos, e hirió Elcanán, hijo de Jair, a Lahmi hermano de Goliat Jetteo, cuya asta de lanza era como un enjullo de tejedores.
6 And yet againe there was a battel at Gath, where was a man of a great stature, and his fingers were by sixes, euen foure and twentie, and was also the sonne of Haraphah.
Y volvió a haber guerra en Get, y hubo allí un varón de medida, el cual tenía seis dedos en cada pie, y seis dedos en cada mano, veinte y cuatro; y también era hijo de Rafa.
7 And when he reuiled Israel, Iehonathan the sonne of Shimea Dauids brother did slay him.
Este desafió a Israel, y Jonatán, hijo de Samaa, hermano de David, le hirió.
8 These were borne vnto Haraphah at Gath, and fell by the hand of Dauid: and by the hands of his seruants.
Estos fueron hijos de Rafa en Get, los cuales cayeron por la mano de David, y de sus siervos.
