1 Chronicles 17
1 Nowe afterward when Dauid dwelt in his house, he saide to Nathan the Prophet, Beholde, I dwell in an house of cedar trees, but the Arke of the Lordes couenant remaineth vnder curtaines.
೧ದಾವೀದನು ತನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಅವನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ನಾತಾನನನ್ನು ಬರಲು ಹೇಳಿ, “ನೋಡು, ನಾನು ದೇವದಾರುಮರದ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಯೆಹೋವನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಂಜೂಷವಾದರೋ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
2 Then Nathan said to Dauid, Do all that is in thine heart: for God is with thee.
೨ನಾತಾನನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಮಾಡು, ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುತ್ತಾನೆ” ಎಂದನು.
3 And the same night euen the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
೩ಅದೇ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ನಾತಾನನಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ,
4 Goe, and tell Dauid my seruant, Thus saith the Lord, Thou shalt not buylde me an house to dwell in:
೪“ಹೋಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಬಾರದು.
5 For I haue dwelt in no house, since the day that I brought out the childre of Israel vnto this daye, but I haue bene from tent to tent, and from habitation to habitation.
೫ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಗುಡಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೆನು.
6 Wheresoeuer I haue walked with all Israel spake I one word to any of the iudges of Israel (whome I commanded to feede my people) saying, Why haue ye not built mee an house of cedar trees?
೬ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ನೇಮಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಯಾವ ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾಪಕನ್ನಾದರೂ ನೀವು ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದೇವದಾರುಮರದ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಕಟ್ಟಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದೆನೋ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ’” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳು ಎಂದನು.
7 Nowe therefore thus shalt thou say vnto my seruant Dauid, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, I tooke thee from the sheepecoat and from following the sheepe, that thou shouldest bee a prince ouer my people Israel.
೭ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಕುರಿಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಡವಿಯಿಂದ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ನಾಯಕನನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದೆನು.
8 And I haue bene with thee whithersoeuer thou hast walked, and haue destroyed all thine enemies out of thy sight, and haue made thee a name, like the name of the great men that are in the earth.
೮ನೀನು ಹೋದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದೆನು. ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನೆದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟೆನು. ಲೋಕದ ಮಹಾಪುರುಷರ ಹೆಸರಿನಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸುವೆನು.
9 (Also I will appoynt a place for my people Israel, and will plant it, that they may dwell in their place, and moue no more: neither shall the wicked people vexe them any more, as at the beginning,
೯ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ನೆಲೆಗೊಳಿಸುವೆನು. ಅವರು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾವ ಭಯವೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವರು.
10 And since the time that I commanded iudges ouer my people Israel) And I wil subdue all thine enemies: therefore I say vnto thee, that the Lord wil buylde thee an house.
೧೦ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೂ, ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾಪಕರ ಕಾಲದಿಂದೀಚೆಗೆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಇನ್ನು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಅಧೀನಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಒಂದು ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಮಾತುಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
11 And when thy dayes shalbe fulfilled to go with thy fathers, then will I rayse vp thy seede after thee, which shalbe of thy sonnes, and will stablish his kingdome.
೧೧ನಿನ್ನ ಆಯುಷ್ಕಾಲವು ಮುಗಿದು ನೀನು ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಮೇಲೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿ, ಅವನ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸುವೆನು.
12 He shall builde me an house, and I will stablish his throne for euer.
೧೨ಅವನು ನನಗಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವನು. ನಾನು ಅವನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸುವೆನು.
13 I wil be his father, and he shalbe my sonne, aud I will not take my mercie away from him, as I tooke it from him that was before thee.
೧೩ನಾನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿರುವೆನು, ಅವನು ನನಗೆ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವನು. ನನ್ನ ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನು ನಿನಗಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಇದ್ದವನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
14 But I wil establish him in mine house, and in my kingdome for euer, and his throne shalbe stablished for euer,
೧೪ಅವನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ನನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸದಾ ಸ್ಥಿರಗೊಳಿಸುವೆನು. ಅವನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿರುವುದು” ಎಂಬುದೇ.
15 According to all these wordes, and according to al this vision. So Nathan spake to Dauid.
೧೫ನಾತಾನನು ತನಗುಂಟಾದ ದರ್ಶನದ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
16 And Dauid the King went in and sate before the Lord and said, Who am I, O Lord God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
೧೬ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ಹೋಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ದೇವರೇ, ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನನ್ನಂಥವನಿಗೆ ಈ ಪದವಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಿ, ನಾನೆಷ್ಟರವನು? ನನ್ನ ಮನೆ ಎಷ್ಟರದು?
17 Yet thou esteeming this a small thing, O God, hast also spoken concerning the house of thy seruaut for a great while, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of hie degree, O Lord God.
೧೭ದೇವರೇ, ಇದು ಸಾಲದೆಂದೆಣಿಸಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನ ಮುಂಬರುವ ಸಂತಾನದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ನನಗೆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಮಾಡಿರುವೆ. ದೇವರೇ, ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಪನಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಟಾಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದೀ.
18 What can Dauid desire more of thee for the honour of thy seruant? for thou knowest thy seruant.
೧೮ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲೆ. ಅವನು ತನಗುಂಟಾದ ಘನತೆಯನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಇನ್ನೇನು ಹೇಳಾನು.
19 O Lord, for thy seruantes sake, euen according to thine heart hast thou done all this great thing to declare all magnificence.
೧೯ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನ ಮೇಲಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಚಿತ್ತಾನುಸಾರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸತ್ಯ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸಿರುವೆ.
20 Lord, there is none like thee, neither is there any God besides thee, according to all that we haue heard with our eares.
೨೦ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ಸಮಾನರು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನಾವು ಕೇಳಿದವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರೇ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂಬುದು ನಿಶ್ಚಯ.
21 Moreouer what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whose God went to redeeme them to be his people, and to make thy selfe a Name, and to doe great and terrible things by casting out nations from before thy people, whom thou hast deliuered out of Egypt?
೨೧ನಿನ್ನ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಪ್ರಜೆಗೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದ ಜನಾಂಗವು ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದಿರುತ್ತದೆ? ದೇವರಾದ ನೀನೇ ಚಿತ್ತೈಯಿಸಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿ, ಸ್ವಪ್ರಜೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿ. ಭಯಂಕರವಾದ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿದಿ. ನೀನು ಐಗುಪ್ತರ ಕೈಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಯ ಎದುರಿನಿಂದ ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿ.
22 For thou hast ordeined thy people Israel to be thine owne people for euer, and thou Lord art become their God.
೨೨ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಸದಾಕಾಲವು ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾಗಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಿದ್ದೀ. ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದಿ.
23 Therefore nowe Lord, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy seruant and concerning his house, be confirmed for euer, and doe as thou hast sayd,
೨೩ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾಡಿದ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವನ್ನು ಶಾಶ್ವತಪಡಿಸಿ ನೆರವೇರಿಸು. ಅದು ಸದಾ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರಲಿ.
24 And let thy name be stable and magnified for euer, that it may be sayd, The Lord of hostes, God of Israel, is the God of Israel, and let the house of Dauid thy seruant bee stablished before thee.
೨೪ಜನರು ‘ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇವರೂ, ಶರಣನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ’ ಎಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ನಾಮವನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡಲಿ.
25 For thou, O my God, hast reueiled vnto the eare of thy seruant, that thou wilt builde him an house: therefore thy seruant hath bene bolde to pray before thee.
೨೫ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ, ‘ನಾನು ನಿನಗೊಂದು ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವೆನು’ ಎಂದು ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಧೈರ್ಯಗೊಂಡನು.
26 Therefore nowe Lord (for thou art God, and hast spoken this goodnesse vnto thy seruant)
೨೬ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ ಈ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುತ್ತೀ.
27 Now therfore, it hath pleased thee to blesse the house of thy seruant, that it may bee before thee for euer: for thou, O Lord, hast blessed it, and it shalbe blessed for euer.
೨೭ಈಗ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಸದಾಕಾಲವೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀ. ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀನು ಅದನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದ್ದೀ. ಅದು ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯದಿಂದಿರುವುದು” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದನು.
