1 Chronicles 16
1 So they brought in the Arke of God, and set it in the middes of the Tabernacle that Dauid had pitched for it, and they offred burnt offrings and peace offrings before God.
Toen zij de ark Gods inbrachten, zo stelden zij ze in het midden der tent, welke David voor haar gespannen had; en zij offerden brandofferen en dankofferen voor het aangezicht Gods.
2 And when Dauid had made an ende of offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, hee blessed the people in the Name of the Lord.
Als David het brandoffer en de dankofferen geeindigd had te offeren, zo zegende hij het volk in den Naam des HEEREN.
3 And he dealt to euery one of Israel both man and woman, to euery one a cake of breade, and a piece of flesh, and a bottel of wine.
En hij deelde een iegelijk in Israel, van den man tot de vrouw, een iegelijk een bol broods, en een schoon stuk vlees, en een fles wijn.
4 And he appointed certaine of the Leuites to minister before the Arke of the Lord, and to rehearse and to thanke and prayse the Lord God of Israel:
En hij stelde voor de ark des HEEREN sommigen uit de Levieten tot dienaars, en dat, om den HEERE, den God Israels, te vermelden, en te loven, en te prijzen.
5 Asaph the chiefe, and next to him Zechariah, Ieiel, and Shemiramoth, and Iehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed Edom, euen Ieiel with instruments, violes and harpes, and Asaph to make a sound with cymbales,
Asaf was het hoofd, en Zecharja de tweede na hem; Jeiel, en Semiramoth, en Jehiel, en Mattithja, en Eliab, en Benaja, en Obed-Edom, en Jeiel, met instrumenten der luiten en met harpen; en Asaf liet zich horen met cimbalen;
6 And Benaiah and Iahaziel Priestes, with trumpets continually before the Arke of the couenant of God.
Maar Benaja en Jahaziel, de priesters, steeds met trompetten voor de ark des verbonds van God.
7 Then at that time Dauid did appoint at the beginning to giue thankes to the Lord by the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
Te dienzelven dage gaf David ten eerste dezen psalm, om den HEERE te loven, door den dienst van Asaf, en zijn broederen.
8 Praise the Lord and call vpon his Name: declare his workes among the people.
Looft den HEERE, roept Zijn Naam aan, maakt Zijn daden bekend onder de volken.
9 Sing vnto him, sing praise vnto him, and talke of all his wonderfull workes.
Zingt Hem, psalmzingt Hem, spreekt aandachtelijk van al Zijn wonderwerken.
10 Reioyce in his holy Name: let the hearts of them that seeke the Lord reioyce.
Roemt u in den Naam Zijner heiligheid; dat zich het hart dergenen, die den HEERE zoeken, verblijde.
11 Seeke the Lord and his strength: seeke his face continually.
Vraagt naar den HEERE en Zijn sterkte, zoekt Zijn aangezicht geduriglijk.
12 Remember his marueilous workes that he hath done, his wonders, and the iudgements of his mouth,
Gedenkt Zijner wonderwerken, die Hij gedaan heeft, Zijner wondertekenen, en de oordelen Zijns monds;
13 O seede of Israel his seruant, O the children of Iaakob his chosen.
Gij, zaad van Israel, Zijn dienaar, gij, kinderen van Jakob, Zijn uitverkorenen!
14 He is the Lord our God: his iudgements are throughout all the earth.
Hij is de HEERE, onze God; Zijn oordelen zijn over de gehele aarde.
15 Remember his couenant for euer, and the worde, which hee commanded to a thousand generations:
Gedenkt tot in der eeuwigheid Zijns verbonds, des woords, dat Hij ingesteld heeft tot in het duizendste geslacht;
16 Which he made with Abraham, and his othe to Izhak:
Des verbonds, dat Hij met Abraham heeft gemaakt, en Zijns eeds aan Izak;
17 And hath confirmed it to Iaakob for a Law, and to Israel for an euerlasting couenant,
Welken Hij ook aan Jakob heeft gesteld tot een inzetting, aan Israel tot een eeuwig verbond;
18 Saying, To thee will I giue the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.
Zeggende: Ik zal u het land Kanaan geven, een snoer van ulieder erfdeel;
19 When ye were fewe in number, yea, a very fewe, and strangers therein,
Als gij weinige mensen in getal waart; ja, weinigen en vreemdelingen daarin.
20 And walked about from nation to nation, and from one kingdome to another people,
En zij wandelden van volk tot volk, en van het ene koninkrijk tot een ander volk.
21 He suffered no man to do them wrong, but rebuked Kings for their sakes, saying,
Hij liet niemand toe hen te onderdrukken; ook bestrafte Hij koningen om hunnentwil, zeggende:
22 Touch not mine anoynted, and doe my Prophets no harme.
Tast Mijn gezalfden niet aan, en doet Mijn profeten geen kwaad.
23 Sing vnto the Lord all the earth: declare his saluation from day to day.
Zingt den HEERE, gij, ganse aarde, boodschapt Zijn heil van dag tot dag.
24 Declare his glory among the nations, and his wonderful workes among all people.
Vertelt Zijn eer onder de heidenen, Zijn wonderwerken onder alle volken.
25 For the Lord is great and much to be praised, and hee is to bee feared aboue all gods.
Want de HEERE is groot, en zeer te prijzen, en Hij is vreselijk boven alle goden.
26 For all the gods of the people are idoles, but the Lord made the heauens.
Want al de goden der volken zijn afgoden; maar de HEERE heeft de hemelen gemaakt.
27 Prayse and glory are before him: power and beautie are in his place.
Majesteit en heerlijkheid zijn voor Zijn aangezicht, sterkte en vrolijkheid zijn in Zijn plaats.
28 Giue vnto the Lord, ye families of the people: giue vnto the Lord glory and power.
Geeft den HEERE, gij, geslachten der volken, geeft den HEERE eer en sterkte.
29 Giue vnto the Lord ye glory of his Name: bring an offring and come before him, and worship the Lord in the glorious Sanctuarie.
Geeft den HEERE de eer Zijns Naams, brengt offer, en komt voor Zijn aangezicht; aanbidt den HEERE in de heerlijkheid des heiligdoms.
30 Tremble ye before him, al the earth: surely the world shalbe stable and not moue.
Schrikt voor Zijn aangezicht, gij, gehele aarde! Ook zal de wereld bevestigd worden, dat zij niet bewogen worde.
31 Let the heauens reioyce, and let the earth be glad, and let them say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.
Dat de hemelen zich verblijden, en de aarde verheuge zich, en dat men onder de heidenen zegge: De HEERE regeert.
32 Let the sea roare, and all that therein is: Let the field be ioyfull and all that is in it.
Dat de zee bruise met haar volheid, dat het veld huppele van vreugde, met al wat daarin is.
33 Let the trees of the wood then reioyce at the presence of the Lord: for he commeth to iudge the earth.
Dan zullen de bomen des wouds juichen voor het aangezicht des HEEREN, omdat Hij komt, om de aarde te richten.
34 Prayse the Lord, for hee is good, for his mercie endureth for euer.
Looft den HEERE, want Hij is goed, want Zijn goedertierenheid is tot in eeuwigheid.
35 And say ye, Saue vs, O God, our saluation, and gather vs, and deliuer vs from the heathen, that we may prayse thine holy Name, and glorie in thy praise.
En zegt: Verlos ons, o God onzes heils, en verzamel ons, en red ons van de heidenen, dat wij Uw heiligen Naam loven, en dat wij ons Uws lofs roemen.
36 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for euer and euer: and let all people say, So be it, and praise the Lord.
Geloofd zij de HEERE, de God Israels, van eeuwigheid tot eeuwigheid! En al het volk zeide: Amen! en het loofde den HEERE.
37 Then he left there before the Arke of the Lordes couenant Asaph and his brethren to minister continually before the Arke, that which was to be done euery day:
Alzo liet hij daar, voor de ark des verbonds des HEEREN, Asaf en zijn broederen, om geduriglijk te dienen voor de ark, naardat op elken dag besteld was.
38 And Obed Edom and his brethren, three score and eight: and Obed Edom the sonne of Ieduthun, and Hosah were porters.
Obed-Edom nu, met hunlieder broederen, waren acht en zestig; en hij stelde Obed-Edom, den zoon van Jeduthun, en Hosa, tot poortiers;
39 And Zadok the Priest and his brethren the Priestes were before the Tabernacle of ye Lord, in the hie place that was at Gibeon,
En den priester Zadok, en zijn broederen, de priesters, voor den tabernakel des HEEREN op de hoogte, welke te Gibeon is;
40 To offer burnt offrings vnto the Lord, vpon the burnt offring altar continually, in the morning and in the euening, euen according vnto all that is written in the law of the Lord, which hee commanded Israel.
Om den HEERE de brandofferen geduriglijk te offeren op het brandofferaltaar, des morgens en des avonds; en zulks naar alles, wat er geschreven staat in de wet des HEEREN, die Hij Israel geboden had.
41 And with them were Heman, and Ieduthun, and the rest that were chosen (which were appointed by names) to praise the Lord, because his mercie endureth for euer.
En met hen Heman en Jeduthun, en de overige uitgelezenen, die met namen uitgedrukt zijn om den HEERE te loven; want Zijn goedertierenheid is tot in der eeuwigheid.
42 Euen with them were Heman and Ioduthun, to make a sound with the cornets and with the cymbales, with excellent instruments of musicke: and the sonnes of Ieduthun were at the gate.
Met hen dan waren Heman en Jeduthun, met trompetten en cimbalen voor degenen, die zich lieten horen, en met instrumenten der muziek Gods; maar de zonen van Jeduthun waren aan de poort.
43 And all the people departed, euerie man to his house: and Dauid returned to blesse his house.
Alzo toog het ganse volk henen, een iegelijk in zijn huis; en David keerde zich, om zijn huis te gaan zegenen.
