1 Chronicles 15
1 And Dauid made him houses in the citie of Dauid, and prepared a place for the Arke of God, and pitched for it a tent.
Och han byggde sig hus uti Davids stad, och tillredde ett rum till Guds ark, och gjorde ett tabernakel öfver honom.
2 Then Dauid saide, None ought to carie the Arke of God, but the Leuites: for the Lord hath chosen them to beare the Arke of the Lord, and to minister vnto him for euer.
På den tiden sade David: Guds ark bör icke bäras, utan af de Leviter; ty dem hafver Herren utvalt, att de skola bära Guds ark, och tjena honom evinnerliga.
3 And Dauid gathered all Israel together to Ierusalem to bring vp the Arke of the Lord vnto his place, which he had ordeined for it.
Derföre församlade David hela Israel till Jerusalem, att de skulle bära Herrans ark upp i det rum, som han dertill beredt hade.
4 And Dauid assembled the sonnes of Aaron, and the Leuites.
Och David lät komma tillhopa Aarons barn, och Leviterna:
5 Of the sonnes of Kohath, Vriel the chiefe, and his brethren sixe score.
Utaf Kehats barn, Uriel, den öfversten, med hans bröder, tjugu och hundrade;
6 Of the sonnes of Merari, Asaiah the chiefe, and his brethren two hundreth and twentie.
Utaf Merari barn, Asaja, den öfversten, med hans bröder, tjugu och tuhundrade;
7 Of the sonnes of Gershom, Ioel the chiefe, and his brethren an hundreth and thirtie.
Utaf Gersoms barn, Joel, den öfversten, med hans bröder, tretio och hundrade;
8 Of the sonnes of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chiefe, and his brethren two hundreth.
Utaf Elisaphans barn, Semaja, den öfversten, med hans bröder, tuhundrade;
9 Of the sonnes of Hebron, Eliel the chiefe, and his brethren fourescore.
Utaf Hebrons barn, Eliel, den öfversten, med hans bröder, åttatio;
10 Of the sonnes of Vzziel, Amminadab the chiefe, and his brethren an hundreth and twelue.
Utaf Ussiels barn, Amminadab, den öfversten, med hans bröder, tolf och hundrade.
11 And Dauid called Zadok and Abiathar the Priestes, and of the Leuites, Vriel, Asaiah and Ioel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab:
Och David kallade Zadok och AbJathar, Presterna och Leviterna, nämliga Uriel, Asaja, Joel, Semaja, Eliel, Amminadab;
12 And he saide vnto them, Ye are the chiefe fathers of the Leuites: sanctifie your selues, and your brethren, and bring vp the Arke of the Lord God of Israel vnto the place that I haue prepared for it.
Och sade till dem: I ären hufvuden för fäderna ibland de Leviter; så helger eder nu och edra bröder, att I mågen uppbära Herrans Israels Guds ark dit, der jag honom tillredt hafver:
13 For because ye were not there at the first, the Lord our God made a breach among vs: for we sought him not after due order.
Ty tillförene, när I icke voren tillstädes, gjorde Herren vår Gud en refvo ibland oss, derföre att vi icke sökte honom, såsom det borde sig.
14 So the Priestes and the Leuites sanctified them selues to bring vp the Arke of the Lord God of Israel.
Alltså helgade Presterna sig och Leviterna, att de skulle uppbära Herrans Israels Guds ark.
15 And the sonnes of the Leuites bare the Arke of God vpon their shoulders with the barres, as Moses had commanded, according to the worde of the Lord.
Och Levi barn båro Guds ark på sina axlar, med stängerna dervid, såsom Mose budit hade efter Herrans ord.
16 And Dauid spake to the chiefe of the Leuites, that they should appoint certaine of their brethren to sing with instruments of musike, with violes and harpes, and cymbales, that they might make a sounde, and lift vp their voyce with ioye.
Och David sade till de öfverstar för de Leviter, att de skulle sätta sina bröder till sångare, med strängaspel, med psaltare, harpor och klingande cymbaler, så att de högt söngo och med fröjd.
17 So the Leuites appointed Heman the sonne of Ioel, and of his brethren Asaph the sonne of Berechiah, and of the sonnes of Merari their brethren, Ethan the sonne of Kushaiah,
Då beställde de Leviter Hem an, Joels son, och utaf hans bröder Assaph, Berechia son, och utaf Merari barn deras bröder, Ethan, Kusaja son;
18 And with them their brethren in the seconde degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Iaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Iehiel, and Vnni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneah, and Obed Edom, and Ieiel the porters.
Och med dem deras bröder af det andra skiftet, nämliga Zacharia, Ben, Jaesiel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaja, Maaseja, Mattithia, Elipheleja, Mikneja, ObedEdom, Jegiel, dörravaktarena.
19 So Heman, Asaph and Ethan were fingers to make a sounde with cymbales of brasse,
Ty Heman, Assaph och Ethan voro sångare med kopparcymbaler, att klinga högt.
20 And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Iehiel, and Vnni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah with violes on Alamoth,
Men Zacharia, Asiel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseja och Benaja, med psaltare, till att sjunga efter.
21 And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneah, and Obed Edom, and Ieiel, and Azaziah, with harpes vpon Sheminith Ienazzeah.
Men Mattithia, Elipheleja, Mikneja, ObedEdom, Jegiel och Asasia, med harpor af åtta stränger, till att sjunga för dem.
22 But Chenaniah the chiefe of the Leuites had the charge, bearing ye burden in the charge, for he was able to instruct.
Men Chenanja, Leviternas öfverste sångmästare, att han skulle undervisa dem om sången, ty han var förståndig.
23 And Berechiah and Elkanah were porters for the Arke.
Och Berechia och Elkana voro dörravaktare om arken.
24 And Shecaniah and Iehoshaphat and Nethaneel and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer the Priestes did blowe with trumpets before the Arke of God, and Obed Edom and Ieiiah were porters for the Arke.
Men Sechania, Josaphat, Nethaneel, Amasai, Zacharia, Benaja, Elieser, Presterna, blåste med trummeter för Guds ark. Och ObedEdom och Jehia voro dörravaktare om arken.
25 So Dauid and the Elders of Israel and the captaines of thousandes went to bring vp the Arke of the couenant of the Lord from the house of Obed Edom with ioye.
Alltså gingo David och de äldste i Israel, och de öfverste öfver tusende upp, till att hem ta Herrans förbunds ark utur ObedEdoms hus med fröjd.
26 And because that God helped the Leuites that bare the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, they offered seuen bullockes and seuen rammes.
Och medan Gud halp Leviterna, som båro Herrans förbunds ark, offrade man sju stutar och sju vädrar.
27 And Dauid had on him a linen garment, as all the Leuites that bare the Arke, and the singers and Chenaniah that had the chiefe charge of the singers: and vpon Dauid was a linnen Ephod.
Och David hade en linnan kjortel uppå; så ock alle Leviter, som arken båro, och sångarena och Chenanja sångmästaren, med sångarena; hade också David en linnan lifkjortel uppå.
28 Thus all Israel brought vp the Arke of the Lordes couenant with shouting and sounde of cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbales, making a sound with violes and with harpes.
Alltså båro hele Israel Herrans förbunds ark upp med fröjd, basuner, trummeter och klingande cymbaler, med psaltare och harpor.
29 And when the Arke of the couenant of the Lord came into the citie of Dauid, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at a windowe, and sawe King Dauid dauncing and playing, and she despised him in her heart.
Då nu Herrans förbunds ark kom uti Davids stad, såg Michal, Sauls dotter, ut genom fenstret; och då hon fick se Konung David springa och spela, föraktade hon honom i sitt hjerta.
