1 Chronicles 14
1 Then sent Hiram the King of Tyrus messengers to Dauid, and cedar trees, with masons and carpenters to builde him an house.
Hiram, rey de Tiro, envió hombres a David con cedros, y trabajadores de la piedra y de la madera para la construcción de su palacio.
2 Therefore Dauid knewe that the Lord had confirmed him King ouer Israel, and that his kingdome was lift vp on hie, because of his people Israel.
Y David vio que el Señor había salvado su posición de rey sobre Israel, exaltado su reino por amor a su pueblo Israel.
3 Also Dauid tooke moe wiues at Ierusalem, and Dauid begate moe sonnes and daughters.
Y mientras él vivía en Jerusalén, David tomó más esposas y se convirtió en el padre de más hijos e hijas.
4 And these are the names of the children which he had at Ierusalem, Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Salomon,
Estos son los nombres de los hijos que tuvo en Jerusalén: Samúa, y Sobab, Natán y Salomón.
5 And Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,
E Ibhar, Elisua, Elpelet,
6 And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Iaphia,
Y Noga, Nefeg, Jafia.
7 And Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphalet.
Y Elisama, Eliada, y Elifeset.
8 But when the Philistims heard that Dauid was anointed King ouer Israel, all the Philistims came vp to seeke Dauid. And when Dauid heard, he went out against them.
Y cuando los filisteos tuvieron noticias de que David había sido hecho rey sobre todo Israel, subieron en busca de David, y David, oyéndolo, salió contra ellos.
9 And the Philistims came, and spred them selues in the valley of Rephaim.
Habían venido los filisteos, y habían salido en todas direcciones en el valle de Refaim.
10 Then Dauid asked counsel at God, saying, Shall I goe vp against the Philistims, and wilt thou deliuer them into mine hande? And the Lord saide vnto him, Goe vp: for I will deliuer them into thine hande.
Y David, deseando instrucciones de Dios, dijo: ¿Debo subir contra los filisteos? ¿Y los entregarás en mis manos? Y el Señor dijo: Sube; porque las entregaré en tus manos.
11 So they came vp to Baal-perazim, and Dauid smote them there: and Dauid said, God hath deuided mine enemies with mine hande, as waters are deuided: therefore they called the name of that place, Baal-perazim.
Entonces subieron a Baal-perazim, y David los venció allí, y David dijo: Dios ha dejado que las fuerzas que luchan contra mí se rompan por mi mano, como se rompe un muro por el agua corriendo; Entonces le dieron a ese lugar el nombre de Baal-perazim.
12 And there they had left their gods: and Dauid said, Let them euen be burnt with fire.
Y los filisteos no tomaron sus imágenes con ellos en su vuelo; y por orden de David, fueron quemados con fuego.
13 Againe the Philistims came and spread them selues in the valley.
Entonces los filisteos salieron de nuevo en todas direcciones en el valle.
14 And when Dauid asked againe counsell at God, God said to him, Thou shalt not goe vp after them, but turne away from them, that thou mayest come vpon them ouer against the mulberie trees.
Y David fue a consultar a Dios; Y díjole Dios: No subas tras ellos; pero, al alejarse de ellos, cuando estén frente a los árboles de moras.
15 And when thou hearest the noyse of one going in the toppes of the mulberie trees, then goe out to battel: for God is gone foorth before thee, to smite the hoste of the Philistims.
Y al sonido de pasos en las copas de los árboles, sal a la lucha, porque Dios ha salido ante ti para vencer al ejército de los filisteos.
16 So Dauid did as God had commanded him: and they smote the hoste of the Philistims from Gibeon euen to Gezer.
E hizo David como el Señor le había dicho; y vencieron al ejército de los filisteos, atacándolos desde Gabaón hasta Gezer.
17 And the fame of Dauid went out into all landes, and the Lord brought the feare of him vpon all nations.
Y el nombre de David fue honrado en todas las tierras; y el Señor puso el temor de él sobre todas las naciones.
