1 Chronicles 14
1 Then sent Hiram the King of Tyrus messengers to Dauid, and cedar trees, with masons and carpenters to builde him an house.
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସୋରର ରାଜା ହୂରମ୍ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଦୂତଗଣ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବାକୁ ଏରସ କାଷ୍ଠ ଓ ରାଜମିସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ବଢ଼େଇମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲା।
2 Therefore Dauid knewe that the Lord had confirmed him King ouer Israel, and that his kingdome was lift vp on hie, because of his people Israel.
ତହିଁରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ରାଜପଦରେ ସ୍ଥିର କଲେ, ଏହା ସେ ବୁଝିଲେ, କାରଣ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଲୋକ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ସକାଶୁ ତାଙ୍କର ରାଜ୍ୟ ଉନ୍ନତିପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇଥିଲା।
3 Also Dauid tooke moe wiues at Ierusalem, and Dauid begate moe sonnes and daughters.
ପୁଣି, ଦାଉଦ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ଆହୁରି ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଆହୁରି ପୁତ୍ରକନ୍ୟା ଜାତ ହେଲେ।
4 And these are the names of the children which he had at Ierusalem, Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Salomon,
ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ତାଙ୍କର ଯେଉଁ ଯେଉଁ ସନ୍ତାନ ଜନ୍ମିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ନାମ; ଶମ୍ମୂୟ, ଶୋବବ୍, ନାଥନ, ଶଲୋମନ,
5 And Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,
ୟିଭର, ଇଲୀଶୂୟ, ଇଲ୍ପେଲଟ୍,
6 And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Iaphia,
ନୋଗହ, ନେଫଗ୍, ଯାଫୀୟ,
7 And Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphalet.
ଇଲୀଶାମା, ବୀଲୀୟାଦା ଓ ଇଲୀଫେଲଟ୍।
8 But when the Philistims heard that Dauid was anointed King ouer Israel, all the Philistims came vp to seeke Dauid. And when Dauid heard, he went out against them.
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଦାଉଦ ସମୁଦାୟ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଉପରେ ରାଜାଭିଷିକ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନେ ଶୁଣନ୍ତେ, ସମସ୍ତ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଲୋକ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କୁ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରିବାକୁ ଗଲେ; ତହୁଁ ଦାଉଦ ତାହା ଶୁଣି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ବାହାରିଲେ।
9 And the Philistims came, and spred them selues in the valley of Rephaim.
ଏହି ସମୟରେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନେ ରଫାୟୀମ ତଳଭୂମିରେ ଚଢ଼ାଉ କରିଥିଲେ।
10 Then Dauid asked counsel at God, saying, Shall I goe vp against the Philistims, and wilt thou deliuer them into mine hande? And the Lord saide vnto him, Goe vp: for I will deliuer them into thine hande.
ଏଥିରେ ଦାଉଦ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରି କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ କʼଣ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଉଠି ଯିବି? ତୁମ୍ଭେ କʼଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୋʼ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବ?” ତହିଁରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଉଠିଯାଅ, କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବା।”
11 So they came vp to Baal-perazim, and Dauid smote them there: and Dauid said, God hath deuided mine enemies with mine hande, as waters are deuided: therefore they called the name of that place, Baal-perazim.
ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ବାଲ୍-ପରାସୀମ୍କୁ ଆସନ୍ତେ, ଦାଉଦ ସେଠାରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଘାତ କଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ଦାଉଦ କହିଲେ, “ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ମୋʼ ହସ୍ତରେ ମୋହର ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଳ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେତୁଭଙ୍ଗ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଭଗ୍ନ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।” ଏହେତୁ ସେମାନେ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନର ନାମ “ବାଲ୍-ପରାସୀମ୍” ରଖିଲେ।
12 And there they had left their gods: and Dauid said, Let them euen be burnt with fire.
ଆଉ ସେଠାରେ ସେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଦେବତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ଯାଇଥିଲେ; ପୁଣି, ଦାଉଦ ଆଜ୍ଞା କରନ୍ତେ, ସେହି ସବୁ ଅଗ୍ନିରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ କରାଗଲା।
13 Againe the Philistims came and spread them selues in the valley.
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ତଳିଭୂମିରେ ଚଢ଼ାଉ କଲେ।
14 And when Dauid asked againe counsell at God, God said to him, Thou shalt not goe vp after them, but turne away from them, that thou mayest come vpon them ouer against the mulberie trees.
ତହିଁରେ ଦାଉଦ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ପଚାରନ୍ତେ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପଶ୍ଚାତ୍ ଯାଅ ନାହିଁ; ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଫେରିଯାଇ ତୂତ ବୃକ୍ଷ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କର।
15 And when thou hearest the noyse of one going in the toppes of the mulberie trees, then goe out to battel: for God is gone foorth before thee, to smite the hoste of the Philistims.
ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୂତ ବୃକ୍ଷ ତୋଟା ଉପରେ ସୈନ୍ୟଗମନର ଶବ୍ଦ ଶୁଣିଲେ, ଯୁଦ୍ଧକୁ ବାହାରିବ; କାରଣ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ସୈନ୍ୟଦଳକୁ ଆଘାତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହେବେ।”
16 So Dauid did as God had commanded him: and they smote the hoste of the Philistims from Gibeon euen to Gezer.
ତହିଁରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଯେପରି ଆଜ୍ଞା କଲେ, ଦାଉଦ ସେହିପରି କଲେ; ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ଗିବୀୟୋନ୍ଠାରୁ ଗେଷର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ସୈନ୍ୟଦଳକୁ ଆଘାତ କଲେ।
17 And the fame of Dauid went out into all landes, and the Lord brought the feare of him vpon all nations.
ତହିଁରେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ସୁଖ୍ୟାତି ସର୍ବଦେଶରେ ବ୍ୟାପିଗଲା; ପୁଣି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସବୁ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଭୟ ଜନ୍ମାଇଲେ।
