1 Chronicles 14
1 Then sent Hiram the King of Tyrus messengers to Dauid, and cedar trees, with masons and carpenters to builde him an house.
ಟೈರಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹೀರಾಮನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಅರಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ದೂತರನ್ನು, ದೇವದಾರು ಮರಗಳನ್ನು, ಬಡಗಿಯವರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಕಲ್ಲುಕುಟಿಗರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
2 Therefore Dauid knewe that the Lord had confirmed him King ouer Israel, and that his kingdome was lift vp on hie, because of his people Israel.
ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು, ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸಿದರೆಂದೂ, ತಮ್ಮ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತಕ್ಕೇರಿಸಿದರೆಂದೂ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡನು.
3 Also Dauid tooke moe wiues at Ierusalem, and Dauid begate moe sonnes and daughters.
ದಾವೀದನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹ ಕೆಲವು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪುತ್ರ, ಪುತ್ರಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆದನು.
4 And these are the names of the children which he had at Ierusalem, Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Salomon,
ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಹೆಸರುಗಳು: ಶಮ್ಮೂವ, ಶೋಬಾಬ್, ನಾತಾನ್, ಸೊಲೊಮೋನ್,
5 And Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,
ಇಬ್ಹಾರ್, ಎಲೀಷೂವ, ಎಲ್ಪೆಲೆಟ,
6 And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Iaphia,
ನೋಗಹ, ನೆಫೆಗ್, ಯಾಫೀಯ,
7 And Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphalet.
ಎಲೀಷಾಮ, ಎಲ್ಯಾದ, ಎಲೀಫೆಲೆಟ್.
8 But when the Philistims heard that Dauid was anointed King ouer Israel, all the Philistims came vp to seeke Dauid. And when Dauid heard, he went out against them.
ದಾವೀದನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನಾಗಿ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಹೋದರು. ದಾವೀದನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವರಿಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟನು.
9 And the Philistims came, and spred them selues in the valley of Rephaim.
ಆಗ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಬಂದು ರೆಫಾಯಿಮ್ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು.
10 Then Dauid asked counsel at God, saying, Shall I goe vp against the Philistims, and wilt thou deliuer them into mine hande? And the Lord saide vnto him, Goe vp: for I will deliuer them into thine hande.
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ದಾವೀದನು, “ನಾನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬಹುದೋ? ಅವರನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವಿರೋ?” ಎಂದು ದೇವರನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಹೋಗು, ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವೆನು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
11 So they came vp to Baal-perazim, and Dauid smote them there: and Dauid said, God hath deuided mine enemies with mine hande, as waters are deuided: therefore they called the name of that place, Baal-perazim.
ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ದಾವೀದನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡಿಗರೂ ಬಾಳ್ ಪೆರಾಜಿಮ್ ಎಂಬಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿಮಾಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು, “ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವಹಾಗೆ, ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದನು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಳ್ ಪೆರಾಜಿಮ್ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು.
12 And there they had left their gods: and Dauid said, Let them euen be burnt with fire.
ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋದುದರಿಂದ, ದಾವೀದನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಮಾಡಿದನು.
13 Againe the Philistims came and spread them selues in the valley.
ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಮತ್ತೆ ತಿರುಗಿಬಂದು ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಲಿಗೆಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು.
14 And when Dauid asked againe counsell at God, God said to him, Thou shalt not goe vp after them, but turne away from them, that thou mayest come vpon them ouer against the mulberie trees.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ದಾವೀದನು ತಿರುಗಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಅವರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗದೆ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ, ಬಾಕಾಮರಗಳಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿಮಾಡು.
15 And when thou hearest the noyse of one going in the toppes of the mulberie trees, then goe out to battel: for God is gone foorth before thee, to smite the hoste of the Philistims.
ಬಾಕಾಮರಗಳ ತುದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದುಬರುವ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ನೀನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗಲೇ, ದೇವರು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದಂಡನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯಲು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟರೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಡು,” ಎಂದರು.
16 So Dauid did as God had commanded him: and they smote the hoste of the Philistims from Gibeon euen to Gezer.
ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು, ದೇವರು ತನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರಮಾಡಿ, ಅವನು ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನಿನಿಂದ ಗೆಜೆರಿನವರೆಗೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದಂಡನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದರು.
17 And the fame of Dauid went out into all landes, and the Lord brought the feare of him vpon all nations.
ದಾವೀದನ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯು ಸಮಸ್ತ ದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಹರಡಿತು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವನ ಭಯವನ್ನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದರು.
