1 Chronicles 13
1 And Dauid counselled with the captaines of thousandes and of hundreths, and with all the gouernours.
POI Davide si consigliò con tutti i conduttori, capi delle migliaia, e delle centinaia.
2 And Dauid said to all the Congregation of Israel, If it seeme good to you, and that it proceedeth of the Lord our God, we will sende to and from vnto our brethren, that are left in all the lande of Israel (for with them are the Priests and the Leuites in the cities and their suburbes) that they may assemble them selues vnto vs.
E disse a tutta la raunanza d'Israele: Se vi par bene, e [se ciò procede] dal Signore Iddio nostro, mandiamo in qua ed in là agli altri nostri fratelli, [che sono] per tutte le contrade d'Israele, appo i quali [sono] i sacerdoti e i Leviti, nelle terre, i cui contadi sono loro assegnati, a dir loro che si raunino appresso a noi.
3 And we will bring againe the Arke of our God to vs: for we sought not vnto it in the dayes of Saul.
E riduciamo appresso di noi l'Arca dell'Iddio nostro; perciocchè noi non l'abbiamo ricercata al tempo di Saulle.
4 And all the Congregation answered, Let vs doe so: for the thing seemed good in the eyes of all the people.
E tutta la raunanza disse che si facesse così; perciocchè la cosa piacque a tutto il popolo.
5 So Dauid gathered all Israel together from Shihor in Egypt, euen vnto the entring of Hamath, to bring the Arke of God from Kiriath-iearim.
Davide adunque adunò tutto Israele, da Sihor di Egitto, fino all'entrata di Hamat, per condurre l'Arca di Dio da Chiriat-iearim.
6 And Dauid went vp and all Israel to Baalath, in Kiriath-iearim, that was in Iudah, to bring vp from thence the Arke of God the Lord that dwelleth betweene the Cherubims, where his Name is called on.
E Davide salì con tutto Israele, verso Baala, in Chiriat-iearim, [terra] di Giuda, per trasportar di là l'Arca del Signore Iddio, che siede sopra i Cherubini, del cui nome [ella] è nominata.
7 And they caryed the Arke of God in a newe cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Vzza and Ahio guided the cart.
E l'Arca di Dio fu posta sopra un carro nuovo[per condurla via] dalla casa di Abinadab. Ed Uzza, ed Ahio guidavano il carro.
8 And Dauid and all Israel played before God with all their might, both with songes and with harpes, and with violes, and with timbrels and with cymbales and with trumpets.
E Davide, e tutto Israele, festeggiavano a tutto potere davanti a Dio, con canti, e con cetere, e con salteri, e con tamburi, e con cembali, e con trombe.
9 And when they came vnto the thresshing floore of Chidon, Vzza put forth his hand to holde the Arke, for the oxen did shake it.
Ora, quando furono giunti infino all'aia di Chidon, Uzza stese la mano per rattener l'Arca; perciocchè i buoi l'aveano smossa.
10 But the wrath of the Lord was kindled against Vzza, and he smote him, because he layed his hande vpon the Arke: so he dyed there before God.
E l'ira del Signore si accese contro ad Uzza, ed egli lo percosse, perchè avea stesa la mano sopra l'Arca; ed egli morì quivi davanti a Dio.
11 And Dauid was angrie, because the Lord had made a breach in Vzza, and he called the name of that place Perez-vzza vnto this day.
E Davide si attristò che il Signore avesse fatta rottura in Uzza; perciò chiamò quel luogo Peres-Uzza; [il quale nome dura] infino ad oggi.
12 And Dauid feared God that day, saying, Howe shall I bring in to me the Arke of God?
E Davide ebbe in quel dì paura di Dio, e disse: Come condurrei io appresso di me l'Arca di Dio?
13 Therefore Dauid brought not the Arke to him into the citie of Dauid, but caused it to turne into the house of Obed Edom the Gittite.
E Davide non ritrasse l'Arca appresso di sè, nella Città di Davide; ma la fece ridurre dentro alla casa di Obed-Edom Ghitteo.
14 So the Arke of God remained in the house of Obed Edom, euen in his house three moneths: and the Lord blessed the house of Obed Edom, and all that he had.
E l'Arca di Dio dimorò in casa di Obed-Edom, con la famiglia di esso, lo spazio di tre mesi. E il Signore benedisse la casa di Obed-Edom, e tutto ciò ch'[era] suo.
