1 Chronicles 10
1 Then the Philistims fought against Israel: and the men of Israel fled before the Philistims, and fell downe slaine in mount Gilboa.
Karon nakiggubat ang mga Filistihanon batok sa Israel. Ang matag tawo sa Israel miikyas gikan sa Filistihanon ug nangamatay sa Bukid sa Gilboa.
2 And the Philistims pursued after Saul and after his sonnes, and the Philistims smote Ionathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua the sonnes of Saul.
Hapit na maapsan sa mga Filistihanon si Saul ug ang iyang anak nga lalaki. Gipatay sa mga Filistihanon si Jonathan, si Abinadab, ug si Malkishua, ang iyang mga anak nga lalaki.
3 And the battel was sore against Saul; and the archers hit him, and he was wounded of the archers.
Misamot na pag-ayo ang gubat batok kang Saul, ug naigo siya sa mga tigpana. Hilabihan ang iyang gibating kasakit tungod sa pana.
4 Then sayde Saul to his armour bearer, Drawe out thy sworde, and thrust me thorowe therewith, lest these vncircumcised come and mocke at me: but his armour bearer would not, for he was sore afraid: therefore Saul tooke the sword and fell vpon it.
Unya miingon si Saul sa iyang tigdala sa hinagiban, “Hulbota ang imong espada ug duslaka ako gamit niini. Kay kung dili, moabot kining mga walay tuli ug magpasipala kanako.” Apan midumili ang iyang tigdala sa hinagiban, kay nahadlok man siya pag-ayo. Busa gihulbot ni Saul ang iyang kaugalingong espada ug miubo niini.
5 And when his armour bearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise vpon the sworde, and dyed.
Sa pagkakita sa iyang tigdala sa hinagiban nga namatay na si Saul, siya usab miubo sa iyang espada ug namatay.
6 So Saul dyed and his three sonnes, and all his house, they dyed together.
Busa namatay si Saul, ug ang iyang tulo ka mga anak nga lalaki, busa nangamatay ang tibuok sakop sa iyang panimalay.
7 And when all the men of Israel that were in the valley, sawe how they fledde, and that Saul and his sonnes were dead, they forsooke their cities, and fled away, and the Philistims came, and dwelt in them.
Sa pagkakita sa matag tawo sa Israel nga atua didto sa walog nga nangikyas sila, ug namatay na si Saul ug ang iyang mga anak, gibiyaan nila ang ilang mga siyudad ug nangikyas. Unya nangabot ang mga Filistihanon ug namuyo niini.
8 And on the morrowe when the Philistims came to spoyle them that were slaine, they found Saul and his sonnes lying in mount Gilboa.
Nahitabo nga sa pagkasunod adlaw, sa pagpangabot sa mga Filistihanon aron sa pagkuha sa mga butang sa mga patay, nakaplagan nila si Saul ug ang iyang mga anak nga nagbuy-od didto sa Bukid sa Gilboa.
9 And when they had stript him, they tooke his head and his armour, and sent them into the land of the Philistims round about, to publish it vnto their idoles, and to the people.
Gihuboan nila siya ug gidala ang iyang ulo ug ang iyang hinagiban. Nagpadala sila ug mga mensahero sa tibuok Filistia aron sa pagbalita sa ilang mga diosdios ug sa katawhan.
10 And they layd vp his armour in the house of their god, and set vp his head in the house of Dagon.
Gibutang nila ang iyang hinagiban sulod sa templo sa ilang mga diosdios, ug gibitay ang iyang ulo sa templo ni Dagon.
11 When all they of Iabesh Gilead heard all that the Philistims had done to Saul,
Sa pagkadungog sa tibuok Jabes Gilead sa tanang gibuhat sa mga Filistihanon ngadto kang Saul,
12 Then they arose (all the valiant men) and tooke the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sonnes, and brought them to Iabesh, and buryed the bones of them vnder an oke in Iabesh, and fasted seuen dayes.
nangadto ang tanang mga lalaking manggugubat ug gikuha ang lawas ni Saul ug sa iyang mga anak nga lalaki, ug gidala sila sa Jabes. Gisunog nila ang ilang mga bukog ilalom sa kahoy nga tugas ug nagpuasa sulod sa pito ka adlaw.
13 So Saul dyed for his transgression, that he committed against the Lord, euen against the word of the Lord, which he kept not, and in that he sought and asked counsel of a familiar spirit,
Busa namatay si Saul tungod sa iyang pagkamasinupakon kang Yahweh. Wala niya tumana ang mga gitudlo ni Yahweh, apan nagpakisayod hinuon gikan sa tawo nga makasulti sa mga patay.
14 And asked not of the Lord: therefore he slewe him, and turned the kingdome vnto Dauid the sonne of Ishai.
Wala niya pangitaa ang giya nga gikan kang Yahweh, busa gipatay siya ni Yahweh ug gitugyan ang gingharian ngadto kang David nga anak ni Jesse.
