1 Adam, Sheth, Enosh,
Adamu, Sethi, Enoshi,
2 Kenan, Mahalaleel, Iered,
Kenani, Mahalaleli, Yaredi,
3 Henoch, Methushelah, Lamech,
Enoki, Methusela, Lameki, Noa.
4 Noah, She, Ham, and Iapheth.
Wana wa Noa walikuwa: Shemu, Hamu na Yafethi.
5 The sonnes of Iapheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Iauan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
Wana wa Yafethi walikuwa: Gomeri, Magogu, Madai, Yavani, Tubali, Mesheki na Tirasi.
6 And the sonnes of Gomer, Ashchenaz, and Iphath and Togarmah.
Wana wa Gomeri walikuwa: Ashkenazi, Rifathi na Togarma.
7 Also the sonnes of Iauan, Elishah and Tarshishah, Kittim, and Dodanim.
Wana wa Yavani walikuwa: Elisha, Tarshishi, Kitimu na Rodanimu.
8 The sonnes of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, Put and Canaan.
Wana wa Hamu walikuwa: Kushi, Misraimu, Putu na Kanaani.
9 And the sonnes of Cush, Siba and Hauilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. Also the sonnes of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
Wana wa Kushi walikuwa: Seba, Havila, Sabta, Raama na Sabteka. Wana wa Raama walikuwa: Sheba na Dedani.
10 And Cush begate Nimrod, who began to be mightie in the earth.
Kushi akamzaa Nimrodi, ambaye alikua akawa mtu shujaa katika nchi.
11 And Mizraim begate Ludim and Anamim, Lehabim, and Naphtuhim:
Misraimu akawazaa: Waludi, Waanami, Walehabi, Wanaftuhi,
12 Pathrusim also, and Casluhim, of whome came the Philistims, and Caphtorim.
Wapathrusi, Wakasluhi (hao ndio asili ya Wafilisti) na Wakaftori.
13 Also Canaan begate Zidon his first borne, and Heth,
Wana wa Kanaani walikuwa: Sidoni, mzaliwa wake wa kwanza, na Hethi,
14 And the Iebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
Wayebusi, Waamori, Wagirgashi,
15 And the Hiuuite, and the Arkite, and the Simite,
Wahivi, Waariki, Wasini,
16 And the Aruadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.
Waarvadi, Wasemari na Wahamathi.
17 The sonnes of Shem were Elam and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and Vz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.
Wana wa Shemu walikuwa: Elamu, Ashuru, Arfaksadi, Ludi na Aramu. Wana wa Aramu walikuwa: Usi, Huli, Getheri na Mesheki.
18 Also Arpachshad begate Shelah, and Shelah begate Eber.
Arfaksadi akamzaa Shela, Shela akamzaa Eberi.
19 Vnto Eber also were borne two sonnes: the name of the one was Peleg: for in his dayes was ye earth deuided: and his brothers name was Ioktan.
Eberi alipata wana wawili: Mmoja wao aliitwa Pelegi, kwa kuwa wakati wake dunia iligawanyika; nduguye aliitwa Yoktani.
20 Then Ioktan begate Almodad and Sheleph, and Hazermaueth and Ierah,
Wana wa Yoktani walikuwa: Almodadi, Shelefu, Hasarmawethi, Yera,
21 And Hadoram and Vzal and Diklah,
Hadoramu, Uzali, Dikla,
22 And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
Obali, Abimaeli, Sheba,
23 And Ophir, and Hauilah and Iobab: all these were the sonnes of Ioktan.
Ofiri, Havila na Yobabu. Wote hawa walikuwa wana wa Yoktani.
24 Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah,
Wana wa Shemu walikuwa Arfaksadi, Shela,
25 Eber, Peleg, Rehu,
Eberi, Pelegi, Reu,
26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,
Serugi, Nahori, Tera,
27 Abram, which is Abraham.
Tera akamzaa Abramu (yaani, Abrahamu).
28 The sonnes of Abraham were Izhak, and Ishmael.
Abrahamu alikuwa na wana wawili: Isaki na Ishmaeli.
29 These are their generations. The eldest sonne of Ishmael was Nebaioth, and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

30 Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,
Mishma, Duma, Masa, Hadadi, Tema,
31 Ietur, Naphish and Kedemah: these are the sonnes of Ishmael.
Yeturi, Nafishi na Kedema. Hao ndio wana wa Ishmaeli.
32 And Keturah Abrahams concubine bare sonnes, Zimran, and Iokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah: and the sonnes of Iokshan, Sheba, and Dedan.
Wana waliozaliwa na Ketura suria wa Abrahamu walikuwa: Zimrani, Yokshani, Medani, Midiani, Ishbaki na Shua. Wana wa Yokshani walikuwa: Sheba na Dedani.
33 And the sonnes of Midian were Ephah, and Ephar, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah: All these are the sonnes of Keturah.
Wana wa Midiani walikuwa: Efa, Eferi, Hanoki, Abida na Eldaa. Wote hao walikuwa wa uzao wa Ketura.
34 And Abraham begate Izhak: the sonnes of Izhak, Esau, and Israel.
Abrahamu alikuwa baba wa Isaki. Wana wa Isaki walikuwa: Esau na Israeli.
35 The sonnes of Esau were Eliphaz, Reuel, and Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah.
Wana wa Esau walikuwa: Elifazi, Reueli, Yeushi, Yalamu na Kora.
36 The sonnes of Eliphaz, Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
Wana wa Elifazi walikuwa: Temani, Omari, Sefo, Gatamu na Kenazi; Elifazi kwa Timna akamzaa Amaleki.
37 The sonnes of Reuel, Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah.
Wana wa Reueli walikuwa: Nahathi, Zera, Shama na Miza.
38 And the sonnes of Seir, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
Wana wa Seiri walikuwa: Lotani, Shobali, Sibeoni, Ana, Dishoni, Eseri na Dishani.
39 And the sonnes of Lotan, Hori, and Homam, and Timna Lotans sister.
Wana wa Lotani walikuwa wawili: Hori na Homamu. Lotani alikuwa na dada yake aliyeitwa Timna.
40 The sonnes of Shobal were Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sonnes of Zibeon, Aiah and Anah.
Wana wa Shobali walikuwa: Alvani, Manahathi, Ebali, Shefo na Onamu. Wana wa Sibeoni walikuwa: Aiya na Ana.
41 The sonne of Anah was Dishon. And the sonnes of Dishon, Amran, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
Mwana wa Ana alikuwa: Dishoni. Nao wana wa Dishoni walikuwa: Hemdani, Eshbani, Ithrani na Kerani.
42 The sonnes of Ezer were Bilhan, and Zaauan, and Iaakan. The sonnes of Dishon were Vz, and Aran.
Wana wa Eseri walikuwa: Bilhani, Zaavani na Akani. Wana wa Dishani walikuwa: Usi na Arani.
43 And these were the Kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before a King reigned ouer the children of Israel, to wit, Bela the sonne of Beor, and the name of his citie was Dinhabah.
Hawa ndio wafalme waliotawala Edomu kabla hajatawala mfalme yeyote wa Waisraeli: Bela mwana wa Beori, ambaye mji wake ni Dinhaba.
44 Then Bela died, and Iobab the sonne of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
Bela alipofariki, Yobabu mwana wa Zera kutoka Bosra akawa mfalme baada yake.
45 And whe Iobab was dead, Hussham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
Yobabu alipofariki, Hushamu kutoka nchi ya Watemani akawa mfalme baada yake.
46 And when Hussham was dead, Hadad the sonne of Bedad which smote Midian in the fielde of Moab, reigned in his steade, and the name of his citie was Auith.
Hushamu alipofariki, Hadadi mwana wa Bedadi, aliyeshinda Midiani katika nchi ya Moabu, akawa mfalme baada yake. Mji wake uliitwa Avithi.
47 So Hadad dyed, and Samlah of Mashrecah reigned in his stead.
Hadadi alipofariki, Samla kutoka Masreka akawa mfalme baada yake.
48 And Samlah dyed, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the riuer reigned in his stead.
Samla alipofariki, Shauli kutoka Rehobothi ngʼambo ya Mto Frati, akawa mfalme baada yake.
49 And when Shaul was dead, Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor reigned in his stead.
Shauli alipofariki, Baal-Hanani mwana wa Akbori akawa mfalme baada yake.
50 And Baal-hanan dyed, and Hadad reigned in his stead, and the name of his citie was Pai, and his wiues name Mehetabel the daughter of Matred the daughter of Mezahab.
Baal-Hanani alipofariki, Hadadi akawa mfalme baada yake. Mji wake uliitwa Pau, na mkewe aliitwa Mehetabeli binti Matredi, binti Me-Zahabu.
51 Hadad dyed also, and there were dukes in Edom, duke Timna, duke Aliah, duke Ietheth,
Naye Hadadi pia akafa. Wakuu wa Edomu walikuwa: Timna, Alva, Yethethi,
52 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
Oholibama, Ela, Pinoni,
53 Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
Kenazi, Temani, Mibsari,
54 Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these were the dukes of Edom.
Magdieli na Iramu. Hao ndio wakuu wa makabila ya Edomu.
