Noé, Sem, Cham et Japhet.
5 The sonnes of Iapheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Iauan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
Enfants de Japhet: Gomer, Magog, Madaï, Yavân, Toubal, Méchec et Tirâs.
6 And the sonnes of Gomer, Ashchenaz, and Iphath and Togarmah.
Enfants de Gomer: Achkenaz, Difath et Togarma.
7 Also the sonnes of Iauan, Elishah and Tarshishah, Kittim, and Dodanim.
Enfants de Yavân: Elicha, Tharsis, Kittim et Rodanim.
8 The sonnes of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, Put and Canaan.
Enfants de Cham: Kouch, Misraïm, Pout et Canaan.
9 And the sonnes of Cush, Siba and Hauilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. Also the sonnes of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
Enfants de Kouch: Seba, Havila, Sabta, Râma et Sabteca; enfants de Râma: Cheba et Dedân.
10 And Cush begate Nimrod, who began to be mightie in the earth.
Kouch engendra aussi Nemrod, celui qui, le premier, fut puissant sur la terre.
11 And Mizraim begate Ludim and Anamim, Lehabim, and Naphtuhim:
Misraïm fut la souche des Loudim, des Anamim, des Lehabim, des Naftouhim,
12 Pathrusim also, and Casluhim, of whome came the Philistims, and Caphtorim.
des Pathrousim, des Kaslouhim (d’où sortirent les Philistins) et des Kaftorim.
13 Also Canaan begate Zidon his first borne, and Heth,
Canaan engendra Sidon, son premier-né, Heth,
14 And the Iebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
puis le Jébuséen, l’Amorréen, le Ghirgachéen,
15 And the Hiuuite, and the Arkite, and the Simite,
le Hévéen, l’Arkéen, le Sinéen,
16 And the Aruadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.
l’Arvadéen, le Cemaréen et le Hamathéen.
17 The sonnes of Shem were Elam and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and Vz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.
Enfants de Sem: Elam, Assur, Arphaxad, Loud, Aram, Ouç, Houl, Ghéter et Méchec.
18 Also Arpachshad begate Shelah, and Shelah begate Eber.
Arphaxad engendra Chélah, et Chélah engendra Eber.
19 Vnto Eber also were borne two sonnes: the name of the one was Peleg: for in his dayes was ye earth deuided: and his brothers name was Ioktan.
A Eber il naquit deux fils. Le nom de l’un était Péleg, parce que de son temps fut partagée la terre; et le nom de son frère: Yoktân.
20 Then Ioktan begate Almodad and Sheleph, and Hazermaueth and Ierah,
Yoktân engendra Almodad, Chélef, Haçarmaveth, Yérah,
21 And Hadoram and Vzal and Diklah,
Hadoram, Ouzal, Dikla,
22 And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
Ebal, Abimaêl, Cheba,
23 And Ophir, and Hauilah and Iobab: all these were the sonnes of Ioktan.
Ophir, Havila et Yobab. Tous ceux-là furent enfants de Yoktân.
24 Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah,
Sem, Arphaxad, Chélah,
25 Eber, Peleg, Rehu,
Eber, Péleg, Reou,
26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,
Seroug, Nacor, Tharé,
27 Abram, which is Abraham.
Abram, qui est identique à Abraham.
28 The sonnes of Abraham were Izhak, and Ishmael.
Enfants d’Abraham: Isaac et Ismaël.
29 These are their generations. The eldest sonne of Ishmael was Nebaioth, and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

30 Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,

31 Ietur, Naphish and Kedemah: these are the sonnes of Ishmael.
Yetour, Nafich et Kêdma. Tels sont les fils d’Ismaël.
32 And Keturah Abrahams concubine bare sonnes, Zimran, and Iokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah: and the sonnes of Iokshan, Sheba, and Dedan.
Enfants de Ketoura, concubine d’Abraham: elle enfanta Zimrân, Yokchân, Medân, Madiân, Yichbak et Chouah. Enfants de Yokchân: Cheba et Dedân.
33 And the sonnes of Midian were Ephah, and Ephar, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah: All these are the sonnes of Keturah.
Enfants de Madiân: Efa, Efer, Hanoc, Abida et Eldaa. Tous ceux-là furent les enfants de Ketoura.
34 And Abraham begate Izhak: the sonnes of Izhak, Esau, and Israel.
Abraham engendra Isaac. Enfants d’Isaac: Esaü et Israël.
35 The sonnes of Esau were Eliphaz, Reuel, and Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah.
Enfants d’Esaü: Elifaz, Reouêl, Yeouch, Yâlam et Korah.
36 The sonnes of Eliphaz, Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
Enfants d’Elifaz: Têmân, Omar, Cefi, Gâtam, Kenaz, Timna et Amalec.
37 The sonnes of Reuel, Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah.
Enfants de Reouêl: Nahath, Zérah, Chamma et Mizza.
38 And the sonnes of Seir, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
Enfants de Séir: Lotân, Chobal, Cibôn, Ana, Dichôn, Ecer et Dichân.
39 And the sonnes of Lotan, Hori, and Homam, and Timna Lotans sister.
Enfants de Lotân: Hori et Homam; la sœur de Lotân était Timna.
40 The sonnes of Shobal were Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sonnes of Zibeon, Aiah and Anah.
Enfants de Chobal: Alyân, Manahath, Ebal, Chefi et Onam. Enfants de Cibôn: Ayya et Ana.
41 The sonne of Anah was Dishon. And the sonnes of Dishon, Amran, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
Enfants de Ana: Dichôn… Enfants de Dichôn: Hamrân, Echbân, Yithrân et Kerân.
42 The sonnes of Ezer were Bilhan, and Zaauan, and Iaakan. The sonnes of Dishon were Vz, and Aran.
Enfants d’Ecer: Bilhân, Zaavân et Yaakân. Enfants de Dichôn: Ouç et Arân.
43 And these were the Kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before a King reigned ouer the children of Israel, to wit, Bela the sonne of Beor, and the name of his citie was Dinhabah.
Ce sont ici les rois qui régnèrent dans le pays d’Edom, avant qu’un roi régnât sur les enfants d’Israël: Béla, fils de Beor. Le nom de sa ville natale était Dinhaba.
44 Then Bela died, and Iobab the sonne of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
Béla étant mort, à sa place régna Yobab, fils de Zérah, de Boçra.
45 And whe Iobab was dead, Hussham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
Yobab étant mort, à sa place régna Houcham, du pays des Témanites.
46 And when Hussham was dead, Hadad the sonne of Bedad which smote Midian in the fielde of Moab, reigned in his steade, and the name of his citie was Auith.
Houcham étant mort, à sa place régna Hadad, fils de Bedad, qui défit Madiân dans la campagne de Moab. Le nom de sa ville était Avith.
47 So Hadad dyed, and Samlah of Mashrecah reigned in his stead.
Hadad étant mort, à sa place régna Samla, de Masrêka.
48 And Samlah dyed, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the riuer reigned in his stead.
Samla étant mort, à sa place régna Chaoul, de Rehoboth-sur-le-Fleuve.
49 And when Shaul was dead, Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor reigned in his stead.
Chaoul étant mort, à sa place régna Baal-Hanân, fils d’Akhbor.
50 And Baal-hanan dyed, and Hadad reigned in his stead, and the name of his citie was Pai, and his wiues name Mehetabel the daughter of Matred the daughter of Mezahab.
Baal-Hanân étant mort à sa place régna Hadad, dont la ville avait nom Pâï et dont la femme s’appelait Mehêtabel, fille de Matred, fille de Mê-Zahab.
51 Hadad dyed also, and there were dukes in Edom, duke Timna, duke Aliah, duke Ietheth,
Hadad mourut, et voici quels furent les chefs d’Edom: le chef Timna, le chef Alva, le chef Yethêth,
52 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
le chef Oholibama, le chef Ela, le chef Pinôn,
53 Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
le chef Kenaz, le chef Têmân, le chef Mibçar,
54 Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these were the dukes of Edom.
le chef Magdiêl, le chef Iram. Tels furent les chefs d’Edom.
