< Zechariah 9 >
1 A prophecy: A message from the Lord to the land of Hadrach, and Damascus its main objective. For the eyes of human beings together with all the tribes of Israel are on the Lord,
Ọ̀rọ̀-ìmọ̀. Ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa kọjú ìjà sí Hadiraki, Damasku ni yóò sì jẹ́ ibi ìsinmi rẹ̀; nítorí ojú Olúwa ń bẹ lára ènìyàn, àti lára gbogbo ẹ̀yà Israẹli.
2 and Hamath too since it is close by. Also Tyre and Sidon for they are very wise.
Àti Hamati pẹ̀lú yóò ṣe ààlà rẹ̀ Tire àti Sidoni bí o tilẹ̀ ṣe ọlọ́gbọ́n gidigidi.
3 The people of Tyre built a fortress, and piled up silver like dust and gold like the dirt of the street.
Tire sì mọ odi líle fún ara rẹ̀, ó sì kó fàdákà jọ bí eruku, àti wúrà dáradára bí ẹrẹ̀ ìgboro.
4 But look at what will happen. The Lord will take away everything they have, and knock down their strong defenses into the sea. The city will be burned down.
Ṣùgbọ́n, Olúwa yóò kó gbogbo ohun ìní rẹ̀ lọ, yóò sì pa agbára rẹ̀ run ní ojú Òkun, a ó sì fi iná jó o run.
5 The people of Ashkelon will see this and be terrified; those in Gaza will thrash around in agony like a woman giving birth; and the people of Ekron too, because their hopes are shattered. The king of Gaza will be killed, and Ashkelon will be deserted.
Aṣkeloni yóò rí í, yóò sì bẹ̀rù; Gasa pẹ̀lú yóò rí í, yóò sì káàánú gidigidi, àti Ekroni: nítorí tí ìrètí rẹ̀ yóò ṣákì í. Gasa yóò pàdánù ọba rẹ̀, Aṣkeloni yóò sì di ahoro.
6 Mixed-race people will live in Ashdod, and I will wipe out the Philistine's pride.
Ọmọ àlè yóò sì gbé inú Aṣdodu, Èmi yóò sì gé ìgbéraga àwọn Filistini kúrò.
7 I will remove the blood-filled meat from their mouths; the unclean food from their jaws. Those who remain will belong to our God—they shall become like a family of Judah—and those from Ekron will become part of my people, just as the Jebusites did.
Èmi yóò sì mu ẹ̀jẹ̀ rẹ̀ kúrò ni ẹnu rẹ̀, àti àwọn ohun èèwọ̀ kúrò láàrín eyín rẹ̀: ṣùgbọ́n àwọn tó ṣẹ́kù yóò jẹ́ tí Ọlọ́run wa, wọn yóò sì jẹ baálẹ̀ ní Juda, àti Ekroni ni yóò rí bí Jebusi.
8 I will make my camp in my Temple to guard it from invaders, and no oppressors will conquer them, for now I myself am keeping watch.
Èmi yóò sì dó yí ilẹ̀ mi ká nítorí ogun àwọn tí wọ́n ń wá ohun tí wọn yóò bàjẹ́ kiri, kò sí aninilára tí yóò bori wọn mọ́: nítorí ni ìsinsin yìí ni mo fi ojú ṣọ́ wọn.
9 Be happy and celebrate, people of Zion! Shout loudly, people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He does what is right and has salvation; he is humble, riding on a donkey—on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
Kún fún ayọ̀, ìwọ ọmọbìnrin Sioni, hó ìhó ayọ̀, ìwọ ọmọbìnrin Jerusalẹmu. Wò ó, ọba rẹ ń bọ̀ wá sọ́dọ̀ rẹ: òdodo ni òun, ó sì ní ìgbàlà; ó ní ìrẹ̀lẹ̀, ó sì ń gun kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́, àní ọmọ kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́.
10 (I will remove the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem. I will destroy the bows used in battle.) He will proclaim peace to the nations, and he will rule from sea to sea, from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.
Èmi ó sì gbé kẹ̀kẹ́ kúrò ni Efraimu, àti ẹṣin ogun kúrò ni Jerusalẹmu, a ó sì ṣẹ́ ọrun ogun. Òun yóò sì kéde àlàáfíà sí àwọn kèfèrí. Ìjọba rẹ̀ yóò sì gbilẹ̀ láti Òkun dé Òkun, àti láti odò títí de òpin ayé.
11 And as for you, because my agreement with you, sealed with blood, I will set you free from the waterless pit.
Ní tìrẹ, nítorí ẹ̀jẹ̀ májẹ̀mú mi pẹ̀lú rẹ, Èmi ó dá àwọn ìgbèkùn rẹ̀ sílẹ̀ kúrò nínú ọ̀gbun.
12 Return to the stronghold, you prisoners who have hope! Today I promise I will repay you double what you lost.
Ẹ padà sínú odi agbára yín, ẹ̀yin òǹdè ti o ni ìrètí: àní lónìí yìí èmi sọ pé, èmi o san án fún ọ ni ìlọ́po méjì.
13 I will use Judah as my bow, and I will load it with Ephraim my arrow. I will call up you men of Zion to fight against you men of Greece, wielding you like a warrior's sword.
Èmi ó fa Juda le bí mo ṣe fa ọrun mi le, mo sì fi Efraimu kún un, Èmi yóò gbé àwọn ọmọ rẹ ọkùnrin dìde, ìwọ Sioni, sí àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ ọkùnrin, ìwọ Giriki, mo ṣe ọ́ bí idà alágbára.
14 Then the Lord will appear over his people and his arrow will flash like lightning! The Lord God will blow the trumpet and march out like a windstorm from the south.
Olúwa yóò sì fi ara hàn ní orí wọn; ọfà rẹ̀ yóò sì jáde lọ bí mọ̀nàmọ́ná. Olúwa Olódùmarè yóò sì fọn ìpè, Òun yóò sì lọ nínú atẹ́gùn ìjì gúúsù.
15 The Lord Almighty will protect them. They will destroy their enemies, conquering them with slingshots. They will drink and shout loudly like people who are drunk. They will be filled like a bowl, soaked liked the corners of an altar.
Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun yóò dáàbò bò wọ́n; wọn ó sì jẹ ni run, wọn ó sì tẹ òkúta kànnàkànnà mọ́lẹ̀; wọn ó sì mu ẹ̀jẹ̀ wọn bí wáìnì, wọn ó sì kún bí ọpọ́n, wọn ó sì rin ṣinṣin bí àwọn igun pẹpẹ.
16 On that day the Lord their God will save them—his people that are his flock—for they will glitter as crown jewels in his land.
Olúwa Ọlọ́run wọn yóò sì gbà wọ́n là ni ọjọ́ náà bí agbo ènìyàn rẹ̀: nítorí wọn ó dàbí àwọn òkúta adé, tí a gbé sókè bí àmì lórí ilẹ̀ rẹ̀.
17 How lovely and beautiful they will be! Young men will grow strong on grain, and young women flourish on the new wine.
Nítorí oore rẹ̀ tí tóbi tó, ẹwà rẹ̀ sì tí pọ̀! Ọkà yóò mú ọ̀dọ́mọkùnrin dárayá, àti ọtí wáìnì tuntun yóò mú àwọn ọ̀dọ́mọbìnrin ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ pẹ̀lú.
