Zechariah 9
1 A prophecy: A message from the Lord to the land of Hadrach, and Damascus its main objective. For the eyes of human beings together with all the tribes of Israel are on the Lord,
Gánh nặng lời Đức Giê-hô-va nghịch cùng đất Ha-đơ-rắc, nó sẽ đỗ trên Đa-mách: vì con mắt loài người và mọi chi phái Y-sơ-ra-ên đều ngó lên Đức Giê-hô-va.
2 and Hamath too since it is close by. Also Tyre and Sidon for they are very wise.
Lời ấy cũng phán về Ha-mát, láng giềng của Đa-mách, về Ty-rơ và Si-đôn, vì các thành ấy là rất khôn sáng.
3 The people of Tyre built a fortress, and piled up silver like dust and gold like the dirt of the street.
Vì Ty-rơ đã xây một đồn lũy cho mình, và thâu chứa bạc như bụi đất, vàng ròng như bùn ngoài đường.
4 But look at what will happen. The Lord will take away everything they have, and knock down their strong defenses into the sea. The city will be burned down.
Nầy, Chúa sẽ cất lấy của cải nó, xô quyền thế nó xuống biển, nó sẽ bị lửa thiêu nuốt.
5 The people of Ashkelon will see this and be terrified; those in Gaza will thrash around in agony like a woman giving birth; and the people of Ekron too, because their hopes are shattered. The king of Gaza will be killed, and Ashkelon will be deserted.
Aùch-ca-lôn sẽ thấy và sợ; Ga-xa cũng thấy và rất đau đớn, Eùc-rôn cũng vậy, vì sự nó trông mong sẽ nên xấu hổ; vua Ga-xa sẽ bị diệt và Aùch-ca-lôn sẽ không có dân cư.
6 Mixed-race people will live in Ashdod, and I will wipe out the Philistine's pride.
Con ngoại tình sẽ làm vua trong Aùch-đốt; ta sẽ trừ sự kiêu ngạo của người Phi-li-tin.
7 I will remove the blood-filled meat from their mouths; the unclean food from their jaws. Those who remain will belong to our God—they shall become like a family of Judah—and those from Ekron will become part of my people, just as the Jebusites did.
Nhưng ta sẽ cất máu nó khỏi miệng nó, và sự gớm ghiếc nó khỏi giữa răng nó; nó cũng sẽ được sót lại cho Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta, nó sẽ như tộc trưởng trong Giu-đa, và Eùc-rôn sẽ như người Giê-bu-sít.
8 I will make my camp in my Temple to guard it from invaders, and no oppressors will conquer them, for now I myself am keeping watch.
Ta sẽ đóng trại chung quanh nhà ta nghịch cùng cơ binh, hầu cho chẳng ai qua lại. Kẻ hà hiếp sẽ chẳng đi qua trong chúng nó nữa, vì bây giờ ta đã lấy mắt nhìn xem nó.
9 Be happy and celebrate, people of Zion! Shout loudly, people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He does what is right and has salvation; he is humble, riding on a donkey—on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
Hỡi con gái Si-ôn, hãy mừng rỡ cả thể! Hỡi con gái Giê-ru-sa-lem, hãy trổi tiếng reo vui! Nầy, Vua ngươi đến cùng ngươi, Ngài là công bình và ban sự cứu rỗi, nhu mì và cỡi lừa, tức là con của lừa cái.
10 (I will remove the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem. I will destroy the bows used in battle.) He will proclaim peace to the nations, and he will rule from sea to sea, from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.
Ta sẽ trừ tiệt xe cộ khỏi Eùp-ra-im, và ngựa khỏi Giê-ru-sa-lem; cung của chiến trận cũng sẽ bị trừ tiệt, và Ngài sẽ phán sự bình an cho các nước; quyền thế Ngài sẽ trải từ biển nầy đến biển kia, từ Sông cái cho đến các đầu cùng đất.
11 And as for you, because my agreement with you, sealed with blood, I will set you free from the waterless pit.
Còn ngươi cũng vậy, vì cớ máu của sự giao ước ngươi, thì ta tha những kẻ tù ngươi ra khỏi hố không có nước.
12 Return to the stronghold, you prisoners who have hope! Today I promise I will repay you double what you lost.
Hỡi những kẻ tù có trông cậy, các ngươi khá trở về nơi đồn lũy, chính ngày nay ta rao rằng sẽ báo trả cho ngươi gấp hai.
13 I will use Judah as my bow, and I will load it with Ephraim my arrow. I will call up you men of Zion to fight against you men of Greece, wielding you like a warrior's sword.
Ta giương Giu-đa ra cho ta như cái cung, và Eùp-ra-im như tên của nó; ta sẽ thúc giục con trai ngươi, hỡi Si-ôn, nghịch cùng con trai ngươi, hỡi Gia-van; và ta sẽ khiến ngươi như gươm của người mạnh bạo.
14 Then the Lord will appear over his people and his arrow will flash like lightning! The Lord God will blow the trumpet and march out like a windstorm from the south.
Bấy giờ Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ được thấy trên chúng nó, tên Ngài sẽ phát ra như chớp; Chúa Giê-hô-va sẽ thổi kèn, và đi với gió lốc phương nam.
15 The Lord Almighty will protect them. They will destroy their enemies, conquering them with slingshots. They will drink and shout loudly like people who are drunk. They will be filled like a bowl, soaked liked the corners of an altar.
Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân sẽ bảo hộ chúng nó, chúng nó sẽ nuốt và giày đạp những đá ném bởi trành; chúng nó sẽ uống và làm ồn ào như người say, sẽ được đầy dẫy như bát, như các góc bàn thờ.
16 On that day the Lord their God will save them—his people that are his flock—for they will glitter as crown jewels in his land.
Trong ngày đó, Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời chúng nó sẽ giải cứu dân mình như là bầy chiên, như những đá của mũ triều thiên sẽ được cất lên trên đất.
17 How lovely and beautiful they will be! Young men will grow strong on grain, and young women flourish on the new wine.
Sự nhơn từ Ngài và sự tốt đẹp Ngài sẽ lớn là dường nào! Lúa miến sẽ làm cho những trai trẻ lớn lên, và rượu mới sẽ làm cho gái đồng trinh thạnh vượng.
