Zechariah 9
1 A prophecy: A message from the Lord to the land of Hadrach, and Damascus its main objective. For the eyes of human beings together with all the tribes of Israel are on the Lord,
La carga de Yavé está en la tierra de Hadrac y llega a Damasco para descansar. De Yavé son las ciudades de Aram, así como todas las tribus de Israel,
2 and Hamath too since it is close by. Also Tyre and Sidon for they are very wise.
también la vecina Hamat, Tiro y Sidón, las muy sabias.
3 The people of Tyre built a fortress, and piled up silver like dust and gold like the dirt of the street.
Tiro se edificó una fortaleza, amontonó plata como polvo y oro como el lodo de las calles.
4 But look at what will happen. The Lord will take away everything they have, and knock down their strong defenses into the sea. The city will be burned down.
Pero ʼAdonay la desposeerá y echará al mar sus riquezas. Ella será devorada por el fuego.
5 The people of Ashkelon will see this and be terrified; those in Gaza will thrash around in agony like a woman giving birth; and the people of Ekron too, because their hopes are shattered. The king of Gaza will be killed, and Ashkelon will be deserted.
Lo verá Ascalón y temerá. Gaza se retorcerá de dolor, y también Ecrón, pues su esperanza fue avergonzada. El rey de Gaza perecerá. Ascalón ya no será habitada.
6 Mixed-race people will live in Ashdod, and I will wipe out the Philistine's pride.
Un hijo ilegítimo vivirá en Asdod. Así destruiré la altivez de los filisteos.
7 I will remove the blood-filled meat from their mouths; the unclean food from their jaws. Those who remain will belong to our God—they shall become like a family of Judah—and those from Ekron will become part of my people, just as the Jebusites did.
Apartaré la sangre de su boca y las repugnancias de entre sus dientes. También quedará un remanente de ellos para nuestro ʼElohim y será como una familia en Judá. Ecrón será como un jebuseo.
8 I will make my camp in my Temple to guard it from invaders, and no oppressors will conquer them, for now I myself am keeping watch.
Acamparé como guarnición alrededor de mi Casa, contra el que va y el que viene. El opresor no volverá a pasar sobre ellos, porque ahora Yo vigilo con mis ojos.
9 Be happy and celebrate, people of Zion! Shout loudly, people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He does what is right and has salvation; he is humble, riding on a donkey—on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
¡Alégrate mucho, hija de Sion! ¡Da voces de júbilo, hija de Jerusalén! Mira a tu Rey que viene a ti, justo y victorioso, humilde, montado en un pollino de asna.
10 (I will remove the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem. I will destroy the bows used in battle.) He will proclaim peace to the nations, and he will rule from sea to sea, from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.
Destruiré los carruajes de Efraín y los caballos de Jerusalén. El arco de guerra será quebrado, porque Él hablará paz a las naciones. Su soberanía será de mar a mar, y desde el Río hasta los confines de la tierra.
11 And as for you, because my agreement with you, sealed with blood, I will set you free from the waterless pit.
También en cuanto a ti, a causa de la sangre de tu pacto, liberaré a tus cautivos de la cisterna sin agua.
12 Return to the stronghold, you prisoners who have hope! Today I promise I will repay you double what you lost.
¡Oh cautivos de esperanza, vuelvan a la fortaleza! Hoy mismo les declaro que les restauraré al doble.
13 I will use Judah as my bow, and I will load it with Ephraim my arrow. I will call up you men of Zion to fight against you men of Greece, wielding you like a warrior's sword.
Tensaré a Judá como mi arco y cargaré mi arco con Efraín. Haré de ti, oh Sion, una espada de valiente. Incitaré a tus hijos, oh Sion, contra tus hijos, oh Grecia. Convertiré a Sion como una espada de guerrero.
14 Then the Lord will appear over his people and his arrow will flash like lightning! The Lord God will blow the trumpet and march out like a windstorm from the south.
Yavé será visto como su Jefe. Sus flechas saldrán como rayos. Yavé ʼAdonay tocará la trompeta y avanzará entre los remolinos del sur.
15 The Lord Almighty will protect them. They will destroy their enemies, conquering them with slingshots. They will drink and shout loudly like people who are drunk. They will be filled like a bowl, soaked liked the corners of an altar.
Yavé de las huestes los defenderá. Ellos devorarán y aplastarán con hondas, beberán y alborotarán como por causa del vino. Se llenarán como tazones o como las esquinas del altar.
16 On that day the Lord their God will save them—his people that are his flock—for they will glitter as crown jewels in his land.
En aquel día Yavé su ʼElohim los salvará, como el rebaño de su pueblo, porque son como piedras preciosas de una corona que brillan en su tierra.
17 How lovely and beautiful they will be! Young men will grow strong on grain, and young women flourish on the new wine.
Porque ¡cuán grande es su bondad y su hermosura! El trigo hará florecer a los jóvenes y el mosto a las doncellas.
