< Zechariah 9 >
1 A prophecy: A message from the Lord to the land of Hadrach, and Damascus its main objective. For the eyes of human beings together with all the tribes of Israel are on the Lord,
Mawu a Yehova odzudzula dziko la Hadiraki ndi mzinda wa Damasiko pakuti maso a anthu ndiponso mafuko onse a Israeli ali pa Yehova—
2 and Hamath too since it is close by. Also Tyre and Sidon for they are very wise.
ndiponso mzinda wa Hamati, umene ukuchita malire ndi dzikoli, komanso pa Turo ndi Sidoni, ngakhale kuti iwo ndi anzeru kwambiri.
3 The people of Tyre built a fortress, and piled up silver like dust and gold like the dirt of the street.
Ndipo Turo anadzimangira linga; wadziwunjikira siliva ngati fumbi, ndi golide ngati zinyalala za mʼmisewu.
4 But look at what will happen. The Lord will take away everything they have, and knock down their strong defenses into the sea. The city will be burned down.
Taonani Ambuye adzamulanda chuma chakecho ndi kuwononga mphamvu zake mʼnyanja, ndipo adzapserera ndi moto.
5 The people of Ashkelon will see this and be terrified; those in Gaza will thrash around in agony like a woman giving birth; and the people of Ekron too, because their hopes are shattered. The king of Gaza will be killed, and Ashkelon will be deserted.
Mzinda wa Asikeloni udzaona zimenezi, nʼkuchita mantha; Gaza adzanjenjemera ndi ululu, chimodzimodzinso Ekroni, chifukwa chiyembekezo chake chidzatheratu. Mfumu ya ku Gaza idzaphedwa ndipo Asikeloni adzakhala opanda anthu.
6 Mixed-race people will live in Ashdod, and I will wipe out the Philistine's pride.
Mu Asidodi mudzakhala mlendo, ndipo ndidzathetsa kunyada kwa Afilisti.
7 I will remove the blood-filled meat from their mouths; the unclean food from their jaws. Those who remain will belong to our God—they shall become like a family of Judah—and those from Ekron will become part of my people, just as the Jebusites did.
Ndidzachotsa nyama ya magazi mʼkamwa mwawo, chakudya choletsedwa mʼmano mwawo. Amene atsala adzakhala anthu a Mulungu wathu, adzasanduka atsogoleri mu Yuda, ndipo Ekroni adzakhala ngati Ayebusi.
8 I will make my camp in my Temple to guard it from invaders, and no oppressors will conquer them, for now I myself am keeping watch.
Koma Ine ndidzalondera Nyumba yanga ndi kuyiteteza kwa ankhondo osakaza. Palibenso mdani amene adzagonjetse anthu anga, pakuti tsopano ndikuwayangʼanira.
9 Be happy and celebrate, people of Zion! Shout loudly, people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He does what is right and has salvation; he is humble, riding on a donkey—on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
Sangalala kwambiri, iwe mwana wamkazi wa Ziyoni! Fuwula, mwana wamkazi wa Yerusalemu! Taona, mfumu yako ikubwera kwa iwe, yolungama ndi yogonjetsa adani, yodzichepetsa ndi yokwera pa bulu, pa mwana wamphongo wa bulu.
10 (I will remove the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem. I will destroy the bows used in battle.) He will proclaim peace to the nations, and he will rule from sea to sea, from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.
Ndidzachotsa magaleta ankhondo ku Efereimu ndi akavalo ankhondo ku Yerusalemu, ndipo uta wankhondo udzathyoka. Mfumuyo idzabweretsa mtendere pakati pa mitundu ya anthu. Ulamuliro wake udzayambira ku nyanja ina mpaka ku nyanja ina, ndipo kuchokera ku Mtsinje (Yufurate) mpaka ku malekezero a dziko lapansi.
11 And as for you, because my agreement with you, sealed with blood, I will set you free from the waterless pit.
Tsono kunena za iwe, chifukwa cha magazi a pangano lako ndi Ine, ndidzamasula amʼndende ako, ndidzawatulutsa mʼdzenje lopanda madzi.
12 Return to the stronghold, you prisoners who have hope! Today I promise I will repay you double what you lost.
Bwererani ku malo anu otetezedwa, inu amʼndende achiyembekezo; ngakhale tsopano ndikulengeza kuti ndidzakubwezerani zabwino mowirikiza.
13 I will use Judah as my bow, and I will load it with Ephraim my arrow. I will call up you men of Zion to fight against you men of Greece, wielding you like a warrior's sword.
Ndidzakoka Yuda monga ndimakokera uta wanga, ndipo Efereimu ndiye muvi wake. Ndidzadzutsa ana ako iwe Ziyoni, kulimbana ndi ana ako iwe Grisi, ndipo ndidzakusandutsa iwe lupanga la munthu wankhondo.
14 Then the Lord will appear over his people and his arrow will flash like lightning! The Lord God will blow the trumpet and march out like a windstorm from the south.
Pamenepo Yehova adzaonekera kwa anthu ake; mivi yake idzangʼanima ngati chingʼaningʼani. Ambuye Yehova adzaliza lipenga; ndipo adzayenda mu mkuntho wochokera kummwera,
15 The Lord Almighty will protect them. They will destroy their enemies, conquering them with slingshots. They will drink and shout loudly like people who are drunk. They will be filled like a bowl, soaked liked the corners of an altar.
ndipo Yehova Wamphamvuzonse adzawateteza. Iwo adzawononga ndipo adzagonjetsa ndi miyala ya legeni. Adzamwa magazi ndi kubangula ngati amwa vinyo; magazi adzayenderera ngati a mʼmbale yowazira magazi pa ngodya za guwa lansembe.
16 On that day the Lord their God will save them—his people that are his flock—for they will glitter as crown jewels in his land.
Tsiku limenelo Yehova Mulungu wawo adzawapulumutsa pakuti anthu ake ali ngati nkhosa. Adzanyezimira mʼdziko lake ngati miyala yokongola pa chipewa chaufumu.
17 How lovely and beautiful they will be! Young men will grow strong on grain, and young women flourish on the new wine.
Taonani chikoka ndi kukongola kwawo! Tirigu adzasangalatsa anyamata, ndi vinyo watsopano anamwali.
